    This paper presents the results of a study to assess the feasibility of using the Structure from Motion photogrammetric method to estimate what parts of Wołek Castle have survived from the 15th century to the present day. The photogrammetric measurements were made with a Nikon D5200 camera, and 249 mock-up images were obtained. Planimetry and altitude coordinates of the castle ruins were obtained using RTN GNSS measurements and the polar method. The measurements were made in the 2000 coordinate system in zone 6, the heights were obtained in the Kronstadt system. Two spatial models were made. The first one in the field scale was made using the ground control points measured in the terrain. The second one was made using ground control points measured on the model in the local system. The control measures were analyzed, the model compared with the actual orthophotomap, and it was estimated what part of the castle was preserved in reality.

    Skuteczne i sprawne zarządzanie warsztatem produkcyjnym może zapewnić przedsiębiorstwu przewagę konkurencyjną, a eliminacja marnotrawstwa w produkcji staje się priorytetem. W odniesieniu do powyższego podjęto przegląd piśmiennictwa, którego zasadniczym celem była analiza publikacji związanych z metodą Shopfloor Management (SFM). Autorzy wybrali to narzędzie Lean Production (LP) związane z zarządzaniem wizualnym z uwagi na osobiste doświadczenie zawodowe w obszarze wdrożeń SFM w firmach produkcyjnych branży metalowej. Kolejną przesłanką wyboru SFM był zauważony i poparty badaniem literatury metodą analizy słów kluczowych niedobór publikacji w języku polskim dotyczący implementacji SFM w rodzimych przedsiębiorstwach. Przegląd literatury wykazał rosnące zainteresowanie metodą SFM w krajach wysoko rozwiniętych oraz przyrost publikacji związanych z oceną skutków wdrożeń w tych krajach, przy jednoczesnym niedoborze piśmiennictwa dotyczącego polskich firm. Znaleziona luka badawcza odnosi się do niedostatecznie zbadanych obszarów, jak te związane z metodą SFM czy cyfryzacją i automatyzacją wizualizacji danych w warsztacie produkcyjnym. Autorzy podjęli próbę uzupełnienia zaobserwowanej luki wiedzy poprzez analizę wyselekcjonowanych artykułów wraz z zestawieniem wniosków z obserwacji uczestniczącej, doświadczenia zawodowego i własnych badań naukowych. Opracowanie skierowane jest zarówno do studentów nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości, jak i praktyków wdrożeń Lean związanych z organizowaniem systemów produkcyjnych. Podjęte badania pozwoliły dokonać systematyzacji elementarnego modelu strukturalnego metody SFM, który może być podstawą koncepcyjną dla praktyków wdrożeń w Polsce. Zagadnienia zawarte w niniejszym artykule nie tylko w syntetyczny sposób porządkują i uzupełniają wiedzę dotyczącą tej metody, ale leżą również w dziedzinie zainteresowań autorów i kontrybuują w rozwój ich dorobku naukowego.
    Effective and efficient management of the production workshop can provide the enterprise with a competitive advantage, and the elimination of waste becomes a priority. Therefore, the authors performed a literature review, the main purpose of which was to analyze publications related to the Shopfloor Management (SFM) method. The authors chose this visual management tool due to personal professional experience in SFM implementation. Another reason for choosing SFM was the shortage of Polish publications concerning the implementation of this method in domestic enterprises, which the authors noticed in their study of the literature using the keyword analysis method. The literature review showed a growing interest in the SFM method in highly developed countries and an increase in publications related to the assessment of the effects of its implementation in these countries, with a simultaneous shortage of research on Polish companies. The research gap found refers to insufficiently researched areas, such as those related to the SFM method or data visualization in the production workshop. The authors attempt to fill the observed knowledge gap by analyzing selected articles and their conclusions from participatory observation, professional experience and own scientific research. The study is addressed to both students of management and quality sciences as well as practitioners of Lean implementation in the organization of production systems. The undertaken research systematizes the structural model of the SFM method, and may form the conceptual basis for Lean implementation for practitioners in Poland.

