Duchowość ta obejmuje m.in. pojęcia wizji, wszechinkluzywnych relacji oraz przestrzeni. Te rzeczywistości są związane z indiańskim światem duchowym. W unikalny sposób symbolizuje je obrzęd medicine wheel.
    Structured around the Ojibwe concept Bimaadiziwin (fullness of life), this study demonstrates how Native American Spirituality contributes to a deeper approach of the mystery of life by its focus on vision, all-inclusive relationships and space. All this is intimately related to the “Spirit world” and symbolized in a unique way  by the Medicine Wheel ritual.

    The article deals with the worldview and aesthetic principles behind the creative work of Emma Andijewska, which were discussed during a telephone conversation with the author of this article. We analysed the specifics of her creative laboratory, reflections on the place, role of the writer in modern life, and peculiarities of artistic writing. The author’s individuality appears on the background of the historical era in various forms of inter-textual and intra-textual relations. The key concept of analytical discourse is autometatextuality. The unifying principle of building an image of personality and an image of reality is an aesthetic element where a fiction text and a document form a natural unity. The narrative on creative practices reveals a personal history of one of the most prominent figures of modern times, a “woman of the era” (as she is often called), writer and painter Emma Andijewska. She was born on March 19, 1931 in Stalino (now Donetsk). Due to her serious illness, the family moved to Vyshhorod (1937), and later to Kyiv (1939), where they faced the beginning of the war. In 1943, the NKVDists (People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs of the USSR) killed her father, a famous chemistinventor, so that the Germans could not use his inventions. Fearing reprisals against the entire family, her mother took her young children and went across the military front, under the cannonade, to the West. At the age of twelve, Emma Andijewska came to Germany, where she attended a German boys’ school. In 1957, she graduated from the Ukrainian Free University with degrees in Philosophy and Philology while defending a master’s thesis on The Causes of Fundamental Issues in the Newest Ukrainian Metric in front of Volodymyr Derzhavin. The same year, with her family, she moved to New York, where in 1959 she married a literary critic, essayist, and writer, Ivan Koshelivets, with whom she lived until his death. After the marriage, the couple returned to Munich, Germany, where Andijewska still lives. For a long time (since 1959 to 1995), she worked at Radio Liberty as an announcer, screenwriter, producer, and editor of the Ukrainian department. Despite the forced isolation from her native land and impossibility to visit Ukraine for a long time, throughout her life Emma Andijewska has preserved a devoted, fervent love for the language, culture, and history of her native people and put all her strength and energy into the self-sacrificing and faithful service to them. Thanks to her art, Ukraine is known and respected all over the world, and her paintings are stored in the leading museums across all continents. She is open to the world and the world is open to her. The literature works of the great Ukrainian have been translated into many languages and even their general list is impressive. More than forty poetry books, three novels (the fourth is being written), several books of short stories and tales, more than seventeen thousand paintings – they are all created by Emma Andijewska. The polyphonic art of the artist and writer impresses with unique energy and the discipline of mind, where every word is worth its weight in gold. Its magic relies on a deep intellectual sense arising from powerful spiritual potential.

    This article addresses the issue of the motivation of the fundamental order of love for God and the neighbour which Saint Basil the Great used in his doctrine.Based on an analysis of the texts of Saint Basil, this article demonstrates the intimate relationship that should exist between the love for God and the love for man. The ideal of this relationship is represented, according to the analysis, by Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of the world.

    Artykuł prezentuje nowy dokument wypracowany w Komisji „Wiara i Ustrój” Światowej Rady Kościołów The Church: Towards a Common Vision, który w języku polskim opublikowano pt. Ku wspólnej wizji Kościoła. Dokument ma wysoką rangę ekumenicznego uzgodnienia. W punkcie pierwszym wspomniane zostają omawia opracowania poprzedzające dokument, punkt drugi wprowadza w jego strukturę, natomiast w punkcie trzecim analizie poddano wybrane istotne treści uzgodnienia. Skoncentrowano się na trynitarnym charakterze Kościoła i jego jedności, jedności Kościoła jako daru Trójjedynego Boga i zadaniu dla chrześcijan, Kościele jako sakramencie zbawienia, trosce Kościoła o los stworzenia, społeczno-politycznych aspektach zaangażowania Kościoła w świecie, szeroko rozumianym stosunku Kościoła do świata, zagadnieniu ciągłości i zmiany w Kościele oraz na procesie pojednania posługiwań. Ostatnia część zawiera próbę krótkiej oceny.
    The article presents the new document of the Commission “Faith and Order” of the World Council of Churches, which was released under the title The Church: Towards a Common Vision. The document is declared to be an ecumenical agreement of high importance. In the first chapter works have been displayed which preceded the document, the second point highlights its structure and the last one scrutinizes its important contents. Author focuses on the trinity nature of Church and its unity, on the unity of Christians which has been considered both as a gift of the Triune God and a task for Christians, on the teaching on Church as the sacrament of salvation, on the Church’s concern for creation, on the social and political aspects of Church’s involvement in the world, on the broad Church’s relation toward the world, on the issue on continuity and change of the Church and finally, on the process of ministry reconciliation. A short assessment of the document is provided as a conclusion.

