Opis:
A review of the existing methods of tomatoi firmness measurement provided a basis for evaluating the usefulness of three grou,ps of methods: punch testing (different sizes and shapes), compression (compression force and deformation) and skin tension test (tension force and elongation). It was found that finał compression force was the simplest and most useful index of tomata firmness, especially of tomatoes intended for mechanical harvesting.
Przeprowadzono badania mające na celu opracowanie instrumentalnej metody oceny twardości pomidorów przeznaczonych do zbioru mechanicznego. Zastosowano metodę penetrometryczną (przebijanie owocu trzpieniem o różnej średnicy i kształcie, pomiar siły przebicia), metodę ściskania (pomiar siły ściskającej i odkształcenia) oraz oznaczanie wytrzymałości mechanicznej skórki na rozciąganie (pomiar siły zrywającej i wydłużenia). Jako kryterium przydatności metod przyjęto zróżnicowanie odmian pomidorów zgodnie z praktyczną oceną ich twardości, powtarzalność wyników, łatwość wykonania pomiarów i czas trwania oznaczeń. Za pomocą testu ściskania do ustalonego odkształcenia uzyskać można sześć wskaźników twardości siłę początkową, siłę w punkcie przegięcia (pęknięcia owocu) oraz siłę graniczną w wartościach bezwzględnych i w przeliczeniu na jednostkę masy owocu. Stwierdzono, że wartość siły ściskającej granicznej jest prostym i najbardziej przydatnym miernikiem oceny twardości pomidorów w pracach hodowlano-selekcyjnych.

The paper describes what a project team is, what are its components, and what skills are required from a project team manager. In addition, most commonly used techniques of team evaluation are described, along with methods used in motivating team members and whole teams. The aim of the paper was to confront literary sources with the real experience of IT project team members. A survey of 100 respondents was conducted. All respondents have worked in an IT department during the last five years. The group of respondents was diverse in terms of age and gender. The questions pertained to methods of evaluating and motivating team members in IT departments.

Novadays the success of the military operations largely on the domination in the airspace. Although the traditional air threats, fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, are still useful and formidable, the 21st century proliferation trend includes unmanned threats such as: tactical ballistic missles, cruise missles, unmanned aerial vehicles or rocket artillery and mortars munitions. Technological transformation from manned to the unmanned aircraft and their armaments makes more and more often to be expected with new, previously rarely evaluated air threats. This situation prompted the author of the article to review modern military air constructions and the concept of their use in both warfare and asymmetrical conflicts. This writing presents also methods of enemy air threat evaluation which are used in the decision-making process, focusing on the three essential: normative, capacitive, and objective one.

W artykule przedstawiono możliwość wykorzystania koncepcji zaczerpniętych z teorii grafów oraz metod analizy sieci społecznościowych w zastosowaniach biblio- i webometrycznych. Chociaż metody analizowania struktur grafowych znane są w nauce od dłuższego czasu, to dopiero rozwój technologii pozwalających zastosować te metody w praktyce na dużych zbiorach danych spowodował ich upowszechnienie w różnych obszarach nauki, a nawet życia codziennego. Możliwości wykorzystania wspomnianych metod na gruncie biblio- i webometrii były sygnalizowane przez badaczy już w ubiegłym wieku, jednak w stosunkowo niewielu publikacjach, zwłaszcza krajowych, stosuje się te metody w praktyce. Dlatego w niniejszym opracowaniu omówione zostały ogólne koncepcje analiz i modeli agregacji danych bibliometrycznych, które mogą zostać zaadaptowane na potrzeby konkretnych badań. Rozważania te mają charakter generalny i niezależny od konkretnej platformy analitycznej, natomiast w końcowej części artykułu zaprezentowano przykład aplikacji Gephi, umożliwiającej implementację opisywanych koncepcji.
The article presents the possibility to use the concept derived from the theory of graphs and methods of the social network analysis in bibliometrics and webometrics. Although the methods of the analysis of graph structures have been familiar to scholarship for a long time, it was the development of technologies which enable the application of these methods in practice in large collections of data that popularised them in many fields of science, and even of everyday life. Although the possibilities of the application of these methods in biblio- and webometrics were indicated by researchers even in the past century, there is a relatively small number of publications, especially released in this country, which put these methods to practice. Therefore in the present work the author presents the general concepts of the analyses and the models of aggregation of bibliometrical data, which may be adopted for the purposes of specific research. Although the considerations which are described are general and are independent of a specific analytical platform, the final part of the article presents an example of the Gephi application, which enables the implementation of the concepts in question.

