The paper discusses results of tests designed to determine the position stabilization accuracy of an Unmanned Aircraft System. The tests were carried out on a DJI S900 device featuring a A2 flight controller during basic flight operations. All the maneuvers were performed in the remote control mode with RC system, while the UAV's position was stabilized by its onboard systems. During all the tests, state-of-the-art surveying equipment was used to determine the position of the UAV. An analysis of the obtained measurement data has enabled the verification of the UAV positioning accuracy parameters specified by the manufacturer of the UAV. It has also allowed the assessment of onboard system indications in terms of their reliability in missions involving documentation photography, video shooting or professional photogrammetric documentation. The proposed set of tests, including the testing methodology, can successfully be applied in the future to inspect the operation of this type of equipment.

The subject of this article is a critical evaluation of application of competition law to the undertakings active on the copyright market. The study focuses on the conduct of the collecting organizations of copyright. Its aim is to present new aspects and methods that need to be considered in analyzing the market position of national collecting organizations. The clarification of the main problem is preceded by examination of the notion of dominant position as defined in Polish antimonopoly law. Next, the article address the implications of cross-border online copyright trade on the evaluation of the market position of national collecting societies. Further considerations argue for an integrative approach that give attention to the dynamic factors of competition and highlights public interest issues.. In this regard the claim is that the development of competition on the copyright market has to sustain the objectives of intellectual property regulations. The author point out that ratio legis of copyright law is anchored in the Constitution, that determine the need for balancing the individual and public interest in respect to the creative activity.

The system changes of the Polish economy, which began in the 80s of the 20th century and were continued after the accession to the European Union in 2004, have caused significant transformations, not only in the economy and ownership relations, but also in single markets. What is more, some of the European Commission’s guidelines have introduced the market regulations which were dominated by natural monopolies. These changes were to cause the competitiveness on the market and to improve its functioning in an efficiency allocative sense in order to make the consumers’ situation better. However, it is often a kind of struggle without any visible effects in short or long term. One of such examples is the Polish Post Office as the national operator in the market of postal services. The scientific objective of this study is to answer the question whether the changes in the law regulating the postal market cause real changes in the market structure, resulting in a reduction in allocative inefficiency? The working hypothesis referring to such research problem is formulated as follows: large business entities operating in the monopolistic market structure until now use all of the tools – including changes in the law, to maintain their position. It causes an increase in allocative inefficiency of companies and market. The object of the research is Poczta Polska SA. The primary research method will be based on the analysis of the legal rules, the analysis of the activities and entities’ decisions and the comparative analysis. The active research is supported by the literature recognition.

The article begins with a general presentation of Cola Nicea’s Memoirs – the document which is to be investigated using methods drawn from Critical Discource Analysis. The paper continues with a study of the ethnonyms used by Nicea throughout his account, which leads into a discussion of Macedonian Slav and Macedonian Aromanian identities at the turn of the 20th century. Then it discusses the forms of – and reasons for – cooperation between the Aromanian armatoles and TMORO comitadji, as reflected in Nicea’s text. The information contained in this source-material proves that, philoromanian discourse proving ill-equipped to deal with the radicalization of the Macedonian crisis, Romanophile Aromanians adapt by creatively combining the latter discourse with the TMORO political agenda. Finally, the paper refers to the diverse textual and meta-textual devices which come into play in Cola Nicea’s iteration of the Aromanian armatole subject position.

The paper analyses occupational stress occurring in three public sector units. The aim of the study was to identify stressors at work and working out solutions conducive to coping with stress present in professional life. Individual in-depth interviews covered 32 employees particularly exposed to strong stressors due to social nature of performed duties. In the course of the conducted research we have identified stressors’ sources, determined the perceived stress at work, and then tried to arrange them in the form of specific threats, appropriate for individual groups of studied officials according to their gender, age, education level, work experience and occupied position. Furthermore, we proved the importance of position at work in the human’s hierarchy of needs.

In this paper we solve the problem of the influence of the mutual position of the users of the communication network on the accuracy of the telemetric navigation system. We present the principle of operation of a telemetry navigation system and examine the accuracy of determining the position of users of the communication network depending on their mutual position. The telemetric method of determining the position of users of a communication network can be used in shipping or air transport. The simulation of the telemetry system will be performed in the Matlab software environment.

