Opis:
The subject of my interest is to present the most important determinants of relations between the Russian Federation and Israel. The main purpose of this paper is to describe the current state of affairs in mutual contacts and their importance for international security. In addition, it will be important to try to answer the question of whether Russia will continue to play an important role as an economic and political partner of Israel in the near future, in the face of the gradual containment of the Syrian conflict. At the beginning, I intend to refer to the history of relations of both countries, dating back to the time of the existence of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the breaking of diplomatic relations after the Six-Day War in June 1967. In the following part of the discussion, I present the relations of both entities immediately after the collapse of the Soviet empire and coming to power of Vladimir Putin, who from the beginning of his term in office has sought to significantly improve contacts with Israel. Then, I raise the problem of Moscow-Tel Aviv contacts after Benjamin Netanyahu took over as prime minister again and after the Arab Spring, which implied the conflict in Syria, during which Russia and Israel established cooperation. It will also be important to trace the attitude of the authorities in Tel Aviv to the annexation of Crimea and the war in eastern Ukraine. I would also like to refer to the relationship of both entities on the historical and cultural level, as well as on the economic and military level. In the summary, I highlight future perspectives and try to determine whether the current relations of both countries will intensify in the face of the end of war in Syria, and whether we can observe a close alliance of both countries now and in the future, or a limited partnership, determined by the need to implement real policy in the world.

Opis:
Between 2009 and 2015, three early parliamentary elections have been held in Israel, which have led Likud party with Binjamin Netanyahu as the leader to the power. The role of this article is to analyse the election campaigns in these years, paying particular attention to the context of relations with the European Union. The work aims to answer the research question, what were the main issues raised by public opinion during the elections in 2009, 2013 and in 2015, and whether European subjects were important for Israeli politicians and their voters. The work used a behavioural method combined with the descriptive and analytical method, which was conducted primarily through the use of press releases and the Internet’s most important Israeli newspapers.

Opis:
The aim of this article is to analyze multidimensional links between the colonization of the Palestinian territories and the phenomenon of corruption in Israel. The paper contains four chapters. First and the shortest one, describes how the Israeli society perceives the problem of corruption on the basis of the recent opinion polls. Second chapter is devoted to the blurred borderline between Israel and Palestinians. Third part is focused on dispossession of Palestinians by the Israeli authority. The last chapter depicts some examples of corruption among the top Israeli politicians including bribe-taking. In conclusions the author expresses the possibilities of further research.

Opis:
The author offers an analysis of the controversial Israeli Nation-State Law of 2018 and B. Netanyahu’s involvement in its adoption. He claims that its ideas manifest Netanyahu’s desire to depart from the state-centred, social democratic, and liberal views advocated by Ben Gurion. This desire stems from his strong disagreement with Israel’s founder’s claim and belief that secularism is a guarantee that Israel does not fall into the same trap as the leaders of the bicentennial Crusades – which ultimately failed. The author of the paper makes an insightful comparison of this law with the contents of Point 13 of Thomas Woodrow Wilson’s 1918 plan – a docu-ment from exactly 100 years before, designed to shape Europe after victory in the war against Russia, Prussia, and Austria-Hungary, on whose lands an independent Polish state was to be established.
