    The article presents the main ideas of the Lutheran Reformation. The Author asks about the “Luther Effect” – the sustained influence of the protestant theology on the European culture and civilisation. The text tries to describe a problem of Luther's way and Luther's will.The reason of Luther`s writing of 95 Thesis in 1517 was that indulgence preachers had appeared in the vicinity of Wittenberg. After many events and coincidences the Reformation becomes a religious and political movement. The analysis describes following subjects: Luther's family life, the understanding of the Reformation Church, the role of the Reformation Cities and political significance of the Reformation Dukes. There is a conclusion at the end of the article that Luther changed the world and that`s why in 2017, the Protestant church is celebrating the 500th anniversary of Luther’s 95 theses.

W ciągu 500 lat od pamiętnego wystąpienia Ojca Reformacji, które zapoczątkowało ruch „reformy protestanckiej”, co najmniej każde kolejne sto lat obchodzone było jako szczególne upamiętnienie tego faktu, który zmienił bieg historii Europy i świata oraz wstrząsnął chrześcijaństwem. Poszczególne, okrągłe rocznice Reformacji należy więc rozpatrywać w odniesieniu do ówczesnej sytuacji społeczno-politycznej w Europie, a zwłaszcza w Niemczech. Nie mniej ważne jest zwrócenie uwagi na postać założyciela Kościoła reformowanego, na którym skupiała się zawsze, również dziś, idea świętowania rocznicy Reformacji. W powyższym artykule przedstawia się główne wątki z życia Marcina Lutra w kontekście jego reformy chrześcijaństwa oraz zasadnicze idee przewodnie jego myśli. Następnie analizuje się rozwój Reformacji, rozumiany jako pogłębienie doktryny i ustabilizowanie się praktyki, w latach po śmierci założyciela ruchu reformatorskiego. Na tym tle przedstawia się kolejne rocznice reformy protestanckiej w odniesieniu do sytuacji religijnej i politycznej w Europie i na świecie ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ostatniej rocznicy 500-lecia Reformacji i jej postrzegania zarówno w Kościołach protestanckich, jak i w Kościele katolickim w kontekście rozwoju ruchu ekumenicznego. Niniejszy artykuł zredagowany z okazji 500-lecia Reformacji koncentruje się wokół kolejnych setnych rocznic tego wydarzenia i ich obchodów w danym kontekście historycznym i w odniesieniu do postrzegania osoby Marcina Lutra. W ciągu 500 lat od pamiętnego wystąpienia Ojca Reformacji, które zapoczątkowało ruch „reformy protestanckiej”, co najmniej każde kolejne sto lat obchodzone było jako szczególne upamiętnienie tego faktu, który zmienił bieg historii Europy i świata oraz wstrząsnął chrześcijaństwem. Poszczególne, okrągłe rocznice Reformacji należy więc rozpatrywać w odniesieniu do ówczesnej sytuacji społeczno-politycznej w Europie, a zwłaszcza w Niemczech. Nie mniej ważne jest zwrócenie uwagi na postać założyciela Kościoła reformowanego, na którym skupiała się zawsze, również dziś, idea świętowania rocznicy Reformacji. W powyższym artykule przedstawia się główne wątki z życia Marcina Lutra w kontekście jego reformy chrześcijaństwa oraz zasadnicze idee przewodnie jego myśli. Następnie analizuje się rozwój Reformacji, rozumiany jako pogłębienie doktryny i ustabilizowanie się praktyki, w latach po śmierci założyciela ruchu reformatorskiego. Na tym tle przedstawia się kolejne rocznice reformy protestanckiej w odniesieniu do sytuacji religijnej i politycznej w Europie i na świecie ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ostatniej rocznicy 500-lecia Reformacji i jej postrzegania zarówno w Kościołach protestanckich, jak i w Kościele katolickim w kontekście rozwoju ruchu ekumenicznego.
    This article, written on the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, focuses on the subsequent 100th anniversary of this event and the celebrations in a given historical context and in relation to the perception of the person of Martin Luther. Within 500 years of the memorable speech of the Reformation Father, which initiated the "Protestant reform" movement, at least every consecutive hundred years was celebrated as a special commemoration of this fact, which changed the course of European and World history and moved deeply into Christianity. The individual anniversary of the Reformation should therefore be considered in relation to social and political situation in Europe of that time, especially in Germany. It is no less important to draw attention to the figure of the founder of the Reformed Church, which has always focused, even today, on the celebration of the anniversary of the Reformation. The article presents the main themes of Martin Luther's life in the context of his reform of Christianity and the basic ideas guiding his thoughts. Then, the development of the Reformation is analyzed, understood as the deepening of doctrine and the stabilization of practice, in the years after the death of the founder of the reform movement. Against this background, successive anniversaries of the Protestant reform are presented with regard to the religious and political situation in Europe and in the world, with particular emphasis on the last anniversary i.e. 500th anniversary of the Reformation and its perception in Protestant Churches as well as in the Catholic Church in the context of the development of the ecumenical movement.
    Der vorliegende Artikel wurde anlässlich des 500 jährigen Jubiläums der Reformation verfasst und kreist um ihre konsekutiven hundertjährigen Jahrestage sowie um ihre Begehen im jeweiligen historischen Kontext in Bezug auf die Wahrnehmung der Person Martin Luthers herum. In den 500 Jahren seit dem denkwürdigen Auftreten des Vaters der Reformation, welches die Bewegung der „protestantischen Reform“ angefangen hat, wenigstens jedes hundertjähriges Jubiläum wurde als ein besonderes Andenken dieses Ereignisses begangen, das den Lauf der Geschichte Europas und der Welt veränderte und das Christentum erschütterte. Konsekutive, runde Jahrestage der Reformation muss man im Kontext der damaligen gesellschafts-politischen Situation in Europa und vor allem in Deutschland betrachten. Nicht weniger wichtig ist auch die Beachtung der Gestalt des Gründers der reformatorischen Kirche selbst, auf dem immer, auch heute, die Idee des Feierns von Jahrestagen der Reformation konzentriert war. Im vorliegenden Artikel werden die wichtigsten Fakten aus dem Leben Martin Luthers im Kontext seiner Reform des Christentums sowie der Leitideen seines Gedankenguts dargestellt. Danach wird die Entwicklung der Reformation analysiert, verstanden als eine Vertiefung der Doktrin und eine Stabilisierung der Praxis in den Jahren nach dem Tod des Gründers der protestantischen Bewegung. Auf diesem Hintergrund werden die konsekutiven Jahrestage der protestantischen Reform in Verbindung mit der religiösen und politischen Situation in Europa und in der Welt dargestellt. Eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird auf das 500jährige Jubiläum und seine Wahrnehmung sowohl in den protestantischen Kirchen, als auch in der katholischen Kirche im Kontext der ökumenischen Bewegung gelegt.

