    This paper analyzes theoretical methods of the development and quality control in the company based on the Kaizen philosophy. Particular attention was paid to the stages of continuous improvement and employee involvement in the implementation of quality policy. In the practical part, research based on method diagnostic survey was carried out on the significance of Kaizen implementation in the automotive industry company, where almost half of the improvement ideas reported by employees is implemented into business practice.

    The effectiveness and improving the efficiency of machine parks are not sufficient to build a sustainable competitive advantage, but is heavily dependent on corporate culture and people’s commitment. Making the change should be based on solid foundations, such as a commitment to teamwork, raising morale, discipline and related activities as communication, self-reliance and skills. It is also important to refer to the analytical methods, on the basis of which you can see the progress and adaptation to the change. The subject of study was a three years period of transformation the company, which recorded losses financial and held back payment of wages due to fulfillment of production plan (30-40%) over the previous few years and then increase productivity and full implementation of the plan.

    The paper presents a case study of the practical use of Deming cycle in a manufacturing company, from the plastics processing industry, from the sector of small and medium-sized enterprises. The paper is a study of literature in the field of continuous improvement and characterized by a cycle of continuous improvement, called the Deming cycle, or PDCA cycle. This cycle was used as a solution to quality problems which occurred during production of photo frames: discolorations and scorches on the surface of the frame. When measures were introduced to reduce the number of non-conformities, a decrease by more than 60% was observed.

    Przedsiębiorstwa chcąc osiągnąć przewagę konkurencyjną poszukują nowych sposobów wyróżnienia się na rynku. Starają się doskonalić swoje procesy i zapewnić im ciągłość. Oznacza to, że przedsiębiorstwa powinny zarządzać ciągłością działania. Jednak samo utrzymanie ciągłości działania nie wystarczy, aby móc sprawnie funkcjonować na dynamicznie zmieniającym się rynku. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie powiązań pomiędzy ciągłym doskonaleniem oraz zarządzaniem ciągłością działania, a także wpływu ciągłego doskonalenia na BCM (Business Continuity Management).
    Enterprises, which try to achieve a competitive advantage are looking for new ways to stand out in the market. They are trying to improve their processes and ensure their continuity. That means they should implement business continuity management. However, only manage business continuity is not enough to be able to function effectively in the rapidly changing market. This article presents the relationship between continuous improvement and business continuity management, as well as the impact of continuous improvement at BCM (Business Continuity Management).

    In the chapter it was made analysis of the possibility of improving the organization by using PDCA and SDCA cycles. It was defined what improving the quality is and was introduced possible way to use the PDCA cycle for solving a problem. Different versions of the PDCA cycle were discussed, i.e. PDSA, OPDCA, EPACA, PDAC. It was described a role of the SDCA cycle in the stabilization and the standardization. The chapter shows analysis of the relation among the PDCA cycle and SDCA. It was underlined, that in order to achieve the permanent success in improving should be use together PDCA and SDCA cycles. PDCA means improvement and SDCA is guaranteeing, by implementing the standard, holding improving effects and next their effective spreading.

    One of the principles and the basis of quality management is continuous improvement. The paper attempts to identify the intelligent improvement of quality management. According to the author the basis of an intelligent improvement is the knowledge resulting from the analysis of the needs and expectations of the company’s stakeholders. In turn, stakeholders orientation is the basis of corporate social responsibility concept. Therefore, in the first part of the paper the relationship existing between the quality management and the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is pointed out. In the second part the opportunity to improve quality management through the implementation of CSR principles is highlighted.

    The main purpose of this article is to present the results of research on improving the quality of a finished product by improving the internal control through the use of the PDCA cycle. The research undertaken was carried out by using the case study method supported by the analysis of documentation originating from the surveyed enterprise and the technique of intelligence and observation. Before the study was started, a number of defective finished products was analysed, divided into five main types. Based on the observations made, the disadvantages were assigned to individual work stations and methods of quality improvement were established on each of them. In the next stage the necessary changes were made according to the specifications. The summary of the whole article is a discussion of the results obtained in the field of improving the quality of the finished product in the surveyed enterprise.
    Głównym celem prezentowanego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badań dotyczących poprawy jakości produktu końcowego poprzez poprawę kontroli wewnętrznej dzięki zastosowaniu cyklu PDCA. Podjęte badania zostały przeprowadzone z użyciem metody studium przypadku popartej analizą dokumentacji pochodzącej z badanego przedsiębiorstwa oraz techniką wywiadu i obserwacji. Przed rozpoczęciem badania przeanalizowano szereg wadliwych produktów gotowych, podzielonych na pięć głównych typów. Na podstawie dokonanych obserwacji przypisano wady poszczególnym stanowiskom pracy i ustalono metody poprawy jakości na każdym z nich. W następnym etapie dokonano niezbędnych zmian zgodnie ze specyfikacjami. Podsumowaniem całego artykułu jest omówienie wyników uzyskanych w zakresie poprawy jakości gotowego produktu w badanym przedsiębiorstwie.

