Aim. The aim of this research is comparing the role of personality traits and emotional intelligence between women who experienced domestic violence and  a control group. Methods. The statistical population of the study includes all women (700 participants) referred to the judicial authorities of Ardabil province in 2019.The research sample included 30 women who experienced domestic violence and 30 women as control group (not experienced domestic violence) who were selected by available sampling method. To measure emotional intelligence and personality traits, the Bar-on Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire and NEO Questionnaire was used. The questionnaires briefly describe and evaluate the two complex concepts of emotional intelligence and current emotional health. Data analysis was performed using SPSS statistical software and MANOVA. The main variables of the research were neuroticism, extroversion, openness, agreeableness, extra-individual skills, conscientiousness, interpersonal skills, adaptability, stress control and public mood. Results. The findings of the research have shown that among the characteristics of the five major personality factors (NEO), only the neuroticism component was more prevalent among women who experienced domestic violence, and the rest of the personality traits (extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to new experiences) among control group were higher (P<0.05). Also, all components of emotional intelligence (extra-individual skills, intrapersonal skills, adaptability, stress control, and public mood) were higher among control group than those of women who experienced domestic violence (P<0.05).   Conlusion. As a result, it can be acknowledged that personality traits and emotional intelligence abilities are among the main factors related to domestic violence and are very important in preventing this violence.

The study aimed to investigate associations between psychopathic traits (disinhibition, boldness, and meanness) and indicators of relationship quality (satisfaction, commitment, feelings toward the partner, closeness, and relationship costs) using a variable-centred and a person-centred approach. A total of 1,292 participants completed measures assessing psychopathic traits and relationship quality. Correlation analysis indicated that boldness was positively, while disinhibition and meanness were negatively correlated with relationship quality. Subsequently, cluster analysis was conducted to identify groups of participants with different combinations of psychopathic traits. Three clusters were extracted: “disinhibited”, “callous”, and “brave-resistant”. The last cluster had an elevated level of boldness and was relatively “positive” regarding relationship quality. The results seem congruent with the presumption of a different role of boldness, compared to meanness and disinhibition, in the domain of close relationships.

The starting point and at the same time the axis of the considerations presented in the article was the introduction of the teacher-student relationship - the impulse to undertake them was the assumptions of hermeneutic pedagogy, whose specific branch, focused on the process of understanding the senses and meanings of what happens between the student and the educator, was referenced to this key relationship for the school microsystem. Then, in reference to the category of „meeting” of the teacher and the student, the issue of vocational fit was presented, which was shown from the point of view of the psychological (personalistic) approach in pedeutology, taking into account the specific catalog of duties of the older of the participants of this dyad in relation to the younger of them – it was emphasized that only a teacher optimally suited to the profession will be able to create such conditions for his students, that will enable them to achieve self-knowledge and form a cultural personality in terms of hermeneutic (humanistic) pedagogy. In the next part of the article, the vocational fit of teachers was shown in reference to John L. Holland’s Theory of Career Choice (the Theory of Vocational Personality) and the Five Factor Theory of Personality of Paul T. Costa and Robert R. McCrae - it also quoted the results of empirical analyzes relating to this issue, and in reference to assumptions of hermeneutic pedagogy, an attempt was made to interpret them in a different way than before, taking into account the look at the problem from a new perspective.

Religion is an integral part of the human culture. Depending on philosophical, outlook, theological concepts, there are many of its definitions. The interest of psychology is concentrated on subjective understanding of religion and religiousness. The article analyzes the issues mentioned above from humanistic and existential’s achievements perspective. Distinguishing of religiousness described as an attitude and as a relationship reveals different aspects of its functioning in human personality. A religion`s influence on personality depends on a kind of religiousness and a place, which are given to the human structure. Religiousness provides human`s life with meaning, values, sense of security, identifies with society and plays therapeutic functions. Pointing these functions out shows a positive role that is played by religiousness in every man’s life.

Opis:
Goal – improving the legislative regulation of the institution of the statute of limitations for criminal liability in the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, improving and deepening the theoretical framework on the statute of limitations for criminal liability. Research methodology – on the basis of the analysis of theoretical provisions on the criminal law relation, an analysis of its implementation, as well as the presence of each of the elements of the criminal legal relationship, in the case of the implementation of the statute of limitations has been conducted. Score/results – the reason for the study is the impossibility of restoring the violated crime of legal relations due to the implementation of the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution in the existing legislative consolidation. Originality/value – in the science of criminal law of the Republic of Belarus, there are no theoretical studies regarding the statute of limitations for criminal liability, the regulation of the application of this legal institution is not well developed. Earlier, no attempts were made to analyze the implementation of criminal law relations in the case of applying the statute of limitations.

