Opis:: The aim of the paper is to identify and characterize radically different models of supply chains. On the one hand, it tends to indicate the economic basis of theoretical existence and development of these different models and, on the other hand – that reconstructs their basic attributes. According to authors the model of symbiotic supply chains are one example of sharing economy institutions. The presented model should be treated as ideal types (of the Weberian sense), which is extremes actual business practice. It can become the starting point for assessments of real supply chain and design directions of their improvement.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to designate catalogues of typological disruption as an inherent element of supply chain management in the light of uncertainty conditions. By means of deduction, the typological characteristics of the disruption and the catalogue of management decisions were determined. In this way, the scope of theoretical knowledge based on the theory of risk and supply chain management was expanded by leading the discourse towards the location of the so-called required uncertainty in the canon of obligatory components of management strategies. The article presents an overview discourse leading to the conclusion that contemporary supply chain management requires at least an attempt to forecast the effects of uncertainty conditions, including the risk of disruption.

Opis:: On the basis of a thorough analysis of the subject literature combined with empirical research, the article shows that contemporary Lean-based supply management is not only a matter of cutting costs or improving lead times. In business practice, the efficiency of Lean transformation against the whole supply chain, to a greater extent, depends on the quality of relationships with suppliers, which must, above all, be based on a mutually beneficial collaboration. In order to improve the flows between the manufacturer and his supplier, and to observe the principle of the Lean Concept, entities use a series of support tools and methods. In large companies, which are active on the global B2B market, it is an increasingly more common practice to develop the so-called Lean Matrix, which is a basis for Lean audit at the supplier’s. It is also a good practice to develop Lean supplier development programmes in order to support continuous and sustainable development, in accordance with the principles of the Lean Concept.

Opis:: The fundamental problem concerning development of supply chain strategies is not taking into consideration social and environmental dimensions. Companies and entire supply chains focus on financial issues. External pressures make an issue of Sustainable Supply Chain Management more and more important. Companies start to integrate their efforts to include sustainability in their supply chain strategies. The problem is lack of universal rules and widely accepted metrics of performance. The issue is also very important from a regional point of view because developing regional supply chains can be a threat for the environment and local societies.
Podstawowym problemem w zakresie rozwoju strategii łańcucha dostaw jest nieuwzględnianie wymiaru społecznego i środowiskowego. Firmy i całe łańcuchy dostaw skupiają się w większości przypadków na kwestiach finansowych. Jednak presja zewnętrzna w kwestii zrównoważonego zarządzania łańcuchami dostaw staje się coraz bardziej istotna. Firmy zaczynają integrować swoje wysiłki na rzecz włączenia zrównoważonego rozwoju w swoje strategie w łańcuchach dostaw. Problemem jest brak uniwersalnych reguł i powszechnie przyjętych wskaźników wydajności. Kwestia ta jest również bardzo ważna z regionalnego punktu widzenia, ponieważ rozwój regionalnych łańcuchów dostaw może stanowić zagrożenie dla środowiska i społeczności lokalnych.

Opis:: Due to the pressure of competition, high process efficiency has become a corporate ob¬jective for companies to maintain their global competitiveness. To ensure high process efficiency, it is important to constantly reduce process losses within various business activities. Different concepts to evaluate the efficiency of a company's key processes have therefore been discussed in academia. These concepts largely concentrate on the production area of one single company. Currently, howev¬er, not only individual companies but also entire supply chains are competing with each other. For this reason, it is necessary to thoroughly evaluate and increase the efficiency of production, transport, handling, and warehousing processes along the entire Supply Chain. We addressed this challenge with the conceptual design of a supply chain improvement system (SCIS). The results of empirical research focussing on the managerial purpose of the SCIS indicate that intercompany efficiency evaluation and improvement are prevalent issues in entrepreneurial practice.

Opis:: This article concerns the increasing complexity and variability of the business environment and the challenges faced by enterprises that operate within supply chains to properly identify and anticipate disruptions and adequately respond to them (i.e., the ability to resist and rebuild). This article aims to identify and evaluate the importance of the main factors that determine supply chains’ adaptability in the modern economy. A review of the literature on the subject, and the results of a survey conducted in the third quarter of 2022 among entities from the transport forwarding logistics (TFL) industry, diagnose the determinants of the adaptability of supply chains that operate when there are disruptions. They indicate the challenges faced by TFL companies that result from the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine and the directions of changes that result from them, both from the short-term and strategic perspectives. The relationships between the development of adaptability of supply chains and the increase in the competitiveness of entities enable us to verify the research hypothesis that, in the face of increasing disruptions and uncertainty in the business environment, strengthens the adaptability of supply chains producing a great potential in terms of maintaining the competitiveness of enterprises in the TFL industry. To gain and maintain a long-term competitive advantage, companies should strive to create a resilient supply chain that can withstand challenges and disruptions.

