Opis:
The last four decades weather forecasting data marks the precipitation declination and increase dry years, in addition to the desertification migration on the west and northwestern Mosul city. This led to studying the Al-Shor Wadi area to try to make use of the karstic spring water flow through it and to harvest the rainfall flow water. These need to select the best site to construct a dam taking into consideration the geological and geotechnical characteristics of both dam site and lake behind. The dam site appears to be appropriate relying on the large thickness and frequencies of the marl bed, the restriction of gypsum bed thicknesses and frequencies as well as, of the approximate nill karstification.

Opis:
Lausanne Peace Treaty did not solve contradictions between Great Britain and Turkey. Political relations between those two countries remained strained. The Kemalists could not forget that London had been the main supporter of Greece during the Liberation War (Kurtuluş Savaşı). On the other hand, the British thought Turkey to be a seasonal state and were alarmed when Kemalists had established a close link with the Soviet Russia. However, the most serious problem was a dispute over the possession of the vilayet of Mosul. The territory of Mosul was held by Turkey until the First World War. In 1918 it was occupied by Britain. In 1920 it was assigned to Iraq, which had become a British mandate. However Kemalists refused to relinquish their claims to the territory of Mosul, which was specified in the National Pact (Misakı Millı) as Turkish one. For that reason the question of Mosul remained in a state of deadlock, even after the Lausanne Treaty had been signed. Bilateral negotiations between Great Britain and Turkey did not solve the problem, and the matter was referred to the League of Nations. In December 1925 the Council of the League of Nations decided that the vilayet of Mosul was an integraf part of Iraq. Finally the dispute over that territory ended in June 1926, when the border treaty between Iraq and Turkey was signed. However the case of Mosul cast a shadow over relations between Angora and London at least until 1929.

Opis:
The research aimed to assess air quality in Mosul city (Iraq) using air quality index (AQI). The data were collected at six monitoring sites using two stations, one fixed and the other is mobile type. The concentrations of $CO$, $NO_2$, $O_3$, $SO_2$ and $PM_{10}$ were measured. The daily AQI were calculated for each site and classified to AQI categories according to USEPA approach. The dominant AQI category at the public library site fluctuated between "Moderate" to "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups". AQI undergoes seasonal variation with lower value at March. The results showed that PM10 is the main contributor for AQI determination in Mosul city with 93.8%. $CO$ has no contribution to Mosul AQI. $SO_2$, $O_3$ and $NO_2$ have little contribution to Mosul AQI with 0.8%, 2.7% and 2.7% respectively. The annual mean of AQI in the public library site/ Mosul city is 96 in the category "Moderate". The worst site was Mosul municipality (old location) with a dominant category "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups".
