Technologie informacyjno-komunikacyjne (TIK) są nieodłącznym elementem współczesnej gospodarki. Możliwości jakie oferuje odpowiednie wykorzystanie TIK w obszarze marketingu jest szczególnie widoczne w branżach o silnej wewnętrznej konkurencji. Niniejsze opracowanie ma za zadanie przybliżyć sposób wykorzystywania przez polskie przedsiębiorstwa działające w sektorze transportu wodnego (tj. dział 50 Polskiej Klasyfikacji Działalności) technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych wspomagających funkcję komunikacji marketingowej. Z uwagi na ograniczoną liczbę podmiotów tworzących ten dział, badanie obejmuje całość populacji, tj. ok. 1400 podmiotów gospodarczych. W szczególności badaniu poddane zostały rozwiązania wspierające komunikację i wymianę informacji przez przedsiębiorstwa, z wykorzystaniem technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych.
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are an essential element of today’s economy. The means that ICT provides in the area of marketing are especially visible in sectors with limited growth potential and strong internal competition. The paper discussed the scale of ICT use that empowers selected marketing functions by polish enterprises within the water transport sector (as described by the H50 section of the Polska Klasyfikacja Działalnosci). Due to the limited number of entities forming this economic sector the study covers the entire population - approximately 1400 entities. In particular the study concentrates on tools improving communication and data exchange with companies partners using ICT.

The contemporary international pandemic proved that a flexible approach towards work, trade and healthcare is not only favorable but a must. Hence, the devices enabling home‐rehabilitation became one of the urgent needs of the medical market. The following overview is a part of an R&D project aimed at designing an exoskeleton and developing methods enabling effective home rehabilitation. It contains a comparison of current devices in terms of their kinematics, applications, weights, sizes, and integration with selected ICT technologies. The data is analyzed regarding conclusions from qualitative research, based on in‐depth interviews with physiotherapists and questionnaires organized beforehand. The investigation assesses whether commercial and developed devices enable feedback from a patient by all possible means; hence, if they could allow effective telerehabilitation. Moreover, their capabilities of increasing engagement and accelerating improvements by supervising techniques and measuring biomechanical parameters are evaluated. These outcomes are a base to set the constraints and requirements before designing an exoskeleton dedicated to home treatment.

Opis:
Self-similar nature of ICT traffic causes big impact on queuing performance needed in providing a certain level of Quality of Service. Therefore, synthesis of fractal process for simulation and analysis purposes should be fast and accurate. In this article it is proposed how to simplify distribution of interarrivals in the renewal process in order to implement the inverse distribution technique to generate random variables. Proposed method improves simulation performance by reducing computational complexity leaving the accuracy almost unchanged.

Opis:
The aim of this paper is to present the concept of construction and operation of progressive enterprises. The features and tasks of progressive organizations and the most important factors for their development have been presented. Based on a short genesis and characteristics of the data management systems, which are the basis for the functioning of any enterprise, the basic requirements of a modern and advanced data repositories have been formulated and the most important implementing and research problems have been highlighted. The directions of the development of research oriented towards the continuous improvement of data and information management technologies and their presentation to meet the knowledge needs necessary for the development of the organization have been also indicated. The essence of one of the emerging scientific disciplines, the infonomics, which gives rise to the new, now the most attractive professions, according to the Harvard Business Review (Davenport and Patil, 2012) magazine has been brought closer. The results of the conducted research allowed to evaluate the selected companies in terms of their level of progress and to determine the stage of their development towards progressive organizations.
Celem niniejszego opracowania jest zaprezentowanie koncepcji budowy i funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw postępowych. Przedstawiono cechy i zadania znamienne dla organizacji postępowych oraz najważniejsze czynniki sprzyjające ich rozwojowi. Na podstawie krótkiej genezy i charakterystyki systemów zarządzania danymi, które są podstawą funkcjonowania każdego przedsiębiorstwa, sformułowano podstawowe wymogi stawiane zaawansowanym i nowoczesnym repozytoriom danych oraz podkreślono najistotniejsze problemy badawcze i implementacyjne. Wskazano także kierunki rozwoju badań naukowych zorientowanych na ciągłe doskonalenie technologii zarządzania danymi i informacjami oraz sposobu ich prezentacji dla zaspokojenia potrzeb w zakresie wiedzy niezbędnej dla rozwoju organizacji. Przybliżono istotę jednej z powstających dyscyplin naukowych, jaką jest infonomics, dającej początek nowej profesji, obecnie najatrakcyjniejszej według magazynu Harvard Business Review (Davenport and Patil, 2012). Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań pozwoliły na ocenę wybranych przedsiębiorstw pod względem poziomu postępowości oraz ustalenie etapu ich rozwoju w kierunku organizacji postępowych.

