Opis:: There is presented the application of the integrated software tools to the reliability of the improved exemplary complex technical system prediction. There are considered three ways of the exemplary system reliability improvement, i.e. a hot single reservation of its components, a cold single reservation of its components and replacing its components by the improved components with reduced intensities of departure from the reliability state subsets. Automatically obtained, using the computer program CP 8.16, the evaluations of these ways improved exemplary system unconditional multistate reliability function, the expected values and the standard deviations of its unconditional lifetimes in the reliability state subsets and the mean values of its lifetimes in the particular reliability states are presented. Moreover, in the case when the improved system is repairable, its renewal and availability characteristics are estimated using the computer program CP 8.8 with appropriately given data.

Opis:: There is presented the application of the integrated software tools to the operation and reliability models of an exemplary complex technical system unknown parameters identification. There are performed in the paper, the exemplary system operation and reliability analysis and modelling. The identification of the probabilities of transitions this system operation process between the operation states and the conditional mean values of this process sojourn times at the particular operation states because of the lack of statistical data is performed throw the arbitrary fixing their values assumption. Next using the computer program CP 8.3 the automatic evaluation of the system components unknown intensities of departures the reliability state subsets and the identification of the exponential forms of their multistate reliability functions on the arbitrarily fixed statistical data coming from the system components states changing processes are performed as well.

Opis:: The paper is composed of six parts and presents the software tools created in the scope of the Poland-Singapore Joint Research Project, the Integrated Safety and Reliability Decision Support System – IS&RDSS. In the paper first part, there are briefly described all computer programs with pointed aims. Dependencies between computer programs and possible transitions using this integrated package of software tools are presented at the scheme algorithm. In the remaining paper parts, there is presented the application of the computer programs, being in the package of software tools, to the reliability analysis of an exemplary complex technical system.

The computer program CP 8.5 is used to determine the unconditional mean sojourn times and the limit transient probabilities of the exemplary system operation process at the particular operation states evaluations. Using the computer program CP 8.6 there are performed the evaluations of the exemplary system unconditional multistate reliability function, the expected values and the standard deviations of its unconditional lifetimes in the reliability state subsets and the mean values of its lifetimes in the particular reliability states. Finally, in the case when the system is repairable, its renewal and availability characteristics are estimated from the results of computer program CP 8.8.

Opis:: There is presented the application of the integrated software tools to the operation and reliability of an exemplary complex technical system optimization. First using the computer program CP 8.9 there are determined the optimal limit transient probabilities of the exemplary system operation process at the particular operation states maximizing the system lifetime in the reliability states not worse than the critical reliability state and its optimal sojourn times at the particular operation states. Program CP 8.9 allows also for automatic evaluation of the exemplary system optimal unconditional multistate reliability function, the optimal expected values and standard deviations of its unconditional lifetimes in the reliability state subsets and the optimal mean values of its lifetimes in the particular reliability states. Moreover, in the case when the system is repairable, its optimal renewal and availability characteristics are obtained using the computer program CP 8.11.

Opis:: This article presents an application that is used as NetFlow collector and analyzer. It is a console application created in Python language. A software analyzer detects and analyzes incoming NetFlow messages version 1 and 5 of devices that support them. The output file is a database of information and analysis of the overall UNIX time duration of reported traffic and analysis of NetFlow lifetime. The software is developed to work with Python version 3 and higher and is designed for the Windows operating system.
W artykule przedstawiono aplikację używaną jako kolektor i analizator NetFlow. Jest to aplikacja konsoli utworzona w języku Python. Analizator oprogramowania wykrywa i analizuje przychodzące wiadomości NetFlow w wersji 1 i 5 dla urządzeń je obsługujących. Plik wyjściowy to baza danych informacji i analizy ogólnego czasu trwania zgłoszonego ruchu UNIX i analizy życia NetFlow. Oprogramowanie zostało opracowywane dla systemu operacyjnego Windows i języka Python wersja 3 lub wyższa.

Opis:: The paper is concerned with the application of the original mathematical models and supporting them software technologies to forecast, analyze and optimize reliability and risks for complex systems (system is defined as a combination of interacting elements organized to achieve one or more stated purposes). Functionality and usability to analyze information system processes and standard processes in system life cycle are presented. Rational use of the proposed results allows to go «from a pragmatical filtration of information to generation of the proved ideas and effective decisions». Effects are demonstrated by examples.

Opis:: The integrated software tools are applied to the exemplary system operation cost analysis and maintenance optimization. Using the computer program CP 8.12 there is obtained the evaluation of the cost before and after the exemplary system operation process optimization and next the computer program CP 8.13 is applied for operation cost analysis of the improved exemplary system. The methods of corrective and preventive maintenance policy maximizing availability and minimizing renovation cost of the complex technical systems in variable operation conditions are illustrated for the analyzed exemplary system using equivalently the computer program CP 8.14 for maintenance policy maximizing system availability and CP 8.15 for minimizing system renovation cost.