Opis:: The article presents certain aspects of decision of effective management of supply chains organized for companies. Companies service issues have been identified both in the supply and distribution area. Were defined factors affecting the organization of operating in various spheres of companies. It was pointed out that the basic functions directly related to the core business of companies resulting from the industry, the size and the conditions of competition, e.g. for the production facility, it could be manufacturing process itself, while for the commercial company implementation of marketing strategies and building brand image. The paper also presents the factors affecting the costs and benefits companies interested in outsourcing their logistics providers of comprehensive services. Inter alia the essence of the supply chain functioning, integrated management model of supply chain network including flow of stream of goods and flow of stream of information, objectives of supply chain management, decisions of effective supply chain management concerning on minimizing cost of logistics services and high level of quality of delivery services, performance evaluation measures of processes in the supply chain are presented in the paper.

Opis:: The article presents the status of quality in various management concepts (in outsourcing, supply chain management, TQM). It has been assumed that quality status defines the function and/or the significance of quality in the ORGANIZATION management concept. The carried out studies have demonstrated that the term of quality is most frequently defined in the TQM concept (even though also in this case there are definition disputes). In the remaining concepts of pro-quality management authors refer most often to definitions given by the TQM precursors. The authors describe the role of quality (various approaches) and the fundamental determinants of achieving quality in selected management concepts.

Opis:: In carrying out manufacturing processes, an important role is played by the supply chain. Proper functioning of the supply chain is affected by several factors, the parameters and manifestation of which may change under situations of crises. However, disruptions may not solely pose a threat to supply chains that should be avoided. In some cases, the presence of risk may have a positive side to it, namely being the motivating factor initiating innovation. This may result in improvement of the status quo, increase in productivity and creating ways of eliminating consequences of risk. On a concrete example, the paper shall describe how innovation, spurred by crisis brought about by the current pandemic situation, can be implemented to the supply chain in the automotive sector.

Opis:: The global economy requires global supply chain management which relies on visibility and responsiveness. Determinants such as: information technology tools, process knowledge, sales and operations planning experiences, etc., enable the formation of theory and practice for the supply chain control tower concept. The goal of the research paper is to identify business examples of different approaches to the supply chain control tower in the past and initiate a discussion on their future. This paper synthesizes past control tower practices and identifies possible future trends. The author performed: literature analysis, three selected companies’ case studies and comparative analyses. As the control towers evolve, while supply chains are transforming continuous, update from the market is needed. The research findings showed the selected companies, in the future, perceived control tower’s activities as a potential source of revenue not just solely a source of cost and time optimization as well as a source of value added to customer. The researched control towers were built and still they are developed. The business frequently changes and requires control towers to be adjusted, reengineered and adaptive. The researched control towers are needed to keep control over supply chain while it is transforming. There is a differentiation between the supply chain control towers, logistic services control towers and reverse supply chain control towers. An integration mechanism between the control towers would be necessary to assure entire supply chain visibility and orchestration. The research also shows the knowledge gap regarding the control towers in supply chain, specially their possible configurations and future.

Opis:: This case study research aims to compare the performance of the implementation of supply chain management (SCM) strategies within Asian and European Companies. The case study measures company’s opinions of supply chain strategy implementation through utilization of Sense and Response methodology. Critical Factor Index (CFI), Balanced Critical Factor Index (BCFI) and Scaled Critical Factor Index (SCFI) are used in this study to represent the result of comparison between European and Asian companies. From the analysis of comparison of all Sense and Response models, it can be concluded that there are differences and similarities of critical attributes that affecting supply chain strategy implementation in Asian and European companies. There are two attributes that have consistent trend for both regions; innovation and organization structure. In this research the analysis of supply chain strategy implementation was made for the needs of manufacturing industry. Suggestions for future research are multiple case studies in different industry areas in global business environment. The results provide a guideline to the company to measure the right attributes for making the right decision in a dynamic environment. It also provides good knowledge for companies to implement supply chain strategies, the main approaches to implement it and the main challenges in supply chain strategy implementation. Supply chain strategy implementation was analyzed in the European and Asian companies. This research shows that there are several developing areas for companies when implementing supply chain strategies.