    In the present article the author with the use of rhetorical method analyzes the coherence of Paul’s argumentation on new life in Rom 5 – 8. First, the topic of new life is examined in the global context of the dispositio rhetorica in Rom 5 - 8. The three dangers to the gift of new life distinguished by the author are: 1) the slavery of sin (Rom 6), 2) the defective human self-righteousness (Rom 7,7-25), and 3) the suffering and corruption of the present world (Rom 8,19-23). At the end, the role of the Spirit in Rom 5 – 8 is explained. He is the one that liberates mankind from the triple slavery and leads to the fullness of new life, which is to be revealed in the Kingdom of God.  The rhetorical reading shows the coherent strategy of Paul who describes the gift of new life in a germinal state, which calls for man’s reliance on the Spirit and the Spirit empowered deeds.

    Biorąc pod uwagę posoborowe podejście do sakramentologii, oparte na idei Kościoła Chrystusowego jako żywej historii zbawienia, treść artykułu odnosi się do eklezjalnych aspektów programu duszpasterskiego Kościoła w Polsce. Dlatego sakrament bierzmowania jest ujęty w perspektywie eklezjologicznej, bez zbytniego zgłębiania problematyki katechetycznej czy liturgicznej. Najpierw zwraca uwagę na sakrament dojrzałości chrześcijańskiej w aspekcie trwałości Kościoła jako ludu Bożego. W kolejnym paragrafie koncentruje się na uczestnictwie tych, którzy przyjęli sakrament bierzmowania w apostolskich zadaniach ludu Bożego, akcentując zwłaszcza przyjęcie przez nich pełnej odpowiedzialności za losy Kościoła. Zwieńczeniem artykułu jest zobrazowanie ewangelizacji współczesnego świata przez ubogacenie świata nowym obliczem świętości na miarę królestwa Bożego, które przez Chrystusa w mocy Ducha Świętego nieustannie wzrasta wśród ludzi, aż do ostatecznego spełnienia w Bogu, który będzie „wszystkim we wszystkich” (por. 1 Kor 15,24.28).
    Theological and ecclesial aspects of confirmation Summary Considering the post-conciliar approach to sacramentology based on the idea of the Church of Christ as a living history of salvation, the article presents the sacrament of confirmation in its ecclesiological aspect. First, it draws attention to the sacrament of Christian maturity in the aspect of the Church’s stability as the people of God. In the next paragraph it focuses on the participation of those who have accepted the sacrament of confirmation in the apostolic tasks of God’s people, emphasizing in particular their taking full responsibility for the fate of the Church. The climax of the article is the depiction of the modern world’s evangelization by enriching the world with a new ideal of holiness according to the Kingdom of God, which through Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit is constantly increasing among people until the final fulfillment in God who will be „all in all” (see 1 Cor 15:24.28).

    Opis:
    Celem artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na rolę Ducha Świętego w posłannictwie Kościoła w świecie. Duch Święty nie tylko wskazuje konkretne kierunki i środki tego posłannictwa, ale jest nade wszystko źródłem tego posłannictwa, a więc także źródłem jego owocności (1). Duch Święty jako ożywcza moc i światło napotyka jednak w tym świecie na opór i sprzeciw, w pierwszej kolejności w wymiarze wewnętrznym i podmiotowym poprzez grzech, a następnie w zobiektywizowanym kształcie kultury i cywilizacji, co we współczesnej teologii znalazło wyraz w koncepcji „grzechu społecznego” i „struktur grzechu” (2). Jeśli Kościół chce rozpoznać i urzeczywistnić swoją posługę wobec świata wedle mandatu otrzymanego od Chrystusa, musi ciągle otwierać się na Ducha Świętego, który „przekonuje świat o grzechu, sprawiedliwości i sądzie” (J 16, 8). Dziś to zadanie przekonywania świata o grzechu podejmuje Kościół przede wszystkim na płaszczyźnie doktrynalnej. W odniesieniu do sfery społecznej rolę tę pełni nauka społeczna Kościoła poprzez swój profetyczno-krytyczny wymiar (3).
    The paper is aimed at highlighting the role of the Holy Spirit in the mission of the Church in the world. (1) Besides indicating the specific directions and means of this mission, the Holy Spirit is, first and foremost, its source and consequently the source of its fruitfulness. (2) In this world, however, the Holy Spirit, as the invigorating power and light, encounters resistance and opposition, first in the internal and subjective dimension through sin, and then in the objectified shape of culture and civilization, which in modern theology found its expression in the concept of “social sin” and “structures of sin”. (3) If the Church wants to recognize and realize its ministry to the world according to the mandate received from Christ, it must be constantly open to the Holy Spirit, who “convinces the world of sin, justice and judgment” (Jn 16: 8). Today, the task of convincing the world of sin is undertaken by the Church primarily on the doctrinal level. In relation to the social sphere, this role is played by the Church’s social teaching through its prophetic and critical dimension.
