    Opis:
    Purpose: The subject of interest of this article is reengineering and restructuring. The purpose of the article is to answer the question: is remedial restructuring carried out using reengineering methods more efficient, i.e. is a greater percentage of the assumed restructuring goals achieved in a given unit of time than in a project carried out without using this method? Design/methodology/approach: The process of restructuring management described in the article is supported by a case study of a company dealing with production of pumps. The case study shows how effective the reengineering method is for managing corrective change. The restructuring project described in the article was aimed at eliminating unproductive processes in the company, and then leading to the development of the company by conducting organizational changes and radical rebuilding of the company's business processes. Findings: Conclusions from the case study analysis provide clear evidence that remedial restructuring using reengineering is much more efficient than in a traditional project. Originality/value: The article supplements knowledge in the field of change management. The conclusions presented in it regarding the usefulness of the reengineering method when conducting remedial processes in enterprises can be used by change managers as an indication to successfully carry out restructuring implementations.

    The aim of this paper is to present the case study of business processes reengineering (BPR). Important part of the change was the logistic process. At the beginning, the literature review on process approach and BPR was presented. Next a BPR methodology was shown. The case study of the implemented BPR change consists of three parts. In the first part, the company’s standing before the change was characterised. Next, the methodology of the project, based on the BPR approach, was defined. In the third part, the results of the BPR change were depicted. The article ends up with general conclusions.
    Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie studium przypadku reengineeringu procesów biznesowych (ang. Business Process Reengineering, BPR). Ważną częścią zmian był reengineering procesu logistycznego. W artykule przedstawiono przegląd literatury w zakresie podejścia procesowego i reengineeringu procesów biznesowych. Dokonano przeglądu metodyk BPR. Prezentowane studium przypadku składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej części scharakteryzowano stan przedsiębiorstwa przed zmianą. Następnie zdefiniowano metodykę zmiany bazując na podejściu BPR. W części trzeciej przedstawiono rezultaty zmiany. Artykuł wieńczą konkluzje.

    The aim of this paper is to present the method of reengineering of business processes that perform engineer-to-order production in a manufacturing company. The base of the method is a strategy of the company that applies Balanced Scorecard technique. The reengineering of critical business processes in the enterprise is assigned to the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning system. The method facilitates the quantitative evaluation of business process improvements in the enterprise and the support for assigning the Total Cost of Ownership of the ERP system.

Scharakteryzowano istotę podejścia procesowego w przedsiębiorstwie oraz najważniejsze pojęcia związane z reengineeringiem procesów. Zaproponowano model reorientacji przedsiębiorstwa górniczego w kierunku organizacji procesowej.
    The article presents the proposal to use process reengineering as an opportunity for reorganization of mining companies. In the paper the essence of the process approach in the enterprise is characterized as well as the most important concepts related to process reengineering. Model of mining company reorientation in the direction of the process organization is presented.

    Dynamically changing environment, progressive globalization, increasing competition and crisis risk require the development, improvement and implementation of innovative management systems. The challenge is to carefully select and implement a management concept that is closely linked to the company's tradition, the current state of the enterprise, and the external factors of the system environment. Business Process Reengineering is a method of fundamentally transforming an enterprise's processes to improve its operation. The article discusses the concept of reengineering and describes the implementation of this method for the packaging of finished products.

    The goal – of the paper is to analyze the opportunities and risks of outsourcing in the implementation of administrative and managerial processes by local authorities of Ukraine. The analysis includes a set of guidelines for improving outsourcing at the local governmental level. Research methodology – in the paper, an analysis of regulatory documents, reports of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, the outcomes of projects for the implementation of outsourcing in local governments, and an expert survey were used. Score/results – the problems in organizing outsourcing in local governments of Ukraine are identified. The recommendations for solving those problems are developed. Originality/value – the paper is done by the authors independently without any help and assistance of others. The paper provides links to researches, as well as links to legislation. The nature of the paper is a review report.