Opis:: The purpose of the article is to present the integrated sustainable freight transport system dedicated for city clusters. The presented concept and calculation model is the result of a broader study on the effectiveness of production and transport systems in urban areas. The integrated sustainable freight transport system described in this paper serves multi-floor manufacturing clusters and therefore meets two efficiency requirements: technological integration and process sustainability. The integration of in-house transport system servicing multi-floor manufacturing building and supply chain deliveries to/from logistic node is based on efficient use of Intelligent Reconfigurable Trolleys (IRTs). The calculation model of integrated freight transport system allows for the quantitative matching of key elements of the transport system to the multi-floor manufacturing cluster needs. Properly selected and functionally integrated elements of proposed transport system allows to minimize losses and reduce the negative impact of transport on the environment.

In this context, a gap in the research has been observed in the new approach to designing the importance of AM in SCM. Opis:: Supply chain management (SCM) is a modern phenomenon in business practice and an important area of scientific discussions. In the literature it is not easy to find only one explanation of this subject because some scientists treat SCM as a separate concept, others as an expansion of the logistics function. The supply chain is a kind of modern business model that needs accurate management. To support the management process an the effective way, management accounting tools and methods may be applied. The aim of the article is to present the methods and tools of management accounting used for the measurement of costs and results in SCM. For this purpose, a survey was conducted among 40 selected enterprises in Poland. The findings indicate that on the one hand the studied organizations already use advanced management accounting tools and the methods providing information for SCM needs, on the other hand, they rarely apply them. This approach does not contribute to effective and holistic measurement of supply chain and its management.

Opis:: Industrial engineers always want to implement optimization techniques in all activities performed in an organization, which is only possible by synchronizing multiple activities of each department, and combining it in a way, which is optimized as per efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and profit are concerned. Organization plant managers and logistics providers have long been dissatisfied with extensive waiting times and severe on-site traffic congestion. This research paper highlights activities of logistics management in this organization which covers activities like determination of supply chain driver affecting logistics and supply chain management of an organization, analysis of current vehicles freights which particularly involves number of freights per day, checking how effectively collection plan needs are fulfilled by current vehicles running, implementation of new techniques to improve present working system, scheduled such that the total weighted tardiness is minimized, initiation of practices which organization has to do for withstanding sustainability in logistics management, estimation of cost saving from implementation of new techniques and checking feasibility of conducting these activities repetitively in long run.

Opis:: The article covers the study of the biggest and strongest world companies with the best supply chains. The reason is that nowadays unique supply chain can be competitive advantage for the enterprise. Strong supply chain can help to minimize costs, reach new customers, maximize profit, etc. In the article collaboration of the supply chain and its performance drivers (production, inventory, location, transportation and information) is performed; strengths and trends that can affect supply chains in the future are defined. Based on ranking results of Gartner, Inc. 2017 supply chain leaders in the world are highlighted. In 2017 such companies as Unilever, McDonald’s, Inditex had the best supply chains, and perennial supply chain leader Amazon has become “supply chain master”. According to the supply chains’ analysis (Amazon, Inditex (brand Zara) and Unilever) it was defined that each company builds its own supply chain, which is based on specific key elements. So, for example, for Amazon the most important elements of supply chain are warehousing, products’ distribution, own logistics, own production; Zara while constructing its supply chain focuses on such key elements: combination of manufacturer and retailer functions, fast response to trends, low inventory level, environmental responsibility, products’ distribution; Unilever bases its supply chain on such elements as sustainable power utilization, environmental responsibility, strategic partnerships all across the world, own logistics, blockchain development, supply chain transparency and products’ distribution.

Opis:: Lead times and their nature have received limited interest in literature despite their large impact on the performance and the management of supply chains. This paper presents a method and a case implementation of the same, to establish the behavior of real lead times in supply chains. The paper explores the behavior of lead times and illustrates how in one particular case they can and should be considered to be independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.). The conclusion is also that the stochastic nature of the lead times contributes more to lead time demand variance than demand variance.

