Opis:
Dynamic developement of polimeric production in last few years, makes aplication of this materials in machine construction very common. Very good trybology properties of polymeric materials, cause that they are very often apply as an sliding elements, specialy in the sliding bearings. The essentiall adventages these polymers are suppression of tremblings, considerable durability in corrosive and special (aggressive environment, lack of lubrication etc.) conditions. The main requrements of the slide polymeric bearings, are good stability of position of bearing elements. The bearings should be characterized stable work parameters after a running-in process. The most often apply sliding couples in sliding bearings construction including shaft and bush is coupple metal - polymer. In coupples metal - polymer, the bush is usually made from polymer. This paper shows results of tribological investigation of influence the machining track direction in the steel element surface on the selected polymers tribology properties during a running-in process sliding coupple. In addition analysis of investigation results prove that the circuital direction track of the mashining on the toe surface ist most advantageous.

Objective: To assess taekwondo sparring performance variables, such as joint ranges of motion, reaction times, and kicking foot speeds, to serve as a framework for developing sport-specific classification in Para-taekwondo competition. Methods: After a standard taekwondo warm up, athletes executed five popular scoring techniques, back kick, cut kick, fast kick, turning kick, and tornado kick five times each (25 total). Kinematic and kinetic variables were recorded by a motion capture system of seven infrared cameras and two force plates. Maximum joint range of motion, foot velocities, and reaction time were calculated. Results: Collapsed over kick, maximum hip abduction motion, maximum hip flexion, maximum knee flexion, peak foot velocity, reaction time for male athletes were 47.8 ±10.4°, 46.3 ±7.6°, 105.3 ±14.0°, 11.5 ±2.4 m/s, and 0.46 ±0.06 s respectively. maximum hip abduction motion, maximum hip flexion, maximum knee flexion, peak foot velocity, reaction time for female athletes were 49.1 ±6.8°, 43.9 ±11.0°, 94.2 ±13.7°, 10.9 ±2.2 m/s, and 0.48 ±0.11 s respectively. Conclusions: The results of this study provide a foundational framework for future studies designed to compare and assess Para-taekwondo athletes with various physical and neurological impairments. From this, future studies may move towards developing practical on-site sport specific testing methods which may ultimately assist in making taekwondo-specific classification for Para-taekwondo competitions.

Excavation photos of the earthwork of Altheim from 1914 show a fully-developed Luvisol (para-brown earth). In 2012, fieldwork recommenced at the site and revealed a second ditched enclosure as well as the serious impact of soil erosion: In the course of a century about 0.4 m of the ditch feature has been lost. In comparison with the total amount of erosion since the creation of the earthwork in the 37th/36th century BC the loss of soil material has dramatically accelerated during the past century.

Ewangelizacja w mediach społecznościowych (szerzej: w mediach elektronicznych) przybiera formy wizualne, jak i tekstowe. Do tych ostatnich należy zaliczyć SMS, tweet czy post na Facebooku. Ich formalne podobieństwo wynika przede wszystkim z długości wpisów, których istotną cechą jest zwięzłość (brevitas), domagająca się krótkości tekstu. Do wyznaczników genologicznych tych form należy również zaliczyć: podobieństwo do komentarza, związek z tekstem biblijnym, brak komponentu liturgicznego oraz pierwotność formy tekstowej. Autor postuluje więc używanie wobec analizowanych form zbiorczego pojęcia „formy para-kaznodziejskie”, a nie „formy kaznodziejskie”, ponieważ brak im istotnego wyznacznika, jakim jest wygłoszenie.
Evangelization in social media (or more broadly: in digital media) takes visual and textual forms. The latter include a text, tweet or Facebook post. Their formal similarity results mainly from the size of entries, the essential feature of which is conciseness (brevitas), requiring the message to be short. The genological determinants of these forms also include: a similarity to a commentary, the connection with a biblical text, the lack of a liturgical component and the primacy of the textual form. The author proposes to use the collective term “para-preaching forms” instead of “preaching forms” in relation to the analysed forms, since they are not delivered in front of an audience.

