Opis:
Countries can check the performance of their logistics’ activities to deter- mine their competitiveness in trade logistics. One way to check these performances is to analyze the country’s LPI value in detail which is released by the WB every two years. When calculating the LPI, six indicators (criteria) are taken into account. The weights (importance level) of these criteria are important for countries which would like to focus more on the most important criteria and move their ranking up in the LPI list. However the WB takes into account indicators (criteria) weights equally when calculating LPI values. In order to overcome this problem some studies have used sub- jective weighting methods and others have used objective weighting methods. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages. The aim of this study is to integrate two weighting methods (subjective (SWARA) and objective (CRITIC)) in determining the weights of criteria in order to balance the two weighting methods. Unlike other stud- ies in the literature this study combines two weighting methods. Additionally the PIV method, which is seldom used to address any MCDM problem, is used in this study and a new integrated MCDM model is introduced to literature. In this respect this study contributes to the literature.

Opis:
Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a non-traditional machining process widely used in manufacturing to create complex geometries on hard-to-machine materials. The tool material used in EDM plays a crucial role in determining the machining performance and final surface finish of the workpiece. In this research, we aimed to optimize the tool selection for creating circular holes on SG iron (grade 450/12) using EDM. To this end, we employed a step-wise weight assessment ratio analysis (SWARA) based combined compromise solution (CoCoSo) approach to evaluate the performance of different tool materials under various machining conditions. The machining conditions considered in this study included peak current (I), pulse-on time (Ton), and inter-electrode gap (IEG). The results of our study showed that the CoCoSo approach is an effective method for tool selection in EDM, and it can be used to identify the optimal tool material and machining conditions for creating circular holes on SG iron. The final appraisal scores obtained from the ranking of tool materials indicated that copper tools scored highest (2.4767, ranking 1), followed by copper tungsten (2.3615, ranking 2), while brass scored lowest (1.6606, ranking 3). Furthermore, Spearman's rank correlations for different integrated MCDM techniques were performed, which demonstrated the efficacy of this technique. It has been demonstrated that implementing the SWARA-CoCoSo method can effectively optimize the EDM process with regard to sustainable machining practices.

Opis:
The problem of selecting 3PL (Third Party Logistics) suppliers is a major issue in the management of the supply chain and the improvement of the production management of a manufacturing company. A 3PL supplier can be defined as a company that provides contract logistics services to a manufacturer, supplier or main user of a product or service. It is called a third party because the logistics provider does not own the products but participates in the supply chain between the manufacturer and the user of a given product. In actual cases, several decision-makers intervene in the selection of 3PL suppliers and each one has his own points of view and wishes to take into account criteria which are not generally the same for all the decision-makers. Furthermore, the criteria have different weights. In this study, we propose a method to solve this problem. It consists of a combination of the fuzzy Stepwise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) method with the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The objective is to optimize the decision-making process and have another, more dynamic model and satisfy the needs of the decision-maker. Fuzzy SWARA is one of the new methods being used for ranking evaluation criteria based on decision makers’ expected degree of importance to determine the weights of evaluation criteria (Selçuk, 2019). This method can be used to facilitate estimation of decision makers’ preferences regarding the meaning of attributes in the weight determination process. TOPSIS is a multi-criteria method for identifying solutions from a finite set of alternatives (Behzadian et al., 2012). To the best of our knowledge, this combination has not been developed in the literature, especially in the third-party logistic problems. The proposed model will be implemented to solve a 3PL problem of a company selling steel products.

Opis:
Supply chain management emerged as the ultimate management strategy to ensure the competitive advantages of companies in their markets. Suppliers are considered as inevitable sources of external risks in modern supply chains. In this respect, resonance is essential for the ability to adapt in resonance to disturbances and to restore in choosing suppliers. As suppliers of critical resources are vulnerable, choosing better suppliers to create resilience, and thereby reducing the risks in the supply chain as a whole. In recent years, emphasis has been placed on supply chain resilience and resilient suppliers, but few studies have been conducted on the evaluation and selection of resilient suppliers with multi-criteria decision making models. The main purposes of this study are a broad review of the literature on the resilient factor, factorization, efficiency of key factors in the reliance of suppliers and the ranking of resilient suppliers using the combined approach of SWARA and WASPAS. For this purpose, after a comprehensive review of Literature interview with the experts of petrochemical upstream industry, six key factors and overall resilience of suppliers were identified in eighteen factors. Then the weight of the dimensions was determined by using the SWARA method. The output of the method showed that supplier accountability and key performance factors were the most important factors in assessing the resilience of suppliers. Using the supporting method, five resilient suppliers were evaluated based on six dimensions and the final ranking of suppliers was determined. With this ranking, the industry will be a major step towards improving supply chain and increasing suppliers’ resilience to address disruptions and risks, improve supply and achieve competitive advantage and satisfy the consumers’ needs.

