    The huge popularity of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) therapies and training has not been accompanied by knowledge of the empirical underpinnings of the concept. The article presents the concept of NLP in the light of empirical research in the Neuro-Linguistic Programming Research Data Base. From among 315 articles the author selected 63 studies published in journals from the Master Journal List of ISI. Out of 33 studies, 18.2% show results supporting the tenets of NLP, 54.5% - results non-supportive of the NLP tenets and 27.3% brings uncertain results. The qualitative analysis indicates the greater weight of the non-supportive studies and their greater methodological worth against the ones supporting the tenets. Results contradict the claim of an empirical basis of NLP.

    The article offers an analysis of the topic of negotiations, from the most concreto area (finances) to the most abstract (status and feelings), and then an analysis of the many meanings of the term profit, which in negotiations has three areas: mine, yours, or shared. Yet the estimation of profit requires a comparison with the idealsituation expectations or with other empirically available kinds of goods (profit). In all these, it is possible to modify the vision of a situation through tinkering or even systemic deception via the image of an anchor point, the extreme value. The concept of neuro-linguistic programming in particular includes a rich set of verbal manipulations, which may reflect the hidden intentions of a negotiating party. Even in an individual’s cognitive system, there exist tendencies for tinkering with the image of truth in order to protect the person’s good opinion of themselves. In the other part of the article, the authors discussed seven strategies of manipulation which are used in Polish business practice.
    Artykuł zawiera analizę tematyki negocjacji poczynając od najbardziej konkretnej (finanse) do najbardziej abstrakcyjnej (status i uczucia), a następnie analizuje wieloznaczność terminu „korzyść”, która w negocjacjach ma trzy sensy: moja, twoja albo wspólna. Jednak szacowanie korzyści wymaga procesu porównania z idealnymi oczekiwaniami albo z empirycznie dostępnymi innymi rodzajami dóbr (korzyści). Wszędzie tu można modyfikować wizję sytuacji poprzez manipulacje, a nawet systemowe mistyfikacje obrazem punktu zakotwiczenia, wartości krańcowej. Szczególnie koncepcja Neurolingwistycznego Programowania zawiera bogaty zestaw werbalnych manipulacji, które mogą odzwierciedlać ukryte intencje jednej z negocjujących stron. Nawet w systemie poznawczym jednostki pojawiają się tendencje do manipulacji obrazem prawdy tak, by uchronić dobre mniemanie na swój temat. W drugiej części artykułu omówiono siedem strategii manipulacji, które są wykorzystywane w polskiej praktyce biznesu.

    The paper was aimed at exploring the efficacy of Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) strategies on social anxiety people referring to counseling centers. To do this, the number of 30 people with social anxiety disorder who had referred for counseling was selected as the sample, and completed Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (1987). The pretest having been administered, 30 people were randomly placed in experimental and control groups respectively. The experimental group received ten sessions of training of neuro-linguistic programming strategies. The interventions were a combination of NLP tools, including the art of self-assertiveness, WACO system, Neuro-linguistic logical level, goal-setting, Switch system, chart sections, rapport, Metal model, encore and modeling. After the interventions were ended, the subjects of both groups were tested with Liebowitz Test twice. The data obtained were examined by using SPSS software ver.17 and statistical independent T Test. Research findings illustrated a significant difference between the experimental and control groups as regards posttest social anxiety scores (P = -0/001). Also, with regards to performance anxiety, a significant difference was seen between the two groups in the posttest (P = -0/001).

Zaprezentowano podstawy skutecznej komunikacji. Na podstawie wyników własnego badania ankietowego ukazano wpływ stosowania technik NLP na satysfakcję klienta z obsługi, a tym samym na jego opinię na temat przedsiębiorstwa.
    The article concerns Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It presents the history of NLP and the opportunities that this technique provides. It describes the way the human brain receives and processes information. It also presents the fundamentals of effective communication and on the basis of the author’s survey it shows the impact of the application of NLP on customer satisfaction with a service and, consequently, the opinion about the service provider.

    This paper focuses on Neuro-Linguistic Programming and its main presuppositions and concepts which could be used in the field of education. The basis of NLP method is based on human neurobiology and relates to the function of its brain. Neuro-linguistic programming refers to effective communication methods which are based on the change of people's perception and thinking. It consists of many techniques that improve communication. It also provides simple tools to work with emotions and to manage stress, strategies for encouraging creativity, time management, problem solving, motivation and learning. Thus, although NLP originates from psychotherapy, its techniques and tools were rapidly transferred to other areas of life. Education is one of the fields where NLP can be applied. Research indicates that using it in teaching and learning process can be beneficial both for students and teachers.
    Niniejszy artykuł koncentruje się na Programowaniu Neurolingwistycznym oraz jego głównych założeniach i koncepcjach, które można wykorzystać w dziedzinie edukacji. Podstawa metody NLP opiera się na neurobiologii człowieka i dotyczy funkcji jego mózgu. Programowanie neurolingwistyczne odnosi się do skutecznych metod komunikacji, opierających się na zmianie percepcji i myślenia ludzi. Składa się z wielu technik usprawniających komunikację i zapewnia proste narzędzia do pracy z emocjami i radzenia sobie ze stresem, strategie zachęcania do kreatywności, zarządzania czasem, rozwiązywania problemów, motywowania i uczenia się. Tak więc, chociaż NLP wywodzi się z psychoterapii, jej techniki i narzędzia zostały przeniesione do innych dziedzin życia. Badania wskazują, że wykorzystanie NLP w procesie nauczania i uczenia się może być korzystne zarówno dla uczniów, jak i nauczycieli.