The article outlines the problem of the strategic evaluation of the enterprise relationships with the economic impact groups (stakeholders). This evaluation is a part of the strategic controlling and lies in quantifiable (absolute or relative) determining of the enterprise interests concerning the economic impact groups, its contribution to their activities and vice versa – interests and contributions of economic impact groups to the enterprise activity in order to balance their interests. In the paper there is proposed a simple mathematical model following on from the considerations included in the theoretical papers concerning the evaluation of medical and other therapies on the ground of fuzzy sets based on lattices [2001-2004]. The method allows to introduce in the evaluation procedure a convenient scale of the valuation results followed by proposed improvement methods. In the scale one finds both the positive and negative opinions.      For calculation purposes one needs to construct a table containing a list of symptoms, theoretical ones for an economic event and a list of proposed improvement methods. When the table has been constructed and filled out with numbers of the valuation scale,  in the end stage one needs to use the proposed simple calculation formula for a fuzzy set which allows us to state a value of relation between the improvement method used and symptoms of economic depression. As a result it is possible to obtain a proposal for the best efficacious improvement method for a given economic problem.

Artykuł ma na celu analizę rozwoju narzędzi i ocenę potencjału zasobowego przedsiębiorstw przemysłowych na Ukrainie, a także omówienie sposobów kształtowania metodologii badań naukowych. O sukcesie funkcjonowania podmiotu gospodarczego decyduje poziom dostępności zasobów, ich struktura, tempo odnawiania się, efektywność wykorzystania oraz stopień specjalizacji. Zakres przedsiębiorstwa determinuje wszystkie te czynniki poprzez jego potencjał zasobowy. Naukowcy ekonomiści szukają najlepszych rozwiązań do jego oceny; proponowane są różne sposoby dotychczas znanych i sprawdzonych metod doskonalenia. Autorzy zwracają uwagę, że nie ma obecnie jednolitej metodologii oceny potencjału zasobowego przedsiębiorstwa w realnym sektorze gospodarki. Istniejące narzędzia pomiarowe to odrębne wskaźniki charakteryzujące efektywność przedsiębiorstwa. Jednak dla pełnej oceny konieczne jest, aby była wszechstronna i systematyczna. W związku z tym zaproponowano procedurę i system wskaźników do oceny głównych rodzajów zasobów, które może zastosować każde przedsiębiorstwo przemysłowe w celu poprawy jego wydajności.

Monitoring of a financial situation of enterprises is highly significant, what was proved by the latest world financial crisis. Such a monitoring will allow early identification of a threat, and thus undertaking preventive actions, which will protect from loses that may lead to a bankruptcy. Therefore, it is so significant to employed the verified analytical tools. The aim of the article is to present the methods of monitoring the financial situation of the company and directions for further research in this area. As part of the presents the essence of indicator analysis, with the release of its application to the quintessential area, namely financial liquidity. In the later part of the study are shown the directions of the development of new methods for monitoring the financial situation of the business entities that require further research.

The paper considers major principles of methods based on quantitative measurements. The problem of construction investments is of paramount importance because they determine the potential of construction and the structure of expenses. The calculation of investments is an expensive tool of enterprise management used in planning the investments. It can be perceived as the harmonization and evaluation of the models for investment decision-making. Methods based on a single criterion can hardly be used in solving the problems associated with sophisticated technological or marketing systems. It is a multiple attribute decision method, taking into consideration major efficiency criteria, that enables the effective methods of solving complicated problems. When the quantitative criteria are precisely defined, the developed quantitative multiple criteria decision making (MCDM-1) method can be successfully applied. The present paper is devoted to the analysis of the algorithm and methods of application of the suggested technique.

The article analyses the current problems of vilnius city public Transportation. The possible solutions (options) and the technical means to improve The attractiveness of public transportation and accessibility are considered. Two main alternatives of means of electric transport (underground and tram) have been singled out for vilnius city. The suitability of these rail transport means have been substantiated. The nature and density of the work and residence places (areas) of vilnius city residents have been analysed. The scheme of tram and underground lines projected in vilnius city are evaluated, which have been composed according to the current and forecasted flows of passengers, the nature of their changes and critical points. The technical economic indicators of the tram routes and underground lines in vilnius city are analysed: average driving speed, average distance between the stations, the duration of the trip, the capacity of a single means of transport, the costs of line support and the size of investment. The accident rate of urban rail transportation is estimated. Comparative criteria of tram and underground lines are selected. The effectiveness of both rail means of transport in Vilnius city are compared according to three multi-criteria evaluation methods: the sum of ratings, simple additive weighting and geometrical means. The final conclusions and recommendations are provided.
B статье анализируются актуальные проблемы общественногоТранспорта города вильнюс. Рассматриваются возможные варианты их решения иТехнический потенциал повышения привлекательности и доступности. Общественного транспорта. Для вильнюса выделены две основные альтернативы Электрических транспортных средств (метро и трамвай) и обоснована пригодность. Этих рельсовых транспортных средств. Проанализирована локализация районов, Плотность мест проживания и работы жителей города вильнюса. Оценка схемы Проектируемых в вильнюсе трамвайных путей и линий метрополитена выполнена С учетом текущих и прогнозируемых потоков пассажиров, характера их изменений И критических точек. Анализируются технико-экономические показатели Трамвайных маршрутов и линий метрополитена в городе вильнюс: средняя Скорость движения, среднее расстояние между станциями, продолжительность Поездки, вместимость одного транспортного средства, расходы на содержание Линий и величина инвестиций. Анализируется число инцидентов в городском Рельсовом транспорте. Подбираются критерии для сравнения применяемости трамвайного транспорта и метрополитена. Эффективность обоих средств Рельсового транспорта в городе вильнюс сравнивается тремя методами Многокритериальной оценки: методом суммы рейтингов, методом простого Аддитивного взвешивания и методом средних геометрических значений. Представлены окончательные выводы и предложения.

