The L5 chondrites Baszkówka and Mt. Tazerzait are characterised. Their astronomical, mineralogical and petrological characteristics confirm that these meteorites are similar. They could be derived from the same parent body, though from the different depths below its surface. A third meteorite - the Tjerebon - might have arisen from the same swarm of meteoroids. The parent body to these meteorites in the asteroid belt can not be established at present. The porosity, of these chondrites suggests that they formed close to the surface of their parent asteroid. The process of formation of the parent rock of the Baszkówka chondrite is similar in some respects to sedimentation of a weakly compacted terrestrial sandstone. Thus, a two-stage geological history may be envisaged: firstly formation of the component minerals and mineral aggregates of this meteorite. Then, later in a different environment, the accretion of fragments of this parent material, together with a small amount of matrix, into a strongly porous sedimentary rock.

Opis:
Water shortage is rising to become a global challenge due to the variations in climate change and population increment. Converting the seawater to potable water using the desalination technology is among the existing options highlighted by researchers. However, these processes are expensive and require much energy to operate. The solar desalination technology was reported as highly adequate since it utilizes the natural sunlight and the simple concepts of evaporation and condensation to produce the drinking water. The main challenge to date is the low productivity of the technology, which must be adequately improved in order to enhance productivity and optimize performance. In this study, the productivity and efficiency of conventional double slope solar still were assessed using a solar system. Two solar still models (active and passive) were fabricated with the same evaporation and condensation areas. The troughs were made of stainless steel with dimensions of 50×32 ×5 cm. In turn, while the cover was made of glass with dimensions of 48×60×0.3 cm and the inclination angle was 60°. In addition, the solar system consisted of two solar panels with 50 W capacity each, one battery of 100 Ah – 12 V, a charging controller of 30 A, and a single immersed DC water heater of 50 W – 12 V capacity. Both models were tested simultaneously for two sunny days, 24 hours each. The results showed that the water productivity of the active solar still was 55% higher than that of the passive solar still. On 15th July, the total amounts of solar still productivity were 7.85 L/m2/d and 19.3 L/m2/d for active and passive stills, respectively. This is due to the existence of the heating element in the active still which allowed it to produce water for 24 hours continuously. Moreover, the trough temperature was found to be the highest for both models, because it was made from steel. Finally, the produced water in both cases was found to be directly proportional to such parameters as solar radiation intensity and ambient temperature.

A smart cooling system to control the ambient temperature of a premise in Amman, Jordan, is investigated and implemented. The premise holds 650 people and has 14 air conditioners with the cooling capacity ranging from 3 to 5 ton refrigerant (TR) each. The control of the cooling system includes implementing different electronics circuits that are used to sense the ambient temperature and humidity, count the number of people in the premise and then turn ON/OFF certain air conditioner(s). The data collected by different electronic circuits are fed wirelessly to a microcontroller, which decides which air conditioner will be turned ON/OFF, its location and its desired set cooling temperature. The cooling system is integrated with an on-grid solar photovoltaic energy system to minimize the operational cost of the overall cooling system.

The electrical energy consumption in Iraq has increased sharply in the past few years. Modern energy efficient technologies are desperately needed for the national energy policy. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the various cooling systems, using the readily available solar energy to cool down the buildings in Iraq during hot weather days. This paper presents the best solar cooling system which can be installed in Iraq for solar cooling. It also focuses on the type of thermally driven system which can be used for solar cooling. It is fact that many buildings in Iraq are designed far away from being energy efficient, hence this paper focuses on the standards which can be developed and can be used in the future on residential buildings from the energy point of view, with a suggestion to establish such solar cooling projects in Iraq. Systems have been used successfully in northern Europe and a number of studies have demonstrated that solar energy can be used to drive the system in this region. However, to date, desiccant cooling has not been used in Iraq. This paper presents the results of a study, in which a solar desiccant cooling model will use to evaluate the potential for using solar power to drive a desiccant cooling system in Iraq. The study demonstrates that solar desiccant cooling is feasible in Iraq, provided that the latent heat gains experienced are not excessive. However, if the relative humidity experienced are too high then desiccant cooling becomes impracticable simply because the regeneration temperatures required are excessive.

Cosmos can be viewed from the perspective of the most advanced program, cyber and information systems and laws. Digital language Cosmos has a myriad of constants and variables, matrices, functions, vectors and determinants, which are coded information about the creation and functioning of our physical world in which we live. These are: Planetary orbits, Orbital Motion, Orbital planes, Orbital period Specifying orbits, Orbital perturbations, astrodynamics, Earth orbits, etc. The heavenly bodies move along a particular path. They have their own Perihelion and Aphelion. They have to move much on that path because the cosmic laws of the digital language does not allow them to move along another path. There is no dilemma and can not be. Evidence that follow testify and confirm that there is indeed a universal language for an exact description of which can be used systems theory and cybernetics.

