Die Ehe enshteht aus dem Geheimnis der uralten Gottes Liebe zu Menschen. Das auf die Offenbarung hingestellte Magisterium der Kirche, immer sucht Wege um diese Wahrheit besser zu ausdrücken. Eine doktrinäre Richtung , die durch die Konstitution „Gaudium et spes” bestimmt wurde , hat gezeigt, daß das Streben nach der Entwicklung der Doktrin de matrimonio eine Darstellung der Ehe als institutum amoris coniugalis voraussetzt. Ebendeshalb der Papst Johannes Paul II., der in seiner Lehre theologisch-anthropologische Tiefe der ehelichen Kommunion enthüllt, bezeichnet die Ehe konsequent als „Bund der ehelichen Liebe”. Die päpstliche „Leibtheologie” offenbart eine genetische und ontologisch-existenzielle Verbindung zwischen der ehelichen communio personarum und der Kommunion der Personen von Trinität. Jene trinitarische Analogie, deren ein fundamentales Prinzip eben die Liebe ist, ermöglicht im volleren Licht die Natur der Ehe zu erkennen. Man kann folglich erwarten, daß der theologisch und kanonistisch relevante Begriff:, foedus amoris coniugalis” neue Impulse zu wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen weitergeben wird.

In his pastoral teaching Jean-Marie Lustiger repeatedly explores the subject of marital spirituality. His teaching emerged as a response to young people’s difficulty in understanding the nature of marriage as a result of being immersed in the mentality of the world. In this article the author explores two important aspects of Cardinal Lustiger’s teaching on the spirituality of marriage: marriage is presented as a vocation and there is an emphasis on the correct understanding of marital love. In the context of the decline of religious practices in Western Europe, the article contains some of Jean-Marie Lustiger’s thoughts on the sacrament of marriage as well as his role in contributing to a deeper understanding of matrimony.

Przeżywanie miłości jest najbardziej ludzkim i powszechnym doświadczeniem. Miłość jest rzeczywistością złożoną, wieloaspektową, psychiczną i duchową. To wartość uniwersalna i ponadczasowa. Związana jest z największą potrzebą ludzką bycia kochanym i pragnieniem miłowania. Dlatego też w integralnym rozwoju osoby jest ona najważniejszym czynnikiem, który kształtuje i scala jej osobowość. Istota miłości jest niezmienna, natomiast sposoby jej przeżywania i wyrażania są bardzo różne. Rozwój miłości małżeńskiej wymaga rozwoju więzi małżeńskiej. To dzięki niej możliwe jest integralne połączenie się dwóch osób w miłości. Więź małżeńska jest podstawowym elementem, który scala i wyraża wielopłaszczyznowy obszar małżeńskich relacji, interakcji i komunikacji.Obecnie, w dobie konsumpcjonizmu oraz rozpowszechniania się stylu życia w związkach partnerskich, można zauważyć, że miłość i więź małżeńska nie są wartościami, często wręcz mówi się o nich wstydliwie. W związku z tym, celem artykułu jest przedstawienie w ujęciu chrześcijańskim teoretycznych zagadnień odnoszących się do doświadczania miłości szczególnie w perspektywie więzi małżeńskiej. Uwzględniając złożoność tej problematyki, zostaną ukazane tylko wybrane jej aspekty. Omówione zostaną różnorodne konteksty miłości oraz doświadczanie i przeżywanie miłości małżeńskiej. Ukazana będzie istota i wartość więzi małżeńskiej, a także kwestia rozwijania zdolności do miłości w procesie wychowania człowieka.
Living love is the most human and universal experience. Love is a complex, multi‐faceted, psychological and spiritual reality. It is a universal and timeless value. It is associated with the greatest human need to be loved and the desire to love. Therefore, in the integral development of a person, love is the most important factor that shapes and integrates his/her personality. The essence of love is unchangeable, but the ways of experiencing and expressing it are very different. The development of conjugal love requires the growth of a marital bond. It is thanks to it that it is possible for two people to be united in love. A marital bond constitutes an essential element which integrates and shapes the multifaceted area of marital relationship, interaction and communication.Nowadays, in an era of consumerism and a lifestyle based more on civil partnerships, it can be seen that love and marriage are not treated as the values, they are often even spoken of with shame. Therefore, the aim of the article is to present theoretical issues related to the experience of love in a Christian perspective, especially from the perspective of a marital bond. Taking into account the complexity of this issue, only selected aspects will be shown. The various contexts of love and the experience of marital love will be discussed. The essence and value of the marital bond will be shown, as well as the aspect of developing the ability to love in the process of human education.

