Opis:
The main objective of the paper was to attempt an analysis of links between institutions and individual agricultural holdings. Based on theoretical considerations and nation-wide questionnaire surveys, an aggregated index of the institutionalisation level of an agricultural holding was developed. It allowed for the delimitation of farms against the intensity and structure of links between agricultural farms and institutions. Then, in the identified classes of individual agricultural holdings characterised by varying intensity and structure of institutional links with the surrounding institutions, basic characteristics regarding the area of farms, its economic strength and production type were discussed.

Przedstawiono zmiany struktury obszarowej gospodarstw rolnych prowadzących działalność rolniczą w układzie terytorialnym w latach 2005-2007. Po wejściu Polski do Unii Europejskiej zmiany struktury obszarowej gospodarstw zachodzą nadal bardzo powoli, co ma wpływ na ich wielkość ekonomiczną i zdolność do konkurencji na jednolitym rynku europejskim. Za konkurencyjne na rynku rolnym UE można uznać jedynie 6,3% gospodarstw o wielkości ekonomicznej 16 i więcej ESU. Największy udział gospodarstw konkurencyjnych występuje w woj. kujawsko-pomorskim, wielkopolskim i warmińsko-mazurskim, a najmniejszy w woj. podkarpackim, małopolskim i świętokrzyskim.
This paper identifies and examines the changes in rural farms’ area structure which operate in territorial structure within 2005-2007. After the European Union accession the changes in farms area structure are still very slow what influences their economic situation and competitiveness. As far as competitive capacity concerned, only 6,3% of farms with economic size accounting 16 and more ESU one can recognize as competitive. The greatest contribution of competitive farms can be noticed in the following Polish provinces: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Wielkopolskie Warmińsko-Mazurskie but the least contribution in Podkarpackie, Małopolska and Świętokrzyskie province.

In this paper an attempt was made to analyse the changes in the agricultural holdings of legal persons in the period 1996-2010, taking into account the pre- and post-accession period. In the analysed period, the agricultural holdings of legal persons, after the rapid and profound changes in the ownership, as well as and the legal and organizational structure in the first half of the 90s, were still subject to a profound restructuring. The effects of this process, however, were significantly different in the pre- and post-accession period. The article presents the basic structural changes in the whole farming sector of legal persons, including the various legal and organizational forms. The analysis concerned the changes: in the number of agricultural holdings and agricultural land in their use (including holdings with agricultural activities, in the area structure, in the spatial distribution of holdings by provinces, in the orientation of agricultural production, in the economic size and the labour input. The analysis was based on data from PSR 1996, 2002 and 2010, as well as the literature.

Celem artykułu jest ocena zmian struktury ekonomicznej rolnictwa w wybranych krajach Unii Europejskiej o podobnej strukturze asortymentowej produkcji rolnej w warunkach integracji z UE. Wyboru krajów dokonano na podstawie analizy skupień. Ponadto do wyznaczenia stopnia zróżnicowania struktury ekonomicznej i oceny jej zmian w czasie wykorzystano metody statystycznej analizy strukturalnej. Badanie przeprowadzono dla okresu 2005-2013 na podstawie danych EUROSTAT. Przeprowadzone badania wskazują na znaczne zróżnicowanie poziomu rozwoju struktury ekonomicznej między krajami oraz na pozytywny kierunek zmian. Wzrasta bowiem udział gospodarstw silnych ekonomicznie, zdolnych do rozwoju, przy czym przekształcenia zachodzą intensywniej w krajach, w których struktura ekonomiczna jest mniej korzystna.
The aim of the article was to evaluate changes in economic structure of farms in selected EU countries with similar structure of production in terms of integration. Selection of the countries was based on cluster analysis. To indicate the level of differentiation of economic structure of farms and to evaluate the changes in this structure the structural analysis methods were used. The research was conducted within the years 2005-2013. EUROSTAT data were used. The research results indicates a significant differences in the level of development of the economic structure of farms between the countries and a positive direction of the changes. The share of economically strong, capable to develop farms is rising and the changes in the economic structure of farms occur more rapidly in the countries, where the structure is less favorable.

This paper discusses the efficiency of using production factor resources in 115 individual farms oriented towards production of live pigs, milk and market lambs and located in south-eastern Poland. The potential and structure of production factors was analysed in farms with different production profiles. The economic efficiency of the production resources used during the production process was calculated.