Opis:: The integration of the disciplines of both the green operation and the complex supply chain (including purchasing, production and logistics) came into focus in the 1990s. In the literature review the focus of the researchers of this cross-sectional field was the automotive industry. It seems obvious that these closely-knit systems with high OEM dominance will offer more concrete results: it is difficult to resist when a given OEM starts to involve its first-, second- and third tier suppliers into its environmental schemes and processes. The Hungarian automotive sector can be characterized as somewhat one-sided: it consists of by few large international OEM’s (Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Suzuki, Raba), but by a large number of small-medium enterprises as 3rd (or even 4th!) tier suppliers. The aim of the paper was to find out whether companies acting as a member of more advanced chains show also better results in their “green” supply-chain-behavior. As a study description, in our empirical research, we have created a toolkit, and examined whether companies, which are using more sophisticated inter-organizational cooperation-tools, are more environmentally cautious, and if yes to what extent. As a result, discussion it can be stated that companies with a higher developed traditional Supply Chain have also a more developed green supply chain management system.
Integracja dyscyplin, zarówno działalności ekologicznej, jak i złożonego łańcucha dostaw (w tym zakupów, produkcji i logistyki) w centrum uwagi znalazła się w latach dziewięćdziesiątych ubiegłego wieku. W przeglądzie literatury przedmiotem zainteresowania badaczy był przemysł motoryzacyjny. Wydaje się oczywiste, że te ściśle powiązane systemy o wysokiej pozycji dominującej wśród producentów oryginalnego wyposażenia(OEM), oferują bardziej konkretne wyniki: trudno jest oprzeć się sytuacji, kiedy dany producent zaczyna angażować swoich dostawców pierwszego, drugiego i trzeciego szczebla w swoje systemy i procesy środowiskowe. Węgierski sektor motoryzacyjny można scharakteryzować jako nieco jednostronny: składa się on z kilku dużych międzynarodowych producentów OEM (Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Opel, Suzuki, Raba), a także dużej liczby małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw jako dostawców trzeciego (lub nawet czwartego) poziomu. Celem artykułu było ustalenie, czy firmy działające jako członkowie bardziej zaawansowanych sieci wykazują również lepsze wyniki w swoich "zielonych" zachowaniach związanych z łańcuchem dostaw. W badaniach empirycznych stworzono zestaw narzędzi i zbadano, czy firmy, które używają bardziej wyrafinowanych narzędzi współpracy międzyorganizacyjnej, są bardziej ostrożne ekologicznie, a jeśli tak, to w jakim stopniu. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań, można stwierdzić, że firmy o bardziej rozwiniętym tradycyjnym łańcuchu dostaw mają również bardziej rozwinięty system zarządzania zielonym łańcuchem dostaw.

Scharakteryzowano podejścia do pojmowania finansów łańcucha dostaw oraz wskazano, jak wykorzystanie różnych metod finansowych wpływa na wzmacnianie konkurencyjności łańcucha. Przedstawiono też problemy i dylematy wynikające z poszukiwania zgodności między celami przedsiębiorstw uczestniczących w łańcuchu dostaw a łańcuchem jako całością. Zastosowana metoda badawcza to identyfikacja, interpretacja i rozwinięcie dotychczasowego stanu wiedzy w przedmiotowym zakresie.
The study is devoted to the finance supply chain. Due to the controversial treatment of the financial stream in the supply chain as the object of interest of logistics managers, an attempt was made to identify and disclose the relationship between the finance supply chain and the competitiveness of this chain as a whole. The approaches to understanding the finance supply chain was characterized and the use of various financial methods influencing the competitiveness of the chain was indicated. Problems and dilemmas resulting from the search for compatibility between the objectives of enterprises participating in the supply chain and the chain as a whole were also pointed out. The applied research method is the identification, interpretation and development of the current state of knowledge in the subject area.

Opis:: The dynamic changes in the global economy has caused the rapid growth of transport needs. Proper functioning of maritime transport needs also a good developed system of seaports. In the following analysis, the relation between the main requirements of supply chain management (SCM) and contemporary practice of seaports management are investigated. The future of the new products will also depend on efficient and competitive processes, so it will be essential to design an information management and product flow throughout the supply chain, closely linking the processes of customer relationship Management, suppliers management, order fulfilment, flow manufacturing in a Lean environment and research, development and innovation to the merchandising of the new products. In the future, we need perfect plants for the production of new vehicles and will depend on the degree of efficiency and profitability across different supply chains, this is, the competence won't be between companies, but between supply chains, and if we design an efficient and competitive chain from the same initial development, then will have lasting, safer and greener new vehicles.