The paper reports on a comprehensive set of experimentally measured orthopara- H2 and para-ortho-D2 separation factors at low temperature adsorption on an especially prepared sample of X type zeolite. The zeolite was investigated in its lithium cationic form by a new version of the gas solid chromatographic technique ECMA (Elution Chromatography with Modifying Adsorbates). Six types of eluents were used: four pure gases He, Ne, H2, D2, and two mixed eluents – He-H2 and He- D2 various compositions. The new ECMA version gives results of high precision. At easily attainable temperatures 77-50 K and practically suitable fractional coverages 0.6-0.8, the selectivity of adsorbent LiX ranges from 1.45 to 2.0 for ortho-para-H2, and 1.108 - 1.254 for para-ortho-D2. A low ortho-para-conversion catalytic activity and high selectivity of new sorbent LiX allow separation of orthopara- isomers of dihydrogens by Moving Temperature Gradient Adsorption technique.

It is well known that starting with real structure, the Cayley-Dickson process gives complex, quaternionic, and octonionic (Cayley) structures related to the Adolf Hurwitz composition formula for dimensions \(p = 2, 4\) and \(8\), respectively, but the procedure fails for \(p = 16\) in the sense that the composition formula involves no more a triple of quadratic forms of the same dimension; the other two dimensions are \(n = 2^7\). Instead, Ławrynowicz and Suzuki (2001) have considered graded fractal bundles of the flower type related to complex and Pauli structures and, in relation to the iteration process \(p \to p + 2 \to p + 4 \to ...\), they have constructed \(2^4\)-dimensional “bipetals” for \(p = 9\) and \(2^7\)-dimensional “bisepals” for \(p = 13\). The objects constructed appear to have an interesting property of periodicity related to the gradating function on the fractal diagonal interpreted as the “pistil” and a family of pairs of segments parallel to the diagonal and equidistant from it, interpreted as the “stamens”. The first named author, M. Nowak-Kepczyk, and S. Marchiafava (2006, 2009a, b) gave an effective, explicit determination of the periods and expressed them in terms of complex and quaternionic structures, thus showing the quaternionic background of that periodicity. In contrast to earlier results, the fractal bundle flower structure, in particular petals, sepals, pistils, and stamens are not introduced ab initio; they are quoted a posteriori, when they are fully motivated. Physical concepts of dual and conjugate objects as well as of antiparticles led us to extend the periodicity theorem to structure fractals in para-quaternionic formulation, applying some results in this direction by the second named author. The paper is concluded by outlining some applications.

A simple calculation model that was proposed to determine the value of the heat transfer coefficient during of refrigerant condensation in channel in the area of superheated vapour. The model used a two thermal effects, in example the chilling effect of superheated vapour and further is condensed her near the wall. The assumption was introduced that the heat transfer coefficient recognized a total termal efficiency of both these effects. In the single-phase area of superheated vapour was assumed that the intensity of heat transfer resulted directly from the forced movement of refrigerant in the channel and the traffic associated with the replacement of heat mass due to start of the local condensation in a channel on the wall. The additional movement of superheated vapour this causes from the flow core towards the sublayer boundary, which located at the cooled wall of the channel. The additionally intensifies the forced convection in the channel. The total value of the heat transfer coefficient during the refrigerant's condensation in the superheated vapour is the sum of two products. The first product recorded value of the heat transfer coefficient in the single-phase superheated vapour and its relative overheating in the flow core, the second heat transfer coefficient during the vapour condensation and the relative undercooling on the channel wall. It was proved that the heat transfer coefficient during forced convection in a channel of superheated vapour can be determined according to generally known dimensionless reported in the literature. This also applies to the calculation of the heat transfer coefficient for refrigerant's condensation in the flow. Also developed their own experimental correlations which described the increase the heat transfer due to the locally condensation of the start on the channel wall. It results from the additional movement of superheated vapour in the toward the boundary sublayer from the flow core, which located at the cooled channel wall. The value of the total heat transfer coefficient alpha(c) obtained from the calculation, compared with the results of the experimental investigations for R134a and R404A refrigerants, concerning a channel with diameter d = 0,98-13 mm. It was said that in the range +/- 25% occurs with the results of the experimental investigations compatibility the calculation results for the 75% points. Despite considerable simplifications proposed the calculation model can be recommended to conducted the calculations the value of heat transfer coefficient during the refrigerant's condensation in the superheated vapour in the channel. Because it takes into account the relative superheating vapour in the flow core and the relative undercooling refrigerant on the wall in a channel. This allows to lead calculations of local condensation in the whole range since its inception, the proper condensation to obtain, when the vapour temperature reaches the saturation temperature T-s in the flow core.

