Opis:
Within pedagogical sciences, didactics appears in at least two forms: as a subject taught in higher education and as one of branches of pedagogy. That is why in the field of didactics there is more than one type of rationality; they vary with respect to different purposes of two forms of didactics mentioned above. The main purpose of the article is to analyze some issues related to rationality present in both forms of didactics. In the context of the subject taught in universities, several issues are discussed, e.g. the issue of relationships between structure of didactic content and structure of teacher activities during the teaching process. With respect to didactics as one of the branches of pedagogy, Karl R. Popper’s standpoint is used to discuss the problem of asymmetrical relationships between verification and invalidation of prepositions in the field of didactics.

The early works of Ibsen – which concentrate on historical issues from the old Norwegian past, using material from sagas, folk-tales, and songs – give us a picture of an author who is focused on a national programme. In accordance with the Romantic philosophy of history (historism), Ibsen uses its main categories of causation and explanation of the national past, mainly positing individual ideas as a major shaping force of the course of history and the impact of great personalities. At the same time, Ibsen presents the path for Norwegians to build a strong and independent nation, and the conditions that have to be fulfilled for that to happen.

This article focuses on young people in Poland and their ways of constructing identity. The research is based on fieldwork conducted in 2013-2014 among (605) Polish secondary school students. The respondents were asked to answer the “Twenty Statements Test” and, later on, to write down their own associations related to the notion of identity. The obtained data comprises answers provided by the respondents, whose places of residence are characterised by a high num- ber of people declaring nationality other than Polish (according to the Polish National Survey of 2011) and whose places of residence are homogenous in terms of national affi liations. The collected empirical data was suffi cient to indicate six milieus in which human identity is constructed: personality, gender, family, religion, language, and “space” (i.e., people’s identifications with a region, state, or nation). The first four milieus were very frequently placed in statements produced by the secondary school students. When confronted with the question “Who are you”, the secondary school students were no longer willing to say “I’m a Pole/ German/Silesian”. Perhaps the 21st century marks a time when nations or states are no longer relevant spaces of domestication and people are more willing to refer to cities or regions in their quest for identification.

In the article, the author describes an evaluation regarding the identity of the indigenous population of Upper Silesia against the specific of this region background. First of all, he focuses on the evaluation concerning the identity of this group after 1989 – on the multidimensional Silesianess. He shows the phenomenon of joining the German minority with many Silesians, which creates the regional movements especially Silesian organizations that promote Silesianess and strive for acknowledgment of the Silesian nationality and Silesian dialect for the language. In retrospect, an increasing popularity of such organizations may be noticed among the Silesians due to their nationality declarations. According to census 2002 and 2011, the Silesians represent the largest minority group that so far has unregulated legal status. For years, Silesian organizations endeavor to change this situation. They try to dispose the Polish authorities to amend the act on national and ethnic minorities and on the regional languages to find in the act the Silesians and their dialect receive the language status.

Opis:
Stanislawow province was one of the borderland provinces of The Second Polish Republic and was part of Eastern Małopolska. This area was inhabited by people of several nationalities - Ukrainians, Poles, Jews and Germans but the dominant group were Ukrainians. The fact that the numerical superiority of the Ukrainian population over the other nationalist groups shaped to a large extent, the internal situation of the province Stanislawow. Its manifestation in the first period of the province in the years 1921-1923 were the attitudes of the population towards the important events that took place on its territory. Their example was especially avoiding the Ukrainian population from participating in the census in 1921, and the boycott by a significant percentage of Ukrainians parliamentary elections in 1922. The reason for such behavior of the Ukrainian community was among its vulnerability to anti-Polish propaganda, conducted by the Ukrainian environmental disagreeing with the nationality of Eastern Małopolska to the Polish, as well as the fear of the consequences of terrorist actions organized by the Polish state hostile to the Ukrainian militia. On the attitude of the population of other nationalities Stanislawow province consisted of both loyalty, indifference as well as looking at taking action of their own interests.