Opis:: This paper addresses supply chain transparency improvement in a triadic manufacturersupplier-supplier relationship. It investigates the problem of improving transparency using a set of interviews; then, a detailed problematization and a simulation model is formulated based on the results. The interview results show that there are two key issues to be considered: information systems issues related directly to transparency and capability issues related to utilizing transparency. The simulation results support developing capabilities by illustrating the effects of different options for coordinating material flow. The results of the study also indicate that while solutions to improve transparency can be relatively straightforward to implement, developing the capability to benefit from it can be more challenging, even in a well-established close partnership. In addition, suppliers may be hesitant to collaborate without active manufacturer involvement.

Opis:: Performance measurement system in supply chain management (SCM) has been receiving increasing attention by business organizations as a way to evaluate efficiency in supply chain activities. Assessing the performance of supply chain uncovers the gap between planning and actual performance as to trace the potential problems thus ascertain necessary areas for improvement. This research aims to investigate the application of performance measurement system in SCM as well as exploring its relationship with organization’s performance among Malaysian manufacturing firms. By utilizing the questionnaire method, respondents involved were requested to indicate the extent to which they use a number of 24 selected performance measures that are related to SCM. The results show that the majority of the observed manufacturing firms utilize specific performance measurement tools in evaluating the supply chain performance. The current performance measurement techniques, the Balanced Score Card is adopted by around a quarter of the total responding firms followed by Supply Chain Operations References Model – SCOR, which attracts total users of only a fifth of the total respondents. In particular, performance measures under customer service category recorded the highest number of usage followed by cost-based performance measures and operations management. The results of this investigation also unveil few major points that are important to be highlighted. Firstly, the obtained outcomes of this study bring to light the significant relationships between the utilization of supply chain performance measures under customer service, operations management and organizational performance. In addition, this study discovered a significant correlation between the size of the organization and the extent of use of supply chain performance measures and how these two variables positively correlated. Lastly, the findings also suggested that the performance measures for SCM has been playing a crucial role in enhancing the performance of the organizations and is increasingly operated as the firms grow in size. Based on the brief highlighted points listed above, it is not an exaggeration to say that this research contributes new information to the body of knowledge in performance measurement system in SCM and its associations with organizational performance.

Opis:: Supply Chain Management (SCM) is a very important part of the industrial world, especially in the manufacturing sector. The development of the business world affects the complexity of the supply chain due to the lack of logistics infrastructure, quality of materials and components, and much more. Supply chain disruption risk mapping needs to be done due to high uncertainty, which is overcome by implementing a decision support system. Based on the background of the problem, supply chain disruption mapping uses the help of the Six Sigma method, which consists of 5 stages: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC). The measurement of disturbance also uses the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) approach to prioritize risk. Risks that have a high assessment and cause failure need to be prioritized for improvement. This study aims to map supply chain disruptions in the current manufacturing industry based on the barriers, resistances, and causes detected for making a decision support system prototype. By implementing a decision support system in the supply chain process, it is hoped that the manufacturing industry can minimize potential losses from existing risks.

Kooperacja na skalę globalną, dezintegracja wertykalna oraz koncentracja na podstawowej działalności przedsiębiorstw spowodowały, iż zaczęto dostrzegać, że firmy funkcjonują w łańcuchach dostaw, które mają układ sieciowy. W ślad za tym powstało wyzwanie efektywnej koordynacji wszelkich przepływów w tych układach.
Supply chain management is of fundamental importance nowadays, contributes to gaining a competitive advantage and creating the value of companies participating in such chains. The worldwide literature emphasizes the necessity of the interdisciplinary perceiving of this term. The main aim of this article is to analyze the way of understanding the term "supply chain management" by the managers in Poland. The author's analysis is based on the empirical research conducted in 2011on the sample of 79 senior level managers responsible for logistics/supply chain management and representing the largest production and trade companies in Poland.

