    Opis:
    Nakłady ponoszone na gospodarkę wodną w Polsce są ograniczone. Nieliczne zrealizowane inwestycje, takie jak np. małe zbiorniki retencyjne, powinny być wykorzystane w najbardziej efektywny sposób. Głównym celem pracy jest ocena przydatności do rekreacji zbiornika Ostrowy i jego rekreacyjnego wykorzystania. Ocena została przeprowadzona na podstawie parametrów morfometrycznych zbiornika, miejscowych planów zagospodarowania terenów otaczających akwen oraz jego aktualnego wykorzystania i przyległych terenów. Pierwotnie zbiornik był przeznaczony do retencjonowania wody na cele rolnicze (nawadniania upraw). Brak inwestorów i inne czynniki uniemożliwiły takie wykorzystanie zbiornika. Pomimo niezbyt korzystnych pod kątem rekreacji parametrów morfometrycznych, uchwalono miejscowy plan pozwalający na rekreacyjne wykorzystanie terenów wokół akwenu i zrealizowano inwestycje w infrastrukturę. Pozwala to na znacznie bardziej efektywne wykorzystanie zbiornika retencyjnego Ostrowy.
    Incurred expenditure on water management is limited. Few carried out investments, such as small water reservoirs should be utilized in the most effective way. The main objective of the work is the assessment of the recreational value of reservoir Ostrowy and its recreational use. The assessment was based on the morphometric parameters of the reservoir, local development plans for the surrounding areas and present use of the reservoir and surrounding areas. Initially the reservoir was planned for water retention for agricultural purposes (irrigation of crops). Lack of investors and other factors prevented such use. Despite the fact that the morphometric parameters were not very favourable for recreation, local development plans allowed recreational use of the reservoir and investments in infrastructure followed. That resulted in much more effective usage of the Ostrowy reservoir.

    Zbiorniki wodne i ich otoczenie bez wątpienia wpływają pozytywnie na wypoczywających, zwłaszcza w okresach wysokich temperatur. Większość małych zbiorników retencyjnych zlokalizowana jest na obszarach wiejskich, zwykle ubogich w infrastrukturę turystyczną. Wydaje się zatem celowe rekreacyjne wykorzystanie istniejących akwenów, jak i rozwój turystycznych form rekreacji na sąsiadujących z nimi terenach. Lokowanie innych niż tradycyjnie rozumiane formy działalności gospodarczej i usługowej o charakterze rolniczym, przyczynia się do aktywizacji tych obszarów. Wielofunkcyjne 90 zagospodarowanie obszarów wiejskich poprawia jakość życia mieszkańców, zapobiega zjawiskom depopulacyjnym i umożliwia likwidację przeludnienia agrarnego [Salamon 2005, s. 146].

The assessment was based on the morphometric parameters of the reservoir, local development plans for the surrounding areas and present use of the reservoir and surrounding areas. Despite the fact that the morphometric parameters were not very favourable for recreation, local development plans allowed recreational use of the reservoir and investments in infrastructure followed. Howewer, considering forest environment of the reservoir, many cycling paths and large dis-tance from similar objects, recreational use of the reservoir should be regarded as reasonable.

    Проанализирован рекреационный потенциал Одесской области и особенности его территориальной организации, выявлены региональные различия с помощью количественных методов; выполнена оценка рекреационного потенциала административных районов Одесской области по интегральным характеристикам ресурсного, экологического, инфраструктурного и потребительского факторов; проведены комплексная оценка исследуемой территории по величине рекреационной ценности и ландшафтно-рекреационное районирование на уровне рекреационных районов и подрайонов; разработана серия оценочных карт районирования территории области.
    The recreation potential of Odessa region and particularly it’s territorial organization were analyzed; regional differences were detected using quantitative methods; the estimation of recreation potential of the administrative districts of Odessa region was made based on integral characteristics of the resource, environmental, infrastructure and consumer factors; integrated assessment of the area for the largest recreation value was held; landscape and recreation zoning at the level of recreation areas and subdistricts was developed and maps for the given territory were made.

