Opis:
Multidisciplinary approach and co-operation with professionals in other fields are essential points for a social worker to understand and solve properly the problem, how much human problems are hardly to categorize and in many cases appear collectively. Since the social worker holds the position of a counselor in fact in every problematic case, social counseling is his most applied professional field within counseling. Common attribute of social work and special pedagogy as auxiliary science is the role of solving problems and aiming changes in the counseling. These points will be highlighted in general and by concrete examples as well in the following text.

Celem artykułu jest wskazanie i ogólna charakterystyka kluczowych elementów procesu doradztwa społecznego. Przy realizacji tak postawionego zadania – oprócz fachowej literatury przedmiotu − wykorzystano doświadczenie zawodowe w tej dziedzinie jednego ze współautorów: František Drozd od kilkunastu lat prowadzi praktykę doradztwa społecznego na Słowacji. Zdobyta przez ten czas wiedza pozwoliła mu określić w sposób kompetentny zasadnicze czynniki procesu doradczego. Są to: (1) odpowiednie warunki zewnętrzne i uwzględnienie czynnika czasu; (2) właściwie przeprowadzona rozmowa doradcza; (3) zawarcie stosownego kontraktu z klientem i umiejętne zakończenie procesu doradczego, oraz (4) przestrzeganie zasad etycznych w relacji doradczej.
The aim of the article is to indicate the general characteristics of the key elements of social counseling process. To accomplish this task authors used professional literature and professional experience in the field of one of the co-authors. František Drozd several years has been practicing of social counseling in Slovakia. His experience allowed him to competently determine the key factors in the counseling process. These are: (1) ambient conditions and taking into account the time factor; (2) properly conducted interview; (3) the relevant contract with the client and skillful completion of the counseling process, and (4) ethical principles in counseling work.

Opis:
This article contains considerations on counselling in the context of how it is situated within ethical and deontological standards. The theoretical concept is an attempt to show the combination of ethics and deontology in the counselling proceedings. For this purpose the authors refer to the specific code of conduct intended for supportive proceedings determined by axiological ethics, normative ethics and deontological issues in their broadest sense, which concerns the liability towards the supported individual. To make the discussion implementable the authors also refer to the practice of counselling intervention as something integrated with ethical proceedings. Therefore, the considerations included herein show that no sort of activity within the area of help and social support can be independent of axiology. This is because each counsellor who establishes a specific relationship with the supported person enters the ethical space being more or less aware of this fact.

In this publication the author presents the results of research carried out in the Internet space in order to obtain a typology of the reasons why modern women seek help on internet forums. The reader will find a description of the non-professional counselling and its mediated forms of media perspective. Users activity of internet forums has also been characterised as oscillating on a continuum "advisor - client". The author focuses on the presentation of the reasons why the users take the role of advisors and clients. Users emotional states have been analysed accompanying participation in online counselling process. The surveys results serving for this publication were based on an interview using online communication tools and content analysis. The conclusion of the study shows that the non-professional counselling conducted out with the use of online communication tools may serve as a support for professional individual counselling.

Times we live in make us question what is going to happen with the world after the pandemic. The struggle against COVID-19 and changes produced will have impact on the mind of many people. Some lose their relatives, who they cannot bury. Others live in a constant state of fear about their health and future living. The world will never be the same. People will never be as they were before this traumatic event. The invisible enemy – coronavirus – will leave a lasting mark on their memory. Many will need support which can be provided by specialist counselling. Many will struggle with a trauma, which will make the return to “normality” impossible for a long time. A traumatic experience is a psychological trauma suffered by a person and caused by a strong, sudden stimulus. This stimulus is intensive enough to cause changes in the areas of soma, psyche and polis, and it also directly threatens health or life of a person. People after a traumatic experience require a complex assistance to return to their normal functioning. Currently, this stimulus is a deadly virus. The article presents the role of the specialist counselling in the area of social work with a person and their family after a traumatic experience.

Counsellors and practicum supervisors reflected on their professional education preparation, and sometimes lack of preparation, for engagement in multicultural counselling and social justice activities. They highlighted the need for increased emphasis on applied experiences, both within and outside the classroom; the translation of theory into practice; a broader, systemic conceptualisation of client expe‑riences and professional practice roles; and specific skills training for social justice action and advocacy. Implications for counsellor education are highlighted.
Doradcy i opiekunowie praktyk przedstawili swoje przemyślenia na temat przygotowania zawodowego (a czasem jego braku) do uprawiania poradnictwa wielokulturowego oraz podejmowania działań w obszarze sprawiedliwości społecznej. Podkreślili oni potrzebę przywiązywania większej wagi do doświadczenia praktycznego zarówno podczas zajęć akademickich, jak i poza nimi. Inne ważne z ich punktu widzenia kwestie to przekładanie teorii na praktykę, szersza, systemowa konceptualizacja doświadczeń klientów i praktycznej roli zawodowej oraz kształcenie umiejętności bezpośrednio związanych z działaniami w zakresie sprawiedliwości społecznej i rzecznictwa. Artykuł omawia wnioski płynące z tych spostrzeżeń dla kształcenia doradców.

