Nieprzestrzeganie podziemnego zarysu skrajni budowli przy projektowaniu i budowie linii kolejowej powoduje liczne niedogodności podczas późniejszej eksploatacji linii. Poważną konsekwencją są utrudnienia przy zmechanizowanym oczyszczaniu podsypki lub jej wymianie. Problem można częściowo rozwiązać stosując niekonwencjonalne metody wymiany podsypki. W referacie przedstawiono sposób zastosowany na linii metra 3 Vermelha w São Paulo w Brazylii.
Incompliance with underground structure gauge at design and construction of a railway track causes a multitude of inconveniences in the later exploatation. A major consequence is hindrance of mechanized ballast cleaning or exchange. This problem can be partially solved by using unconventional ballast exchange methods. The way of unconventional ballast exchange used at underground line 3 Vermelha in São Paulo, Brazil has been presented in the paper.

he Atlas Temático Observatório das Migrações em São Paulo – Migrações Internacionais (The-matic Atlas Migration Observatory in São Paulo – International Migrations), launched by the Center for Population Studies Elza Berquó, from State University of Campinas (Unicamp), ana-lyzes the social and demographic characteristics of international migration in Brazil, especially in the State of São Paulo, between 2000 and 2016. It provides information on the nature of mi-gratory flows to Brazil in the 21st century, such as the presence of black and indigenous interna-tional migrants, and the distribution of immigrants throughout the country. The Atlas provides subsidies for the development of public policies towards this population.

São Luiz do Paraitinga it is a city anchored on time, a unique register of São Paulo State about modern concepts reformulation, proposed by Marquês de Pombal in the 18th century for Portugal and its colonies. Isolated between mountain-chains with strategic position, it was built as a trading post to favour the gold and other products transportation to Portugal and also to increase Portuguese Empire control over the Brazilian goods production. It remains generally preserved due to its forgetfulness, after the favourable periods of the local economy, remaining static. But its heritage degradation and destruction was also due of forgetfulness and lack of protection of the Brazilian State. São Luiz do Paraitinga constructive process and culture of 18th century is a singular case that will be analysed in this paper, bringing evidences about the common people life in the Portuguese colony, and not only about State Rulers and great owners.
São Luiz do Paraitinga jest miastem zakotwiczonym w czasie, unikalnym rejestrem stanu São Paulo o nowoczesnych koncepcjach przeformułowania, zaproponowanych przez Marquês de Pombal w XVIII wieku dla Portugalii i jej kolonii. Miasto odizolowane, mieszczące się pomiędzy łańcuchami górskimi o strategicznym położeniu, zostało założone jako punkt handlowy dla ułatwienia transportu złota i innych produktów do Portugalii, a także zwiększenia kontroli Imperium Portugalskiego nad brazylijską produkcją towarów. Ogólnie jest zachowane ze względu na zapomnienie, po korzystnych okresach lokalnej gospodarki pozostaje statyczne. Jednak degradacja i zniszczenie dziedzictwa kulturowego nastąpiły również z powodu zapomnienia i braku ochrony ze strony państwa brazylijskiego. Proces budowlany i kultura São Luiz do Paraitinga w XVIII wieku jest szczególnym przypadkiem, który zostanie przeanalizowany w tym artykule, przedstawiając pozostałości po życiu zwykłych ludzi w kolonii portugalskiej, a nie tylko władców państwowych i wielkich właścicieli.

