Człowiek jako osoba zasługuje na poszanowanie jego godności. Dotyczy to również sfery seksualnej, która zdaje się w naszej kulturze coraz bardziej zdeprawowana. Tymczasem uświadomienie sobie ogromnej wartości czystości otwiera oczy zwłaszcza młodemu człowiekowi, gdy zauważa, że jej zachowanie staje się „receptą” na szczęśliwe życie, związek, rodzinę i samopoczucie. Dzieje się tak, gdyż nie można odseparować ciała od świadomości człowieka, tym samym nie jest możliwe odizolowanie czynności od psychiki, która im towarzyszy. Często nieodpowiedzialne współżycia seksualne nie są tylko przygodą, ale zostawiają niezatarty ślad w duszach i umysłach młodych ludzi na całe życie. Niewątpliwie warto jest podkreślić, że czystość jest darem Bożym, który umacnia też miłość między ludźmi. Ostatecznie Chrystus naucza, że „błogosławieni czystego serca, albowiem oni Boga oglądać będą” (Mt 5, 8).
Man, as a person deserves respect for his dignity. This also applies to the sexual sphere, which seems more and more depraved in our culture. Meanwhile, realizing the great value of purity opens the eyes especially to the young man when he notices that her behavior becomes a “recipe” for a happy life, relationship, family and well-being. This is because the body can’t be separated from the human consciousness, thus it is not possible to isolate the activity from the psyche that accompanies it. Often irresponsible sexual intercourse is not just an adventure, but it leaves an indelible mark on the souls and minds of young people for life. Undoubtedly, it is worth emphasizing that purity is a gift of God, which also strengthens the love between people. Ultimately, Christ teaches that “blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God” (Mt 5, 8).

Historically and culturally the Menstrual blood was considered impure and maudit, thus positioning the menstruating women at the bottom of the power hierarchies, and asserting the social status-quo of the male dominance. Menstruation is also subjected to capitalization which has been shaping the Menstrual attitudes and practices.The aim of the article is to draw a sketch of what menstruating means in the British and American cultures, as well as to reflect on its frequent absence from the cultural deliberations.

The paper describes a new efficient cryoadsorptive method of dihydrogens p-H2, o-H2, HD, o-D2, p-D2, HT, DT, T2 separation with moving temperature gradient on the adsorbent fixed bed. The method was developed at the Department of Chemistry, Moscow State University, as a result of many years’ experimental and theoretical investigations. The separation method, and corresponding periodical action apparatus named MTGA (Moving Temperature Gradient Adsorption), and MGU DETRA (Multispecious Gas Separator-Upgrader: DEuterium, TRitium, Adsorption), respectively, are applied to prepare individual dihydrogens in very pure isotopic or nuclear-spin forms. In this paper, the basic design and possibilities of a typical three – stage laboratory adsorption separative cascade are given. The cascade was used to prepare two gases of ultrahigh isotopic purity (99.9998 mol.% deuterium and 99.98 mol.% deuterium hydride HD) for the first time. Moreover, the paper presents the results of successful studies on enriching microquantities of tritium-containing molecules HT, DT, T2 from macrocomponents H2 and D2.

The aim of this study was to examine factors that influence copper nitrate based electrorefining of copper and to search the best process parameters for high-purity copper deposition on AISI 316L steel blanks. Considering impurities, the most important goal was to minimize sulfur content in a copper cathode. The effect of Cu2+ concentration, current density, temperature and pH were studied. The best parameters for the best copper purity were sorted out. The most important factors for quality copper deposition are sufficiently low Cu2+ concentration, low current density, right zone and careful control of pH. Active nitrate ion reduction reactions catalyzed by copper ions are suggested to affect detrimentally both copper deposition current efficiency and purity. Furthermore, nitrate ion reactions seem to elevate an electrolyte pH so that the deposition appears to be dark brow copper oxide. The 6N purity for copper was not reached with this cell construction and it felled behind about 7 ppm (99.9993% Cu). Both, sulfur and silver concentration were slightly above 1 - 2 ppm. To minimize the impurities, electrolyte circulation and filtration are needed. Also, either a separate silver cementation cell or cementation membrane is needed.

Hydraulic fracturing methods used for low permeability reservoirs such as shale gas or tight gas require the use of proppants. The current standard used for proppant assessment does not take into account its interaction with the rock and the embedment effect. In this paper a new method of proppant pack permeability assessment is proposed where proppant is placed into a rock sample with induced fracture. Three types of proppant were assessed to verify the method i.e. offshore sand, onshore sand and ceramic proppant. The rock sample was a Tumlin sandstone. As the flowing medium supercritical carbon dioxide was used. Tests were performed with 300-500 μm size proppants at flowing pressure of 3 MPa and confining pressure of 5 MPa. Additional test was conducted with 1–2 mm sand proppant at two confining pressure, i.e. 5 MPa and 16 MPa. Proppant were characterized in accordance with the Krumbein/Sloss diagram. Similar values of permeability for the proppant concentration of 0.5 kg/m2 were obtained ranging from 2.3 to 3.3 D although the highest permeability was achieved with Baltic sand proppant and ceramic proppant. For the larger size of proppant (1 – 2 mm) the initial permeability with confining pressure of 5 MPa was initially larger but when the confining pressure was increased it declined by 37%. This proves that in the proposed method we can observe changes in the permeability of the fracture with change in confining pressure apply subjected to the sample.