Tekst stanowi próbę wskazania na możliwości analityczne, jakie daje koncepcja społecznego tworzenia rzeczywistości w odniesieniu do zjawiska homoseksualizmu w Polsce. Wskazano w nim także na ważny z perspektywy dyskursu poradoznawczego obszar, jakim jest praca z osobami homoseksualnymi oraz osobami, których bliscy mają homoseksualną orientację seksualną. Artykuł składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej przedstawiony został stosunek polskiego prawa i Polaków do homoseksualizmu. Na podstawie raportów z badań (przeprowadzanych m.in. przez takie instytucje jak Centrum Badań Opinii Społecznej czy Centrum Badań nad Uprzedzeniami) oraz z wykorzystaniem mediów przedstawiono zarówno przejawy homofobii czy dyskryminacji, jak i tolerancji wobec osób homoseksualnych. W drugiej części autorka wskazuje na możliwości analityczne, jakie daje koncepcja społecznego tworzenia rzeczywistości w odniesieniu do sytuacji homoseksualizmu w Polsce. Wskazano tu na pytania, jakie można zadać z perspektywy tej teorii, przyglądając się zjawisku homoseksualizmu na terenie Polski. Trzecia część porusza obszar niesienia pomocy osobom homoseksualnym i ich bliskim w sytuacji poradniczej. Autorka odnosi się tu zarówno do zadań, jakie stawia przed doradcą spotkanie z osobą homoseksualną czy jej bliskimi w sytuacji poradniczej, jak i do postrzegania samej sytuacji poradniczej z perspektywy koncepcji Bergera i Luckmanna. Tekst stanowi wstęp do dalszych badań społecznego stanu wiedzy na temat homoseksualizmu i możliwej zmiany rzeczywistości.
The text attempts to indicate the analytical possibilities offered by the concept of the social construction of reality in relation to the phenomenon of homosexuality in the context of Poland. It also points to an important area from the perspective of the counselling discourse, which is the work with homosexual people and people whose relatives have a homosexual sexual orientation. The article consists of three parts. The first one presents the attitude of Polish law and Poles towards homosexuality. Based on reports from research (conducted for example by such institutions as the Centre for Social Opinion Research or the Centre for Research on Prejudice) and the media, both manifestations of homophobia or discrimination and tolerance towards homosexual people are presented. In the second part, the author points to the analytical possibilities offered by the concept of the social construction of reality in relation to the situation of homosexuality in Poland. The questions that can be asked from the perspective of this theory when looking at the phenomenon of homosexuality in Poland are indicated here. The third part deals with the area of providing help to homosexual people and their relatives in a counseling situation. The author refers here both to the tasks that a counsellor has to face when meeting a homosexual person or his relatives in a counselling situation and to the perception of the counselling situation itself from the perspective of Berger and Luckmann’s concept. The text is an introduction to further research into the social state of knowledge about homosexuality and possible changes in reality.

Artykuł jest dedykowany prof. Eugenii Annie Wesołowskiej. Uwagi dotyczące poradnictwa ukazują jego przydatność i rozwój we współczesnym zmiennym i nieprzewidywalnym świecie oraz rolę w życiu ludzi z niego korzystających. W związku z tym, zwrócono w nim uwagę, że po pierwsze, poradnictwo - które głównie polega na radzeniu, doradzaniu, udzielaniu porad i konsultacji, prowadzeniu indywidualnej lub grupowej „łagodnej terapii” przez doradcę dla/wobec/z radzącym się - stanowi taką społeczną praktykę, jaka może być przedmiotem badań naukowych odrębnej dyscypliny. Po drugie, uprawiając poradoznawstwo, na ową praktykę można spojrzeć z poziomu mikro, perspektywy mezo i perspektywy makro. I po trzecie, różnicowanie się praktyki, poradnictwa na wszystkich tych poziomach może mieć różne podstawy, ale jego cechy konstytutywne są stałe, a ujęte w 9 punktach, wskazują na cel poradnictwa, stosowane metody i społeczno-kulturowe konteksty jego realizacji.
The article is dedicated to Professor Eugenia Anna Wesołowska. It reflects on counselling, highlighting the utility and development of counselling practices in the changeable and unpredictable world of our times as well as spelling out the relevance of counselling in the lives of counselees. Firstly, counselling is conceived of as a social practice involving providing advice, guidance, consultation, recommendation and a range of individual and group “mild therapy” forms conducted by a counsellor for/vis-a-vis/with a counselee. This social practice can be an object of research within a separate discipline. Secondly, this practice, if studied within the framework of counselogy, can be examined in terms of its micro-, meso- and macro-levels. And, thirdly, although counselling practices are diverse and expand at all three levels for different reasons, counselling constitutive features remain the same. Classified in nine points, they define the aim of counselling, the methods applied in counselling and the socio-cultural contexts in which counselling is implemented.