O objetivo dessa análise está centrado na busca de elementos do imaginário social que definem as identidades culturais nordestinas formadas e mantidas fora do nordeste, em especial em São Paulo, um dos maiores centros de concentração de migrantes, no qual a religiosidade, a festividade e as imagens simbólicas desse imaginário formam espaços e palcos privilegiados para processos simbólico-territoriais de regionalização a partir de práticas culturais e devocionais que viajaram pelo Brasil e se alocaram na maior cidade do país. Dessa forma, foram privilegiadas para análise e interpretação, as formas de concepção desses lugares, suas definições e contornos na (trans)formação dos traços da cultura nordestina incluindo sotaques, cores, sabores, memórias e religiosidade nas maiores concentrações de nordestinos fora do seu lugar de produção de sentido. A partir dessas referências e representações culturais foram vislumbradas suas principais relações e sentidos na construção do imaginário para a sociedade. Como metodologia privilegiou-se a análise de imagens de lugares de memória e territórios que contemplam experiências e memórias migrantes, além de revisão bibliográfica sobre a produção das identidades. Como resultados se esmeram reflexões sobre a ideia de manutenção das identidades migrantes em outras terras por meio do imaginário coletivo.
The objective of this analysis is centered on the search for elements of the social imaginary that define the northeastern cultural identities formed and maintained outside the northeast, especially in São Paulo, one of the largest centers of concentration of migrants, in which religiosity, festivity and symbolic images of this imaginary form privileged spaces and stages for symbolic-territorial processes of regionalization based on cultural and devotional practices that traveled through Brazil and moved to the largest city in the country. Thus, the ways of conceiving these places, their definitions, and contours in the (trans) formation of the traits of the Northeastern culture, including accents, colors, flavors, memories, and religiosity in the largest concentrations of Northeasterners outside of their own, were privileged for analysis and interpretation place of production of meaning. From these references and cultural representations, its main relationships and meanings were glimpsed in the construction of the imaginary for society. As a methodology, the analysis of images of places of memory and territories that contemplate migrant experiences and memories was privileged, in addition to a bibliographic review on the production of identities. As a result, reflections on the idea ofmaintaining migrant identities in other lands through collective imagery are painstaking.

Aim/purpose - Multiple factors affect a passenger's origin and destination airport choice. This study explores some of the leading indicators associated with performance in cities with more than one airport. Two important Multi-Airport Systems (MAS) in Brazil were the object of this study: São Paulo (Congonhas and Guarulhos) and Rio de Janeiro (Santos Dumont and Galeão), the most significant demand-generating centers in the country and the most critical distribution centers of flights from South America. Design/methodology/approach - Using public databases presenting the evolution of supply and demand from 2013 to 2018, the evolution of flights, and the sales by airlines in the same period, we estimated a linear model using panel data on a multiple linear regression with fixed effects. Findings - One of the results observed is that competition between airlines positively affects prices for consumers, the industry, and tourism, which is vital for the country. Research implications/limitations - The limitation of the findings is the lack of current data. Originality/value/contribution - In filling the gap in the literature on the evolution of supply and demand in the Brazilian aviation market, the study evaluates some of the leading indicators associated with performance in cities with more than one airport.

As migrações do povo nordestino formam no Brasil novos territórios culturais e reinventam seu patrimônio, levando alegorias e símbolos, ao congregarem diversos sentidos dados ao longo do tempo por inúmeras questões de “(re)invenção”. Os novos territórios culturais formados a partir da inserção dos sujeitos sociais em cidades metropolitanas como São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro vão escrevendo suas marcas e trajetórias, seja nos bairros, seja nos espaços por eles adaptados às suas representações e expressões culturais. Nesses processos migratórios percebem-se sentidos, signi-ficados e demais aspectos produzidos por uma “imagem” do nordestino alegoricamente represen-tado em conceitos e preconceitos ao longo das gerações ligadas a essas migrações. Assim, po-dem-se compreender, a partir dos mecanismos dessa criação e representação, as diversificadas identificações que contribuem para o entendimento do que é o território cultural e das identida-des especialmente permeado pela ideia de regionalização, criticada pela condensação já posta na história do Nordeste e pelo que ele representa. Como metodologia, buscam-se nos discursos pro-duzidos pelos sujeitos históricos, por meio da história oral, as diversas experiências que possam delimitar e definir as reinvenções e ressignificações da literatura de cordel relacionadas a seu pleito enquanto patrimônio imaterial nacional. Dos territórios e suas imagens nas cidades tenta-se apreender a sua legitimidade e a manutenção tanto referente ao imaginário popular como aos recantos nas cidades de São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro protagonistas desses sentidos do patrimônio migrante do cordel.
The migrations of Northeastern people form new cultural territories in Brazil and reinvent their heritage, using allegories and symbols, and combining their various meanings given over time by innumerable “(re)invention” questions. The new cultural territories formed from the insertion of social subjects in metropolitan cities such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are making their marks and trajectories, whether in the neighborhoods or in the territories they adapt to their rep-resentations and cultural expressions. In these migratory processes, we perceive meanings and other aspects produced by an "image" of the Northeastern, allegorically represented in concepts and preconceptions throughout the generations of these migrants. Thus, it is possible to under-stand, from the mechanisms of this creation and representation, the diversified identifications that corroborate the understanding of what is the cultural territory and identities, especially per-meated by the idea of regionalization, criticized by the condensation already posed in the history of the Northeast and what it represents. As a methodology, the paper utilizes discourses produced by historical subjects, through Oral History, the various experiences that can delimit and define the reinventions and re-significances of cordel literature together with their suit as a national in-tangible heritage. From the territories and their images in the cities, the paper tries to apprehend their legitimacy and maintenance, both with reference to popular imagination, and in the nooks and crannies of the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, protagonists of these meanings of the migrant cordel heritage.