Sakrament małżeństwa wpisuje się w naturalne dążenie do miłości przez mężczyznę i kobietę. Małżonkowie otrzymują w nim wsparcie od samego Boga. Zadaniem duszpasterzy jak i całej wspólnoty kościelnej jest umacnianie małżonków w ich sakramentalnej miłości. Proces ten nazywamy towarzyszeniem duszpasterskim. Przeprowadzone badania wskazały, iż wpływ na wzrost oczekiwań w umacnianiu miłości małżeńskiej ma stosunek małżonków do wiary, przynależność do grup i zrzeszeń oraz długość stażu małżeńskiego. Wyzwaniem duszpasterskim jest umacnianie wiary małżonków, angażowanie coraz więcej par w przynależność do grup i zrzeszeń oraz troska o małżeństwa z krótszym stażem.
The sacrament of marriage is part of the natural pursuit of love by a man and a woman. In it, the spouses receive support from God Himself. The task of pastors and the entire Church community is to strengthen the spouses in their sacramental love. This process is called pastoral accompaniment. Research has shown that an increase in the expectations of strengthening marital love is influenced by the spouses’ attitude to faith, membership in groups and associations and the length of their marriage. The pastoral challenge is to strengthen the faith of the spouses, to involve more and more couples in groups and associations and to care for couples with shorter marriages.

The article analyses the anthropology of the theology of marriage and the family, presents the foundations of the Christian anthropology of gender, describes the concept of marital love, and introduces the foundations of the theology of indissolubility of marriage and the meaning and mission of marriage using philosophical and theological scientific literature, the writings of John Paul II, the Holy Scripture and the documents of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. The following lines of further research are anticipated: the family as a small domestic church, the principles of the religious education of children in the family, and the family as a place of vocational disclosure. The conclusions of this theoretical study are presented.

In 2018, 393 people in eight parishes in the Diocese of Goroka, Papua New Guinea were surveyed using the questionnaire method. The conducted research took into account the impact of independent variables such as: sex, age, and place of residence and the fact of entering into a sacramental marriage. The research shows that a high percentage of respondents understand the moral requirements of sacramental marriage. They are more often understood by women, respondents over 51 years of age, living in the countryside and those who have entered into a sacramental marriage. The pastoral challenge in understanding the moral aspects of canonical marriage are men, people under the age of 31, and those spouses who have not yet entered into canonical marriage but are on their way to receive this sacrament in the Church.
W 2018 r. przy pomocy kwestionariusza ankiety przebadano w PapuiNowej Gwinei 393 osoby w ośmiu parafiach w diecezji Goroka. W przeprowadzanych badaniach uwzględniono u respondentów oddziaływanie zmiennych niezależnych, takich jak: płeć, wiek, miejsce zamieszkania oraz fakt zawarcia małżeństwa sakramentalnego. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że wysoki odsetek badanych rozumie wymogi moralne małżeństwa sakramentalnego. Częściej rozumieją je kobiety, respondenci w wieku powyżej 51. roku życia, zamieszkujący na wsi oraz ci, którzy zawarli małżeństwo sakramentalne. Wyzwaniem duszpasterskim w zakresie rozumienia aspektów moralnych małżeństwa kanonicznego są mężczyźni, osoby w wieku poniżej 31 lat oraz ci małżonkowie, którzy nie zawarli jeszcze małżeństwa kanonicznego, ale są w drodze do przyjęcia tego sakramentu w Kościele.

The source of love is in God’s act of creation, therefore, it captures the truth in the human heart the best. A deep understanding of love as well as living it out on a daily basis are crucial for the relationship between man and woman in marriage. This paper presents the results of research on living out and experiencing love by spouses in marriage. A very high percentage of respondents declare to live out love adequately to their marriage oath. A slightly lower percentage of respondents live out their love as a constant openness to the conception of new life, and less than half of respondents live out their love as a strong erotic drive between spouses. More than one third of spouses live out their love as a sacrifice and daily straggle without adequate reciprocity. The results indicate the need for pastoral care of marital bonds.
Miłość najtrafniej ujmuje prawdę o sercu człowieka, gdyż ma swoje źródło w stwórczym akcie Boga. Właściwe rozumienie i przeżywanie miłości jest kluczowe dla relacji małżeńskiej. W niniejszym artykule zostało ukazane przeżywanie miłości przez małżonków na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań. Bardzo wysoki odsetek respondentów deklaruje przeżywanie miłości adekwatne do złożonej przysięgi małżeńskiej. Nieco niższy procent przeżywa swoją miłość jako stałą otwartość na poczęcie nowego życia, a mniej niż połowa badanych przeżywa ją jako silną więź erotyczną ze współmałżonkiem. Ponad jedna trzecia małżonków przeżywa miłość małżeńską jako ofiarność i wysiłek przy nieadekwatnej wzajemności. Wyniki wskazują na potrzebę duszpasterskiej troski o więź małżeńską.