    Opis:
    Effective communication is one of the basic pillars of activities for which cooperation of people is inevitable. At the same time, it is also a significant issue discussed in the context of managerial work, entrepreneurship, business, services, and many other areas of economic environment. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a significant attribute of improving the quality and effectiveness of communication. The NLP concept explains seemingly autonomous behaviour as constructed behaviour created by the series of consecutive stages which we often perceive as one action. By accepting the fact, that what we experience comes from programmed sequences of thinking and behaviour, NLP provides us with the knowledge and tools for discovering the structure of these programmes. Based on the identification of the attributes of neurolinguistics programming structure with the focus on communication and techniques of their implementation in managerial work, the aim of the paper is to verify the methods, which enable to specify the factors of assessing NLP in managerial work. The research was carried out on the sample of 124 managers, out of which 58 were women and 66 men. Based on the research results, two original NLP methods were verified: NLPC - Neuro linguistic programming communication and NLPT - Neuro linguistic programming techniques. By the means of a factor analysis, the factors of Representational systems and Rapport were extracted within the first methodology. Within the second methodology, the factors of Leading and Pacing were extracted. In the paper, the researchers present the basic psychometric parameters of both methodologies - eigenvalues, the percentage of explained variance, Cronbach’s alphas, intercorrelations of factors. Both methodologies contribute to the operationalization of the NLP issue. These methodologies can be used in managerial practice mainly in the area of education and training of managers.
    Skuteczna komunikacja jest jednym z podstawowych filarów działań, dla których współpraca ludzi jest nieunikniona. Jednocześnie jest to również istotna kwestia poruszana w kontekście pracy menedżerskiej, przedsiębiorczości, biznesu, usług i wielu innych obszarów środowiska gospodarczego. Programowanie neurolingwistyczne (NLP) jest istotnym atrybutem poprawy jakości i skuteczności komunikacji. Koncepcja NLP tłumaczy pozornie autonomiczne zachowanie jako skonstruowane zachowanie stworzone przez serię kolejnych etapów, które często postrzegamy jako jedno działanie. Akceptując fakt, że to, czego doświadczamy, pochodzi z zaprogramowanych sekwencji myślenia i zachowania, NLP dostarcza nam wiedzy i narzędzi do odkrywania struktury tych programów. W oparciu o identyfikację cech struktury programowania neurolingwistyki z naciskiem na komunikację i techniki ich wdrażania w pracy menedżerskiej, celem pracy jest weryfikacja metod, które pozwalają określić czynniki oceny NLP w pracy menedżerskiej. Badania przeprowadzono na próbie 124 menedżerów, z których 58 stanowiły kobiety a 66 mężczyźni. Na podstawie wyników badań zweryfikowano dwie oryginalne metody NLP: NLPC - Neurolingwistyczna komunikacja programistyczna i NLPT - Neurolingwistyczne techniki programowania. Za pomocą analizy czynnikowej, zostały wyodrębnione czynniki systemów reprezentacyjnych i dobrych stosunków w ramach pierwszej metodologii. W ramach drugiej metodologii wyodrębniono czynniki Wiodący i Stymulujący. W pracy przedstawiono podstawowe parametry psychometryczne obu metodologii - wartości własne, procent wyjaśnionej wariancji, alfa Cronbacha, interkorelacje czynników. Obie metodologie przyczyniają się do operacjonalizacji problemu NLP. Metodologie te mogą być stosowane w praktyce zarządczej, głównie w obszarze edukacji i szkolenia menedżerów.

    W artykule podjęto próbę scharakteryzowania wybranych zagadnień związanych ze zjawiskiem catfishing’u. Autor definiuje pojęcie catfishing’u, analizuje jego charakter prawny na tle obowiązujących w Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej regulacji prawnych i omawia wybrane aspekty prawnokarne i cywilnoprawne szantażu w cyberprzestrzeni, w szczególności przedstawiając w wyczerpujący sposób sankcje karne i cywilne związane ze zjawiskiem catfishing’u. Ponadto przedstawia autorski punkt widzenia na przedmiotowe kwestie, starając się wzbogacić prezentowaną argumentację.
    The article attempts to characterize selected issues related to the phenomenon of catfishing. The Author defines the concept of catfishing, analyzes its legal nature against the background of the legal regulations in force in the Republic of Poland and discusses selected criminal and civil law aspects of blackmail in cyberspace, in particular, comprehensively presenting criminal and civil sanctions related to the phenomenon of catfishing. In addition, presents the Author’s point of view on the issues in question, seeking to enrich the arguments presented.