In this paper the author presents some part of her own research conducted in the Netherlands and aimed at knowing the career counsellors role in society and local communities. The author argues that it is useful for researcher to make use of the theory of structuration by Anthony Giddens to interpret the collected data. This theory allows researcher to interpret both actions of an individual as well the social and cultural contexts of these actions. In the article the role of career counsellors working for private counselling office has been presented as an example of the way of using the theory of structuration. While indicating the rules of acting and the moments of reflexive monitoring of action by counsellors, which are some of the crucial elements/concepts in structuration theory, the author presents the analysis based on this theory. As the results show, the social role of career counsellors seems to be complex and based on many cultural factors.

Gwałtowne zmiany społeczno-ekonomiczne odciskają głębokie piętno na biografiach ludzi, a więc również na skierowanym do nich poradnictwie, zwłaszcza poradnictwie kariery. Zmienia się także samo rozumienie kariery. Wszystko to sprawia, że poradoznawstwo poszukuje nowych koncepcji opisu tej płynnej i niejednoznacznej rzeczywistości oraz sposobów jej interpretacji. Jednocześnie zmieniają się same nauki społeczne – następuje przejście paradygmatyczne od pozytywizmu do interpretatywizmu. Orientacje ulokowane w tym nowym paradygmacie rozumiejącym, zakorzenione w tradycji fenomenologiczno-hermeneutycznej, stają się atrakcyjnym polem poszukiwań badawczych oraz zdają się odpowiadać na współczesne potrzeby zarówno teorii, jak i praktyki poradnictwa. Jednym z takich stanowisk jest obecne podejście konstruktywistyczne łączące w sobie tradycje kognitywistyki i konstrukcjonizmu społecznego. Stanowisko to zdaje się być radykalne, gdyż kwestionuje istnienie obiektywnie poznawalnej rzeczywistości i proponuje nową ontologię społeczną, gdzie jest możliwych wiele rzeczywistości społecznych konstruowanych przez jednostki i grupy w trakcie wzajemnych interakcji poprzez uzgadnianie i nadawanie znaczeń tej rzeczywistości. Stąd kariera, ale także tożsamość jest konstruowana, a nie odkrywana. Konstruowanie dzieje się poprzez narracje. Stanowisko to ma głębokie i szerokie implikacje dla poradnictwa kariery. Interesującą propozycję aplikacji konstruktywizmu do poradnictwa zaprezentował grecki badacz Spyros Kriwas.
Rapid socio-economic changes leave a deep imprint on people's biographies and, therefore, also on counselling, especially career counselling. The meaning of a career itself is also changing. All this means that counselling studies are in need of a new concept for describing this fluid and uncertain reality and new ways of describing it. At the same time, social sciences are also changing – there is a shift in paradigm from positivistic to interpretative. Approaches within this new understanding paradigm, tracing their roots to the phenomenological-hermeneutic tradition, are becoming an attractive area for research and seem to correspond to contemporary needs of both theory and practice of counselling One of such approaches is the constructivist position that combines the cognitive and social constructivism traditions. Such a position appears to be radical, as it puts into question the existence of an objectively cognitive reality and proposes a new social ontology. It would be based on many possible social realities constructed by individuals and groups through interactions, such as accommodating and giving meaning to the said reality. Therefore a career, but also an identity is constructed, not discovered. This construction is done through narration. Such an approach has deep implications for career counselling. The Greek researcher Spyros Kriwas presented an interesting proposal for applying constructivism to counselling.

Tekst dotyczy historycznych i współczesnych sposobów i form kształcenia w zakresie poradnictwa (rodzinnego, zawodowego, socjalnego itp.) na kierunku „praca socjalna” w Polsce, analizowanych z punktu widzenia standardów jakości kształcenia akademickiego, w tym również wyznaczanych przez Polską Komisję Akredytacyjną, a także reform systemu pomocy społecznej. Zmiany systemu pomocy powodują, że działania pomocowe wychodzą obecnie poza czynności administracyjne, a kładą większy nacisk na bezpośrednie, specjalistyczne wsparcie rodziny w różnych zakresach jej funkcjonowania: wychowania dzieci, budowania zdrowych relacji małżeńskich, edukacji dzieci, w tym dzieci ze szczególnymi potrzebami, wsparcia osób zależnych i współuzależnionych, z niepełnosprawnościami i będących w kryzysach. Wsparcie to realizowane jest w szczególności poprzez poradnictwo specjalistyczne, będące drobnym elementem kształcenia przyszłych pracowników socjalnych na polskich uczelniach.
The text concerns historical and contemporary ways and forms of education in the area of counselling (family, vocational, social, etc.) as practiced in the field of “social work” in Poland, analysed from the point of view of academic education quality standards, including those set by the Polish Accreditation Commission, as well as the reforms of the social assistance system. The changes in the system cause that the assistance activities now go beyond administrative activities, and put more emphasis on direct, specialist support for the family in various areas of its functioning: raising children, building healthy marital relations, education of children, including children with special needs, support for dependent persons, disabilities and people in crises. This support is implemented mainly through specialist counselling, which is an element of the education of social workers at Polish universities.