    As part of the solution of problem optimization of large-scale facilities carried out formalization of the system description of large-scale monitoring, defined the composition and the relationship subsets of elements, relationships, topologies and properties. Formulated the mathematical model and the task of reengineering topological structures of centralized three-tier system of largescale monitoring based on indices of cost and efficiency. The proposed mathematical model explicitly set relations between costs for the reengineering and time processing messages in the system from its structure and topology. The analysis of the objective function revealed that envelopes their local extrema are one-extreme (relative to the number of nodes in the system). Considering this, proposed a method of directed inspection of local extrema, which allow to find best solutions in terms of the minimum additional cost. Selection of the single solution from a set of effective proposed to carry out the method of hierarchy analysis or cardinalist approach aided by the additive function of general utility. The values of the weighting coefficients of the utility functions is carried out by an expert or based on comparator identification. Practical application these results allows reduce the time of obtaining solutions and more accurate solving of large dimension problem.

    The analysis of system factors determining the efficiency of large-scale objects is performed. Structural description and purposes of large-scale objects constructing are formalized. A three-level decomposition scheme for the problem of objects system optimization including the set of tasks for their system design, planning of development, adaptation and reengineering is proposed. The composition and the scheme of relationship on input and output data of the tasks between main stages of large-scale objects system optimization are determined. Based on the decomposition of the problem, its systemological analysis was carried out. This allowed to develop a technology for system optimization of large-scale objects, taking into account the relationship between the whole set of problem-related tasks.

    Increase of automation and autonomy of production is the latest trend incorporated into Industry 4.0 objectives. Production autonomy is very desirable in the field of damaged parts replacement. To fulfill this goal numerous reverse engineering systems have been developed that support geometry recognition from the 3D scan data. This study is focused on converting non-parametric geometry representation of shaft-type elements into a CAD model with a rebuilt feature tree. Algorithms are based on the analysis of parallel cross-sections. The proposed system is also capable of identification of additional geometric features typical for 2.5 axes milling such as pockets, islands and outer walls. The proposed algorithms are optimized to increase efficiency of the process. Initial identification parameters are selected with respect to defined criteria, e.g., identification accuracy, computing power and scanning accuracy. Described algorithms can be implemented in reverse engineering systems.

    Opis:
    In this paper a technique for decision support for selecting a physical configuration are presented. This technique is useful during the redesign of a proposed restructuring of production processes resulted in a BPR approach. Based on the use of simulation and from the traditional experimental designs. It involves assessing the ability of the said configuration to cope with external and internal changes it faced. Our evaluation process is essentially based on the criterion of flexibility, this perverse concept and the ability of the configuration to accommodate the possible future directions for the installation of one or more measures of progress. Our work is illustrated by a case study.
    W artykule przedstawiono techniki wspomagania decyzji wyboru fizycznej konfiguracji. Przedstawiona technika jest przydatna w trakcie przebudowy planowanej restrukturyzacji procesów produkcyjnych co odzwierciedla podejście BPR, opierające się na korzystaniu z symulacji i tradycyjnych wzorów doświadczalnych. Technika polega ona ocenie zdolności tej konfiguracji do radzenia sobie z wewnętrznymi i zewnętrznymi zmianami. Proces oceny opiera się głównie na kryterium elastyczności, koncepcja ta jest przewrotna i daje możliwości konfiguracji w celu uwzględnienia możliwych przyszłych kierunków w zakresie instalacji jednego lub więcej środków postępu. Praca ilustruje studium przypadku.

    Problemem przedstawionym w opracowaniu jest zagadnienie zmiany w kierunku centralnej realizacji zadań i funkcji w przedsiębiorstwie świadczącym usługi budowy, konfiguracji oraz utrzymania sieci telekomunikacyjnej. Celem pracy jest ocena wpływu centralizacji na wybrane mierniki podstawowych procesów organizacji usługowej. W konsekwencji na podstawie analizy zebranych wyników już na początku zmiany możliwa będzie techniczna reorganizacja procesów. Oceny wpływu centralizacji na kluczowe obszary działalności organizacji dokonano przez analizę porównawczą podstawowych mierników dla okresów przed i po tej zmianie. Do dogłębnego poznania działania oraz wykonania procesów wykorzystano studium przypadku.
    The problem presented in the study is the aspect of moving towards centralization of the functions and tasks of a company providing implementing, configuration and maintenance services of a telecom network. The aim of the study is the evaluation of the impact of centralization on selected factors of basic processes in a service company. Based on the analysis of the results of this evaluation, there will be possibility of reengineering processes within the company at the very beginning of implementing the changes. The evaluation of the impact of centralization on key business areas of the company is done by comparative analysis of the basic indicators before and after implementing the changes. For the in depth cognition and modelling of the processes a case study is adopted.

