Opis:
Modern Intelligent Transport Systems incorporate the traffic control strategies that are based not only on long term traffic analysis and forecasts, but also on the real time events detection like accidents or high congestion. The flexibility of these systems depends on accurate and precise data set describing the current state of road network. To estimate it, the data from various sources like: video surveillance, induction loops or vehicles itself (Vehicle to Infrastructure communication -V2I) is gathered. Excluding detection errors, the video surveillance data is a reliable source of general information about the traffic flow. On the other hand, the vehicle communication can provide less reliable, but more detailed information about a particular vehicle like: its engine state or planned manoeuvre. Unreliable or forged C2I information can be used to disturb traffic or to gain a higher priority on the road. The paper reviews the fusion algorithms that are used to merge data from video tracking algorithms and vehicular networks. Based on the survey, a weighted fusion algorithm is proposed that estimates the acquired data reliability. The algorithm uses the video surveillance data as a filter for C2I communication. Finally, applications for microscopic traffic models and safety issues are taken into consideration.

2-layer stable clustering scheme
Opis:
A special type of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) which has frequent changes of topology and higher mobility is known as Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs). In order to divide the network into groups of mobile vehicles and improve routing, data gathering, clustering is applied in VANETs. A stable clustering scheme based on adaptive multiple metric combining both the features of static and dynamic clustering methods is proposed in this work. Based on a new multiple metric method, a cluster head is selected among the cluster members which is taken from the mobility metrics such as position and time to leave the road segment, relative speed and Quality of Service metrics which includes neighborhood degree, link quality of the RSU and bandwidth. A higher QoS and cluster stability are achieved through the adaptive multiple metric. The results are simulated using NS2 and shows that this technique provides more stable cluster structured with the other methods.

Opis:
Vehicular Ad-hoc network (VANET) is an exacting form of Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) where the vehicles are act as nodes. Due to high mobility of nodes, high partitioned network and also dynamic changing routing protocols, the routing in Vanet is dispute one. The routing protocols functions should depends on the internal and external characteristics of VANET such as nodes mobility, road topology and obstacles which block the signal. A routing protocol is used to find the route between the nodes to communicate each other. The particular route to be selected by routing protocol. The routers have the information about the network which is directly connected to it. The routing protocol first forward the information to the immediate neighbor node, then it forward the information throughout the network. In VANET the routing protocol are classify based on topology, position of vehicle, cluster based vehicle, broadcast based routing and geocast based routing. This article explains the topology based routing protocol, especially reactive routing protocol which is a part of the topology based routing protocol.

In recent years, Vehicles are becomes the more intellectual system which is operated with the help of radio communications. Thus the vehicles are formed the network for communications based on the mobile Ad- hoc network (MANET) which is called as Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET). However security in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET) should become great challenges, due to communication development, because of dynamically changing protocols, high mobility of vehicles and also high partitioned network. In this paper we address the security requirements of vehicles and needed mechanisms to avoid the threats and attacks in VANET.

Opis:
Many of the safety related applications that can be facilitated by Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC), such as vehicle proximity warnings, automated braking (e.g. at level crossings), speed advisories, pedestrian alerts etc., rely on a robust vehicle positioning capability such as that provided by a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). Vehicles in remote areas, entering tunnels, high rise areas or any high multipath/ weak signal environment will challenge the integrity of GNSS position solutions, and ultimately the safety application it underpins. To address this challenge, this paper presents an innovative application of Cooperative Positioning techniques within vehicular networks. CP refers to any method of integrating measurements from different positioning systems and sensors in order to improve the overall quality (accuracy and reliability) of the final position solution. This paper investigates the potential of the DSRC infrastructure itself to provide an intervehicular ranging signal that can be used as a measurement within the CP algorithm. In this paper, time-based techniques of ranging are introduced and bandwidth requirements are investigated and presented. The robustness of the CP algorithm to inter-vehicle connection failure as well as GNSS dropouts is also demonstrated using simulation studies. Finally, the performance of the Constrained Kalman Filter used to integrate GNSS measurements with DSRC derived range estimates within a typical VANET is described and evaluated.

Opis:
In a smart city environment, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) enables the vehicle to generate and communicate messages for safety applications. There exists a challenge where the integrity of the message needs to be verified before passing it on to other vehicles. There should be a provision to motivate the honest vehicles who are reporting the true event messages. To achieve this, traffic regulations and event detections can be linked with blockchain technology. Any vehicle violating traffic rules will be issued with a penalty by executing the smart contract. In case any accident occurs, the vehicle nearby to the spot can immediately send the event message to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). It will check for its credibility and proceed with rewards. The authenticity of the vehicle inside the smart city area is verified by registering itself with UAVs deployed near the city entrance. This is enabled to reduce the participation of unauthorized vehicles inside the city zone. The Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA256) and Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA-192) are used for communication. The result of computation time for certificate generation and vehicles involvement rate is presented.