Opis:
The subject of this article is to analyze the meaning of the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of nationality in the light of the provisions of primary and secondary European Union law and the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which is inherent to the functioning of the internal market and EU citizenship. The prohibition of discrimination on grounds of nationality is undoubtedly one of the main goals of the European Union[1] in the social and economic context, which was reflected in the localization of the matter in question in the primary law of the European Union[2], in secondary law and in the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). The Treaty on European Union (TEU)[3] and the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU)[4] indicate equality as one of the EU values (Article 2 TEU), require it to be promoted and combat all discrimination (Articles 8 and 10 TFEU) and prohibit discrimination due to the criteria indicated therein (Articles 18 and 19 TFEU). In secondary law, this principle was expressed primarily in the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council No. 492/2011 on the free movement of workers within the Union and in art. 24 of Directive 2004/38/EC 2004 on the right of citizens of the Union and their relatives to move freely[5]. A special role in this area is played by the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), which stated that all authorities of the Member States are obliged to refuse to apply a provision of national law that is contrary to the prohibition of discrimination on the grounds of citizenship (Article 18 TFEU)[6]. Moreover, national measures may be examined in the light of art. 18 TFEU, but only to the extent that they apply to situations not covered by specific non-discrimination provisions included in the Treaty[7]. The author puts forward the thesis that the analysis of CJEU jurisprudence reveals a visible dissonance between the application of national regulations of the Member States and the provisions of EU law in this matter, which significantly hinders the implementation of the principle of non-discrimination in practice. Discrepancies mainly occur in domestic legal acts due to the improper drafting of national legal provisions and / or their misinterpretation by national judicial or administrative authorities. It should be emphasized that the Member States are obliged to comply with EU law, which is not tantamount only to the obligation of state authorities to respect directly applicable acts, or to implement required regulations into internal law, but also the obligation to interpret and apply internal law in a manner that does not violate the requirement resulting from EU law[8]. Judicial and administrative authorities of the Member States should therefore interpret national law as far as possible, in line with EU law, because the limits of the pro-EU interpretation will be determined by the powers conferred by domestic law[9]. The study uses the legal-comparative method, consisting in a comparative analysis of the legal systems of the Member States and the European Union in the field of non-discrimination on the basis of nationality, rights and restrictions on the freedom of movement of authorized entities. Comparative verification of EU acts with the internal standards of individual EU Member States allows to reveal the degree of advancement of the implementation process of EU law provisions under the free movement of EU citizens and their family members in the discussed area in the legal systems of European Union Member States. The purpose of this analysis is to, inter alia, diagnose areas in which these countries have not implemented or improperly implemented EU regulations, or have misinterpreted them. The second method used is the method of analyzing the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union - the rulings of the CJEU constitute a significant part of the study. The case law in question covers the period from the establishment of the Treaties of Rome to the present day. The use of the latter obligated the author to apply the comparative method of judgments based on same or similar legal bases in similar circumstances from different stages of the evolution of the free movement of citizens of the European Union and their family members under the prohibition of discrimination on the basis of nationality. Acquiring competences in the area of physical culture depends on the intention of physical activity, as well as on the level of physical fitness. It is important to learn the factors determining physical fitness; therefore the purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the stages of readiness for regular physical activity and the level of physical fitness of children from Poland and Turkey. The research included pupils aged 14 living in the Raciborz area in Poland and in the area of the city of Balikesir in Turkey. Readiness for regular physical activity was assessed using a special algorithm in accordance with the concept of the transtheoretical model (TM). In this research the interpretation of TM was accepted for the assessment of intentional behavior. To determine the level of physical fitness, the European Fitness Test - Eurofit was used. Statistical analyses showed statistically significant differences. Of the 8 tests carried out, in six - a larger level was obtained by respondents from Poland and in five of them these were statistically significant differences. In 2 of the tests carried out, the young people from Turkey reached an average higher level. The correlation coefficient between the stages of readiness to undertake physical activity and physical fitness tests was calculated to achieve the main objective. The vast majority were low dependencies. On the basis of the conducted research, it was found that the studied group of Polish youth was characterized by a higher level of physical fitness than their peers in Turkey. There was no significant relationship between the stages of readiness to undertake physical activity and the results of fitness tests. The need for further research was concluded.

The rich socio-cultural history of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a single territorial, political, state and legal and administrative rounded whole, can be seen in several separated simultaneous fl ows arising as a result of the deep-rooted ethno-confessional division of this area, where religion, as the dominant integrating cultural factor, also represented the main distinctive element of the national identity of the three Bosnian constituent peoples, which the unaltered state agrees with to this day. As a unique area with religions at the border, and denominational boundaries at the edges of Catholicism and Orthodoxy among which Islam is wedged between, Bosnia and Herzegovina represents a unique civilizational bridge between East and West, where the followers of these religions see as their guardians, highlighting specifi c religious, cultural and national characteristics which establishes the opposition to the “other” and “diff erent” with which for centuries has coexisted. The most prominent features of identity and otherness which exist in symbiosis are articulated precisely on the borders as places of their meetings, which in turn have never been so impervious to keep the integration of diff erent ethnic and religious traditions followers, leading to ghettoisation and creating worlds closed for themselves, and long-term coexistence of diff erent and often confl icting civilizational-religious system characterized by a certain closeness of high culture of individual entities and openness, and mutual intertwining of which was out of the realm of popular culture.