Opis:
The study analyses opinions and attitudes among Chemistry teachers participating in the national project titled “Modernisation of the Educational Process in Primary and Secondary Schools”. The research part of the study consists of the results of our findings examining the overall satisfaction of course participants with the professional level, difficulty, and contents of the designed TPACK-based (the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) teaching model, as well as their self-assessment of the acquired skills and knowledge regarding the work with particular software and hardware applications. The results indicate that the course based on the TPACK framework and comprising specific examples of teaching activities supported by the use of technology was highly appreciated by teachers. Examples of methodologies for a suitable use of digital technologies in a particular curriculum topic in Chemistry, based on the TPACK model, were evaluated by teachers as the most beneficial ones, in terms of the actual teaching practice. The research confirmed that teachers expect to receive educational technologies together with high-quality methodical guidelines and particular examples of teaching activities involving appropriate and efficient use of the given digital technology in the teaching process.
Analizie poddano opinie i postawy nauczycieli chemii biorących udział w narodowym projekcie „Modernizacja Procesu Edukacyjnego w Szkołach Podstawowych i Ponadpodstawowych”. Część badawcza opracowania składa się z analizy wyników, które prezentują ogólne zadowolenie uczestników kursu z poziomu zawodowego, trudności i treści zaprojektowanego modelu nauczania opartego na TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) oraz samoocenę nabytych umiejętności i wiedzy w zakresie pracy z poszczególnymi aplikacjami programowymi i sprzętowymi. Wyniki wskazują, że kurs oparty o ramy TPACK i obejmujący konkretne przykłady działań dydaktycznych wspieranych przez wykorzystanie technologii został wysoko oceniony przez nauczycieli. Przykłady metodologii właściwego wykorzystania technologii cyfrowych w konkretnym temacie nauczania chemii z wykorzystaniem modelu TPACK zostały ocenione przez nauczycieli jako najkorzystniejsze pod względem faktycznej praktyki dydaktycznej. Badania potwierdziły, że nauczyciele oczekują technologii edukacyjnych wraz z wysokiej jakości wskazówkami metodycznymi oraz konkretnymi przykładami działań dydaktycznych wiążących się z odpowiednim i efektywnym wykorzystaniem danej technologii cyfrowej w procesie nauczania.

There being a contradiction between the didactic systems of comprehensive school and university, university teachers have to find solution to the problem of first-year students’ didactic adaptation. The wide use of ICT in doing every university course calls for adequate teaching methods and didactic conditions for students’ efficient progress in their first year of study at university. The article provides the condition of first-year students’ didactic adaptation within the educational environment enriched with ICT on the basis of the pilot research carried out at Vinnytsia Educational and Scientific Institute of Economics of Ternopil National Economic University. Although the results of the pilot research show students’ weaknesses of use of ICT, they prove the positive impact of the educational environment enriched with ICT on first-year students’ didactic adaptation, since it increases their didactic motivation and in many ways facilitates educational activities.

During recent decades, the rate of structural shifts in the world economy has been especially fast. One of the factors used to influence these processes was to actively develop hi-tech industries and information and communication technologies. With the course of time, the level of informatization of society becomes a defining factor for a country’s competitiveness and predefines its ability to integrate into the global economy. The article characterizes the readiness of different countries to make a move to an innovative way of development based on analysis of combined rating tables that contain integral indices of society’s informatization level. The level of accomplishment of the task to form an innovative type of economy can be assessed in the link between implementation of science and technology progress achievements (i.e.: through the use of information and communication technologies) and the level of socio-economic development of the world countries. Current positions held by Russia and Poland according to some integral indices are also being analyzed.