Opis:: From studies, reports, and information, we see that the Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) has a major impact on project success. The Supply Chain Management (SCM) plays an important role in achieving potential cross-company success because the SCMS allows us to control the development, design, management and identification of the most effective and efficient inputs, information and other resources required to complete the project. An effective SCMS is of essential importance for the strength of the competition and for the success of the entire organization. Therefore, the competitive advantage in this new environment no longer depends on the company's performance, but also on the entire supply chain partners, including competitors. The main objective of this research is to conduct the relationship between the supply chain management system, project success, project performance, to identify, and to determine the potential impact of SCM on project completion and success. In this study, a random sample was drawn from a population made up exclusively of construction companies, and project departments from other companies in Amman, the capital of Jordan. As a tool for data collection, we chose a questionnaire. Based on this, many statistical analyzes were carried out and the hypotheses of this study were tested. As a result of this test, we found out in general there is a clear and positive relationship between supply chain management and project completion. The dimensions of supply chain management (knowledge, skills, and tools) have different effects on the project closure process. The knowledge dimension has the strongest effect.

Opis:: Underestimating facility location decisions may penalize business performance over the time. These penalties have usually been studied from the economic point of view, analyzing its impact on profitability. Additionally, the concern about obtaining sustainability is gaining importance, leading to a search for renewable energy sources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. However, little attention has been paid to choosing a location considering environmental criteria. Thus, this work aims at determining a biorefinery location considering its impacts on natural resources. Therefore, a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model has been developed, taking into account crop location and biomass production seasonality to obtain a proper location that minimizes environmental impact.

Opis:: This article presents an integrated approach to optimize the different functions in a supply chain on strategic tactical and operational levels. The integrated supply chain model has been formulated as a cost minimization problem in the form of MILP (Mixed Integer Linear Programming). The costs of production, transport, distribution and environmental protection were adopted as optimization criteria. Timing, volume, capacity and mode of transport were also taken into account. The model was implemented in the LINGO package. The implementation model and the numerical tests are presented and discussed. The numerical experiments were carried out using sample data to show the possibilities of practical decision support and optimization of the supply chain.

Opis:: Adaptiveness is one of the most significant features of the supply chain that affects the results of its functioning. The capability of the supply chain to adapt to all, more and more demanding conditions is one of the main factors that guarantee long-term competitiveness and success. R. Kalakota, M. Robinson and P. Gundepudi consider inventory visibility, fulfilment velocity and coordination versatility as three fundamental pillars of adaptive supply chains, also termed as 3V in the literature. The chief objective of this paper is the identification of features that a supply chain should have in order to be called adaptive, as well as the verification of their compliance with the 3V principle. The review of the available literature sources that focus on the subject of the major features of adaptive supply chains (in particular having a decisive effect on their adaptive capabilities) has resulted in certain common elements. The authors of all the described approaches emphasise the two features: visibility and velocity. The third, frequently indicated, feature is also versatility or variety (that can be treated as one of the elements of the versatility of the supply chain). Visibility involves ensuring access to the information for all participants in the supply chain, also customers. Velocity, in turn, refers to the reaction time of the supply chain to all sorts of events and the time of implementing necessary changes. The third element is versatility. It primarily involves balancing the operational capability of a supply chain with market requirements, in particular delivering suitable products and services of the required quality and in the ordered volume. It is also vital to adjust the offer to the individual needs of customers.

Opis:: The aim of this study is to empirically examine the impact of supply chain dynamic capabilities on operational performance, and the mediating effect of technological innovation between dynamic capabilities and operational performance. This study is based on empirical data collected from a survey of 206 small- and medium-size firms in Korea. Structural equation modeling is used to test the research questions. The results show that supply chain dynamic capabilities positively influence technological innovation and operational performance of an enterprise. Additionally, structural equation analyses reveal that technological innovation plays a role as a partial mediator of the relationship between supply chain dynamic capabilities and operational performance. In a dynamic and ever-changing environment, the enforcement of dynamic capabilities in a sustainable supply chain is important for the innovation of technology and the improvement of operational performance. Further investigation is required to understand the differences by industries, characteristics of enterprises, and positions in a supply chain.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono krytyczną analizę przyczyn problemów wynikających ze stosowania zintegrowanych komputerowo systemów klasy ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) w zarządzaniu łańcuchami dostaw. Na tej podstawie zaproponowano możliwości wyeliminowania występujących problemów dzięki zastosowaniu metod szczupłej logistyki. Uwagę skoncentrowano na metodach stabilizowania warunków działania oraz eliminowania i upraszczania transakcji, zwłaszcza przez wprowadzanie kart kanban do sygnalizowania potrzeb kolejnych ogniw w łańcuchu dostaw.
The article presents a critical analysis of the causes of the problems arising from the use of computer-integrated ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems in supply chain management. On this basis it shows the possibility of eliminating the existing problems through the use of lean logistics methods. Attention is paid on methods of stabilising the operating conditions and eliminating and simplifying transactions, in particular through the introduction of kanban cards to signal the need of subsequent links in the supply chain.

