Article presents simulated research and visualization of combustion process of four-cylinder test engine based on the spark ignition engine Toyota Yaris 1.300 cm3, equipped with two systems of power supply i.e. : fundamental and ignition. Two methods of initiating the combustion process were applied in the engine, that is : from spark ignition and after it has turned off - the combustion is initiated by means of the injection of the ignition dose. The conducted research was aimed at revealing the differences in the combustion process and the engine performance, especially the changes of pressure in the cylinder for that kind of dual-fuel power engine supply. The ignition dose injected to cylinder was equal to about 5% of the general mass of the fuel given to the engine. The mass of the fuel injected to the infold manifold determined the remaining part, and direct injection of fuel took place for several dozen rotation degrees of the crankshaft before TDC (Top Dead Centre). A spatial grid of the engine's model (preprocessor) was created as well as the modification of the source KIVA 3V program was executed, consisting of taking into account two systems of injection. It is necessary to mention, that KIVA 3V program contains only one source of fuel's injection as a default. On two-dimensional graphs, the courses of changes of pressure and temperature are presented as well as the change of the mass of the injected ignition dose. A simulation was conducted for chosen rotation angles of the crankshaft, for the purpose of a radical analysis of thermodynamic parameters along with an analysis of the toxic components of the exhaust fumes. The conclusions of the conducted simulated research confirm the reduction of fuel consumption with a simultaneous reduction of the emissions of toxic exhaust fumes components.

The article presents an experimental research conducted on a test engine based on a driving unit with a spark ignition Toyota Yaris 1,300 cm 3, equipped with two systems of power supply i.e.: fundamental and ignition. Two methods of initiating the combustion process were applied in the engine i.e.: from spark ignition and after it has turned off - the combustion is initiated by means of the injection of the ignition dose. The fundamental task of The adaptation of two power supply systems for a combustion engine is the possibility of work in two thermodynamic circulations, which permits better conditions for creating the fuel-air mixture, which translates directly into significant improvement of the engine's working parameters accuracy, such as general efficiency as well as the individual fuel consumption. The experimental research presented in this work consist of designing and construction of an engine with two injection systems with a controller managing the automatic change of the work mode, as well as the execution of the analysis of the chosen work parameters in a two-cycle engine i.e.: - comparative research on the engine's work performance, when it works with a spark ignition and when it is initiated with the autoignition of the ignition dose, - determining the increase in the general efficiency of the two-cycle engine, working with the injection of the ignition dose, in comparison with the conventional power supply system with the initiation of the combustion process from an electric discharge between the spark plug electrodes. Applying the two-cycle engine with two power supply systems with an automatic spark ignition presented in this article, along with the electronically controlled system of changing the ignition method, increases the general efficiency in the total range of rotational speed, compared with the conventional engines with the automatic spark ignition

Let G = (V, E) be a graph with p vertices and q edges is said to be a two modulo three sum graph if there is an injective function f from V(G) to { a∶0≤a≤3q-1 and either a≡0(mod 3) or a≡2(mod 3)} where q is the number of edges of G and such that finduces a bijectionf^* from E(G) to {a∶2≤a≤3q-1 and a≡2(mod 3)} given byf^* (uv)=f(u)+f(v)and the function f is called two modulo three sum labeling of G. In this paper, we introduce an analog of sum labeling known as two modulo three sum labeling and we define two modulo three sum labeling of some tree related graphs. Also we prove that split star, mirror path graph, complete bipartite graph and C_4 ʘ〖nK〗_1 are two modulo three sum graphs.

The paper shows how a certain kind of underlying representations (or deep forms) of words can be constructed in a straightforward manner through aligning the surface forms of the morphs of the word forms. The inventory of morphophonemes follows directly from this alignment. Furthermore, the two-level rules which govern the different realisations of such morphophonemes follow fairly directly from the previous steps. The alignment and rules are based upon an approximate general metric among phonemes, e.g., articulatory features, that determines which alternations are likely or possible. This enables us to summarise contexts for the different realisations.

The paper deals with new construction of low pressure cylinder (LPC) for condensing steam turbines. The flow path of these cylinders is formed on the base of new two-tier stages. As opposed to well known Baumann’s stages newer two-tier stages is a combination of two independent stages with own blades set. Such construction allows to decrease the number of LPC in the existing turbines or to ensure their operation with very high vacuum in the condenser or increases in 1.5 times power capacity of new turbines without increasing of the last stage blade length and LPC number.

This paper presents effective ways to increase the carrying and reliability of thrust bearings. Technical solutions implemented by TRIZ Ltd have been considered. In comparative characteristics of the bearing took into account such factors as: capacity, peripheral speed at the average radius, speed at the periphery, specific pressure, specific lubricant consumption. Comprehensive analysis of the working conditions of bearing was aimed to protect against electroerosion.

Opis:
Low emissions gas turbine combustors will demand fuel injection systems that are efficient in the accomplishment of the mixing of fuel and air in the shortest possible residence time. This paper describes a computational study of a polydisperse two-phase turbulent jet, which is the basic configuration to analyze how the various parameters influence the size distribution and the dispersion of the droplets in the injection process. An Eulerian frame for the for the gas phase was used in conjunction with a Lagrangian approach to describe both interphase slip and turbulence on particle motion. Good agreement of the computations with the experimental data is obtained for both the gas and the particles turbulence modulation and anisotropy effects were introduced and were found to be very important to the successful performance of the computational method. The exchange of monumentum and turbulence energy between the two phases was shown to play a decisive role on the flow development. The predictions confirmed the measurements and showed that the particles do not follow the turbulent gas flow, but they affect it significantly. Considerably high values of the radial velocity were detected around the centerline far from the jet exit where the velocity of the particles lags that of the fluid, that seems to be associated with the effect of shear induced lift forces.
Przedstawiono studium komputerowe polidyspersyjnej dwufazowej strugi turbulentnej, które jest bazą wyjściową do oceny wpływu różnych parametrów na rozkład średnicy kropel podczas wtrysku do ośrodka gazowego. Wykorzystano Eulerowską analizę do fazy gazowej oraz analizę Lagrange'a do obliczania drogi cząstek. Uzyskane wyniki obliczeniowe są zgodne z eksperymentalnymi. Turbulencja i niejednorodność średnic kropel mają istotny wpływ na rozwój strumienia. Stwierdzono także, że składowe promieniowe prędkości z daleka od otworu rozpylacza uzyskują wysokie wartości.