W artykule zaprezentowano metodę pomiaru struktury zjawisk ekonomicznych oraz zmian strukturalnych w przypadku, gdy obok dodatnich składników wektora struktury występują również składniki ujemne. Problem interpretacyjny w przypadku wystąpienia ujemnych składników pojawia się często podczas analizy sprawozdań finansowych, gdyż pozycje bilansowe, rachunku zysków i strat oraz rachunku przepływów pieniężnych mogą być zarówno dodatnie, jak i ujemne. Istotą przedstawionej metody jest wyodrębnienie strumienia „korzyści” oraz strumienia „niekorzyści”, a następnie określenie struktury międzygrupowej oraz wewnątrzgrupowej. Metodę wykorzystano do analizy struktury wyniku finansowego Zakładów Odzieżowych. „Bytom” S.A. w latach 2004-2008.
The paper presents a method for measuring the structure of economic phenomena and structural changes when the next positive components of the vector components of the structure are also negative. Problem of interpretation in the event of negative components, appears frequently in the analysis of financial statements, as balance sheet items, items of profit and loss account and cash flow may be either positive or negative. The essence of the presented method is to separate stream "benefits" and stream "disadvantages" and then determine the structure of inter- and intragroup. The method used to analyze the structure of the financial result Betting Clothes "Bytom" S.A. in 2004-2008.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie sytuacji gospodarstw niskotowarowych w Polsce w świetle realizacji jednego z działań wspierających ich rozwój w ramach PROW 2004-2006. Wskazano na rangę problemu i uzasadniono słuszność dofinansowania tychże gospodarstw, przedstawiono dane statystyczne dotyczące absorpcji środków unijnych w badanym okresie oraz omówiono możliwe rezultaty programu w ramach studium przypadku. Podkreślono dylematy i możliwości związane z przyszłością gospodarstw niskotowarowych.
The main aim of this paper is to show situation of semi-subsistence farms under conditions of realization one of operations which supports their development within Rural Development Plan 2004-2006 in Poland. It indicate the problem of funding of such farms. It present statistic data from researched period concerning absorption of EU support and it discuss possible results of programs. It also underline dilemmas and capabilities related with future of semi-subsistence farms.

Opis:
The State Forests provide financial support, mainly from funds obtained in the sale of raw timber, for activities undertaken to increase the potential of the social and ecological forest functions. The study aimed to categorize and analyse costs incurred by forest districts in the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Kraków (RDSF Kraków) in the years of 2005−2009 on the development of selected non−productive forest functions, particularly nature− and forest−related education, recreation forest management and nature protection. The effect of costs falling within the above mentioned categories on the financial situation of the forest districts was also assessed. Empirical data were obtained from financial statements, reports of the Information System of the State Forests, as well as interviews and a questionnaire survey answered by the Forest Service. Direct additional costs were acquired from the accounting records. Indirect and alternative costs were deduced i.a. from results of the questionnaire survey and calculations of the raw timber volume left in forests. In the studied period, the incurred costs and potentially lost profits associated with the development of non−productive forest functions systematically increased in forest districts and attained over 18.8 mln PLN. In the costs structure, the lowest share was observed for direct additional costs (tab. 1). Indirect costs, which were recorded, however not assigned to specific account items, covered 31%. The greatest share of expenses was noted for alternative costs. In the considered period, most forest districts of RDSF Kraków showed a negative financial result (tab. 2). The adverse financial situation in the forest districts was worsened by additional and alternative costs of development of non−productive forest functions. Important financial consequences for forest economy resulted mainly from implementation of nature protection tasks (additional and alternative costs of nature protection accounted for 79% of expenses incurred on fulfilling non−productive forest functions). Additional costs of the development of non−productive forest functions covered 1.6% of total expenses. Value of unharvested timber amounted to 1.9% of income from sale of raw timber. There is a need to emphasize activities undertaken by the State Forests within the development of non−productive forest functions as well as to adjust the cost accounting system in order to facilitate calculations of indirect costs and potentially lost profits.

The purpose of this paper is to attempt to estimate the impact of corporate bond issue on the economic added value of an enterprise (EVA). The research data were obtained from the financial statements of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, issuing corporate bonds and their reports published on Catalyst. The analyzes were conducted for 67 companies, all of which issued corporate bonds on the Catalyst in 2015. The study used factor analysis and analysis of stepwise backward polynomial regression. During the study it was confirmed that the corporate financing of corporate bonds should be differentiated according to their purpose, ie. to finance long-term and short-term assets. The issue of corporate bonds affects the economic added value of an enterprise, with certain restrictions on the level of corporate indebtedness. The positive impact of corporate bonds on the creation of added value of the company was shown up to 25% of corporate debt in the corporate financial structure.