This article presents the main assumptions and general results of the "ICT Guides" project implemented under the Erasmus + program. This project was initiated by the local government of the city of Goteborg in Sweden, and its aim was to reduce the phenomenon of early school leaving by children and youth from immigrant families. The project was also joined by the authorities of three other European cities, namely Sheffield (Great Britain), Madrid (Spain) and Berlin (Germany). The project consisted in organizing of intergenerational learning courses with the participation of children and young people from immigrant families and local seniors, which were supported by information and communication technologies (ICT) and Internet applications. Apart from conventional meeting places, such senior clubs, community centers, intergenerational cooperation and intergenerational learning, there was also cyberspace. The University of Lodz was the research institution preparing the theoretical framework for the project implementation and evaluated the project.
Projekt „ICT Guides” zrealizowany został w ramach programu Erasmus+. Był zainicjowany przez władze samorządowe miasta Goeteborg w Szwecji, a jego celem było ograniczenie zjawiska porzucania edukacji szkolnej przez dzieci i młodzież z rodzin imigranckich. Do projektu przystąpiły też inne europejskie metropolie doświadczające tego problem, to znaczy Sheffield (Wielka Brytania), Madryt (Hiszpania) i Berlin (Niemcy). Projekt polegał głównie na cyklicznym organizowaniu kursów międzypokoleniowego uczenia się z udziałem dzieci i młodzieży z rodzin imigrantów i lokalnych seniorów, które wspomagane były przez nowoczesne technologie (ICT) i aplikacje internetowe. Prócz konwencjonalnych miejsc spotkań, takich jak kluby seniora, domy kultury, świetlice środowiskowe, międzypokoleniowa współpraca i międzypokoleniowe uczenie się zachodziło także w cyberprzestrzeni. Instytucją badawczą, przygotowującą złożenia teoretyczne dla realizacji działań w projekcie i ewaluującą projekt był Wydział Nauk o Wychowaniu Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja głównych wyników badań przeprowadzonych w ramach projektu, głównie zidentyfikowanie i wyjaśnienie możliwości międzypokoleniowego uczenia się w wirtualnym świecie, kreowanym przez nowoczesne narzędzia i technologie (z ang. ICT – information and communication technologies).

The information society is a product of the intersection of socio-historical-technological contexts, where the development of science and industry has a global reach. The pervasiveness of new information and communication technologies makes it an essential component of a new civilization, afecting every country in varying degrees. Although this techniques approach is grounded in some truth, it neglects other vital aspects that challenge the idea of an information society that prioritizes human needs. The leading nations have achieved this through active research and development, driven by government involvement and the signicfiant contributions of universities. Furthermore, the collaboration of diverse economic, institutional, social, and civic actors has played an essential role in its advancement. However, constructing and promoting an information society transcends infrastructure. It involves political actions that consider the socio-technological nature of this development and its impact on society and other sectors of activity. The objective of this article is twofold. On the one hand, the study analysed the situation of Algeria and its position in relation to other countries regarding the information society, and the other examined the factors that influence the development of the information society in Algeria, trying to identify the most important ones. Finally, the authors proposed a development strategy in this area. The research thesis was formulated as follows: What are the key variables that have an impact on the development of digitalization and the information society in Algeria? Thus, the regulatory frameworks of the most advanced countries are central to the initiatives aimed at its development. To foster the emergence of an information society in Algeria, solidarity must be strengthened, diversity promoted, and the potential of all citizens catalysed.
Zjawisko społeczeństwa informacyjnego łączy problemy społeczno-historyczno-technologiczne, gdzie rozwój nauki i przemysłu ma zasięg globalny. Wszechobecność nowych technologii informacyjnych i komunikacyjnych sprawia, że jest to niezbędny składnik nowej cywilizacji, wpływający w różnym stopniu na każdy kraj. Ten pogląd jest jednak jednostronny i pomija inne istotne aspekty, które podważają ideę społeczeństwa informacyjnego, stawiając na pierwszym miejscu ludzkie potrzeby. Wiodące państwa osiągnęły to dzięki aktywnym badaniom i rozwojowi, napędzanym zaangażowaniem rządów i badaniami naukowymi. Współpraca różnych podmiotów gospodarczych, instytucjonalnych, społecznych i obywatelskich odegrała zasadniczą rolę w rozwoju społeczeństwa informacyjnego. Budowanie i promowanie społeczeństwa informacyjnego wykracza poza odnoszenie się jedynie do infrastruktury, obejmuje bowiem działania polityczne, które uwzględniają społeczno-technologiczny charakter tego rozwoju i jego wpływ na społeczeństwo i inne sektory działalności. Cele artykułu stanowią analiza sytuacji Algierii i jej pozycji w stosunku do innych krajów w zakresie społeczeństwa informacyjnego, badanie czynników wpływających na rozwój społeczeństwa informacyjnego w Algierii, a także zidentyfikowanie najważniejszych z nich. W artykule zaproponowano strategię rozwoju w tym obszarze. Problem badawczy sformułowano następująco: jakie są kluczowe zmienne wpływające na rozwój cyfryzacji i społeczeństwa informacyjnego w Algierii? Ramy regulacyjne najbardziej rozwiniętych krajów mają kluczowe znaczenie dla inicjatyw mających na celu ich rozwój. Aby wspierać powstawanie społeczeństwa informacyjnego w Algierii, należy wzmocnić solidarność, promować różnorodność i pobudzić potencjał wszystkich obywateli.