    The article describes a research project conducted by the authors in 2015 in one of the manufacturing companies of the automotive industry in Poland. Described manufacturing company engaged in the production of body frame of truck cargo space. The aim of the project was to improve the part of production process involving assembling walls in one production area. The article describes the project realization, starting from defining the problem, identifying measures to improve the organization of production process, then selecting analytical tools of the current situation and in brief selecting improvement tools that were implemented in manufacturing company. As a result of the research work identified measures have been improved as explained in the article.

    Each organization in order to survive and develop (in a constantly changing business environment) must be constantly perfected. These activities are long-term and comprehensive efforts to continuously improve processes and solve problems. One of the important processes of production company is the process of preparing production for its serial run. The article presents the concept of continuous improvement methods of the production preparation process carried out on the basis of the processes PPAP and PPF, using the Deming PDCA cycle.

    The main focus of this paper is to integrate the application of Total Quality Management & Kaizen in improvement of Engineering students. Most Engineering students get depressed when they can’t understand the topics & fail to cut a good figure in the semester final exam as well as there CGPA becomes poor. 80-90% students blame the curriculum & system but it is not easy to change the system rapidly. The irony is, in Bangladesh most of the time is spent to memorize books for good academic performance. The Engineering Education Curriculum is mainly memorizing based. Students have to learn a lot of theory & write them in the exam as given in reference books to get good marks. This system makes students bookish & discourages them from creativity & innovation. The evaluation system in this educational system only represents how much a student spends time for academic studies not the creativity, intelligence, passion & dedication etc. This makes frustrated who are involved in innovative projects, research or contests. Without creativity & innovation it is not possible to advance the science & technology which is the main purpose of Engineering. In this research a structured & detailed process of TQM & Kaizen has been discussed & showed which is suitable to achieve which goal. One is for determining & analyzing problems & another is one of the best process to achieve a satisfactory outcome in academic & professional development process.

    The need of being competitive and will to meet clients' needs makes organizations form mining branch improve their actions. There is a wide variety of system-like solutions for such organizations, such as: quality management system, environment management system, and security and safety management system and social responsibility system. The tendency of implementing and connecting some of the above mentioned solutions has resulted in the integrated management systems. An organization which is prepared in such a way often decides for the next step which allows for self-improving even more efficiently, which in turn results in a quicker reaction to clients' needs- the implementation of process-like attitude. The process-like attitude allows to identify weak elements of organization as well as help to improve them and identify those which should be included in an organization.
    Potrzeba konkurencyjności i chęć sprostania oczekiwaniom klienta wymusza na organizacjach branży wydobywczej doskonalenie działania. Wsparcie działalności zapewniają różnorakie rozwiązania systemowe w dziedzinie zarządzania: system zarządzania jakością, system zarządzania środowiskiem, system zarządzania bezpieczeństwem i higiena pracy oraz system dotyczący odpowiedzialności społecznej. Tendencja wdrażania kilku wymienionych rozwiązań i łączenie ich w jednej organizacji spowodowało powstanie zintegrowanych systemów zarządzania. Tak przygotowane organizacje decydują się często na kolejny krok, umożliwiający o wiele skuteczniejsze samodoskonalenie się, a w efekcie szybsze reagowanie na potrzeby klienta. Tym rozwiązaniem jest wdrożenie podejścia procesowego. Pozwala ono wychwytywać słabe elementy działania organizacji, by je usprawnić oraz identyfikować te, które powinny zostać włączone w działanie organizacji.

    Opis:
    Improving the educational process through evaluation requires adopting new concepts and approaches. In addition to the traditional methodologies applied in this field, such as observation or surveys, business methods are increasingly being implemented, including the Deming cycle or selected elements of project management methodologies. Their application allows for a holistic and unbiased view of the quality of teaching and learning. This article aims to illustrate and evaluate the usefulness of project management methodologies in identifying Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and risks in creating and evaluating academic courses. The subject of the research was the course “Creativity and Decision-making”, and the main method of the research, which was conducted in four cycles from 2020 to 2023, was the Deming cycle (PDCA). Data collection was based on data triangulation, including unstructured interviews with students and experts, as well as participant observation. Content analysis with a categorisation key was used to analyse the data, with the results presenting lists of extracted critical success and risk factors determining the quality of the course. The implemented procedure represents an innovative approach to the evaluation of academic courses, at the core of which is the creation and updating of two substantively opposing lists: the determinants of learning successes and failures constituting of a map of strategic control points, and a basis for the improvement of the educational process.

    In the chapter were put through examination stages of the manufacturing process of the unit package in the enterprise from printing branch. In analysis focused on the identification of disagreements appearing during the production. For determining the structure of the disagreement of unit package a Pareto-Lorenz diagram was used. Classification of causes of the disagreement was carried out with using the FMEA method. In analysis of received results was focused on methods of quality improving of packages in connecting with the Deming cycle, PDCA and the SDCA cycle of the standardization in the purpose of fulfilling requirements of the customer.