The article discusses the problem of authenticity and commercialization in the context of the postcolonial theatre in Cambodia. It seems that contemporary art in this country depends on foreign funds and at the same time on the special taste of – mainly – Western donors. The author tries to show, that the epithet “pure Cambodian” is very often used to make art more interesting to tourists. A similar situation can be seen in the crucifixions in Cutud (which annually takes place in a Philippine province – Pampanga with a wide touristic audience) and in Balinese theatre (another good example of a postcolonial, hybrid identity). Moreover, a discourse of the battle between “traditional” and “touristic” points of view does not have one answer. The search for purity can be a cause of petrifying traditional forms, as well as a sign of neocolonialism and (self-)orientalisation. On the other hand, a dialogue between indigenous artists and the others, tourists, may give the art a new profile and new meaning.

Opis:
The insensitive high explosive 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one (NTO) is a weak acid (pKa 3.76) due to the labile N–H bond. The weakly acidic character of this compound is exploited for its assay by aqueous acid-base titration. The NTO sample was dissolved in water and the resultant solution was titrated against 0.07 N NaOH solution using phenolphthalein as indicator. Regular batch samples were assayed by this method and the results were compared with those obtained by the HPLC method. The aqueous acid-base titration method was found to be suitable for the quality control of the product.

The paper presents the results of the study on reliability of the "Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) – Receiver" system, using different models for predicting probability that the river will stay in the required purity class after receiving the discharge from a WWTP. A probabilistic model based on the total probability theorem and Monte Carlo (MC) simulations of the water quality below the wastewater discharge were used. The results show that probabilistic model generates lower values of "WWTP-Receiver" system’s reliability than the MC simulations. The results from the MC model may give more realistic values, being able to reflect the stochastic nature of the process, also showing that for the overall reliability of the "WWTP-Receiver" system – the quality of the receiver is a more sensitive factor than the WWTP’s reliability.

Opis:
Electron beam melting(EBM) is a useful technique to obtain high-purity metal ingots. It is also used for melting refractory metals such as tantalum, which require melting techniques employing a high-energy heat source. Drawing is a method which is used to convert the ingot into a wire shape. The required thickness of the wire is achieved by drawing the ingot from a drawing die with a hole of similar size. This process is used to achieve high purity tantalum springs, which are an essential component of lithography lamp in semiconductor manufacturing process. Moreover, high-purity tantalum is used in other applications such as sputtering targets for semiconductors. Studies related to recycling of tantalum from these components have not been carried outuntil now. The recycling of tantalum is vital for environmental and economic reasons. In order to obtain high-purity tantalum ingot, in this study impurities contained in the scrap were removed by electron beam melting after pre-treatment using aqua regia. The purity of the ingot was then analyzed to be more than 4N5 (99.995%). Subsequently, drawing was performed using the rod melted by electron beam melting. Owing to continuous drawing, the diameter of the tantalum wire decreased to 0.5 mm from 9 mm. The hardness and oxygen concentration of the tantalum ingot were 149 Hv and less than 300 ppm, respectively, whereas the hardness of the tantalum wire was 232.12 Hv. In conclusion, 4N5 grade tantalum wire was successfully fabricated from tantalum scrap by EBM and drawing techniques. Furthermore, procedure to successfully recycle Tantalum from scraps was established.

Observations of refined microstructure of Commercial Purity titanium for applications in biomedical devices has been carried out. Refinement of titanium microstructure has been performed in process with complex strain scheme. Materials investigated in this work were: Commercial Purity titanium grade 2 and grade 4. Samples of as received materials were subjected to plastic deformation in complex loading process of extrusion combined with oscillation twisting (KoBo extrusion). Both types of samples were deformed in single step of extrusion, in temperature of 450 °C, with extrusion ratio 19.14 and 12.25 for grade 2 titanium and grade 4 titanium, respectively. Initial mean grain diameter for both types of materials was approximately 30 μm. Samples were investigated by means of crystal orientation microscopy. In both cases considerable microstructure refinement has been observed. Microstructures of deformed samples are heterogenous and consist of both elongated and fine equiaxed grains. Elongated grains (lamellae) are separated by High Angle Grain Boundaries and feature internal structure with subgrains and dislocation walls. Grain refinement is stronger in material with higher extrusion ratio and mean grain diameter in this case is equal to 1.48 μm compared to 8.07 μm. in material with lower extrusion ratio. Mean misorientation angle (24° and 27° for grade 4 and grade 2 titanium) indicates high fraction of HAGBs in microstructures of KoBo deformed samples. Misorientation fluctuations inside grains have been analyzed and distinct curvature of crystal lattice have been observed. Hardness of samples after plastic deformation increased from 174.6±3.4 and 234.9±3.5 to 205.0±3.2 and 251.2±2.2 for titanium grade 2 and grade 4 respectively.
