    This paper discusses the impact of compliance principles on an enterprise’s relationships with its key clients, as exemplifid by PGE Obrót S.A. The theoretical section of the paper outlines compliance-related issues. The defiition of the term and its essence are discussed. In addition, compliance objectives, tasks, functions and instruments are described. Moreover, the COSO framework and ISO 19600 standard is discussed in connection with compliance. On the basis of a survey, the empirical section assesses the signifiance of compliance in relation with the surveyed company and outlines some key fidings as a result.

    The platinum-group elements comprise a very small percentage of elements in the earth’s crust. The primary sources of them are meteorite impacts and volcanism. The study of PGEs anomaly in sediment profiles as a possible indicator of impact began in 1980, when was suggested a link between high levels of iridium and the mass extinction event in Late Cretaceous.

    Opis:
    The Gogołów-Jordanów Serpentinite Massif (GJSM) and the Braszowice-Brzeźnica Massif (BBM) are the largest serpentinite outcrops in the Fore-Sudetic Block (NE part of the Bohemian Massif, Central Europe). The GJSM is a peridotitic member of the Variscan Ślęża Ophiolite (SW Poland). Podiform bodies (veins and pockets) of chromitite are found on the Czernica Hill (GJSM) and on the Grochowiec Hill (BBM) within strongly serpentinized harzburgites which occur several hundred metres below Paleo-Moho. Chromitites consist of rounded chromite grains up to 3 cm across, and of chlorite filling the interstices. The veins are embedded in serpentine-olivine-chlorite aggregates. Relics of Mg-rich olivine (Fo95-96) occur in massive chromitite in the BBM. The bulk-rock total PGEs content is very low (42-166 ppm) and the PGE pattern is negatively sloped towards Pt and Pd and depleted relative to chondrite. The primary chromite I is aluminous (Cr# 0.50-0.52, Mg# 0.60-0.70). The highly aluminous and magnesian (Cr# 0.38, Mg# 0.80) chromite Ia occurs locally in the BBM. The secondary chromite II is enriched in Cr and impoverished in Al (Cr# 0.57-0.69), it replaces chromite I. Both chromite I and II contain small amounts of Ti (<0.14 wt% TiO2). Silicate inclusions in chromite are scarce. The composition and mode of occurrence of both the GJSM and the BBM chromitites are similar, thus they were formed probably under the same conditions. Textures of the chromitites suggest their magmatic origin. Their current geological position indicates their emplacement and crystallization in the uppermost mantle harzburgites occurring below the Moho Transition Zone (MTZ). The chromitites and hosting harzburgites were subjected to the greenschist-facies metamorphic overprint. The moderate Cr# and low PGEs contents suggest that the chromitites originated in the arc setting, thus their host ophiolite is of supra-subduction type.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań właściwości mas formierskich z węglika krzemu przeznaczonych do otrzymywania elementów silników lotniczych metodą odlewania precyzyjnego. Całkowite stężenie fazy stałej w ceramicznych masach lejnych z SiC wynosiło 60% wag. Spoiwem konstrukcyjnym była nanodyspersja polimerowo-ceramiczna zawierająca koloidalny Al2O3. Jako spoiwa modyfikujące zastosowano wodne roztwory glikolu polietylenowego (PGE) o ciężarach cząsteczkowych 6000, 10000 i 20000 g/mol, które dodawano w ilościach 5%, 10% i 15% wagowych w stosunku do proszku. Proszek SiC charakteryzowano pod względem: wielkości cząstek metodą dyfrakcji laserowej i za pomocą skaningowego mikroskopu elektronowego (SEM) oraz składu fazowego i chemicznego za pomocą dyfraktometrów rentgenowskich XRD i XRF. Masy formierskie charakteryzowano pod względem: lepkości dynamicznej, czasu wypływu oraz adhezji do płyty (tzw. test płyty) i grubości warstwy. Pomiary te przeprowadzano przez 96 h w warunkach laboratoryjnych w temperaturze 21ºC. Otrzymane wyniki pokazały, że masy lejne z SiC zawierające nanodyspersję oraz PGE charakteryzują się obiecującymi właściwościami i mają szansę zostać zastosowane w odlewnictwie precyzyjnym.
    In the present paper properties of silicon carbide slurries in manufacturing shell moulds for investment casting of aircraft turbine elements were studied. Ceramic SiC slurries with a solid concentration of 60 wt. % were applied. As a structural binder nanodispersion containing colloidal Al2O3 was used. The poly(ethylene glycol) (PGE) with molecular weight 6000, 10000 and 20000 g/mol as a rheological modificators were added at different amount: 5, 10, 15 wt. %. Characterization of SiC powder were made by: grain size by laser diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray diffraction (XRD, XRF) methods. The properties of ceramic slurries such as: relative and dynamic viscosity, plate (plate weight test) and wax adhesion were studied by a range of techniques. These measurements were taken in laboratory conditions by 96 hours at temperature 21ºC. The results shows that SiC-based slurries, nanodispersion binder and PGE meet the investment casting requirements of aircraft turbine parts and had promising properties.