The article problematizes the form of the “para-dictionary” used by the authors of stereotypical collections in the 19th century (Flaubert, Rigaud, Bloy). The meaning of these numerous published collections, the outbreak of the nineteenth neo-encyclopedicism, is not limited to narrowly understood didacticism and bourgeois criticism of “bȇtise”. The form used in them is based on the paradox that determines its uniqueness. The starting point for studying this paradoxical form is the semantic tension between ossification, repetition, symbolized by the stereotype and literary character of these “para-dictionaries”, which through irony, humor, linguistic gloss, original selection are examples of creative transformation “ossified”, which is the opposite of originality and repeated. In the twentieth and twenty-first century, the use of the “para-dictionary” form leads to the redefinition of certain genres, as is the case with Genette’s innovative autobiography.

The process of adsorption of water vapour at T= 293 K on montmorillonite (Wyoming Bentonite) saturated with Li⁺, Na⁺, K⁺, Mg⁺⁺’ Ca⁺⁺ and Ba⁺⁺ cations was studied. The experimental measurement were carried out by using the vacuum microbalance technique. Additionally, porosity of the samples were investigated by using the mercury porosimeter. The experimental adsorption isotherms were described by the so-called exponential adsorption equation. The coefficients of this equation define the energy distribution function, which characterizes energetic heterogeneity of adsorbing surfaces. These functions provide additional characteristics of adsorbing systems and are useful while discussing adsorption properties.
Badano proces adsorpcji pan wodnej na montmorylonicie wysyconym jonami Li⁺, Na⁺, K⁺, Mg²⁺ Ca²⁺, Ba²⁺. Pomiary prowadzono przy użyciu próżniowej mikrowagi sorpcyjnej, w temperatorze 293 K. Do opisu doświadczalnie otrzymanych izoterm adsorpcji zastosowano uogólnione równanie adsorpcji. Równanie to pozwala na wyznaczenie parametrów charakteryzujących niejednorodność energetyczną powierzchni adsorbentów. Dla badanych próbek montmorylonitu przeprowadzono też pomiary porozymetryczne. Dyskutowano związek pomiędzy niejednorodnością energetyczną powierzchni, porowatością i rodzajem kationu wysycającego a adsorpcją pary wodnej na montomorylonicie.

The presence of iron in pregnant leach solutions (PLS) is a common problem, and is generally removed using jarosite, goethite, hematite or para-goethite precipitation methods. Although these methods are successfully applied, significant amounts of nickel can be lost. In this study, iron precipitation was performed on a PLS obtained from agitation leaching of a lateritic nickel ore under atmospheric conditions using the para-goethite method. The PLS contained 2.62 g/dm3 Ni, 54.28 g/dm3 Fe and 0.14 g/dm3 Co. During the precipitation tests the effect of pH, time, temperature, and metal concentration were investigated. The influence of the key points, temperature and metal concentration, on nickel loss was explained in reference to SEM and XRD analyses. Ultimately, selective nickel and iron separation was achieved with complete iron precipitation and only 1.2% Ni loss.

Para-chloronitrobenzene (p-CNB), a hazardous and toxic substance, is widely used as an intermediary in chemical industries. p-CNB can cause methaemoglobinaemia due to electron-withdrawing properties of the nitro and chlorine groups. We present a case of a 23-year-old man suffering from thermal burns and p-CNB poisoning. In this case, severe methaemoglobinaemia was caused by the absorption of p-CNB through the burn wounds. Despite active treatment, such as the antidote of methylene blue, the patient’s methaemoglobinaemia progressed, with slowly increasing methaemoglobin (MetHb) level. This case highlights the complexity and difficulty of managing this type of injury. To our knowledge, this case can be the first case report describing methaemoglobinaemia induced by p-CNB in a patient with thermal burns.

The electro-synthesis of poly(aniline-co-para–aminophenol) on graphite electrode was examined using cyclic voltammetry (CV) over the potential window of −0.2 V to 1 V in phosphoric acid medium, which was comprised of potassium chloride and para–Toluene sulfonic acid (pTSA) as electrolyte support. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy was employed to identify the electro-synthesized copolymer while impedance techniques were used to determine charge transfer resistance (Rct) in modified and unmodified electrodes. After this, the electro-catalytic effect of the modified electrode on ascorbic acid was examined using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and a very strong response was observed. A negative shift of about 0.33 V was found in the peak anodic potentials for ascorbic acid. Measurement using DPV indicated a proper response by the electrode to a wide range of ascorbic acid concentrations, from 0.0001 to 0.0004 M. The peak anodic currents for increased concentrations showed a proper linear range.