Z uwagi na największą różnorodność biologiczną Polski w Europie oraz ze względu na fakt udziału 32,5% obszarów chronionych polskim prawem ochrony przyrody w powierzchni kraju – jest istotna analiza gospodarowania na tych obszarach. Działanie na tychże obszarach jest objęte wieloma ograniczeniami. Właściciele gospodarstw rolnych, które znajdują się na tych terenach, poza produkowaniem żywności spełniają również bardzo ważną rolę – strażników przyrody w szeroko pojętym znaczeniu. Dlatego też w niniejszym opracowaniu dokonano analizy gospodarstw położonych na obszarach chronionych polskim prawem ochrony przyrody w odniesieniu do gospodarstw poza nimi. Źródło danych stanowi zbiorowość indywidualnych gospodarstw rolnych, prowadzących rachunkowość rolną dla Polskiego FADN. Prezentowane wyniki są zaskakujące, lecz stanowią wstępne dane.
Due to the higher environmental biodiversity of Poland in comparison to Europe and due of fact that 32.5% share of all areas are protected by Polish nature protec-tion law – it is very important to make an analyis about managing on these areas. There are a lot of restrictions in the Polish nature protection law. Farm owners are obliged to manage their farms due to Polish nature protection law. Farmers operating on that areas ought to play double role on agrarian market. They are producers of Polish food with high quality first and they are managers of Polish landscape and biodiversity – second. Because of that there is a very important thing to find out how they manage the environmental in protected areas. Data source for this issue was Polish FADN. There are very interesting results from this issue but they are only the first data because they are from one year.

Purpose: The purpose of the article is to present systemic determinants of structural changes in the economy Design/methodology/approach: The article uses critical literature analysis. The theory of structural changes and system theory was reviewed to reveal the impact of the economic system on changes in the economic structure. Findings: Owing to the conducted analysis, the relationship between the system and the economic structure was presented. On the one hand, shaping the structure turned out to be strategically important for the entire system. On the other, the structure may depend on broadly understood conditions resulting from the properties of the system itself or its environment. Hence, for the same purposes, the systems may differ in their structure, which will be chosen to apply to the existing determinant. It can therefore be assumed that the system is an important determinant for structural adjustments in the economy. Originality/value: The literature on the subject, as the main factors of changes in economic structures, primarily reveals: the introduction and diffusion of new technologies and the increase in global trade. The nature of their influence has been extensively described by economists. However, systemic determinants of structural transformations are still hardly documented.

Przedsiębiorstwa są jednym z głównych podmiotów gospodarki krajowej. W Polsce przeważają przedsiębiorstwa zatrudniające nie więcej niż dziesięć osób (96%), w których pracuje 39%, a których przychody satnowią 22% ogółu. Celem artykułu jest analiza struktury wielkości przedsiębiorstw w Polsce mierzonej udziałem poszczególnych grup w ilości przedsiębiorstw, w zatrudnieniu i w przychodach ogółem. Wykorzystano dane ze strony internetowej GUS. Badania przeprowadzono wykorzystując metodę Chomątowskiego i Sokołowskiego. Zróżnicowanie międzywojewódzkie struktury wielkościowej przedsiębiorstw jest umiarkowane.
Enterprises are one of the main elements in economy. Magnitude of the enterprise makes influence into benefit to neighbourhood. In the amount structure smallest enterprises prevail. W artykule przedstawiono analizę struktury nakładów i uzyskiwanych wyników produkcyjnych i finansowych w grupach gospodarstw według wielkości ekonomicznej w próbie gospodarstw rolnych FADN z lat 2004-2008. Celem badań jest ocena efektywności gospodarowania przez gospodarstwa towarowe w zależności od ich wielkości ekonomicznej.
The article presents an analysis of the structure of inputs, production and financial results in the economic size groups in a sample of farms from FADN 2004-2008. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the commercial farms management, depending on their economic size.

Opis:
Badano znaczenie struktury finansowania przedsiębiorstw w kształtowaniu wyników ekonomiczno-finansowych. Obiektem badań były 34 wielkoobszarowe przedsiębiorstwa rolnicze z najemną siłą roboczą z terenu województwa kujawsko-pomorskiego. Zakres badań obejmował lata 2002-2007. Ustalono, że wysoki poziom zadłużenia w sposób ujemny wpływa na rentowność i płynność, ale sprzyja bardziej efektywnemu wykorzystaniu kapitałów własnych.
Capital structure has been taken into consideration. Especially its influence on economic and in the paper the financial results have been examined. The analysis were conducted for 34 large-area agricultural enterprises with employees of kujawsko-pomorskie province for the years 2002-2007. The result shows that high level of financial indebtedness reduce profitability and liquidity, but is conducive to higher effectiveness of ownership capital.