Opis:: Artykuł opisuje możliwości zastosowań technologii automatycznej generacji programów (AGP) dla komputerowych systemów bezpieczeństwa. Przeprowadzone badania koncentrowały się na charakterystykach systemów oprogramowania bazujących na modelowaniu i automatycznych narzędziach oprogramowania. W szczególności studium pozwoliło na kolekcję danych dotyczących wymagań inżynieryjnych, wiedzy i wysiłku koniecznego do pomyślnej realizacji projektu wykorzystującego praktykę i technologię AGP. Takie charakterystyki, jak organizacja generowanego programu, rozmiar, łatwość czytania, relacja między programem a modelem, konstrukcje programu ułatwiające operacje w czasie rzeczywistym i generacja przerwań, były przedmiotem identyfikacji. Dodatkowo, projekt używał metodologii inżynierii oprogramowania, gdzie analiza i konstrukcja były zintegrowane w procesie realizacji programu na bazie modelu. Analiza dotyczyła statycznych i dynamicznych charakterystyk wybranych technik i narzędzi oprogramowania wpływających na bezpieczeństwo systemu.

Opis:: W artykule opisano próbę analizy zasadności wykorzystania informatycznych narzędzi wspierających zwinne zarządzanie projektami oraz określenia modelowych cech, którymi powinno charakteryzować się takie oprogramowanie, aby zaspokoić oczekiwania konkretnych członków zespołów projektowych w każdej fazie ich realizacji (koncepcyjnej, planowania, produkcji, testowania w fazie operacyjnej). Rozważania prowadzono, opierając się na wynikach pogłębionych wywiadów, przeprowadzonych wśród członków zespołów projektowych realizujących zadania w sektorze inżynierii oprogramowania.
In this paper we described an attempt of the analysis the legitimacy of the use of tools to support project management and to determine the characteristics of the model, which should have the tools to meet the needs of post-specific members project teams at every level of implementation (planning, design, production, testing and management). The data we used was collected by in-depth interviews conducted with members of the software engineering project teams.

Opis:: The paper concerns advanced risk management in the security domain. This approach is based not only on the traditional risk assessment, but also on the financial cost-benefits analysis and on the identification of hidden, non-financial factors, which may harm the operations of security measures in the operational environment. The paper is related to the FP7 ValueSec project and presents its background, methodology and results. Special focus is placed on the cost-benefits assessment (CBA) of the proposed security measures. Cost and benefits categories are discussed along with the operation of the CBA component. The elaborated toolset is used to support decision makers in different security domains.
Artykuł dotyczy ilościowych metod zarządzania ryzykiem, pozwalających na uwzględnienie w formie pieniężnej kosztów zabezpieczeń oraz korzyści związanych z redukcją ryzyka, uzyskiwanych w wyniku wdrożenia zabezpieczeń. Pokazano przykład zastosowania analizy kosztów-korzyści w projekcie FP 7 ValueSec zrealizowanym z udziałem Instytutu EMAG oraz zamierzenia wykorzystania tego podejścia w aktualnie realizowanym projekcie CIRAS (EPCIP) poświęconym zarządzaniu ryzykiem w infrastrukturach krytycznych. Przedstawiona została przykładowa struktura kosztów i korzyści oraz mierniki efektywności analizowanych rozwiązań. Artykuł przedstawia moduł analizy kosztów-korzyści na tle całego systemu ValueSec, obejmującego także szacowanie ryzyka oraz ocenę czynników pozaekonomicznych, ograniczających efektywność zabezpieczeń.

Opis:: W firmach informatycznych niezwykle istotny jest warsztat pracy. Składają się na niego różne narzędzia programistyczne potrzebne do rozwoju oprogramowania oraz różne metody i techniki. W pracy rozpatrywany jest problem doboru narzędzi w pełnym cyklu rozwoju oprogramowania DevOps. Wtórnym zagadnieniem jest dobór narzędzi rozwoju oprogramowania na studiach na informatycznych kierunkach informatycznych. Z jednej strony chodzi o dobór narzędzi mających duży walor dydaktyczny oraz dobór takich narzędzi, które z dużym prawdopodobieństwem będą wykorzystywane w przyszłej pracy studentów. W celu rozpoznania problemu dokonano inwentaryzacji stosowanych narzędzi oraz przeprowadzono ankietę wśród studentów kierunku informatyki studiów inżynierskich, którzy w dużej części pracują już w firmach informatycznych, dotyczącą wykorzystywanych narzędzi. W wyniku tej ankiety ukształtował się pogląd co do doboru narzędzi w firmach informatycznych oraz wyciągnięto wnioski co do ich doboru w trakcie trwania studiów
In IT companies a software development workbench is of great importance. The workbench consists of various software tools needed for software development, and various methods and techniques. Selection of right tools is very important in software development processes. This paper considers the problem of tool selection in the full DevOps software development cycle. DevOps cycle is the most complete software development cycle. The second issue is the selection of software development tools in undergraduate computer science courses. On the one hand, the issue of a the selection of tools that have high didactic value and the selection of such tools that are likely to be used in students’ future work. In order to recognize the problem, an inventory of the used tools was made and a survey was conducted among students of engineering computer science, who largely work in IT companies, about the used tools. As a result of these surveys, a view was formed as to the selection of tools in IT companies and students.

Opis:: With the growing number of IT projects and their complexity their deeper analysis became necessary. For this purpose, the historical data on previously completed projects began to collect – it has enabled projects undergo a detailed analysis, which allowed the efficient implementation of projects and allowed in advance to detect the potential problems. Thus a new area of research, Mining Software Repository (MSR), was born. Research in the field of MSR brings very promising results. The increasing importance of research for gaining the tools to support the process of collecting and analyzing the data related to software development is observed. This paper presents the existing MSR tools carries out its analysis and describes the weaknesses of each individual solutions.
