    Aggression in juveniles may increase even in modern societies and manifest itself in countless forms of violence, including harming, persecution, abuse, pressure, hostility, etc. A large number of studies on the evolutionary, psychological and sociological origins of aggression are available. However, we lack cognitive remedies to counter developing tendencies towards aggressive behavior. Georg Lind's book How to teach morality. Promoting deliberation and discussion, reducing violence and deceit (2016) offers such a remedy based on his long–term (1976–2017) experiences with dilemma discussion training. This paper draws on Lind's conception of strengthening socio-moral competence as the most efficient remedy against aggression. It also revisits the ongoing theories of empathy. Finally, it revises the pilot research study that we conducted 2010 among Polish and Swiss juveniles7. That study focused on the following hypotheses: Lind's method of dilemma discussion (KMDD) can train and retrain moral competence in  uveniles that show a slight inclination towards aggressive behavior. Strong moral competence may prevent further maldevelopment, in particular interpersonal and collective violence.

    Bruno Schulz – master, inspiration or literary father for Jerzy Ficowski This article explores the artistic relationship between Jerzy Ficowski and Bruno Schulz. For the first time Ficowski came across Schulz’s The Cinnamon Shops in 1942, as a 17 year old adolescent. He remembered that first reading as a moment of epiphany which occurred to be crucial to the whole further Ficowski’s literary biography. The young poet hailed the author of The Cinnamon Shops as his great master, the only one who dared to express the true importance of myth to the artistic imagination in such an unique way. The influence of Schulz’s prose on Ficowski’s poetry was unquestionable. However, this does not mean that Ficowski’s work was secondary to Schulz’s or less original. Jerzy Ficowski, like Schulz, emphasized the importance of childhood and myth in a poet’s imagination. On the other hand, both writers found themselves different ways to express those ideas in artistic way. To analyze the unique nature of artistic relationship between Bruno Schulz and Jerzy Ficowski, I refer to the famous Harold Bloom’s work The Anxiety of Influence. A theory of Poetry.     Metalepsa to trop w tradycyjnej retoryce na polskim gruncie najczęściej wyłączany z grupy najbardziej znaczących zabiegów, ze względu na swoje funkcje podporządkowywany metonimii. W polskim literaturoznawstwie był najczęściej omawiany z punktu widzenia teorii narratywistycznych, podążających śladem Gérarda Genette’a, znajdujących doskonałe uzasadnienie w eksperymentach postmodernistycznej prozy. Ten artykuł uzupełnia rekapitulację francuskiej linii dyskusji o metalepsie o wątek amerykańskiej, poetycko-filozoficznej debaty o relacjach retoryki, poetyki i epistemologii, która to debata w latach siedemdziesiątych XX w., przez Paula de Mana podążającego za retoryką Friedricha Nietzschego, przyczyniła się do wypracowania krytycznoliterackiego stanowiska Harolda Blooma, znanego z Lęku przed wpływem.
    In the context of Polish literary studies research on rhetoric, methalepsis is the least acknowledged among the most significant rhetorical devices subordinated to metonymy due to its poetical functions. The trope has recently become a part of the methodological analysis in the wake of the discussions on Gérard Genette’s narrative theories well-founded in the experiments performed in postmodern prose. This paper is meant to complement the existing recapitulation of French statements in the debate on metalepsis with the concepts developed and debated on by American circles. This philosophical and poetical polemic on the interrelations of rhetoric, poetics, and epistemology carried out in the 1970s by Paul de Man, who followed the rhetoric of Nietzsche, had a major impact on Harold Bloom’s approach to modern poetry which he reflected in his literary criticism theory The Anxiety of Influence.