It follows easily from a result of Lindenstrauss that, for any real twodimensional subspace v of L¹, the relative projection constant λ(v;L¹) of v equals its (absolute) projection constant $λ(v) = sup_X λ(v;X)$. The purpose of this paper is to recapture this result by exhibiting a simple formula for a subspace V contained in $L^∞(ν)$ and isometric to v and a projection $P_∞$ from C ⊕ V onto V such that $∥P_∞∥ = ∥P₁∥$, where P₁ is a minimal projection from L¹(ν) onto v. The two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) is an important pest of many horticultural crops. A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of three fluorescent Pseudomonas isolates obtained from rhizospheric soil of tomato (Solanum lycopersicon) in Agadir, Morocco: Q110B, Q036B and Q172B, as potential biological control agents for T. urticae. Both acaricide and repellent activities were assessed on homogenous adult mites. The acaricidal activity test evaluated five concentrations of bacterial suspensions: 0 (control), 102, 104, 106, 108, and 1010 cfu ⋅ ml–1, while only the 1010 cfu ∙ ml−1 concentration of each bacterium was used for the repellent bioassay. The mortality rate and repellentindex were recorded 24, 48 and 72 h after application. Results indicated that the survival rate of T. urticae was reduced (p ≤ 0.01) by all three bacterial isolates compared to control. Within the 24–72 h time period the mortality rates ranged from 8 to 87%, 16 to 99%, and 13 to 89%, for Q110B, Q036B and Q172B isolates, respectively. The isolate Q036B (LC50 = 0.598 cfu ⋅ ml–1) provided higher mortality rates than Q172B and Q110B with LC50 values of 90,846 and 169,585 cfu ⋅ ml–1, respectively. Repellent activity was also the highest with Pseudomonas Q036B having a 71% repellence index at 48 h after application. Regarding the mechanism of action, all three isolates produced hydrogen cyanide, and exhibited protease and cellulose activities, although only Q036B and Q172B had potential chitinase action. Identification analysis showed that the isolates were either Pseudomonas putida (Q172B) or P. fluorescens (Q110B and Q036B). Our results indicate that the P. fluorescens isolate Q036B is a promising candidate for biological control of T. urticae, and has potential to contribute to an integrated pest management program to control this important pest. Then the fruits produced will be qualified as safe for consumers and the environment. The present work was customized to give support for policy decision makers as an agroecological potential meeting needs of industries and ecological balance.

The study of dynamic behavior of functional graded circular plates has gained significant attention in engineering in recent time due to the vast application of the material in engineering and manufacturing industry. This study focus on the application of two-dimensional differential transform method to investigate the dynamic response of functional graded circular plates resting on two-parameter elastic foundations. However, the maximum deflection is obtained using dimensionless scheme, Laplace-Padè approximant is used to treat the small domain issue of the analytical solutions. Also, the solutions obtained are used for parametric investigation. From the results, it is found out that increase in Winkler, Pasternak and combine foundation parameters results to decrease in maximum deflection, increase in material properties of the functional graded plates leads to decrease in maximum deflection, clamped boundary condition has the lower deflection. Increasing the excitation frequency results in lower deflection. Results obtained maybe used as benchmark for validation of method using other approaches.

This paper proposes a condition-based maintenance policy for the two-phase Wiener degradation process components. The main contribution of this article is to provide the time distribution of degradation failures for the two-phase Wiener process degradationcomponent, as well as the modeling and solving methods for two-phase maintenance. The two-phase maintenance policy includes two-phase inspection and preventive replacement maintenance operations. The established optimization maintenance policy model aims to minimize long-term operation costs. The specific cost calculation equation and the solution method of the maintenance model are given. The feasibility of the maintenance policy model is verified using the two-phase degradation data of the Liquid Coupling Devices. The Particle swarm optimization algorithm can stably solve the described problem, and the results show that the two-phase maintenance policy can be more economical and improve components availability. After that, we also analyzed the impact of the cost parameters on the maintenance policy through sensitivity analysis.

Crossing borders: between literature and science – Italian culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries has offered significant examples of renewal through crossing boundaries between different disciplines. Several writers (Levi, Calvino, Gadda, Sinisgalli, Del Giudice, Giordano, Arpaia, Odifreddi) have overcome the dichotomy between the two cultures that was denounced by Charles Snow in 1959. Various mechanical systems are characterized with flexible joints. Exemplary this class of systems are the conveyers motors, the industrial robots and the cranes. The mechanical properties of those objects can be approximated by two-mass system. The paper presents the time-optimal input shaping methods for two-mass system. The control signal has to reach the set value of displacement in the shortest time, without of rising the mechanical oscillations. It was established, that the summary moment of inertia is constant, but division of mass is changing. For this case robustness for wide range of parameters deviations was analyzed. The model included PMSM motor with limited dynamics of current regulation. The research were conducted in Matlab/Simulink enviroment.
