Opis:: The article is devoted to the study of the operation of the banking system of Ukraine during the war period. The key indicators of the banking sector have been analyzed, in particular, the number of banking institutions and the dynamics of assets and liabilities. The key financial results of the banking sector, namely net profit and loss, return on assets and capital have been analyzed. It is revealed that maintenance of operational efficiency and effective measures taken by the National Bank of Ukraine allowed the banking sector to adapt to the crisis conditions and make a profit under martial law.

Opis:: The article presents a study of the main determinants shaping the banking system of Ukraine in the 2018-2021 period, before the Russian invasion. In particular, the level of capitalization of the banking system, the number of banks in liquidation, the dynamics of assets growth and other indicators of the banking system were analyzed. Then the paper analyses the main measures introduced by the National Bank of Ukraine after February 24, when the Russian Federation started the war with Ukraine. These operational measures included: regulation of the foreign exchange market, ensuring the liquidity of the banking system, the operation of the electronic payment system and support for social benefits, the liquidation or preparation for the nationalization of Russian-controlled banks in Ukraine. The article also presents the assessment of the financial situation in Ukraine, after the first month of the war.

Автори представили рейтинг найстабільніших банків, котрі діють на території України. Окреслено перелік міжнародних фінансових холдингів, котрі мають свої дочірні банки в Укра- їні, та подано чинники, котрі забезпе- чили їм провідні місця у рейтинговій таблиці. Представлено перелік факто- рів, котрі мають найбільший вплив на розвиток банківської системи України.
The successful development of any country depends on its economic growth, which is impossible without a developed and structured financial system. Banking system is an extremely important part of the financial system of any country. The detailed analysis of the main indicators dynamics of the banking system of Ukraine functioning was made in the article. The authors researched the main trends of the European Union banking system development. The key steps of the banking system of Ukraine reformation were outlined in the paper. The authors presented the rating of the most stable banks operating in Ukraine. The list of the international financial holdings, which have their subsidiary banks in Ukraine, was outlined and the factors ensuring them the top positions in the rating table were presented in the article. The list of factors, that have the greatest influence on the banking system of Ukraine development, was presented.