    W artykule omówiono przebieg uroczystych obchodów setnej rocznicy wystąpienia Marcina Lutra w księstwie szczecińskim, które zostały przygotowane w związku z ogłoszonym przez księcia Filipa II zarządzeniem w tej sprawie z 22 września 1617 roku. Jubileusz był obchodzony przez kilka dni jako święto religijne (30.10.–2.11.), a także w formie spotkań i odczytów literackich (3–5.11.). Autorami okolicznościowych utworów przygotowanych na obchody była kadra Pedagogium Książęcego (Christoph Hunichius, Heinrich Kielmann, Caspar Kholl) oraz inni nauczyciele działający w księstwie (Caspar Paffius, Philipp Horst, Gregor Frideborn), a także inne osoby, które na tyle sprawnie władały piórem, że mogły odpowiedzieć na wezwanie księcia (Daniel Cramer, Philipp Pitzan). Artykuł omawia zachowane publikacje jubileuszowe i wskazuje na rolę księcia Filipa II jako animatora życia literackiego w księstwie szczecińskim.
    The article presents the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the speech of Martin Luther in the Duchy of Stettin; the event was organised by virtue of the edict signed on September 22nd, 1617 by Duke Philip II. The jubilee was celebrated for several days, first as religious holidays (October 30th – November 2nd) and later in the form of literary meetings and lectures (November 3–5). The authors of the texts were members of the Ducal Paedagogium Stettin (Christoph Hunichius, Heinrich Kielmann, Caspar Kholl) and other teachers who worked in the Duchy (Caspar Paffius, Philipp Horst, Gregor Frideborn), as well as other people who were skillful enough to write something in response to the Duke’s appeal (Daniel Cramer, Philipp Pitzan). The article presents the survived jubilee publications and emphasises the role of Duke Philip II as an animateur of literary life in the Stettin/Szczecin Duchy

    On June 17th 2013 in Geneva and Vatican City a common declaration from Roman-Catholic and Protestant theologians was issued. The document is entitled: From Conflict to Communion. Lutheran-Catholic Common Commemoration of the Reformation in 2017. Its main aim was a through and direct preparation of both the Lutherans and Catholics to the common commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. The message of the declaration became an inspiration of this study. We do not want to focus on its detailed discussion but to formulate – based on this message – some essential paradigms determining the goal, circumstances, tasks and perspectives linked with the common commemoration of the Anniversary. Among those we should acknowledge: the critical evaluation of the past, based on respect and deprived of mutual prejudices; opening for the mutual exchange of spiritual gifts; the “cleaning of memory” and “healing of wounds”; readiness for taking up the mutual tasks. The authors of the document, based on those paradigms, elaborated five ecumenical imperatives determining the character of the commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation and the ecumenical obligations of both sides of the dialogue.
    17 czerwca 2013 r. w Genewie i w Watykanie ogłoszono wspólny dokument teologów rzymskokatolickich i luterańskich pt.: Od konfliktu do komunii. Luterańsko-katolickie wspólne upamiętnienie Reformacji w 2017 r. Jego celem było głębsze, bezpośrednie przygotowanie luteranów i katolików do wspólnego upamiętnienia 500. rocznicy Reformacji. Przesłanie deklaracji stało się inspiracją dla przygotowania niniejszego opracowania. Nie chodzi w nim o szczegółowe omawianie dokumentu, ale przede wszystkim o sformułowanie, w oparciu o jego przesłanie, istotnych paradygmatów określających cel, okoliczności, zadania i perspektywy związane ze wspólnym obchodzeniem przez luteranów i katolików 500-lecia Reformacji. Za takie należy uznać: krytyczną ocenę przeszłości opartą na szacunku i pozbawioną uprzedzeń, otwartość na wzajemną wymianę duchowych darów, „oczyszczenie pamięci” i „leczenie ran” oraz otwartość na wspólne podejmowanie zadań. W oparciu o tak sformułowane paradygmaty autorzy dokumentu Od konfliktu do komunii wypracowali pięć ekumenicznych imperatywów określających charakter wspólnego upamiętniania 500. rocznicy Reformacji oraz ekumeniczne zobowiązania obydwu stron dialogu.