    This article discusses the processes of current re-engineering of the Georgian Railway. Georgian Railway was founded in 1865 and its operations started in 1871. It sits on the shortest route between Europe and Central Asia. When we analyze the re-engineering issues of a particular country, we conclude that there is no general recipe on the process of re-engineering in the railway of any country. Decisions which were made in different countries, despite the fact that the approaches to the process of re-engineering were different, the world experience has demonstrated some similar actions that are common for these processes. I would like to present the recommendations and approaches which show the common actions that are useful for all railway administration. The article is built on theoretical and practical issues that will help us to learn about the project management of re-engineering and give an idea how to use it in our future career.

    In ancient times work was perceived negatively and performed mainly by slaves. At least since the industrial revolution work is desirable, and its absence excludes from full participation in society. It is claimed, that due to technology, many professions will be pushed out of the job market. That is why we need a discussion on a new project of socio-economic development, from which work is not eliminated.
    W czasach antycznych praca była postrzegana negatywnie i wykonywana głównie przez niewolników. Nie była ona przywilejem, a przykrym obowiązkiem. Przynajmniej od czasów rewolucji przemysłowej praca jest pożądana, a jej brak wyklucza z pełnego uczestnictwa w życiu społecznym. Wszystkiemu winien jest rozwój technologii, która wypiera z rynku pracy nie tylko pracowników fizycznych, ale przede wszystkim umysłowych.

Ta determinująca cecha oferowanych produktów sprawia, że optymalizacja funkcjonowania łańcucha dostaw, a w szczególności procesów dystrybucyjnych, wymaga przede wszystkim skrócenia czasu realizacji dostaw od producenta do finalnego odbiorcy. W rozwiązaniu zastosowano proste, a zarazem skuteczne metody optymalizacyjne w celu podniesienia efektywności tego procesu, oparte na systemie klasy Just in Time, przeładunku kompletacyjnym cross dock i metodzie komiwojażera. Efektem wprowadzonego rozwiązania jest znaczne skrócenie czasu realizacji zamówień, a co za tym idzie — wzrost zadowolenia klientów. Uzyskano także zmniejszenie zapotrzebowania ma powierzchnię magazynową, wyeliminowanie konieczności utrzymywania zapasów, optymalizację tras przewozu, co doprowadziło do znacznego obniżenia kosztów prowadzonej działalności i zwiększenie jej efektywności.
    Solution presented in this article is dedicated to distribution companies, that prioritize fast and efficient supply of products with limited shelf life without losing or lowering their quality. This determining feature of offered products, makes shortening of delivery time from producent to customer the key of supply chain optimization. This solution uses simple and effective optimization methods that are able to make the whole process more effective. These methods are based on class system ‘Just in Time’, cross docking and canvasser method. Implementation of presented solution results both in shortening the time of execution of the order and growth of customers satisfaction. Reduction of storage space demand, elimination of necessity to hold reserves and optimization of cargo routes were also the results of presented solution. All these changes lowered expenses of the company and made it more effective.

    This article presents a broad perspective on a maritime car terminal’s role in finished vehicle logistics with an aim to elaborate the process when a terminal changes its role from an inbound intermodal node to an outbound intermodal platform. Through the analysis of the maritime car terminal in Koper that occupies the 9th position among top European ports in handling light vehicles, a comprehensive view of process re-engineering is provided. The research analyses specific inbound and outbound processes and real-time decisions that influence the terminal’s productivity and satisfies stakeholders’ business expectations. The proposed business process re-engineering (BPR) model for an outbound car terminal highlights the directions of future management decisions to position the terminal as an export oriented intermodal node. The article offers a theoretical and practical contribution to efficient FVL management.