Podstawowym celem artykułu jest próba odpowiedzi na pytanie natury metodologicznej: w jakim stopniu wyznaczanie pozycji jednostki w strukturze społecznej za pomocą tzw. kryteriów obiektywnych (dochodu, pozycji zawodowej, wykształcenia) zbieżne jest z subiektywną oceną własnego położenia społecznego oraz jakie czynniki przyczyniają się do zaistniałych rozbieżności. Ogólniejsze pytanie dotyczy możliwości eksplanacyjnych modeli konstruowanych z uwzględnieniem kryteriów obiektywnych i modeli uwzględniających kryteria subiektywne. Artykuł mieści się w nurcie szeroko rozumianej problematyki dotyczącej przeobrażeń struktury społecznej. Kanwą teoretyczną dla analiz empirycznych są tu socjologiczne teorie struktury i ruchliwości społecznej. Empirycznej ilustracji dostarczą dane pochodzące z longitudinalnych badań socjologicznych [Lubuskiego Sondażu Społecznego (2005 i 2009) oraz Polskiego Generalnego Sondażu Społecznego (2005, 2008)]. Wyniki badań empirycznych jednoznacznie wskazują, że następują zmiany uwarunkowań percepcji własnego położenia społecznego w kierunku zmniejszenia roli zawodu przy jednoczesnym wzroście znaczenie czynników pozazawodowych, wśród których istotną funkcję pełnią subiektywne oceny własnej sytuacji, konteksty porównawcze oraz kategorie (grupy) odniesienia. W artykule zestawione zostaną miary położenia jednostki w strukturze społecznej, oszacowane rozbieżności i wskazane możliwe obszary pozwalające te rozbieżności wyjaśnić.
The primary objective of this article is to answer the question of a methodological nature: to what extent position in the social structure of individuals determine by using the so-called objective criteria (income, occupational position, education) is consistent with the subjective assessment of their social position, and what factors contribute to the existing discrepancies. General question concerns the explanatory possibility of models constructed with the criteria of objective and models based on subjective criteria. The article is located in the mainstream of broadly understood issues concerning the transformation of the social structure. Theoretical basis for the empirical analysis are the sociological theories of structure and social mobility. Empirical illustrations based are on data from a longitudinal sociological studies: Lubuskie Social Survey (2005 and 2009) and the Polish General Social Survey (2005, 2008). The results of empirical studies clearly indicate that changes occur in conditions of perception of self social position in such direction, that the role of profession is reduced and the growing importance of non-work factors , among which important function fully subjective assessment of their own situation, comparative contexts, and categories (groups) references. For many years, exclusivity payments and its specific type – loyalty rebates – were treated by the European Commission (Commission) as restrictions by object. This approach has been gradually revised towards a more effect-based reasoning. In the Guidance on the Commission’s enforcement priorities in applying Article 82 of the EC Treaty to abusive exclusionary conduct by dominant undertakings (Guidance), the Commission demonstrated its willingness to follow the so-called ‘economic approach’. In particular, the Commission announced that for price-based exclusionary conduct the so-called ‘as-efficient competitor’ test (AEC test) is going to be used. This article aims to verify whether the Commission followed the Guidance in its assessment of exclusionary practices in two cases, Qualcomm and Google (Android), considered by the Author as an opportunity to make a move from a form-based to an economic-based approach. In his considerations, the Author provides proposals on how the practice of the Commission should be changed to ensure dominant undertakings are provided with a sufficient level of legal certainty.
Pendant de nombreuses années, les paiements d’exclusivité et le type spécifique de rabais de fidélité ont été traités par la Commission européenne (la Commission) comme des restrictions par objet. Cette approche a été progressivement révisée en faveur d’un raisonnement fondé sur les effets. Dans les Orientations sur les priorités retenues par la Commission pour l’application de l’article 82 du Traité CE aux pratiques d’éviction abusives des entreprises dominantes (Orientations), la Commission a démontré sa volonté de suivre l’approche “économique”. En particulier, la Commission a annoncé que pour les pratiques d’exclusion fondées sur les prix, le test du “concurrent le plus efficace” sera utilisé. Cet article vise à vérifier si la Commission a suivi les lignes directrices dans son évaluation des pratiques d’exclusion dans deux affaires, Qualcomm et Google (Android), considérées par l’auteur comme des occasions de passer d’une approche fondée sur la forme à une approche économique. Dans ses considérations, l’Auteur fournit des propositions sur la manière dont la pratique de la Commission devrait être modifiée afin de garantir que les entreprises dominantes bénéficient d’un niveau suffisant de sécurité juridique.

My paper presents the employment situation by the Visegrad Four (V4) countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary) in the recent years. I have chosen the analysis of the employment policy, unemployment and the regional disparities because they have been more and more used in the economy and can be considered an actual question. The extensive economic literature deals with the role of the state it plays in the area of employment and revitalising demand in order to treat economic crisis; it also includes the probable benefits and drawbacks of the measures. My hypothesis states that the employment position of the Visegrad Four is different in the European Union relation, and in the V4 relations, its human resource position is weak, the level of employment is low, which is influenced by several factors and the four countries have different employment trends. The methodology of the paper is the analysis of available statistical data, the study and critical analysis of the situation.

The article presents theoretical foundations of the position prediction functionality of a GPS receiver to be used by a pilot in the event of an instantaneous lack of position data occurring due to various reasons.
