    Artykuł prezentuje list ks. Szczepana Trochty, dyrektora domu salezjańskiego w Pradze, do Przełożonego Generalnego salezjanów ks. Piotra Ricardone w Turynie, wysłany po wyzwoleniu z KL Dachau. Ksiądz Trochta relacjonuje w nim swój trzyletni pobyt w niemieckich obozach zagłady, informuje przełożonego o losie innych salezjanów, którzy więzieni byli w KL Dachau. Ksiądz Szczepan Trochta w 1947 roku został mianowany biskupem litomierzyckim. W 1951 roku został przez władze komunistyczne internowany, a w 1953 roku skazany na 25 lat więzienia. W 1960 zwolniono go w wyniku amnestii. 24.IV.1969 roku został mianowany przez papieża Pawła VI kardynałem in pectore. Nominacja została ujawniona przez Stolicę Apostolską 5.III.1973 roku.
    The paper presents a letter of Fr. Szczepan Trochta, rector of the Salesian house in Prague to the Rector Major, Fr Pietro Ricardone, sent to Turin after the liberation of the concentration camp in Dachau. Fr. Trochta reports in the letter about his three years’ long imprisonment in German extermination camps, and informs also about the fate of other Salesians who were held in KL Dachau. Fr. Szczepan Trochta was appointed bishop of Litoměřice in 1947. He was interned by the communist government in 1951 and in 1953 sentenced to 25 years of imprisonment. In 1960, he was released under amnesty. On 24 April 1969, Trochta was appointed cardinal in pectore by Pope Paul VI. This nomination was by the Holy See on 5 March 1973.

Le copie delle lettre ho ricevuto dall’Archivio Generale di Roma, dall’Archivio Ispetoriale di Cracovia e Varsavia, dalla biblioteca di Lad (Acta Hlondiana), come anche da don Archimide Pianazzi dell’Archivio Arcivescovile di Shillog. Nel successivo articolo viene pubblicata la bibliografia delle lettere ancora non pubblicate alla famiglia, le lettere stampate nelle riveste cattoliche, come anche diverse testimonianze prese dai differenti fonti stampati su don Leon Piasecki. A tutti che mi hanno aiutato nella raccolta del materiale rivolgo un grazie sentito.

    The Sludge Treatment Plant (STP) in Surabaya produces solid waste in the form of sludge. The STP in Surabaya provides for Solid Separation Chamber (SSC), equalization unit, Oxidation Ditch (OD), final clarifier, distribution unit, polishing pond, sludge Drying Area (DA), Sludge Drying Bed (SDB), and reservoirs. Sludge waste generation is usually collected in DA and SDB units. This sludge is usually reprocessed for the recycling process, one of which is the waste to energy conversion with a thermochemical process. The difference between these two units is that DA is the sludge from preliminary treatment, while SDB is the sludge from secondary treatment, usually producing microbial biomass. This study aimed to evaluate the sludge produced by the two processing units as solid fuel. The water content of the DA sample is lower because the DA unit has mechanical processing, which separates solids from water. The results of the proximate test resulted in a significant difference between the SDB and DA units. The caloric value, water, ash, and fixed carbon values are significant (<0.05), while the volatile values differ for DA and SBD units. This shows that different treatment is needed for each unit to be appropriately processed as fuel.

    Professor Oskar Halecki is one of the best-known and respected Polish historians both in the country and abroad. During the interwar period he was one of the leading activists of Catholic organizations such as Catholic Academic Youth Association “Odrodzenie” (Revival), Catholic Writers Association, Association of Polish Catholic Intelligentsia,“Pax Romana”. This article presents the relations between professor Halecki and Cardinal August Hlond who at that time was the Primate of Poland. It was based on a questionnaire completed by Oskar Halecki in 1968 during the preparation for the beatification process of Primate Hlond. At present, this documentation can be found in the “Acta Hlondiana”, a collection prepared by Rev. Stanisław Kosiński SDB.

    Jednym z najważniejszych wydarzeń religijnych w powojennej Polsce były obchody Tysiąclecia Chrztu Polski. W polskim Kościele przygotowania do tego jubileuszu trwały dekadę. Program przygotowań odwoływał się do prawd wiary i nauki Kościoła, jak również do życia społecznego narodu polskiego. Towarzyszyły temu akcje duszpasterskie, które ożywiały pobożność Polaków. Zagrażało to laicyzacji prowadzonej przez władze komunistyczne i dlatego utrudniano przebieg dziesięcioletnich przygotowań do milenijnych uroczystości i nawet zorganizowano konkurencyjne obchody Tysiąclecia Państwa Polskiego. Jako przykład takiej działalności władz przedstawiono postać ks. Michała Winiarza SDB, proboszcza w Skrzatuszu.
    One of the most important religious events in post-war Poland was the celebration of the Millennium of the Baptism of Poland. In the Polish Church, preparations for this jubilee lasted a decade. The preparation program referred to the truths of faith and the teaching of the Church, as well as to the social life of the Polish nation. It was accompanied by pastoral campaigns that enlivened the piety of Poles. This threatened the secularization carried out by the communist authorities, and therefore the course of the ten-year preparations for the Millennium Celebrations was hindered, and even competitive celebrations of the Millennium of the Polish State were organized. As an example of such activity of the authorities, the figure of Fr. Michał Winiarz SDB, the parish priest in Skrzatusz.

    This article is an analysis of the research conducted by the late Prof. Józef Wilk SDB into the preventive system created by St. Don Bosco. Since he was a Salesian with an educational background in pastoral work and pedagogy, Fr. Wilk analyzed the preventive system in the context of these three areas. Hence, for Fr. Wilk, the preventive system was above all a Salesian heritage. For him, educational love constituted the essence of the preventive system and he considered remaining faithful to the youth as the actualization of the preventive system. He also regarded Salesian youth spirituality as a general proposal emanating from the preventive system.