Opis:
Research background: The critical role of online games in e-commerce and the great competition among providers to enhance market share has significantly increased the need to use effective advertising patterns, techniques, and tools to attract users. There are two significant challenges to planning online media game selection. The first challenge is that there is no agreement on media selection criteria for online game advertising. The second challenge relates to the complexity of choosing advertising media. Purpose of the article: Given the multidimensionality and uncertainty in evaluating and selecting advertising media, especially in the case of online games, the need to provide a systematic framework for evaluating and selecting media is critical. Methods: The present study aims to provide a systematic framework based on multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) methods to evaluate and select the appropriate media for online game advertising. For this purpose, first, by reviewing the literature, a relatively comprehensive list of media selection criteria for online game advertising was extracted and then provided to experts in online game marketing and advertising in the fuzzy Delphi questionnaire. Then, based on their opinions, a localized decision model was obtained. Also, the Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) method helped to determine the criteria' importance. In the next step, a preliminary list of online game advertising media was prepared and evaluated by experts based on the criteria obtained in the previous step. Finally, the media was ranked using the Additive Ratio ASsessment (ARAS) method. Findings & value added: Awareness of the criteria affecting the selection of online game advertising media and having a systematic framework for applying these criteria in advertising media selection decisions play a vital role in practical decisions. This research addresses one of the main gaps in the field of study by proposing a quantitative methodology for integrating information based on the knowledge of experts in the decision-making processes select advertising media for online games. Most traditional media selection processes are based solely on experience and estimation, and in practice, they are unable to systematically prioritize the alternatives due to the multiplicity of media available and the complexity of the decision-making process Interval-valued triangular fuzzy numbers (IVTFNs) can address the shortcomings of previous research while considering the uncertainties in this decision-making process. The findings of this framework can be good support for e-commerce managers and online game advertising practitioners.

Opis:
Background: The fierce competitive advantage in the global market depends largely on the integration of all supply chain networks. This network facilitates the movement of information and materials through the suppliers and end customers with a focus on planning and managing. This integration can result in the meeting demands of customer orders being affected by the performance of the suppliers. As a result of this integration, it can be considered that the performance of the suppliers is important in fulfilling customer orders on time. Evaluating and selecting suppliers is greatly influencing the performance of the supply network. Methods: Selecting the proper supplier is a multi-criteria decision-making problem which includes both quantitative and qualitative criteria. A two-stage decision making method is proposed in the study under sustainability dimension. First, SWARA method is used to determine the relative importance of criteria and than WASPAS method is used to evaluate and rank the given alternatives. Results: A real-life case study is given for the selected approach. Also, sensitivity analysis is given. This selected alternative confirms the preferences of decision makers as it is a company that operates internationally and has a reputation and awareness in sustainability within its own country. Conclusions: Due to the increase in awareness on sustainability and the resulting regulations, the issue of sustainability in supply chains and sustainable supplier selection has become an important issue for companies. It is aimed to examine the supplier selection of a company in an electronics sector on a "sustainable" basis, considering from economic, environmental and social aspects. In this study, which was carried out to fill the literature gap identified in this field and to propose a systematic approach to sustainable supplier selection, a hybrid method which consists of both SWARA and WASPAS method have been used to evaluate the suppliers under the sustainability dimensions. With the help of a hybrid model, decision makers can manage conflict management of individual challenges using an analytical process.

Opis:
Wood plastic composite (WPC) is a lightweight material, resistant against corrosion and damage, with recyclability of consuming materials. These materials usually used in marine structures frequently due to their unique features. In order to strengthen beams made by this material, usually Fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) sheets are used, and one of the fracture modes in these beams is debonding of FRP sheet from the surface of the beams. To deal with this problem some grooves are used in the surface of the beam to improve the contact surface. The grooves include longitudinal, transverse and diagonal grooves. The main goal of this study is to assess different grooving methods in WPC-FRP beams. In this regard, primarily criteria (improving resistance, performance speed, performance complexity, performance costs, displacement and absorbing energy) were determined through interviews with experts in this field in order to assess the beams. Then, SWARA method employed to evaluate criteria with a policy based perspective and finally EDAS method applied for evaluating related alternatives. Based on obtained results, the longitudinal groove method is the best way of strengthening WPC beams to prevent debonding.
