Opis:
The existence of language varieties has a considerable impact on communication. They influence the interaction between language users from various centres due to the number of linguistic differences observed on the level of phonetics, spelling, grammar, lexis, and pragmatics. On the one hand, pluricentric languages connect people from various centres by using the “same” language, and on the other hand, they separate them by developing national norms. This article aims to demonstrate the importance of teaching language varieties in foreign language classes because the knowledge of national norms of pluricentric languages is essential in communication with people from various centres. Both English and German are pluricentric languages. Advanced language users should be aware of the differences between language varieties and be able to use the appropriate variety according to the communicative situation. The research undertaken in this article is meant to verify the undergraduate students’ knowledge of English and German varieties, emphasising terminology used in everyday life and their abilities to communicate in languages other than English or German.

The relation between morpho-syntactic structure and its externalization into interpretive levels is the topic of this article. In many languages, typically in Romance and Albanian varieties, modal contexts, specifically imperative and infinitive, and negation, give rise to phenomena of clitic reordering and an interesting micro-variation. Imperative differs from declarative sentences in selecting enclisis except in negative contexts. Moreover, in Albanian mesoclisis appears in the 2nd plural person of imperative, between the verbal base and the person inflection. A similar distribution characterizes Calabro-Lucanian varieties spoken in Lausberg area, in contact with Arbëresh (Italo-Albanian) dialects. This article proposes to analyze the influence of modal contexts on the lexicalization of object clitics (OCls) and their different behavior in connection to their referential properties. Our descriptive and theoretical starting point is the representational morpho-syntactic approach adopted in Manzini and Savoia (2011 and subsequent works; see Section 5).

For a class of hypersubstitutions , we define the -solidity of general varieties of tree languages (GVTLs) that contain tree languages over all alphabets, general varieties of finite algebras (GVFAs), and general varieties of finite congruences (GVFCs). We show that if is a so-called category of substitutions, a GVTL is -solid exactly in case the corresponding GVFA, or the corresponding GVFC, is -solid. We establish the solidity status of several known GVTLs with respect to certain categories of substitutions derived from some important classes of tree homomorphisms.

Denecke and Reichel have described a method of studying the lattice of all varieties of a given type by using monoids of hypersubstitutions. In this paper we develop a Galois correspondence between monoids of hypersubstitutions of a given type and lattices of subvarieties of a given variety of that type. We then apply the results obtained to the lattice of varieties of bands (idempotent semigroups), and study the complete sublattices of this lattice obtained through the Galois correspondence.

This article first traces current research on new words. Then some problems are addressed. Neologism research on the German language is characterized by lexicographic dominance and inadequate linguistic analysis. Further, lexicographic projects use newspapers and magazines as a data basis and equate this with "the German language". Lexicographic research only covers a subset of the questions on the topic of new words, and methods are influenced by underlying theory, questions and goals, so that linguistic and lexicographic opinions and procedures differ. The aim of linguistic work is to understand and not just to describe. Furthermore, language varieties are considered. This leads to greater diversity of neologisms than dictionaries suggest.

Graph algebras establish a connection between directed graphs without multiple edges and special universal algebras of type (2,0). We say that a graph G satisfies a term equation s ≈ t if the corresponding graph algebra $\underline{A(G)}$ satisfies s ≈ t. A class of graph algebras V is called a graph variety if $V = Mod_g Σ$ where Σ is a subset of T(X) × T(X). A graph variety $V' = Mod_gΣ'$ is called a biregular leftmost graph variety if Σ' is a set of biregular leftmost term equations. A term equation s ≈ t is called an identity in a variety V if $\underline{A(G)}$ satisfies s ≈ t for all G ∈ V. An identity s ≈ t of a variety V is called a hyperidentity of a graph algebra $\underline{A(G)}$, G ∈ V whenever the operation symbols occuring in s and t are replaced by any term operations of $\underline{A(G)}$ of the appropriate arity, the resulting identities hold in $\underline{A(G)}$. An identity s ≈ t of a variety V is called an M-hyperidentity of a graph algebra $\underline{A(G)}$, G ∈ V whenever the operation symbols occuring in s and t are replaced by any term operations in a subgroupoid M of term operations of $\underline{A(G)}$ of the appropriate arity, the resulting identities hold in $\underline{A(G)}$.
In this paper we characterize special M-hyperidentities in each biregular leftmost graph variety. For identities, varieties and other basic concepts of universal algebra see e.g. [3].