Podstawy koncepcji społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu, w której kładzie się nacisk na niewielkie zużycie energii na korzyść czystej produkcji, niwelowanie emisji zanieczyszczeń podczas produkcji, magazynowania i transportu, mogą przekładać się na obniżanie kosztów, a tym samym poprawę pozycji konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstwa. Celem artykułu jest analiza zjawiska koincydencji koncepcji CSR w procesie reorganizacji łańcuchów logistycznych.
    Enterprises are beginning to promote ecological logistics seeing such an action a chance to build a good relationship with the client. Additionally the system of product distribution, in which company participates trying to fund a solution to better suplly chain integration. It is necessary to optimization costs. Fundamentals of corporate social responsibility concept, in which the focus is on low energy consumption in favor of clean production, eliminating emissions during production, storage and transport which reduce of costs incurred by the producer, improving the company's competitive position and build long lasting relationship with customers. The purpose of this article is analysis of the situation coincidence CSR concept in the reorganization supply chain process.

    The current competitive environment is only favourable to those companies that can cope with changes and use them to their advantage. The innovation of business processes is required to improve financial performance. Scientific works have not yet offered an effective solution to the monitoring of the impact made by process reengineering on corporate financial results. This work presents the case of a business process reengineering in a particular company to improve its performance. The results of implemented reengineering are analysed from the point of view of the impact made on the financial situation of the company. The paper aims to demonstrate the implementation of reengineering and evaluate its impact on the financial standing of a company and its performance. The practical application of reengineering was made according to Hammer and Champy methodology, which is based on the analysis of production processes in the company, the implementation of selected reengineered production processes and the evaluation of the reengineering impact on the corporate financial situation and performance. During the evaluation, the selected indicators of financial performance, activity indicators, the indebtedness indicator, business performance indicators as a cash flow to measure financial flows and the economic value-added (indicator EVA) were calculated and analysed. Subsequent to financial analyses and based on the selected indicators, the authors concluded that the implemented reengineering of the production process increased the performance and value of the company, which had a positive impact on the company’s financial situation. The funds spent on the proper implementation of the reengineering steps were effectively used, and the reengineering process was also timed. This contribution to the body of theoretic knowledge links the implementation of reengineering and the part of the financial analysis, which is related to the preparation, implementation and reengineering results.

    Мета роботи – скласти перелік найбільш важливих вимог і можливостей інновації процесів шляхом дослідження та аналізу основних і найновіших наукових розробок, пов'язаних з її вивченням. Дизайн/Метод/Підхід дослідження – системний огляд літератури. Результати і теоретичне значення дослідження. Шляхом викладення вимог і можливостей інновації процесів, цією статтею створено основу для її розуміння; введено терміни і поняття, пов'язані з інновацією процесів. Ґрунтуючись на результатах даної роботи, можливо спланувати подальші дослідження інновації процесів і розвивати розуміння основних факторів, що сприяють її успіху. Практичне значення дослідження. Виявлено, що інновація процесів пов'язана з високою кількістю невдач (від 50 до 80%), які стають стримуючим фактором для багатьох менеджерів і компаній. Завдяки розумінню її вимог і можливостей, менеджери можуть обґрунтовано вирішити питання про доцільність продовження або припинення інновації процесів в своїй компанії. Оригінальність/Цінність/Наукова новизна дослідження. У джерелах, використаних для аналізу при проведенні даного дослідження, тільки в тій чи іншій мірі описані загальні вимоги і можливості інновації процесів. Оригінальність даної роботи полягає в тому, що в цій статті зведено до єдиного найбільш важливі вимоги і можливості інновації процесів. Обмеження дослідження/Перспективи подальших досліджень. У даній статті вимоги і можливості інновації процесів описано, але за рівнем важливості для неї їх не проранжовано. Важливість вимог і можливостей інновації процесів також кількісно не оцінено. У подальших дослідженнях таке ранжування вимог і можливостей можливо виконати на основі їх внеску в успіх і / чи провал інновації процесів для окремої фірми або для окремої галузі. Тип статті – теоретична.
    Цель работы – составить перечень наиболее важных требований и возможностей инновации процессов путем анализа основных и самых новых научных разработок, связанных с ее изучением. Дизайн/Метод/Подход исследования – системный обзор литературы. Результаты и теоретическое значение исследования. Путем изложения требований и возможностей инновации процессов, данной статьей создана основа для её понимания; введены термины и понятия, связанные с инновацией процессов. Основываясь на результатах данной работы, возможно спланировать дальнейшие исследования инновации процессов и развивать понимание основных факторов, способствующих ее успеху. Практическое значение исследования. Выявлено, что инновация процессов связана с высоким количеством неудач (от 50 до 80%), которые становятся сдерживающим фактором для многих менеджеров и компаний. Благодаря пониманию её требований и возможностей, менеджеры могут обоснованно решить вопрос о целесообразности продолжения или прекращения инновации процессов в своей компании. Оригинальность/Ценность/Научная новизна исследования. В источниках, использованных для анализа при проведении данного исследования, только в той или иной мере описаны общие требования и возможности инновации процессов. Оригинальность данной работы заключается в том, что в этой статье сведены воедино наиболее важные требования и возможности инновации процессов. Ограничения исследования/Перспективы дальнейших исследований. В данной статье требования и возможности инновации процессов описаны, но по уровню важности для неё они не проранжированы. Важность требований и возможностей инновации процессов также количественно не оценена. В дальнейших исследованиях возможно выполнить такое ранжирование требований и возможностей на основе их вклада в успех и/ли провал инновации процессов для отдельной фирмы или для отдельной отрасли.  Тип статьи – теоретическая.
     Purpose. The purpose is to assemble the list of the most important requirements and opportunities of process innovation through the analysis of the main and most recent scholarly developments related to the study of process innovation. Design/Method/Approach. Systematic literature review. Theoretical implications. In outlining the requirements and opportunities of process innovation, this article builds a foundation for understanding process innovation and an introduction to terms and ideas related to process innovation. From such foundation, scholars can further develop the study of process innovation and the understanding of the main factors that contribute to its success. Practical implication. Process innovation is linked to a high failure rate (between 50% - 80%), which acts as a deterrent for many managers and companies. Through understanding the requirements and opportunities of process innovation, managers can intelligently decide whether it is best for their company to pursue or avoid process innovation. Originality/Value. Articles have shared, in small parts, the requirements and opportunities of process innovation, but this article is original due its listing of the most important requirements and opportunities of process innovation. Research limitations/Future research. This article shares the requirements and opportunities of process innovation, but it does not rank or list either the requirements or opportunities based on their importance to process innovation. Additionally, this article does not quantitatively assess the requirements and opportunities importance to process innovation. Future research can rank the requirements and opportunities of process innovation based on their contribution to the success and/or failure of process innovation within a firm or an industry.  Paper type – conceptual.

