    W artykule przedstawiono nauczanie m. Teresy Kalkstein na temat powołania do życia zakonnego. Czwarta przełożona generalna Zgromadzenia Sióstr Zmartwychwstania Pańskiego wiele miejsca w swoich listach okólnych poświęca problematyce powołania zakonnego, począwszy od kwestii teoretycznych aż po praktyczne wskazówki dotyczące realizowania powołania w codzienności. Pomimo upływu czasu niektóre jej myśli nie tracą na aktualności, dlatego jej pisma wciąż mogą być pożyteczną i ciekawą lekturą dla osób konsekrowanych.
    In the article the teaching of Mother Teresa Kalkstein on the calling to religious life is presented. The fourth General Superior of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ devoted a lot of attention to the religious vocation, including the theoretical questions and practical suggestions of carrying one’s vocation in everyday life. Despite the passage of time, some of her thoughts have remained relevant. That is why her writings can still be a useful and interesting reading for the consecrated persons.

    Wśród osób odznaczonych przez Instytut Yad Vashem w Jerozolimie medalem Sprawiedliwy wśród Narodów Świata najliczniejszą grupę stanowią Polacy. Jedną z nich była Matka Teresa Janina Kierocińska (1885–1946), przełożona Zgromadzenia Sióstr Karmelitanek Dzieciątka Jezus w latach 1921–1946. W domu zakonnym w Sosnowcu ukrywała zarówno dzieci żydowskie, jak i osoby dorosłe. Pomagała również osobom represjonowanym przez okupacyjne władze niemieckie, m.in. więźniom obozów koncentracyjnych i członkom ruchu oporu. W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowane zostały okoliczności, które sprawiły, że zakonnica zaangażowała się w niesienie pomocy ludności żydowskiej. W tekście obszernie cytowano wspomnienia sióstr zakonnych i mieszkańców Sosnowca, z których wyłania się jej obraz jako „Matki Zagłębia”.
    The largest group among people honored by the Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem with the Righteous Among the Nations medal is the Polish. One of them was Mother Teresa Janina Kierocińska (1885–1946), Mother Superior of the Convent of the Carmelites of Infant Jesus in 1921–1946. She offered refuge and hid both Jewish children and adults in the convent house in Sosnowiec. Moreover, she also helped other people repressed by occupational German authorities, e.g., prisoners of concentration camps andmembers of the resistance. This article presents the circumstances resulting in the nun’s involvement in aiding the Jewish community. The contents include large quotes of memories of the convent sisters and inhabitants of Sosnowiec, drawing her picture as the “Mother of the Zagłębie region”.

    This paper examines a rhetorical case—Mother Teresa's narrative—for evidence of prophetic qualities, including social calls to action. Mother Teresa's story is considered through established methods of investigating prophecy, such as themes of announcements of judgment and reason and the Messenger formula. Her rhetoric is also examined through the theoretical lens of Walter Fisher's narrative coherence for evidence of biblical ideals and body language. Her lived experiences are also considered evidence of her prophetic nature. Mother Teresa's narrative is read and better valued as part of a wider context of social action consistent with prophecy
    Artykuł omawia retoryczny przypadek narracji Matki Teresy w celu określenia jego prorockich elementów, takich jak wezwanie do działania. Opowieść Matki Teresy jest rozważana z punktu widzenia określonych metod badania proroctwa, w tym motywów zapowiedzi sądu i formuły posłańca. Retoryka Matki Teresy omówiona jest także z użyciem teorii koherencji narracyjnej Waltera Fishera w odniesieniu do biblijnych ideałów i mowy ciała. Ponadto elementy biograficzne w życiorysie Matki Teresy zdają się potwierdzać jej profetyczny charakter. Narracja Matki Teresy może być doceniona jako część szerszego kontekstu działania społecznego nawiązującego do proroctwa.

    The aim of the article is to show the christocentric attitude of love of bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. The source text are Teresa's writings featured in their entirety or in part in the publication Come Be My Light. The Private Writings of the “Saint of Calcutta”. The whole presentation has been divided into four parts. The first one presents Teresa's love for Christ, the second deals with the issues of love for Christ in the poorest of the poor, the third addresses the care of the Blessed to minister among the poor in the communion with Christ, and the last one is a look at Mother Teresa’s attitude of love through Benedict XVI’s thoughts selected from his encyclical letter Deus caritas est. The summary is a meditation of the Blessed put at the end. The article shows the christocentrism of attitude of love of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

    Opis:
    The ancient Christian tradition considered the allegorical interpretation of the Bible as an important mean of spiritual formation in the life of the Church. This approach to the Biblical text has been neglected in modern times due to the use of historical-critical methods in the Biblical exegesis. However, it seems that the intuitions of the Fathers of the Church may still be inspiring, especially for certain spiritual actualizations of the Scripture. In some contexts of the life of the Church, e.g. spiritual retreats, the symbolical and allegorical reading of the Bible can be still fruitful, especially in connection with new spiritualties emerging in modern times. Even more, the access to critical editions of patristic works and the semiotic approach to the Biblical text make possible new understandings that may enrich the living tradition of Biblical interpretation.