Moldova is a country of many paradoxes. three state capitals, located on the territory of the historical Bessarabia. I wanted to conclude the problem of Moldova's national identity and its impact on education today, especially in the autonomous territories: Gagauzia and Transnistria. Moldova is split between: the East – growing power of Russia with her influence in Transnistria and the West – the European Union and Romania. Therefore, the issue of education in Moldova is due to bilingualism and dual citizenship. Lack of an official language makes it difficult to make reforms in education. Moldova in education, is trying to emphasize the uniqueness of national and ethnic.

As a country of immigration, Australia is an interesting laboratory of the dynamics of migrant settlement, diaspora development and sustainment. In this paper we discuss the Polish immigrant community in Australia: Australian Polonia, which is an example of a community of permanent settlers who blended into the Australian host community but retained enough elements of their distinct identity to be considered a part of the Polish emigrant diaspora. This is a traditional diaspora in that it largely excludes temporary migrants. We explore the nature of its attachment to Poland and Polish culture, and discuss the multiple identities of these migrants. The research question that we ask is: in what sense do members of Australian Polonia, ‘belong’ to the Polish diaspora, i.e. how are they attached to ‘things Polish’? Our sources of information include official statistics, mainly the Census of Population (2011), and a survey of Australian Polonia conducted in 2006.

The dispute over whether there exists a Silesian nation, Silesian nationality or whether Silesians are an ethnic group, has flared up in Poland, but mainly in the Silesian Voivodeship, on a surprisingly large scale. This rather fresh controversy, growing since the turn of the 80s and 90s of the last century, i.e. since the beginning of the transformation processes in Poland, takes place in public discussions and in the media, and its finale – in the courts. Some believe that the basis is the Silesians’ disappointment with the way the region has been transformed, through a destructive rather than creative restructuring, through closure of coal mines and steel mills, all of which has resulted in citizens’ impoverishment, in sudden outbreak of unemployment, and in the lack of any program or strategy for the region. The 1990s saw the appearance of an idea of recognizing the Silesian national distinctiveness, founded on a wave of renaissance of Silesian cultural identity. Loud became demands of reviving the idea of autonomy of the Silesian province, and the fight for recognition of Silesian nationality as a different social and political entity. The Silesians, convinced of the marginalization of indigenous people as well as of injustices and wrongs inflicted by the Polish authorities after World War II, in various ways, including the political and judicial ones, are attempting to gain the status of a national minority or, as in recent times, an ethnic one. It is hard not to agree with the thesis that these efforts fit in with the idea of multiculturalism, which – being an indicator of the level of democratization of all spheres of life – has accelerated the revival of regional identity in a large part of the population of Silesia and provided them with the ideological basis to articulate their needs, expectations and aspirations.

According to the National Census of Population and Housing 2011, Silesians are the second largest nationality in Poland. Nevertheless, Silesian nationality is not recognised under Polish law. In this paper, the main aspects of the identity of the Silesian people are discussed. Research was carried out using questionnaire-based interviews in ten municipalities in the Silesian Voivodeship, characterised by the greatest share of Silesians. The ethnic identity of Silesians is complex - more than half of the respondents declared dual nationality. Most of the respondents demand the recognition of the Silesian ethnolect as a regional language, and consequently, its inclusion as a school subject in Upper Silesia. The postulate of establishing autonomy is popular, with a model of the Silesian Voivodeship from the period of interwar Poland.

Štefan Polakovič - slovak ideologue and theoretician of the nationŠtefan Polakowice is a leading representative of the philosophy of the people inSlovakia. The opinions of Š. Polakovič about the nation changed. In the early period of creativeness he characterized the nation in terms of the organism. In his late works he was examining the substance of the nation in terms of atomism and moderate individualism. The fundamental metaphysical thesis about the existence of the nation is the one that the nation, just like a man, is a creation of God. Hence, the nation has the tasks to be accomplished designated by God. It is the duty of creative members of the nation to recognize the will of God in relation to the nation. Š. Polakovič in connection with the diversity concept of the nation recognized the need for existence of philosophical science of the nation - nationology. Nationology is to examine fundamental issues metaphysical, epistemological and axiological of the nation as being incomparable with any other object. Štefan Polakovič - słowacki ideolog i teoretyk naroduŠtefan Polakovič jest czołowym przedstawicielem filozofii narodu na Słowacji. Poglądy Š. Polakovicia na naród zmieniały się. We wczesnym okresie twórczości naród charakteryzował on w kategoriach organizmu. W późnej twórczości analizował istotę narodu w kategoriach atomizmu i umiarkowanego indywidualizmu.