Otoczenie biznesu nierozerwalnie związane jest z postępującym procesem globalizacji, który obecnie stymulowany jest dynamicznym rozwojem technologii ICT. Wynikiem tych zależności jest cyfryzacja transformacji środowiska biznesowego. W artykule omówione zostały zagadnienia związane z globalizacją, która kreuje nowy układ zależności w otoczeniu biznesowym. Przedstawiono wpływ cyfryzacji na środowisko biznesowe, wskazując, że stanowi kluczowy czynnik transpozycji procesów biznesowych. Nowoczesne technologie zmieniają sposób zarządzania biznesem przez wyznaczanie nowych ram możliwości współpracy, kształtują strategie, struktury organizacyjne, a przede wszystkim przyczyniają się do rozwoju nowych modeli biznesowych. Rozważania prowadzą do realizacji celu, jakim było wskazanie wzrostu znaczenia cyfryzacji w zmianach w środowisku biznesowym. Ten wzrost znaczenia zdecydowanie przyspieszył w dobie wydarzeń związanych z pandemią koronawirusa COVID-19. W niniejszym artykule wykorzystano badania własne, studia literaturowe, źródła internetowe, analizę porównawczą oraz logikę wnioskowania.

The task of this paper is to provide a theoretically and empirically grounded discussion on a sustainable information society. Its purpose is to show the road that lies ahead for researchers in a sustainable information society. Firstly, this paper introduces sustainability as a new dimension of an information society as well as provides a definition of a sustainable information society and its conceptual model. Secondly, the framework of critical success factors for a sustainable information society is indicated. The paper concludes with some academic recommendation concerning the development of research on a sustainable information society. This is a conceptual paper based on the results of a critical literature review, action research and case studies, the Delphi study and systems thinking.

Opis:
Research background: The literature on the effects of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on performance is extensive and shows a significant positive effect. Likewise, the use of ICT to facilitate and report on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices implemented by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) contributes to improve business performance. Moreover, through innovative activities, firms also obtain competitive advantages that impact positively on their performance, even more so when they are impacted by CSR. For this reason, it is expected that the adoption of ICTs in companies through a CSR-oriented strategy will increase their impact on business performance.   Purpose of the article: This article tries to examine how ICT affects SMEs' performance through CSR and innovation. Methods: We tested our hypotheses using a sample of 2,825 Spanish SMEs and by applying a Partial Least Squares Path Modeling (PLS-PM) with a double confirmatory and predictive purpose: to identify the causal relationships between latent variables, and to evaluate the ability of the model to make predictions for individual cases. Findings & value added: The results show that CSR-oriented ICT impacts innovation by changing strategies and business model in companies. Moreover, the implementation of CSR practices gave them competitive advantages to increase their performance. We highlight how innovation gives companies greater capacity to respond to changes in their environment and how innovation positively impacts the link between CSR and performance. Finally, our research makes two significant contributions to the literature by incorporating two sequential mediating effects into the model. On the one hand, the indirect effect of ICT on innovation through CSR. On the other hand, the indirect effect of CSR on SME performance through innovation.

