    Opis:
    The parish in Kryniczno was handed to the Salesians of Środa Śląska on February 1, 1951 and remained in their possession until February 15, 1993, when the administration of the parish passed into the hands of the diocesan clergy. Parishioners took part in daily masses and worship. Parish choirs, altar boy communities and rosary circles were founded. Pilgrimages for youth to Częstochowa and trips to World Youth Day were organized. During their stay in the parish of Kryniczno, Salesians carried on renovations of sacred objects, commercial objects, and other inventory. They conducted the restoration of the rectory and the church; restored statues of saints and other equipment, and purchased necessary furnishings. The pastoral activity of the Salesian priests in Kryniczno concluded in 1993.

    Opis:
    The Catholicism in Sweden with all its rich historical and social structure is also constituted by the influence of the male orders on the spirituality, religiosity and everyday life of Christians in Sweden. These communities could not continue their activities after the Reformation. They returned, however, and came to life slowly and gradually, simultaneously with the advancing religious tolerance. As of today many orders in the Catholic Church are committed to social and pastoral challenges on Swedish soil, both in the catholic communities and in broader social circles. Their extensive past is closely bound with the difficult past of Catholicism in Sweden and the contemporary issues of postmodern society.

    Celem opracowania jest omówienie koncepcji restauracji ołtarza wielkiego w zespole oo. Bernardynów w Rzeszowie autorstwa krakowskiego architekta Zygmunta Hendla. Pogłębiona analiza konceptu konserwatorskiego z I dekady XX wieku przeprowadzona została w oparciu o dokumentację projektową pochodzącą ze zbiorów Muzeum Narodowego w Krakowie. Badania archiwalne i terenowe pozwoliły poszerzyć wiedzę, tak w zakresie historii omawianego zabytku, jak i historii konserwacji zabytków na ziemiach Galicji w okresie autonomii. Odnaleziona dokumentacja pozwoliła przybliżyć rozwiązania konserwatorskie przyjmowane w Galicji końcem XIX i początkiem XX wieku.
    The aim of the work is to discuss the concept of restoring the grand altar in the complex of Friars Minor of Observant in Rzeszów by the architect of Cracow Zygmunt Hendel. The in-depth characteristics of restoring projects from the first decade of the 19th century was performed on the basis of the project documentation coming from the resources of the National Museum in Cracow. Archive and field studies allowed to deepen knowledge of both the history of the discussed monument and the history and development of restoring monuments in the area of Galicia in the period of autonomy. The given documentation allowed to bring the assumed restoration solutions closer in Galicia at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

    Opis:
    Noble tombstones of the Renaissance era were distinguished by lavishly decorated forms and were a direct reflection of the complex processes of artistic style formation in the lands of the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and that are now Western Ukrainian territories. The tombstones combined features of the late Italian Renaissance, Dutch Mannerism and local traditions. This paper presents a study of the Renaissance allegorical sculpture of Generosity in the castle Church of the Holy Trinity in the city of Brzeżany (present-day Berezhany in Ukraine), which is an integral element of the architectural and sculptural composition of the pediment finish of the tombstone of A.H. Sieniawski and the work of an outstanding sculptor from the first half of the seventeenth century—Jan Pfister. The sculpture belongs not only to the artistic heritage of Ukraine, but also that of the entire world. Under the influence of mechanical and physical factors, the sculpture suffered significant damage and requires urgent restoration measures. An analysis of its current state is analyzed and priority restoration measures are proposed.
    Szlacheckie nagrobki epoki renesansu odznaczały się bogato zdobionymi formami były bezpośrednim odzwierciedleniem kształtowania się stylów artystycznych na ziemiach należących w XVI i XVII wieku do dawnej Rzeczpospolitej Obojga Narodów, a obecnie stanowią terytoria Zachodniej Ukrainy. Nagrobki te łączyły cechy późnego włoskiego renesansu, holenderskiego manieryzmu i lokalnych tradycji. Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje badanie renesansowej rzeźby alegorycznej przedstawiającej Szczodrość, zlokalizowanej w zamkowym Kościele Św. Trójcy w Brzeżanach, która stanowi integralny element architektonicznej i rzeźbiarskiej kompozycji tympanonu nagrobka A.H. Sieniawskiego i dzieło znakomitego rzeźbiarza z pierwszej połowy XVII wieku, Jana Pfistera. Rzeźba ta należy nie tylko do dziedzictwa artystycznego Ukrainy, ale także całego świata. Pod wpływem czynników mechanicznych i fizycznych, rzeźba uległa znacznemu uszkodzeniu i wymaga pilnych działań rewaloryzacyjnych. Przedstawiono analizę jej obecnego stanu i zaproponowano priorytetowe działania naprawcze.

    Opis:
    W artykule przedstawiono historię zespołu architektury drewnianej na wyspie Kizhi (Rosja). Rozpatrzono podstawowe cechy architektoniczne i konstrukcyjne cerkwi Preobrażenskiej (z 1714 r.) i Pokrowskiej (z 1764 r.) oraz dzwonnicy (z 1874 r.). Przeanalizowano wyniki głównych etapów prac konserwatorskich w cerkwiach Preobrażenskiej i Pokrowskiej. Dokonano analizy nowoczesnych metod rekonstrukcji, w tym „liftingu”.
    This paper deals with the history of the ensemble of wooden architecture on Kizhi Island (Russia). The main compositional features of the Transfiguration Church (1714), the Church of the Intercession (1764) and bell tower (1874) are under consideration. The results of the main stages of restoration works in the Transfiguration Church are shown. The analysis of the modern methods of reconstruction among then „lifting”, has been done.
