Opis:: Konieczne jest poznanie poglądów młodzieży na sprawy dotyczące religii, żeby opracować adekwatne duszpasterstwo. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono aktualne trendy w pomiarach religijności i postrzegania religii w społeczeństwie. Jednocześnie przedstawiono wyniki badań religijności przeprowadzone wśród młodzieży na Słowacji i w Holandii. Zaprezentowane analizy opierają się na danych ilościowych oraz na wynikach badań grup fokusowych w obu krajach. Oprócz oceny wybranych wskaźników, uzyskanych w badaniach, przedstawiono także pewne różnice w religijności młodzieży.
It is crucial to understand the religious ideas among youth, to set up the adequate pastoral practice. The study presents current trends in the measurement of religiosity and the perception of religion among public. At the same time, it deals with the research focused on the religiosity among youth in Slovakia and the Netherlands. The research is based on quantitative data and in the same time on result of focus groups in both countries. In addition to evaluation of selected indicators of the research sample, the study presents some differences in religiosity among youth.

To rozumienie wyznacza także paletę innych zagadnień, które zostały podjęte w tym artykule, takich jak kwestia pluralizmu moralnego w Polsce oraz społeczne nauczanie Kościoła katolickiego na temat pracy jak i stan jej recepcji.
The subject of the article is the presence of religious values in the ethos of work of Polish entrepreneurs. The article will use the results of sociological research of entrepreneurs, carried out by the Institute of Sociology of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw. The ethos definitions developed by M. Ossowska, A. Siciński, T. Szawiel were also used. The article discusses the subject of moral pluralism in Polish society and the social teaching of the Catholic Church about work.

The time of early education of a child in school is a time of intense intellectual and spiritual work. It carries a lot of changes in the child’s personal, family and school life. This article is giving the attention to the problem of values in the child’s life. It is also an attempt to answer the following questions: how does the time of early education introduce a child in early school age to the world of religious values, what is the role of the family and teachers during this period.

Opis:: W artykule zostały zaprezentowane wyniki badania pilotażowego przeprowadzonego pod koniec 2019 r. wśród Polaków mieszkających we Francji. Badanie dotyczyło kwestii łączności identyfikacji religijnej i narodowej wśród emigrantów z Polski oraz transmisji wartości kultury polskiej, wartości narodowych i religijnych przez polskie parafie. Niniejsza publikacja dotyczy natomiast fragmentu tych badań – poczucia przynależności narodowej, dumy oraz wstydu ze swego pochodzenia, przejawów patriotyzmu wśród badanych emigrantów polskich we Francji oraz odpowiedzi na pytanie, na ile polskie parafie we Francji podtrzymują w nich poczucie tożsamości narodowej i religijnej, a także jaki jest ich stosunek do tego przekazu realizowanego przez parafie. Wyniki wskazują na to, że przebadani polscy respondenci we Francji czują się Polakami, są dumni ze swej polskości, czynnie wyrażają swój patriotyzm, co jednak niekoniecznie łączy się np. wychowaniem dzieci w duchu katolickim. Są również odbiorcami przekazu wartości narodowo-patriotycznych, jaki dokonuje się za pośrednictwem parafii (np. udział w mszach w intencji ojczyzny), jednak są zdania, że to nie jest głównym zadaniem parafii na emigracji. Przeprowadzone badanie miało charakter pilotażowy, a zatem w artykule zaprezentowany jest również komentarz dotyczący poprawności sformułowanego narzędzia badawczego i procedury badawczej.
The article presents the results of a pilot study conducted at the end of 2019 among Poles living in France. The study concerned the issue of communication of religious and national identification among emigrants from Poland and the transmission of Polish culture, national and religious values by Polish parishes. This publication, however, concerns a fragment of this research – a sense of national belonging, pride and shame from its origin, manifestations of patriotism among the Polish emigrants surveyed in France and to what extent Polish parishes in France maintain their sense of national and religious identity, as well as their attitude to of this message carried out by parishes. The results indicate that the surveyed Polish respondents in France feel Poles, are proud of their Polishness, actively express their patriotism, which, however, is not necessarily connected, e.g., with raising children in the Catholic spirit. They are also recipients of the message of national-patriotic values that is carried out through the parish (e.g. participation in masses for the homeland), but they are of the opinion that this is not the parish's main task in exile. The study was of a pilot nature, so the article also presents a commentary on the correctness of the formulated research tool and research procedure.