    This research attempted to determine the optimal photo overlap, number of control points and method of camera calibration for a photogrammetric 3D model reconstruction of an object of cultural heritage value. Terrestrial images of the object were taken with a hand held digital camera and processed in the ContextCapture software using the Structure from Motion (SfM) algorithm. A total station was used to measure ground control points (GCPs) and check points. Here, the research workflow, methodology, and various analyses concerning different configurations of the aforementioned factors are described. An at tempt to assess the parameters which should be implemented in order to pro vide a high degree of accuracy of the model and reduce time consumption both during fieldwork and data processing was taken. The manuscript discusses the results of the analyses and compares them with other studies presented by different authors and indicates further potential directions of studies within this scope. Based on the authors’ experience with this research, some general conclusions and remarks concerning the planning of photo acquisition from the terrestrial level for the purpose of 3D model reconstruction were formulated.

    Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) equipped with photogrammetric or remote sensing instrumentations offer numerous opportunities in mapping and data collection for topographic modelling. An example is an emerging technique known as Structure-from-Motion (SfM) photogrammetry used for the collection of low-cost, high spatial resolution, three-dimensional data. This study utilised the real time kinematic-based point-to-point validation technique and two sets of randomly selected ground control points to assess the capability and geometric accuracy of SfM-technology for three-dimensional (3D) terrain mapping over a small study area to contribute to the knowledge of applicability. The data used was collected in Garscube Sports Complex, Glasgow City Council, Scotland. The study utilised fifteen (15) Ground Control Points (GCPs) coordinated by the Real Time Kinematic Global Navigation Satellite System (RTK GNSS) positioning technique, while a DJI Phantom 3 Professional unmanned aerial vehicle was used to obtain the aerial photos in a single flight to minimise cost. The processing of the photos was done using Pix4Dmapper Pro software version 4.2.27. A point-to-point validation method was used to evaluate the 3D positional accuracy of the orthophoto and DSM. The results of the validation with ten checkpoints suggest a high level of accuracy and acceptability given a Root Mean Square Error of 20.93 mm, 18.48 mm and 46.05 mm in the X, Y and Z coordinates respectively. In conclusion, the study has shown that SfM technique can be used to produce high-resolution and accurate topographic data for geospatial applications with significant advantages over the traditional methods. However, it is to be noted that the quality of the data captured is dependent on the methodology adopted and should be taken into consideration.

    W artykule przedstawione zostały zagadnienia związane z przetwarzaniem i analizą zdjęć, pozyskanych niskobudżetowymi sensorami naziemnymi i Bezzałogowym Systemem Latającym (BSL), miejskich stanowisk archeologicznych zlokalizowanych na terenie Kutaisi w Gruzji. Przedstawiono problematykę przeprowadzania badań archeologicznych na obszarze miejskim oraz przybliżono problem braku danych źródłowych dla badanego terenu. W celu wygenerowania dokumentacji fotogrametrycznej dla stanowiska Bagrati, zdecydowano się na wykorzystanie niskobudżetowego BSL DJI Phantom 3 oraz kamery Pentax. Ze względu na jakość geometryczną i radiometryczną wykorzystywanych sensorów niezbędne było zaproponowanie rozszerzonej metodyki przetwarzania danych z BSL i zdjęć naziemnych w oprogramowaniu Agisoft PhotoScan. W tym celu wykorzystano interfejs programistyczny API (ang. Application Programming Interface), pozwalający na wykorzystanie funkcji oprogramowania niedostępnych w podstawowej wersji aplikacji oraz autorski skrypt stworzony w MatLab. Zaproponowano sposób przetwarzania, filtracji, usuwania oraz wagowania obserwacji. W wyniku przeprowadzonych prac i sposobu filtracji danych poprawiono dokładność procesu aerotriangulacji o rząd wielkości w porównaniu do obserwacji surowych, jak również rozszerzono analizę statystyczną danych.
    In this research, the issues related to processing and analysis of the images, acquired by the low-cost terrestrial sensors and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the archaeological sites in an urban environment placed in area of Kutaisi, Georgia, have been considered. Taking into account generation of the Bagrati site photogrammetric documentation, the low-cost UAV DJI Phantom 3 and Pentax SLR camera, were chosen. Due to the geometrical and radiometric parameters of the chosen sensors, an extended methodology of UAV and terrestrial data processing in Agisoft PhotoScan was proposed. This task solution was enabled by application programming interface API (which allowed taking advantage of software functions - not available in the basic version of the program) and additionally the script written in MatLab software by authors. The method of processing, filtrating, eliminating and weighting of the measurement observations in the bundle adjustment process was proposed . As a result of performed works, the accuracy of the results of the bundle adjustment, increased significantly in comparison to the raw data. Furthermore, statistical data analysis had been expanded.

