    Opis:
    This paper presents the results of a study on the content of lithogeochemical components (organic matter, Na, K, Mg, Ca, Mn, Fe, Cu and Zn) and grain-size composition of mineral matter in the bottom sediments of Morzycko Lake (Myślibórz Lakeland, NW Poland). This lake is large (342.7 ha) and deep (69 m). The catchment has a typical forested character (mainly in the middle part of the Słubia River valley) with agricultural area (mainly in the upland areas north of the lake). The diversity of concentrations of metals was analysed based on 44 samples from 22 representative sites, including surface sediments and sediments from 5 cm below the current lake bed. The results showed that the chemical composition and granulometry of bottom sediments depends on contemporary morphogenetic processes in the catchment of the Słubia River. Geochemical and grain-size indices varied due to changes in biological productivity, intensity of weathering of postglacial material making up the catchment, and potential for migration of metals to the lake with surface or underground runoff. An important aspect in assessing the degree of enrichment of the sediments in trace elements is the location of shallow parts of the lake near the tourist districts of Moryń.

    Artykuł traktuje o sowieckiej obecności w Soldin (obecnie Myślibórz w Polsce) w 1945 roku. Armia Czerwona wkroczyła do tego niewielkiego niemieckiego miasteczka 31 stycznia 1945 roku. Nieznany sowiecki żołnierz został zastrzelony przez niemieckiego oficera podczas próby gwałtu na jego żonie. Z tego powodu rozstrzelano 120 Niemców z Soldin. W latach 90., wskutek niedomówień o wydarzeniach z 1945 roku, o gwałt niesłusznie oskarżono sowieckiego generała, Amajaka Babajana.
    The article is about soviet presence in Soldin (now Myślibórz in Poland) in 1945. Red Army went into this small German town on 31 January 1945. Unknown soviet soldier, durring rape attent, was shot by the German officer. For this reason 120 Germnans from Soldin were executed. In the ’90s, as a result of the understatements, about rape attend was accused soviet general – Amayak Babayan.

    Abstract: The article presents the history of archaeological research in the post-war Myślibórz. Until 1999, it was led by researchers from Gorzów Wielkopolski and Szczecin, and since 2000 employees of the Museum of Myślibórz Lake District. Mostly it concerns the Old Town area and is associated with the beginnings of urban settlements to Post-medieval period. In addition, the archaeological research was carried out on the early medieval stronghold.

    Opis:
    Winter habitat preferences of roe deer in the territory of the Myślibórz Forest District in north−western Poland were assessed. The habitats preferred by roe deer were fresh mixed coniferous forests (BMśw), mixed swamp deciduous forests (LMb), fresh mixed deciduous forests (LMśw) and moist mixed deciduous forests (LMw). Roe deer preferred birch, larch and pine stands aged 21−60 and over 61 years. This information was useful in selecting winter refuge areas for roe deer in the territory of the Myślibórz Forest District. The total refuge area is 1903.5 hectares, representing 16.3% of the area of the forest district.

    Opis:
    The area of the GWB (groundwater body) No. 23 is a part of West Pomeranian and Lubusz Voivodeships and the water region of the Lower Odra and Przymorze Zachodnie. It includes districts: gryfiński, myśliborski, pyrzycki and gorzowski. The geological conditions of the study area are visibly corresponding to the deep tectonic structures of Szczecin basin and Gorzów block. Fresh groundwater is occurring here in porous sediments of the Quaternary, Neogene and Paleogene and fissured-porous rocks of the Upper Cretaceous. In the area of Szczecin basin, structures of Cretaceous aquifers are associated with Mesozoic secondary anticlines. In the Odra valley the aquifers are constituted from shallow laying Quaternary sediments (depth: 10 to 50 m). Thickness of Upper Cretaceous marbles leading fresh water does not exceed 30 m. The primal structures of the youngest sediments of Neogene- Miocene (-50 to -80 m above sea level) were disrupted during the earlier glaciations. During this geological period many of the geomorphological forms - egzaration depressions and glacitectonic extrusions formed from the Paleogene and Neogene sediments, and also elevations built from xenoliths coming from deeper rock bed, were formed by the complex of different geomorphological processes. The sediments of Neogene-Miocene have variable thickness, from a few meters within the deep erosion structures, up to 200 m within the Tertiary elevations. The Quaternary aquifers occur in multilayer system of groundwater layers constituted by fluvioglacial and fluvial sedimentation (sand and gravel) during successive glaciations and interglacials. Aquifers are often divided in multiple different layers, isolated by low-permeable layers of clays or glacial silts and proglacial clays. There are selected few regional aquifers: four Quaternary aquifers - first unconfined; upper, interior and lower intertill aquifers; two Miocene - upper and lower aquifers and one Cretaceous aquifer. The thickness of individual aquifer is variable; it's locally up to 50 m. The GWB No. 23 aquifers were aggregated to 3 levels (hydrogeological zones) belonging to different systems of groundwater flow: I level - first unconfined and upper intertill aquifer (locally Cretaceous aquifer); II level - interior intertill aquifer; III - lower intertill aquifer and upper Miocene aquifer. Because of the multilayer character, the GWB No. 23 groundwater system is very rich in water.
