Opis:
Being convinced about the possibility of making changes in your life is very important for a young adolescent entering the world of adulthood. It will let them overcome difficulties and failures. Theoretical reflections concerning the importance of education in shaping a sense of influence among young people are reflected in the results of empirical research presented in the article. The obtained results point that school is a place where young people acquire beliefs about the reasonableness of their own activities. Overcoming one’s own weaknesses and limitations, and accepting the ones which a young person does not have an influence on constitutes an essential element in forming beliefs about the importance of their own activities.
Dla młodego człowieka w okresie adolescencji, wchodzącego w świat dorosłości, posiadanie przekonania o możliwości dokonywania zamian w swoim życiu, poczucie, że na to życie ma wpływ, jest bardzo ważnym zasobem psychicznym, który pozwoli mu pokonywać trudności i niepowodzenia. Refleksje teoretyczne dotyczące znaczenia edukacji w kształtowaniu poczucia wpływu młodych ludzi znalazły odzwierciedlenie w wynikach badań empirycznych zaprezentowanych w artykule. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują, że szkoła jest miejscem, w którym młodzi ludzie nabywają przekonania o sensowności własnej aktywności. Pokonywanie w procesie edukacji własnych słabości i ograniczeń, godzenie się z tymi, na które młody człowiek nie ma wpływu stanowi istotny element w kształtowaniu przekonania o znaczeniu własnej aktywności.

Opis:
The text presents an outline of the history of local government development in Poland over the last hundred years, with particular emphasis on the last three decades. Its importance was discussed in the process of decentralization and democratization of the broadly understood political system. It was emphasized that it was this segment that was the first to be subjected to democratic changes and that it is in this area, both objectively and in the opinion of the public, that one can speak about the greatest success in rebuilding the social and political system of Poland. The extremely important role of self-government in the socio-economic development of the state was also pointed out, which is also connected with the fact that in no other country local governments play such a significant role in using EU structural funds. The role of local self-government as a school of democracy was also presented, showing that it is increasingly a kind of a center for the cadres of central power elites. Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that it is at this level that the instruments of direct democracy are used to the greatest extent, which favors democratic education in increasing social subjectivity. . It was also pointed out that after the parliamentary elections in 2015, won by the "Prawica Razem" coalition, the central authorities are taking steps to strengthen their position in relation to the local government.

Sense of school belonging is related to school/classroom social membership. Students’ sense of school belonging depends on teachers, classmates and parents, and arises from a positive interpersonal relationship based on care and support, which contributes to students’ sense of community. The scientific problem analysed in the article is defined by the following question: which fac- tors of school educational environment are significant for the sense of school belonging and social membership to arise? The databases of tests, student and school questionnaires of the OECD PISA worldwide study were used for the survey. 4618 students aged 15 from 216 general and vocational schools of Lithuania participated in the survey. Analysis of data showed that some factors of school educational environment have a positive, while other ones-negative relation to the sense of school belonging.

Opis:
Power in organizations creates interpersonal settings and lays the ground for designating individual roles and positions of superiors and subordinates. In such a context, influence tactics are situation-specific behaviors used to change the behavior of others and achieve organizational goals. The notion that power and influence can be based on personal or positional variables was used to design the framework of the present studies intended to describe how trait- and state-like variables are related to influence tactics and deinfluentization. The subjects were 250 Polish managers. Study 1 (n = 250) was undertaken to collect data about the influence tactics of Polish managers to fill the void in information in the field of social psychology in organizations. In Study 2 (n = 104) we correlated influence tactics with the personal sense of power. The results proved that the perception of having the ability to exert power over others was positively related to rational persuasion, apprising, and pressure. In Study 3 (n = 69) we investigated the relationships of influence tactics and deinfluentization with the Big Five and directiveness. The results showed that Neuroticism was positively correlated with pressure, legitimating, and coalition, but negatively with rational persuasion and consultation. Extraversion was positively correlated with rational persuasion, so was Conscientiousness. Agreeableness was negatively related to coalition. Directiveness was in a positive relation with pressure but correlated negatively with personal appeals. Deinfluentization positively correlated with Agreeableness and negatively with directiveness.