    The article describes a method for analyzing and solving problem situations with the use of Su-Field models and 76 inventive standards. These tools are part of the “Theory of Inventive Problem Solving”. The author has presented the basic concepts of Su-Field models, including in the compilation of the most commonly used substances their fields and types of interactions in Su-Field models. The inventive standards have also been presented and grouped. Attempts have been made to solve two undesirable situations that occur during the operation of a complex technical system, which is the fuel injector of the self-ignition engine. Problem situations related to insufficient impact were modelled - too low tightening of the injector spring, and negative (harmful) interaction - erosive wear of the holes in the atomizer nozzle. Using the inventive standards of Class-1 and Class-2, general solutions to these problems have been found. After the transformation, exemplary detailed ways of solving the aforementioned problems have been presented in order to improve the design of the injector for these models. A summary and comments on the applicability of the presented methodology, regarding such complex technical systems, have also been presented.

    Opis:
    Projection of a complicated geometry of industrial objects is the complex issue, which requires properly planned and prepared measurements. Such objects must be accurately inventoried, but their complicated nature often makes the access and the visibility of their entire surface very difficult. Documentation of measurements is often prepared in the form of sketches, plans or maps, which are amended with photographic documentation. The objective of this paper is to test the possibilities to apply laser scanning and the network of digital images for inventory and monitoring of technical conditions of industrial objects. Processing of a precise documentation acquired basing on terrestrial laser scanning data or dense points clouds generated from digital images still causes many difficulties and problems. Although data processing algorithms have been intensively developed with respect to generation of high resolution orthoimages or precise vector drawings, the existing problems are still connected with limitations related to imperfections of both techniques of measurements.

    W artykule przedstawiono rezultaty wstępnych badań, mających na celu ocenę możliwości zastosowania fotogrametrycznej metody Structure-from-Motion w celu tworzenia przestrzennych modeli ścian eksploatacyjnych w górnictwie odkrywkowym i ich inżynierskiego wykorzystania w procesie projektowania robót strzałowych. W wyniku przeprowadzonych analiz, na podstawie dokumentacji fotograficznej sporządzonej w Kopalni Dolomitu „Dubie”, wykonano model przestrzenny, a następnie zweryfikowano poziom dokładności jego reprezentacji poprzez porównanie z chmurą punktów uzyskaną w trakcie skanowania 3D skarpy skalnej.
    This paper presents the preliminary studies in subject of the assessment of the possibility of the implementation of The Structure-from-Motion photogrammetric method in the purpose to create three-dimensional exploitation slope models in opencast mines as well as the engineering use of this method in blasting design process. The photographic documentation which was used in the analysis was taken in The Dolomite Open Strip Mine “Dubie”. As the result of the analysis the spatial model was performed. The model’s verification by the comparison of the design model and the obtained point-cloud throughout the 3D laser scanning of the rock slope was included.