Opis:: The paper presents preconditions of present social institutions in Ukraine in connection with the necessity to implement the idea of sustainable development. Similarity of basic religious norms with terms of sustainable development concept has been indicated. The role of religion as a social institution in spreading and implementation of the global idea of sustainable development in Ukraine has been substantiated. The necessity to introduce the religious and cultural values into systems of upbringing of people for support of the world community's sustainable development has been postulated.
W artykule omówiono uwarunkowania obecnych instytucji społecznych na Ukrainie w kontekście konieczności wprowadzenia idei zrównoważonego rozwoju. Wskazano na podobieństwo podstawowych norm religijnych z wytycznymi odnoszącymi się do zrównoważonego rozwoju. Udowodniono znaczącą rolę, jaką na Ukrainie mogą odegrać instytucje religijne i społeczne. Wrócono uwagę, na konieczność uwzględniania wartości religijnych i kulturowych w procesach edukacyjnych i wychowawczych, aby lepiej wspierać zrównoważony rozwój globalnej społeczności.

Opis:: W artykule podjęto refleksję na temat wartości religijnych i orientacji rytualnych współczesnej młodzieży, w kontekście ich wzajemnych związków i implikacji. W tym celu odwołano się do wybranych rezultatów autorskich badań empirycznych, przeprowadzonych pod koniec pierwszej dekady XXI wieku, wśród młodzieży maturalnej województwa świętokrzyskiego. Wartości religijne (sacrum) posiadają mniejsze znaczenie dla młodych, w porównaniu z innymi treściami aksjologicznymi (grupami wartości). Cechy „osobowości rytualnej” częściej przejawiają dziewczęta, osoby wierzące, głęboko wierzące i systematycznie praktykujące, pochodzące raczej z mniejszych środowisk lokalnych. Wydaje się, że zachodzące w Polsce przemiany cywilizacyjne osłabiają wpływ tradycyjnych instytucji socjalizacji religijnej, znacznie rzadziej wywołując pogłębienie zaangażowania kultowego w środowisku młodzieżowym. Niemniej, orientacje rytualne nabyte w okresie socjalizacji pierwotnej stanowią „pas transmisyjny” dla uczestniczenia w różnego typu rytuałach. Brak takich kompetencji utrudnia przeżywanie „tego, co niecodzienne”.
The article reflects upon the religious values and ritual orientations of the contemporary youth in the context of their mutual connections and implications. For this purpose, the results of the author´s empirical research conducted at the end of the first decade the 21st century among the high school seniors from the Świętokrzyskie region have been invoked. The religious values (sacrum) have less significance for young people in comparison with other axiological issues (the groups of values). The features of a “ritual personality” are more often displayed by the female students, believers and deep believers, those who systematically participate in religious practices, students coming from small local environments. It seems that the civilization transformations in Poland weaken the influence of traditional institutions of religious socialization. Moreover, the cult involvement in the youth environment rarely grows deeper. However, the ritual orientations acquired in the time of primary socialization constitute a “conveyor belt” for the participation in different types of rituals. The lack of such competence makes it difficult to experience the “unusual.”

It is established that the tendency to understand God as a merciful and doting mentor is related to the aspirations to order one’s life according not only to spiritual and moral values but also to pragmatic and egoistic values which help preserve one’s individu-ality, contribute to fi nancial growth and solving personal problems. Domination of nega-tive ideas about God are accompanied by the indifferent attitude of a person to the issue of sense and life orientations.