This article is appeared a problem of meteorites classification and tried to connect interpretation and explanation of other phenomenon which are situated on the border between science and fiction. The conventional classification of meteorites indexed them as: (1) stony meteorites, (2) stony-iron meteorites and (3) iron meteorites. The matter of the Solar System could have various forms and its very varied in relation according to their physical, chemical and mineralogical aspects. In compliance with the above, the author tried to extend the classification by added e.g. ice meteorites, which are recognized in Russian literature. Sometimes others, not classified phenomenon are described as “colorful rains”, “jelly matter”, gas-dust objects or sudden, local darkness. As an evidences that could confirm the main theses of the author, an examples of literature are quoted. All of them should be supported by science investigations which are limited by rare frequency of the phenomena occurrence. By better description of small and different portions of cosmic matter, we could understand the Solar System and its laws.

This paper discusses cyberinformation studies of the Solar System, in particular the identification of scientific terminology that could describe this phenomenon, that is, the study of Solar System, as well as the relationship between the astronomical language of Solar System and theoretical aspect of this system and cybernetics. The result of this research show that there is a matrix code for Solar System. It also shows that the coding system within the planetary language gives detailed information, not only on the planetary “record“, but also on its structure, configuration and its various shapes. The issue of the existence of a planetary code and coding of the individual structural planets of this system are discussed. Is the planetary information characterized only by physical, or also by cyberinformation principles? The potential effects of physical and Orbital characteristics, as well as cybernetic and information principles, on the atronomical basis of Solar System are also investigated. This paper discusses new methods for developing astronomy technologies, in particular more advanced digital technology based on programming, cybernetics, and informational laws and systems, and how this new technology could be useful in astronomy, bioinformatics and other natural sciences.

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the profitability of energy production from alternative energy source, which is the Sun. The article compares the installation of active solar system with installation that uses the traditional source of energy. The study contains a summary of the two energy installations operating in a single family home with a fixed surface area and number of inhabitants. We compared the costs of installation, operating costs, payback period, environmental impact for these two installations. Performed calculations showed the differences in the investment costs and the operating costs of traditional and solar installations for hot water heating. For installation of solar panels, the investor bears almost twice the financial outlay. It should be noted, however, that the payback period is more than 11 years, while the lifetime of the device is up to 20 years. When you buy an installation that uses alternative energy sources, you can apply for grants, which reduce investment costs, or take advantage of the credit specifically designed for such investments. Ecological effects, although unmeasurable, are significant and definitely testify in favor of the solar system.

Opis:
The velocity (~242 km•s-1) of the Solar System around the galactic center within the universal pressure (~10-10 Pascal) produces energies within the earth’s volume that is equivalent to that released by the sum of all earthquakes per unit time. The available energy within the earth and solar volume from the expected spatial variations of this pressure along this perimeter, which requires about 250 million years to traverse, can accommodate the increased geomagnetic activity from the expanding solar corona over the last approximately 100 years as well as the increase in global warming. Inferences of a varying structure of space that may explain the periodicity and range in solar cycles as well as anomalous minimums (such as the Maunder phenomenon) suggest a central galactic singularity with spatial ripples exhibiting peak-to-peak troughs that approximate the earth’s circumference and frequencies in the order of 7 to 8 Hz. The precise velocity-universal pressure flux density may also explain the millilux-range magnitude of the earth’s night (air) glow. These results and the application of these concepts indicate that origins of seismicity, slow drifts in the intensity of geomagnetic activity, and global warming (and cooling) trends are products of differential interactions with quantitative fluctuations in sub-matter space and that the subtle variations encountered as the Solar System moves along this 1021 m perimeter may be more significant than previously assumed.

Experimental work has been carried out to study the possibility of combining a conventional solar water collector with a hybrid device, developed previously and known as PV/T system, in order to obtain hot water with temperature above 40 °C. The effect of the combination on the productivity of hot water and the produced electricity was found. The formerly developed device, in which there was a multi-purpose solar collector, can produce hot water and electricity. It was connected to the conventional fin-tube collector in series in order to raise the product temperature to a higher level. This development was achieved for the first time as a combination between a PV/T and a conventional fin-tube collector. Instrumentation to measure temperatures, solar radiation, wind speed and flow rate was installed on the system. It was found that the water temperature was raised from 29 °C to 32 °C in the PV/T collector system and, after flowing through the conventional collector, it was raised to 50 °C and above. It was also found that the power efficiency in the case of water flow is always higher than in the case of no water flow.

This article validates the application of RT-Lab for the AGC studies of three-area systems. All the areas are employed with thermal-DSTS systems. A new controller named cascade FOPDN-FOPPIDN is employed. Its parameters are optimized using a CSA, subjecting to a new PI named HPA-ISE. The responses of the FOPDN-FOPIDN controller are related and are superior over PIDN and TIDN controllers. Moreover, the dominance of HPA-ISE is verified with ISE, and it performs better in terms of system dynamics. Further, the system performance reliability is analyzed with the AC-HVDC and is better than the AC system. Besides, sensitivity analysis recommends that the proposed FOPDN-FOPIDN at diverse conditions is robust and more reliability.