The paper reports on a literature review to develop a generic template of social and cultural values and indicators associated with forests in Europe, and research to develop ‘forest recreational use’ as an indicator to assess the social impacts of changes in forest management as part of European impact assessment procedures.

    Recreation is essential to an individual’s health, socialization and general well-being. It can be used to discover new talents. It should be noted that the recreation field recognizes the importance of physical activities in the lives of everyone and the benefits of sport participation for some, but it does not limit itself to sport in the delivery of leisure opportunities and services. This study was conducted to estimate the recreational value of parks in Addis Ababa. The study encompasses the analysis of the data collected from 180 randomly selected sample visitors of two parks selected purposely from Addis Ababa recreation sites. To measure the recreational economic benefits from the recreation site, Individual Travel Cost Method (ITCM) was employed. The ITCM was preferred to Zonal TCM in this study because of its statistical efficiency. In the selection of a model, the number of visits was truncated. To estimate the annual recreational values, the Truncated Negative Binomial model was employed and found Birr 18,239,782.05 and 19,389,895.00 for Hamle 19 and Future parks, respectively per year. This study is limited only the recreational values of the two parks excluding other use values and non-use values of the sites. Further research is therefore recommended to estimate the total economic value of those sites.

    The study was designed to determine current recreational value of the state forests in Poland from the viewpoint of their administrator (i.e. the State Forests National Forest Holding) and to compare this findings with the value estimated by other researchers. The research was conducted in 31% of all the forest districts administered by the State Forests. The survey was sent to these units by e−mail. It contained two questions about: (1) what part of the total annual expenditures of the forest district is connected with recreational development and use of forests, and (2) what part of the total annual revenues of the forest district is generated by recreational use of forests. Afterwards, the current recreational value of the State Forests was calculated. Budget related data come from the annual financial and operational statement of the State Forests. The findings show that operations linked with recreational use of forests in majority of the forest districts generate losses and only in some of them measurable financial gains are recorded. Costs linked to recreational use of forests are incurred by nearly all districts (97%), yet in the most cases they account for up to 3% of the total disbursements. Only 25% of the forest districts recorded revenues from this type of operations. The current recreational value of the State Forests in Poland is estimated to circa 8 USD/ha. Notably, this is a mean value for all national forests in Poland, yet not all of them are equally attractive to visitors. The relevant value for only urban and suburban forests equals 94 USD/ha, which is approximately 10% of the estimated value reported by other researchers. It can be assumed that the remaining part of the revenues generated by recreational function of forests represent earnings of local businesses (accommodation, catering, grocery shops, souvenirs, transport and other services). The present findings provide important information for the State Forest administrators and for the public. Forest administrators should seek the possibility to change above mentioned disadvantageous ratio to at least one of 3:7. Given this, a change in the national forest policy would be worth considering; a proposal for such transformation is presented.

    Artykuł ma charakter przeglądowy. Na podstawie dostępnej literatury przedmiotu dokonano analizy struktury aktywności fizycznej polskiego społeczeństwa oraz tendencji przemian w tym zakresie. Omówiono również przyczyny i skutki narastającej hipokinezji – zwłaszcza u dzieci i młodzieży. Poruszono w sposób szczególny zagadnienie istoty i wartości gier zespołowych, jako doskonałej formy rekreacji fizycznej w życiu człowieka. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na walory biologiczno-zdrowotne, społeczno-kulturowe i psychomotoryczne gier zespołowych w wychowaniu młodzieży do rekreacji fizycznej. Sformułowano także kilka postulatów dotyczących problemów społecznych, programowych i polityki w zakresie popularyzacji tych dyscyplin sportowych w powszechnej rekreacji fizycznej.
    This article has a form of a review. The analysis of the physical activeness of Polish society and the change tendencies in this matter has been conducted on the basis of the reference books available. The reasons and consequences of the increasing tendency towards hypokinesia, especially amongst children and adolescents, has been also discussed. The focus has been put on the notion of the sport games’ value as an excellent form of physical recreation in a person’s life. A special attention has been given to the biological-health, social-cultural and physical-motor aspects of sport games in the children’s and adolescents’ physical education. Some postulates have been formulated that concern social issues, programmes and policy of popularization of those sport disciplines in the general physical education.