Opis:: The main subject covered in this paper is the coexistence of the religious experience of the Church and the experience of national community in the teaching of Joseph Ratzinger–Benedict XVI. The starting point is the understanding of experience in the writings of Joseph Ratzinger–Benedict XVI. In his view, experience manifests itself in three ways: through faith and liturgy, through testimony and through saints. This, in turn, translates to the national experience, which encompasses such areas as culture and academia, religious and universal values, natural law, family and education, and the principles of subsidiarity and solidarity in development and progress. The interdependence between the Church and the national community reflected in the works of Joseph Ratzinger–Benedict XVI highlights the need for these two institutions to work together towards the common good of those who constitute the Church and those who constitute the nation, regardless of their religious beliefs or political convictions. Throughout Cardinal Ratzinger’s teaching, one can observe that the religious experience of the Church provides a starting point for the national experience that manifests itself in the brotherhood of all people.
Głównym zagadnieniem artykułu jest współistnienie doświadczenia religijnego Kościoła i doświadczenia wspólnoty narodowej w nauczaniu Josepha Ratzingera-Benedykta XVI. Punkt wyjścia stanowi rozumienie doświadczenia w pismach Josepha Ratzingera-Benedykta XVI. Doświadczenie to przejawia się w na trzy sposoby wiara i liturgia; świadectwo oraz świeci. to z kolei przekłada się na doświadczenie narodowe, które obejmuje następujące zagadnienia: kulturę i uniwersytet; wartości religijne i uniwersalne; prawo naturalne; rodzinę i wychowanie; oraz na zasadę pomocniczości i solidarności w rozwoju i postępie. Współzależność Kościoła jak i wspólnoty narodowej w nauczaniu Josepha Ratzingera-Benedykta XVI kładą nacisk na współpracę tych dwóch instytucji w dziedzinie dobra wspólnego tych, którzy tworzą Kościół oraz tych którzy tworzą naród nie zależnie od wyznawanej religii czy przekonań politycznych. W nauczaniu kard. Ratzingera, papieża Benedykta XVI widać, że doświadczenie religijne Kościoła stanowi punkt wyjścia dla doświadczenia narodowego, które widać we wspólnym braterstwie ludzi.

Opis:: Contemporary dimension of religious, socio-cultural situation in Europe implies the need for the positive perception of the persons of different faiths. The perception of the religious otherness as a value may (through mutual exchange and synthesis of spiritual values intrinsic for whole Christian community and encounter with positive values of other religions) enrich religious identity with the aspect of openness.Young people tirelessly search for their own identity and, thus, confirm the need for religious education which enhances the formation of religious identity. Tasks of school religious education in the context of forming the open religious identity comprise both acquiring knowledge about one’s own religion and church, religious formation and also the knowledge about religious pluralism; the perception of the religiously other as the value; reflexive approach to religious questions and the development of positive attitudes toward the religious otherness. The author attempts to find the answer to the question whether and to what extent the religious education enhances the creation of open religious identity of young people.
Współczesny wymiar religijny rzeczywistości społeczno-kulturowej Europy implikuje potrzebę pozytywnego postrzegania osób/grup odmiennych religijnie. Postrzeganie Inności religijnej jako wartości może – poprzez wzajemną wymianę i scalanie wartości duchowych będących wspólnym dobrem chrześcijaństwa, a w kontekście różnych religii poprzez mediację między wartościami chrześcijańskimi i pozytywnymi wartościami innych religii – wzbogacać tożsamość religijną o aspekt otwartości.Młodzi ludzie usilnie poszukują własnej tożsamości, stąd edukacja religijna młodzieży powinna stymulować kształtowanie tożsamości religijnej. Zadania edukacji religijnej w kontekście kształtowania otwartej tożsamości religijnej obejmują zarówno nabywanie wiedzy o własnej religii i Kościele, formację religijną, jak i wiedzę na temat pluralizmu religijnego, postrzeganie zróżnicowania religijnego jako wartości, refleksyjne podejście do kwestii religijnych i rozwijanie pozytywnych postaw wobec Inności religijnej. Autorka stawia pytanie: czy i w jakim stopniu szkolna edukacja religijna wspomaga kształtowanie otwartej tożsamości religijnej młodzieży.

Opis:: A person is responsible for the implementation of values and at the same time is responsible for treating himself/herself as a value. A human person is capable of self-determination, because s/he can act deliberately. Through self-reflection, a person can choose a course of action for himself/herself and assert “inner self” to the outside world through their choices. The person is also responsible to himself/herself for self-fulfillment. It’s the fulfillment of a person that leads to happiness, which consists in the realization of freedom by choosing the truth. It is associated with the relationship to other people and to God. In this article, the issue of religious education in the family, with special attention to Christian values, as the foundation of education has been presented. Firstly, the author highlights the most significant values in religious education, which is freedom of the person, love, responsibility, and then he shows the role of values in the transmission of content: salvation, Jesus Christ, the Church and Mary.