    Na Powszechnej Wystawie Krajowej w Poznaniu (16 maja – 30 września 1929), będącej podsumowaniem dorobku dziesięciu lat istnienia niepodległej Polski w dziedzinie gospodarczej, społecznej i kulturalnej, nie zabrakło zagadnień związanych z szeroko pojętym tematem książki. Była ona obecna i widoczna w wielu pawilonach wystawowych (np. instytucji kulturalno-oświatowych, wychowania fizycznego, pracy kobiet, oświaty rolniczej i kultury wsi, w dziale bibliotek w Pałacu Rządowym), ale w dwóch miejscach eksponowano ją w sposób szczególny. W dziale Piękna Książka mieszczącym się w Pałacu Sztuki położono nacisk na zewnętrzną szatę książki i pokazano prace artystów grafików, wydawców, drukarzy i introligatorów. W pawilonie Prasa i Książka, zaprojektowanym przez Rogera Sławskiego, obok stoisk redakcji różnych tytułów prasowych umieszczono stoiska 20 wydawców książek z całej Polski (takich jak Gebethner i Wolff, M. Arct, Zakład Narodowy im. Ossolińskich, „Książnica-Atlas”, Drukarnia i Księgarnia Św. Wojciecha). Poznań przez kilka dni był ponadto stolicą polskiej książki – do miasta zjechali również miłośnicy książki i ludzie zawodowo z nią związani. W dniach 29 maja – 2 czerwca 1929 roku odbyły się II Zjazd Bibliotekarzy Polskich i IV Zjazd Bibliofilów Polskich, połączone z jubileuszem stulecia istnienia Biblioteki Raczyńskich i stulecia pierwszego wydawnictwa Biblioteki Kórnickiej.
    The Polish General Exhibition, which was held in Poznań between May16 and September 30, 1929) and summarized the economic, social and cultural achievements of independent Poland following the ten years of its existence, also included a number of manifestations that related to the broadly understood subject of books. This was particularly visible in a large number of exhibition sites (pavilions) (e.g. those of cultural and educational institutions, physical ducation centres, women’s and agricultural education institutions and in the library section of the Government Palace). However, two exhibition sites were particularly involved in the promotion of books. In the department of Beautiful Book, housed in the Palace of Arts, a particular attention was given to the presentation of the external appearance of the book and development of book design. The department featured works of a number of artists, art editors, publishers, printmakers and bookbinders. In the Press and Book pavilion, designed by Roger Sławski, next to the stalls presenting different editorial offices of newspapers and magazines, stalls of 20 publishers from all over Poland displayed their books (Gebethner i Wolff, M. Arct, Zakład Narodowy im. Ossolińskich, “Książnica-Atlas” and Drukarnia i Księgarnia Św. Wojciecha, among others). As a result, throughout a few days Poznań was a capital of Polish book when the city became a meeting point for book lovers and people professionally involved in book trade and publishing. Between May 29 and June 2, 1929, the 2nd.  Convention of Polish Librarians and the 4th. Convention of Polish Book Lovers were held,accompanied by the centenary celebrations of the Raczyński Library and the first publishing house of the Kórnik Library.
