Przeanalizowano nowe zasady finansowania nauki w Polsce. Wskazano główne przyczyny, uzasadniające konieczność wprowadzenia zmian w dotychczasowym systemie. Wymieniono zadania, jakie mogą być finansowane ze środków budżetowych przeznaczonych na naukę oraz główne kryteria ich wyboru. Opisano strukturę Rady Nauki jako organu opiniodawczo-doradczego ministra do spraw nauki.
New principles of financing scientific research in Poland are analysed. The main reasons for necessary changes in the existing system are indicated. Tasks that can be financed from budget resources allocated to scientific research as well as the main criteria for their selection are listed. The structure of the Council for Science, the consultative and advisory body to the Minister of Science and Information Society Technologies is presented.

This article explains how to make a media event out of the research or scientific achievement. Most popular reasons for meeting or not meeting with media are discussed first, to prove that every, even the most hermetic branch of science is mediagenic. The main problem is to prepare very well (or even better) such an event as meeting with the media. Then the following steps of the meeting with media are presented and analyzed.

Comeniological research can be recognized as the one that belongs to the broadly understood humanities. Due to the factual diversity of Comenius' creative output, which is the subject of many scientific specialties, it can be included in transdisciplinary research. In this way, comeniology is capable of constructing many genetic sequences, thanks to which Comenius' legacy and heritage is not only of a historical nature; it truly belongs to the valuable components of contemporary humanistic culture. On the other hand, however, the affiliation of comeniology to the humanities also has a darker side; looking at it from the scientific and methodological point of view, generalizations within it are not nomothetic.

The article presents the results of analyses aimed at capturing the significance of bricolage emerging from its uses in scientific research practice. The main point of my interest are scientific conceptualizations of the concept of bricolage relating to the practice of defining, characterizing and embedding its meaning in existing theoretical approaches. The empirical basis of the analysis is confined to a set of 47 scientific articles which contain the concept of bricolage in their titles, abstracts, and keywords. Collecting these articles involved searching through such bibliographic databases as Web of Science, Scopus, Wiley, and the Polish National Library Catalogue. The direction of the analysis was inductive and emergent, subordinated to such research issues as: 1. what meanings of bricolage emerge from its use in scientific research practice? 2. how researchers justify the possibility of using bricolage in the practice of social and humanistic research? 3. what theoretical concepts are responsible for creating its meaning? Answering these questions has led me to a reconstruction of three conceptions of bricolage: epistemological bricolage, methodological bricolage, and hybrid bricolage.

Opis:
Psychology is an intersubjectively communicable and global science, not a national one. However, it is not a universal science, since the knowledge accumulated in it is contextual knowledge, dependent on the social system and on culture. Therefore, the global character of psychology does not consist in discovering universal truths but, above all, in using methods that enable the replication of results in a given culture as well as universal, global access to them. Such access is possible thanks to the common language. Consequently, one of the important elements of science policy is ensuring that the knowledge accumulated by Polish psychologists is made available in congress languages, mainly in English. In Poland and in many other countries, support for English-language publication is strongly correlated with the parametrization of scientific output. Still, parametrization has its drawbacks. It promotes empirical and fragmentary studies and may decrease the standard and the number of theoretical ones. Different tools are therefore needed to make knowledge available worldwide: a change of publication policy is needed. The article concludes with two points that invite a debate on the mobility of academic staff and the structure of science in Poland.

Tekst obejmuje analizę i interpretację materiału zebranego w czasie badań ankietowych.
The article presents the results of research on the safety of students of Non-State Higher Pedagogical School in Bialystok (NWSP). The research included 80 students. The diagnostic survey method has been used in the research based on a questionnaire survey. The article covers an analysis and interpretation of the collected data.

This article refers to the issue of personal data processing conducted in connection with scientific research and in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation). It is not uncommon for the purposes of scientific research to process personal data, which is connected with the obligation to respect the rights of the data of the subjects involved. Entities conducting scientific research that process personal data for this purpose are required to apply the general regulation governing, among others, the obligations imposed on the controllers. The issue of personal data processing for scientific research purposes has also been regulated in national legislation in connection with the need to apply the General Data Protection Regulation. The article discusses the basics of the admissibility of data processing for the needs of scientific research; providing personal data regarding criminal convictions and offences extracted from public registers at the request of the entity conducting scientific research; exercising the rights of the data of the subjects concerned; as well as the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of data processing. In addition, the article discusses the issue of anonymization of personal data carried out after achieving the purpose of personal data processing, as well as the processing of special categories of personal data. The topics discussed in the article were not discussed in detail, as this would require further elaboration in a publication with a much wider volume range.

In the last few years, the newly opened Czech Arctic Scientific Infrastructure in Svalbard – Josef Svoboda Station – has closely collaborated with UiT – The Arctic University of Norway on very productive research related to climate change and the impact of the sea and land ice disappearance. Professor Josef Elster, the Head of the Czech station and a researcher in the diversity, ecology and ecophysiology of polar algae and cyanobacteria, and the glacial microbiologist Marie Šabacká and their team try to find the answer to questions concerning how the Arctic ecosystem responds to global warming and how global warming affects human activity. The results of their research can be used, for example, in the treatment and refinement of drinking and sewage water, the pharmaceutical industry and medicine, livestock nutrition including aquaculture and in the production of nutritional supplements for people. However, even the most exciting scientific information and results are not readily available to a non-professional audience. Interdisciplinarity and a suitable cultural framework can bring new life to the results of scientific research. If the presentation of science is interconnected with cultural disciplines such as literature, art, music or theatre, its account can be enriched and media interest can be increased. The scientific-cultural festivals AT HOME IN SVALBARD 2018 and ARCTIC FESTIVAL 2019 are just two good examples. The presentation of scientific research through culture is a very distinctive and innovative attempt. Moreover, the interest of the public can influence the stakeholders’ approach to providing and increasing finances for further scientific research.

Nowadays, computers are in common use, both in experimental and theoretical research. It is worth considering if the implementation of a new, universal research tool has significantly changed the science of the end of 20th century. The crucial question which I will try to answer is if computers have revolutionized the scientific research. In order to find the answer, I will describe modern digitally aided science, taking into consideration the research conducted in the greatest elementary physics laboratory. Subsequently, I will refer to the classic concept of scientific revolution proposed by Thomas S. Kuhn. Finally, I will answer the question related to digital revolution in science.