    Artykuł porusza zagadnienie modernizacji biznesowych procesów ponadorganizacyjnych, realizowanych pomiędzy organizacjami. Punktem wyjścia do analizy problemu jest technika X-engineeringu zaproponowana dla potrzeb modernizacji tej kategorii procesów. Doskonalenie procesów ponadorganizacyjnych wymaga optymalnego zastosowania technologii teleinformatycznych. Artykuł prezentuje podstawowe modele informatyzacji procesu, jak również wzorce wykorzystywane przy definiowaniu rozwiązania zapewniającego uwzględnienie wymagań i interesów wszystkich użytkowników procesu. Zarysowano również metodologię postępowania w trakcie modernizacji procesów ponadorganizacyjnych.
    The paper discusses the issue of modernizing of interorganizational processes. The starting point for problem analysis is the X-engineering technique proposed for the modernization of this process category. The improvement of organizational processes is based on the optimal use of ICT. The article presents basic models of process automation as well as models used to define a solution that takes into account the requirements and interests of all process stakeholders. Finally the article proposes a procedure for the modernization of interorganizational processes.

W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono istotę zarządzania rozwojem firmy oraz determinanty rozwoju, takie jak: potencjał przedsiębiorstwa, otoczenie, finansowanie rozwoju, koncepcje zarządzania rozwojem przyjęte w firmie oraz powiązanie ich ze strategią przedsiębiorstwa. W części drugiej pokazano w oparciu o studia nad literaturą oraz na podstawie dotychczasowych doświadczeń praktycznych na ile stosowanie tych nowych rozwiązań faktycznie sprzyja rozwojowi przedsiębiorstw oraz jakie nowe kierunki rozwijają się w tym obszarze.
    The aim of this article was to present some modern conceptions of the management, with particular attention paid to subject oriented conceptions, especially to the managing of knowledge or information. The first part of the paper presents the essence of company development management, determinants of the development, such as direct and indirect environment, the potential of a company, the trends in the management of company development and source of finance for the company development. The second part of the paper conveys the review of selected conceptions used in the above-discussed areas, while close attention has been given to further possibilities of their applications, taking into consideration constantly changing external conditions.