The method of evaluating the integrals through use of the matrix inversion, presented here, was introduced by J.W. Rogers and then generalized by Matlak, Słota and Wituła. This method is still developed and one of its other possible applications is presented in this paper. This application concerns a new way of evaluating the integral ʃ sec2n+1 xdx on the basis of the discussed method. Additionally, many other applications of the obtained original recursive formula for this type of integral are given here. Some of them are used to generate the interesting identities for inverses of the central binomial coefficients and the trigonometric limits. The historical view is also presented as well as the connections between the received and previously known identities.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono problematykę związaną z ryzykiem, które towarzyszy wszystkim przedsięwzięciom biznesowym, a zwłaszcza start-upowym. Przybliżono pojęcie start-upu oraz scharakteryzowano jego specyficzne cechy. Wymienione zostały najważniejsze metody szacowania ryzyka przy podejmowaniu tego rodzaju przedsięwzięć. W artykule uwagę skupiono na czterech metodach szacowania ryzyka: NPV, IRR, DTA oraz DEA. Ponadto wykorzystano informacje pochodzące od przedstawicieli środowiska start-upowego. Motywem decydującym o wyborze metod była użyteczność oraz łatwość zastosowania tych modeli w odniesieniu do wiarygodności ich wyników. Istotą zastosowania metod oceny ryzyka jest odpowiednia wiedza i umiejętność ich wykorzystania czy interpretacji wyników przez osoby taką próbę podejmujące. W praktyce osoby będące inicjatorami przedsięwzięć start-upowych nie mają takiej wiedzy bądź jest ona na niskim poziomie. Z kolei skorzystanie z wiedzy i wsparcia specjalistów i ekspertów generuje dodatkowe koszty związane z ich pracą, co na początku inwestycji biznesowej jest wyjątkowo odczuwalne. Dlatego w niniejszym opracowaniu zostały przybliżone dwie stosunkowo proste i łatwe do samodzielnego zastosowania metody, mianowicie NPV i IRR, oraz bardziej złożone metody DTA i DEA, ukazujące bardziej szczegółowe możliwości związane z prowadzeniem takiego przedsięwzięcia w przyszłości. Każda z tych metod nadaje się do oceny ryzyka w odniesieniu do specyficznych form działalności gospodarczej, w tym również start-upów.
This article presents the risks associated with all business ventures, especially start-ups. The notion of a start-up has been defined and its specific features have been characterized. The most important methods of risk estimation in undertaking such projects have been mentioned. The article focuses on four risk estimation methods, namely: NPV, IRR, DTA and DEA. It also uses information from representatives of the start-up environment. The key to the choice of methods was the usability and ease of use of these models with respect to the reliability of their results. The essence of the use of risk assessment methods is the knowledge and ability to use or interpret the results of such attempts. In practice, initiators of start-up undertaking have no or limited knowledge in this respect. On the other hand, using the knowledge and support of specialists and experts generates additional costs associated with their work, which is especially felt at the beginning of business investment. Therefore, two relatively simple and easy-to-use methods, namely NPV and IRR, and more complex DTA and DEA methods have been discussed in this paper. They show more detailed possibilities for conducting such a project in the future. Each of these methods is suitable for risk assessment in relation to specific business activities including start-ups.

The effectiveness of cast iron spheroidization with FeSiMg master alloy by the traditional method and using a reaction chamber placed in the cavity of foundry mould was compared. The method of cast iron treatment in mould cavity using a reaction chamber is an innovative technology developed by the Foundry Research Institute in Krakow. The effectiveness of the spheroidization process carried out by both methods was checked on a series of test castings. The article also presents the results of metallographic examinations and mechanical testing, including the discussion of magnesium yield and its assimilation rate.

The method of evaluating the integrals through use of the matrix inversion, presented here, was introduced by J.W. Rogers and then generalized by Matlak, Słota and Wituła. This method is still developed and one of its other possible applications is presented in this paper. This application concerns a new way of evaluating the integral ʃ sec2n+1 xdx on the basis of the discussed method. Additionally, many other applications of the obtained original recursive formula for this type of integral are given here. Some of them are used to generate the interesting identities for inverses of the central binomial coefficients and the trigonometric limits. The historical view is also presented as well as the connections between the received and previously known identities.