This paper presents the issue of a lawyer’s integrity from the perspective of the assumptions underlying the original concept of a holistic approach to law and legal practice. In the course of the discussion, the basic principles of legal holism, the assumed understanding of lawyer’s integrity and their personal qualities forming the lawyer personality, and the problem of integrity in the context of the formula (model) shaping the lawyer-client relationship will be introduced. Legal holism recognises a lawyer’s self-knowledge, their conscious choice of professional role(s), the ways in which they are performed and the formula for working with clients and parties to disputes as crucial issues for the practice of law. It emphasises their complexity and possible impact on the postulated observance by a lawyer of the integrity of attitudes and actions in professional and private life. The author represents a research approach related to the concept of ontological and methodological multidimensionality of legal phenomena and the postulate of the so-called external integration of jurisprudence with the achievements of other sciences, including branches other than social (e.g. psychology or sociology).
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie problematyki integralności prawnika z perspektywy założeń autorskiej koncepcji holistycznego podejścia do prawa i praktyki prawniczej. W trakcie rozważań zostaną zaprezentowane podstawowe założenia holizmu prawniczego, przyjmowane rozumienie integralności prawnika i jego właściwości personalnych, tworzących prawniczą osobowość (the Lawyer Personality) oraz problematyka integralności w kontekście formuły (modelu) relacji prawnika z klientem. Holizm prawniczy za kwestie doniosłe dla praktyki prawniczej uznaje odpowiednie poznanie przez prawnika samego siebie, świadomy wybór przez niego roli zawodowej lub ról, sposobów ich wykonywania oraz formuły współpracy z klientem i stronami sporów. Podkreśla ich złożoność i możliwy wpływ na postulowane zachowywanie przez prawnika integralności postaw i czynów w życiu zawodowym i prywatnym. Autor reprezentuje podejście badawcze związane z koncepcją wielopłaszczyznowości ontologicznej i metodologicznej zjawisk prawnych oraz postulatem tzw. zewnętrznej integracji prawoznawstwa z dorobkiem innych nauk, nie tylko społecznych (np. psychologii czy socjologii).

As an educator, Fr Giussani holds a sober and realistic view of man and his formation: the true value of man, he claims, lies in being rational and free. Complete trust in God and great love for a human person define the most fundamental elements of his approach.The outline also includes a short biographical note and describes popular ways of education, formative events, the educators and educatee’s personality constituents, and the relationship between freedom, conscience, tradition and education.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie aktualności myśli filozofów, logików, przedstawicieli Szkoły Lwowsko-Warszawskiej: Tadeusza Kotarbińskiego, Izydory Dąmbskiej, Kazimierza Ajdukiewicza w odniesieniu do uniwersalnych wartości. Prawdy uniwersalne, takie jak: prawda, dobro, piękno, obowiązek, powinność, moralność, mądrość, sprawiedliwość, odpowiedzialność są głównymi drogowskazami etycznego postępowania. Fenomen Szkoły Lwowsko-Warszawskiej jest przedmiotem zainteresowań naukowców, autorów wielu rozpraw, budzi szacunek i respekt współczesnych badaczy. Wychowanie do wartości uniwersalnych jest zadaniem szkoły ogólnokształcącej oraz szkoły zawodowej. W dobie komercjalizacji, rywalizacji, odniesienie do wartości jest szczególnie ważne, ponieważ jest istotą działania, myślenia i refleksji człowieka.
This article aims to prove that the ideas of philosophers, logicians and representatives of the Lviv-Warsaw School: Tadeusz Kotarbiński, Izydora Dąmbska, Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz are still topical as far as universal values are concerned. The focus of philosophy is to reflect on human nature. The views presented by the representatives of the Lviv-Warsaw School on the value of man are still valid and constitute an unquestionable model to follow in education processes. Universal values, such as the truth, good, beauty, duty, responsibility, obligation, morality, wisdom, justice and accountability are the main lodestars for ethical conduct. The phenomenon of the Lviv-Warsaw School is the subject of interest of many researchers, the topic of several dissertations, and is respected by contemporary researchers. Education promoting universal values is the responsibility of general and vocational schools alike. The essence of vocational education and training is to educate and train individuals for work. Education of young people at vocational schools touches upon the question of ethics, reflections on human subjectivity, also in the context of vocational education and training, functioning in the labour market and future personal and family life. Disinterestedness and ideological zeal as timeless values, despite changing interpersonal and social relations and modern trends, pose a challenge and impose an obligation for educational circles. Promoting and conveying the idea of values is manifested in activities such as pro bono and voluntary work. Such actions serve as an evidence for the imperative to convey the idea and the public need to support and to act on behalf of inalienable, timeless values. The quality of both professional and personal life depends to a large extent on the adopted system of values. The awareness and values observed by individuals strengthen the sense of their dignity and self-esteem. Subjectivity is extremely important in education and work. A person who is the subject of activity feels appreciated, fulfils himself or herself as an employee, acts in a responsible manner and strives to perform the entrusted tasks. He or she feels satisfied with his/her job, is creative, and inspires others to take action.