Opis:: With continuous and rapid change in both technology and businesses due to climate change and governments regulations, Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is receiving increasing attentions during last two decades. GSCM refers to the abilities of businesses to enhance operations and sustain environment at the same time and efficiently. In this paper, a comprehensive review of GSCM development and applications is conducted. This review aims to explore the recent developments of GSCM and necessity of adoption GSCM applications in businesses to insure sustainable development. First, a descriptive analysis of 796 paper adopted from Scopus database was conducted to review research on GSCM. Next, a bibliometric analysis of 235 paper was conducted to determine the recent trends and areas of GSCM and related keywords by using VOSviewer software. Then, a content analysis was carried out of 53 review papers by adopting WordStat software to analyze the impact of GSCM on related subjects and trends of GSCM. Finally, a summary analysis of GSCM advantages and challenges was conducted based on fundamental GSCM’s objectives. Results reveal that researches on GSCM are in upward curve with limitations in implementing GSCM applications due to high cost, and lack of sufficient experiences. Results also reveal positive moderate correlation of GSCM with environment, performance, sustainability and management practices indicating the limited implementation of GSCM applications. To further explore these limitations, this study summarized the recent challenges and future potential directions of GSCM in both businesses and environments.

Opis:: Purpose: In supply chains, creating a secure space for data production, sending, storing, and analysis has always been a critical issue. The main goal of this research was to evaluate the importance of various security criteria in an intelligent supply chain system. Methodology: The main data collection method was the expert survey. Experts validated the security criteria and sub-criteria. Then, the importance of these criteria was evaluated using the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process method. Findings: The results revealed that reliability and privacy with their sub-criteria were the most important ones among the obtained security criteria for IoT-based supply chain management. Practical implications: The research results can provide valuable insight for supply chains’ decision-makers. The findings can also be a good reference point for researchers who work on the IoT-based supply chain concept in other countries and sectors. Research limitations: Limitations of this study are the purposive sampling method and the limited scope of studied companies and sectors. Therefore, the article provides initial insight on the matter. Originality: The study presents the research problem from a new perspective and gives possible solutions for IoT-based supply chain management.

Opis:: The article presents the theoretical basis of the EOQ (economic quantity order) model, which allows you to optimize the size of the order so as to minimize the cost of frozen capital. The next part presents the results of implementing the model at Bahlsen Polska, assuming that it does not receive any discounts from suppliers in relation to the size of the order. This assumption can be excluded in the case of the functioning of the disposition system, carried out taking into account large contracts with the supplier. Optimization in this situation does not apply to the quantity in the contract, but only to a single call which is information for the supplier who must deliver a certain amount of goods, and at the same time reduce the balance appearing in the contract.

Convinced of new opportunities offered by the global economy, Morocco has opted for a new industrial strategy based on Supply chain management practices aimed at improving the performance and making the country an attractive space for global value chains. The main aims of this paper are to evaluate the literature on the different definitions, approaches, trends and practices of the supply chain man-agement, and presents results of a semi-directive qualitative study conducted in Morocco in order to obtain a deeper understanding of the supply chain management practices implemented in the Moroccan context. The results indicate that the practices of companies based in Morocco are highly linked to the management of the supplier and customer relationship and internal integration among the internal functions of the firms.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest podjęcie próby zaprezentowania zagadnienia zarządzania ryzykiem w łańcuchu dostaw, jego istoty i klasyfikacji, oraz ukazanie związku, jaki występuje pomiędzy zarządzaniem łańcuchem dostaw a zarządzaniem ryzykiem. Ponadto zaprezentowano kryteria ryzyka w łańcuchu dostaw wraz z przykładami ryzyka, jakie mogą wystąpić pomiędzy jego uczestnikami. Identyfikacja poziomu ryzyka pozwala na określenie obszarów, które organizacje powinny poddać szczegółowej analizie. The aim of this article is trying to draw the issues of risk management in the supply chain, its essence, classification and relationship between supply chain management and risk management. In addition, article applies risk criteria in the supply chain, with examples of risks that may occur between the participants. Identification of the risk level allows to define areas which should be carefully analyzed by organizations. The risk management process brings measurable benefits, but it is only possible when the factors affecting on the supply chain had been identified before.