In connection with IPGR participation in various national and international projects during the recent years, investigations have been conducted, in order to create a database of available old plant materials of grain legumes of Bulgarian origin. Different areas throughout Bulgaria with diverse relief, soil and climatic conditions have been visited. From the literature review and collected from previous studies data we identified the specific areas these crops occupy traditionally in the home garden and are sentimentally linked to family traditions. Questionnaires were developed, which intended to complement and update the existing information about location, farmer’s name, number cultivated species, usage, cooking recipes and storage. In this respect, numerous interviews with local people were conducted and were visited community centers, museums, schools and other organizations and institutions.

Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is an important food and cash crop in Rwanda. The objective of this study was to identify suitable potato varieties for growing under aeroponics production systems. Four commercial potato varieties - Kirundo, CIP 393371-58, Kinigi and Kigega - were evaluated in an aeroponics green house at Rwanda Agriculture Board RAB-Musanze station, from January to May 2016. The study consisted of 30 plantlets per m2. The experimental design was a split plot design with four replications. In an enclosed environment, the supply of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), and other nutrients to plants were done by use of a mist nebulizer. The results showed there was an increased vegetative cycle in CIP 393371-58 (with 8.2 cm plant height and 3.3 nodes) followed by Kirundo (1 cm plant height and 1.5 nodes ), Kinigi (27.1 cm plant height and 6.2 nodes) and Kigega (56.4 cm height and 19.3 nodes), respectively. The maturity period of CIP 393371-58 was 70 days. This was earlier than Kinigi (77 days), Kirundo (112 days) and Kigega (156 days), respectively. The mini-tuber per plant production was also higher in CIP 393371-58 (41), followed by Kinigi (36), Kirundo (28) and Kigega (7), respectively. The data showed that the CIP 393371-58 variety was better adapted to an aeroponics environment than were Kinigi, Kirundo, and Kigega, respectively.

A field experiment was carried out in the Agricultural Experimental Station Zawady (52°03’ N; 22°33’E), owned by the Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in 2005–2007. The research was designed as a two factors randomized block with three replicates. The factors examined in the experiment included two potato varieties – Irga and Balbina and four weed control methods combined mechanical and chemical for herbicides application: Plateen 41,5 WG (metribuzin + flufenacet), Racer 250 EC (fluorochloridone), Sencor 70 WG (metribuzin), and control object – mechanical weeding before and after potato sprouting. The study was designed to test the influence of weed control methods on nitrates content in consumption potato tubers. The nitrates (V) content depended on the weed control methods, varieties and weather conditions throughout the growing season. The highest nitrates (V) content was determined when weeds were controlled mechanically and chemically using Sencor 70 WG. The study results demonstrated that Balbina had a higher concentration of nitrates (V) compared with Irga.

A field experiment was conducted in Międzyrzec Podlaski, (51°59’ N and 22°47’ E), Poland in the period from 2015 to 2017. The experiment was a two-way random split-plot arrangement of plots with three replicates. The following factors were examined: three varieties of potato – Honorata, Jelly, Tajfun, and four variants of application of biostimulants (Kelpak SL, Titanit, GreenOk, BrunatneBio Złoto). The control object comprised potato plants sprayed with distilled water. Biostimulators were applied to potato plants three times (beginning of flowering, full flowering and after flowering of the plants). The aim of the study was to determine the effect of biostimulants on the content and uptake of zinc and copper with the yield of potato tubers. High amount of rainfall in 2017 contributed to an increase in the content of zinc and copper in potato tubers. The tubers of potatoes treated with BrunatneBio Złoto had the highest contenting uptake of Zn and Cu compared to the control plants. The content of microelements in the tubers was significantly dependent on the genotype. The highest concentrations of Zn and Cu were found in the Honorata tubers, and the largest uptake was observed in the Jelly variety.
