Opis:
In the era of digitization and globalization, education is undergoing major changes. Learning new competencies is crucial, despite some obstacles such as pandemics. It is possible to perceive the development of digital learning and the evolution of society into a smart society. The article examines the role of digital learning in this process, using a review of scientific literature. Databases such as Proquest, Emerald, Scopus, and Ebsco were searched, using terms related to online education and Society 5.0. An analysis of 27 of the 18,980 entries shows the relationship between the development of education, technology, and society. Technology influences education by promoting self-reliance. However, technology alone is not enough to improve the quality of life, hence the growing need for new forms of learning, leading to Education 5.0. E-learning, focusing on the individual learner, promotes the development of a smart society and the growth of economic activity.

Purpose: The aim of the article is to present the perceptions of ICT in times of the development of Society 5.0 in the awareness of beneficiaries of the healthcare system, and outlining the prospects of applying these solutions in the health sector. Design/methodology/approach: The research was conducted in Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The questionnaire was used to survey people using primary healthcare services. Findings: The respondents identified the importance of various forms of using ICT by primary healthcare entities, specifying their preferred information communication channel. The greatest number of indications, nearly 92% of the respondents, chose a direct contact with the doctor as important or very important. Originality/value: The health sector in Poland, as well as in other countries of the EU, has been the subject of constant changes though they are not clearly visible for the general public. Technological progress and the related innovations in the field of communication are an opportunity to improve the information flow between the doctor and patient. Moreover, they facilitate gaining knowledge and thus constitute an important dimension in the process of learning in the perspective of Society 5.0 development. New ICT channels may be an important method for the health sector to find ways of reducing the costs of patient service.

Opis:
The article addresses selected problems related to the perspective on the development of Industry 4.0 and social and cultural changes that accompany this development and lead toward the so-called post-digital society. In the field of industry, the changes concern, among others, the functioning of various organizations, and in the perspective of post-digital society – human beings and their relations with the world of technology. These changes lead to an increase in the role of technological factors, hence the current revival of technological determinism, and this, in turn, has to do with questions regarding human subjectivity. In this context, questions regarding humans also revolve around the need to acknowledge their increasing capabilities and scope of freedom, and on the other hand, their loss of autonomy in relation to the world of technology.

Opis:
The article focuses on selected problems which have now appeared and fall under the ideas “industry 4.0” and “society 5.0”, namely on anthropological issues. Changes in the relationships between man and technology based on trust lead to an increase of the role of the technological factor in these relations. Other aspects of the analyzed changes concern the new requirements of the responsibility and changes of human subjectivity and rationality. The future of man appears to be an area of uncertainty related to inter alia the conditions of functioning and living in the order of the post-digital world.

Opis:
Purpose: The purpose of this article is to attempt to demonstrate the role of Integral Theory in explaining the upcoming managerial processes in Society 5.0. Design/methodology/approach: The explanatory procedure includes both a deterministic and indeterministic approach. The authors of this paper analyze currently conducted empirical research on the functioning of organizational structures in Poland and abroad in production, services and public organizations, including the so-called third sector. Findings: Research clearly indicates the slow, but systematic evolution of the organizational structures and the principles of their functioning. The so-called self-managing employee teams are increasingly being formed. Research limitations/implications: Research seems to purposefully monitor the functioning of the organizations systems. Practical implications: By constructing and anticipating social and economic processes we have attempted to identify managerial tools that are helpful in improving managerial activities to meet the requirement of the organization due to changing external conditions. Social implications: Such a test is the concept of a teal organization as a new type of organization, appropriate for the emerging age of Society 5.0. Originality/value: The research results indicate relatively fast changes in the functioning of enterprises in the field of inter-organizational cooperation.

Opis:
Purpose: The purpose of the article is to assess the level of use of information technologies by households in selected European countries and the resulting transformations in socio-economic relations. Design/methodology/approach: The article uses one of the taxonomic methods – the Hellwig’s development pattern method. 20 diagnostic features were adopted to develop Hellwig’s synthetic measure. They reflect the access and use of the Internet by households in five areas: networking and formal activities in the fields of e-government, e-banking, e-education, e-health; carrying out political and civic activities online (consulting, voting, expressing opinions); making informal contacts and participating in social networks (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.); e-commerce; using instant messaging and e-mail. Findings: In the light of the characteristics adopted for the survey, the highest level of use of information technology by households is characteristic of Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Finland. The countries with the lowest rates are Romania and Bulgaria. Research limitations/implications: The studies presented may contribute to further in-depth analyses of the links between the use of information technologies in individual countries and their level of economic development in the long term. Originality/value: The results are addressed to public authorities in 30 European countries. On their basis, leaders in the use of information technologies by households in various areas of economic and social life were identified. The distance between the other countries was also diagnosed. The results of the research can guide public authorities in developing strategies for the development and dissemination of information technologies in their countries.