W artykule opisano pożar budynku Wilton Paes de Almeida w maju 2018 roku w San Paulo. Oddany do użytku w 1966 roku budynek liczył 24 piętra. W wyniku zwarcia w jednym z mieszkań wybuchł pożar, który szybko zajął całą konstrukcję, doprowadzając do zawalenia budynku po 80 minutach. Opisano akcję ratunkową oraz wnioski po pożarze.

Santos Port is located in São Paulo State Coast (Brazil), in an estuarine area inside Santos Bay named Baixada Santista. The currents behavior is forced by tides. The resulting tidal level variability (high tide, mean sea level and low tide) recorded from Santos Dock Company tide gauge (1940 to 2014), the longest series of continuous record of tides in Brazil, shows a consistent increasing trend. The estimation about the magnitude of mean sea level rise (MSLR) in recommendations, guidelines or requirements issued by different countries and agencies from 1990 provide examples of different approaches used around the world in comparison with the local trends obtained for Santos Port. It is concluded that MSLR will have a considerable impact upon the port, with approximately 1.0 m rise estimated from 1990 to 2100. Baixada Santista is a lowland situated a few meters upper from the sea level and some areas are possible to be submerged in the end of this century. Other two locations in São Paulo State Coast, Cananeia and Ubatuba, respectively to the SE and NW of Santos, were also compared with the port tidal data to evaluate the consistency of the trends.

Santos Harbor Area (SHA) in Sao Paulo Coastline (Brazil) is the most important marine cargo transfer terminal in the Southern Hemisphere. A long term relative tidal level variability assessment shows a consistent response to relative sea level rise. A wave data base Wave Watch III was compared with a long term wave data-base generated by the ERA40-ECMWF (2003), both local validated. The current bed level of SHA Outer Channel is -15.00 m (Chart Datum or, in abbreviation, CD), maintained by dredging. According to the cargo throughput forecast, in 2025, the Access Channel will have to be deepened to level of -17.00 m. The feasibility of that choice is discussed from a technical, economical and conceptual navigation point of view in that context. A data set found from a scale model of the whole area of Santos Bay, Estuary and nearby beaches, showed the impact of maritime climate changes upon the coastal area. In the previous researches developed by the authors, it was demonstrated that the wave climate, the tides and tidal currents affect harbor and coastal structures maintenance, beaches stability, tidal inlet, sediment transport, saline intrusion and wetlands. Considering the increasing of the sea hazards and the high values of the infrastructures in that coastline, it is necessary to mitigate the risks. Hence, based on the results obtained by the authors, are highlighted guidelines strategies suggested for Access Channels dimensions, wharves free-board, jetties dimensions, dredging rates, rigid and flexible littoral defenses and land protection against flooding (including wetlands).