Opis:
The article is devoted to implementation of a duty of maintaining electronic medical records. The date of the duty’s commencement is not known but the very coming into existence of the duty is quite possible. The duty of maintaining electronic medical records means that every medical documentation, namely either the collective or individual medical documentation, made and kept in electronic version – computer files. The significant problem is a phenomenon of paper documents annexed to electronic documentation. One can also find in the text some considerations about admissibility of writing electronic documentation on paper after the entry into force of a duty of maintaining electronic medical records. The premises of admissibility of maintaining electronic medical records have been analysed as well.
Praca poświęcona jest wprowadzeniu obowiązku prowadzenia dokumentacji medycznej w postaci elektronicznej. Data wejścia w życie obowiązku nie jest znana, jednak samo jego pojawienie się jest bardzo prawdopodobne. Obowiązek prowadzenia dokumentacji medycznej w postaci elektronicznej oznacza, że wszystkie dokumenty medyczne – zarówno zbiorcza dokumentacja medyczna, jak i indywidualna dokumentacja medyczna – sporządzane oraz przechowywane są w postaci dokumentów elektronicznych, czyli plików komputerowych. Istotnym problemem jest zjawisko dokumentów papierowych dołączanych do dokumentacji elektronicznej. W artykule prowadzone są również rozważania nad dopuszczalnością prowadzenia papierowej dokumentacji medycznej po wejściu w życie obowiązku prowadzenia dokumentacji medycznej w postaci elektronicznej. Przeanalizowano także przesłanki dopuszczalności prowadzenia dokumentacji medycznej w postaci elektronicznej.

W artykule przedstawiono problematykę edukacji multimedialnej w procesie wychowania przedszkolnego, tak istotną wobec szybkiego tempa rozwoju technologii cyfrowych zmieniających świat, a więc także sposoby i kierunki kształcenia na wszelkich szczeblach nauczania. W celu poprawy wiedzy i umiejętności wykorzystania technologii cyfrowych podczas zajęć z dziećmi przez kadrę pedagogiczną w ww. placówkach, potrzebne było przeprowadzenie szkoleń w formie wykładów i warsztatów. Analiza wyników badań, jakimi objęte były uczestniczki przed i po zakończeniu powyższych szkoleń, wskazała na konieczność wprowadzenia systemowego programu kształcenia nauczycieli wychowania przedszkolnego obejmującego naukę z opisanych w niniejszym artykule obszarów technologii cyfrowych.
The article presents a significant topic of multimedia education in the pre-school period, which is very important because of fast development of digital technologies that are changing the world as well as the ways and directions of education on every level of teaching. In order to improve teachers’ knowledge and skills in digital technology use during classes with children in pre-schools, it was necessary to conduct a series of trainings in the form of lectures and workshops. The analysis of the participants’ surveys before and after the trainings revealed the necessity of introducing a systematic educational program for pre-school teachers, covering areas of digital technologies described in this article.

Pierwsze definicje telemedycyny pochodzą z lat 70. XX wieku, jednak próby wykorzystania narzędzi komunikacyjnych dla potrzeb medycznych opisywano co najmniej 100 lat wcześniej. W miarę jak pojawiały się coraz bardziej doskonałe możliwości transmisji danych, konstruowano coraz bardziej złożone systemy telemedyczne. Przesłanki dla rozwoju pierwszych systemów telemedycznych obejmowały zapewnienie dostępu do pomocy medycznej na obszarach słabo zaludnionych, w sytuacjach kryzysowych lub też w trakcie podróży morskich lub lotniczych. W miarę rozwoju technologii informatycznych coraz większą rolę zaczęły odgrywać kwestie związane z usprawnieniem opieki medycznej, dostępem do dokumentacji medycznej czy też możliwością uzyskania konsultacji specjalistycznych. Obecnie, kluczowym pojęciem dla zastosowania systemów teleinformatycznych w ochronie zdrowia jest e-zdrowie. Oznacza ono zarówno kontakty telemedyczne pomiędzy lekarzem i pacjentem albo pomiędzy lekarzami, jak i dostęp do informacji zdrowotnych w Internecie dla pacjentów, ich rodzin i wszystkich obywateli, a także rozwój systemów informatycznych w placówkach medycznych i innych podmiotach działających na rynku usług zdrowotnych i oferowanie usług wspierających, np. rejestracji online albo e-recepty.
The first definitions of telemedicine come from 1970s but the first attempts to use communication tools in medicine were described at least one hundred years before. As the increasingly better opportunities of data transmission emerged, new and more complex telemedicine systems were developed. The reasons for the development of the first telemedicine systems included the necessity to provide access to medical assistance in sparsely populated areas, emergency situations or during sea or air travel. Issues concerning the enhancement of medical care, the access to medical data or the possibility to receive specialist consultation started to gain in importance with the development of ICT technologies. Recently, eHealth is the key term to be used in ICT application in healthcare. It refers both to contacts between medical staff and patients, or between medical staff, and the online access of patients, their relatives and all citizens to health data as well as the development of IT systems in medical institutions and any other healthcare entities and the provision of such support activities as online registration or e-prescribing.