Opis:
Więź miłości małżeńskiej jest szczególną relacją międzyosobową. Współczesne małżeństwa i pary doświadczają wielu zewnętrznych i wewnętrznych trudności w tworzeniu i umacnianiu więzi miłości, dlatego potrzebują one wsparcia. Odpowiedzią Kościoła na to wyzwanie jest zainspirowane przez papieża Franciszka duszpasterstwo więzi. Podobnie jak małżonkowie, także pary katolików rozwiedzionych będących w nieuregulowanych sytuacjach małżeńskich potrzebują duszpasterskiego wsparcia ich więzi ze względu na dobro ich związku oraz w trosce o dobro wychowywanych dzieci. Artykuł podejmuje problem duszpasterskiego towarzyszenia parom żyjącym w sytuacjach nieuregulowanych w umacnianiu ich więzi. Postawiony problem rozwiązuje trójetapowo. Zawiera wskazania Kościoła dotyczące duszpasterstwa więzi, ukazuje oczekiwania osób żyjących w małżeńskich sytuacjach nieregularnych na podstawie badań empirycznych oraz formułuje wnioski pastoralne.
The bond of conjugal love is a special interpersonal relationship. Today’s married couples experience many external and internal difficulties in creating and strengthening a bond of love and therefore they need support. The Church’s response to this challenge is the ministry of bonds inspired by Pope Francis. Like spouses, also couples of divorced Catholics who are in unregulated marital situations, need pastoral support for their bonds, for the good of their relationship and for the well-being of their children. The article deals with the problem of pastoral accompaniment to couples living in unregulated situations in strengthening their bonds. The problem is solved in three steps. It contains the guidelines of the Church regarding the pastoral care of bonds, shows the expectations of people living in irregular marital situations on the basis of empirical research and formulates pastoral conclusions.

W artykule tym ukazuję oceny licealistów, studentów i nauczycieli wychowania do życia w rodzinie dotyczące miłości małżeńskiej i jej uwarunkowań, w tym wierności i zdrady małżeńskiej. Prezentacja ta opiera się na wynikach dwóch moich badań socjologicznych zrealizowanych w 2011 roku wśród uczniów liceów ogólnokształcących i profilowanych w Kaliszu (456) i studentów Wyższej Szkoły Komunikacji i Zarządzania w Poznaniu (436) oraz w 2003 roku wśród nauczycieli wychowania do życia w rodzinie w Kaliszu (186). Badania te zostały zrealizowane metodą sondażu diagnostycznego, z jednoczesnym zastosowaniem techniki ankiety audytoryjnej. Celem ich było poznanie i prezentacja postaw i ocen respondentów dotyczących miłości małżeńskiej i jej uwarunkowań – zwłaszcza wierności i zdrady. 
In this article I present the evaluations of high school students, college students and teachers of Family Life Education concerning marital love and its conditions, including marital fidelity and betrayal. This presentation is based on the results of two of my sociological studies conducted in 2011 among the students of general and profiled high schools in Kalisz (456) and the students of the University of Communication and Management in Poznań (436) and in 2003 among the teachers of Family Life Education in Kalisz (186). The research was carried out using the diagnostic survey method, with the simultaneous application of the auditory questionnaire technique. The purpose of these surveys was to learn and present the attitudes and evaluations of respondents concerning marital love and its conditions - especially fidelity and betrayal.

Małżeństwu niezależnie od jego rozumienia (związek, instytucja, wspólnota, system) stanowiącemu fundament rodziny, jako wspólnoty z racji bliskich, intymnych więzi oraz zadań i funkcji realizowanych na rzecz społeczeństwa należy przypisać niebagatelne znaczenie, tak z perspektywy funkcjonowania społeczeństwa, jak i jednostki. Coraz częściej we współczesnym społeczeństwie ulega ono rozpadowi, wskutek rozwodu, interpretowanego w epoce kultury ponowoczesnej jako prawo do godnego życia. Nie jest więc już zgodnie z założeniami ustawodawcy instytucją trwałą. Istotnego znaczenia nabiera więc problematyka szczęścia małżeńskiego, jako swoistego „spoiwa” stosunków między małżonkami, a tym samym swoistego gwaranta trwałości związku. Artykuł stanowi próbę odpowiedzi na pytania: co oznacza pojęcie szczęście oraz szczęście małżeńskie? Jakie są jego fundamenty w kontekście wzajemnego funkcjonowania małżonków? Jakie są jego uwarunkowania? Artykuł powstał w oparciu o wyniki badań diagnostycznych przeprowadzonych wśród 103 mieszkańców Podkarpacia pozostających w związku małżeńskim powyżej dziesięciu lat. Okazało się, iż doświadczanie poczucia szczęścia warunkowane jest przede wszystkim dobrą sytuacją mieszkaniową oraz względnie wysokim statusem materialnym. Wyniki badań wskazują, iż nie ma związku pomiędzy doświadczaniem poczucia szczęścia a długością znajomości przedślubnej, czy też okresem wspólnego zamieszkiwania przed zawarciem małżeństwa, bądź długością funkcjonowania w nim partnerów i wielkością rodziny. Natomiast fundamenty owego szczęścia, to wskazywane w literaturze przedmiotu: miłość, kształtowanie więzi, komunikacja, przeświadczenie o trwałości związku. Słowa
In spite of understanding the notion of marriage (relationship, institution, community or system) it is undoubtedly the basis of family as community because of close, intimate bonds between people and because of its function for society and individual person. In modern society, the marriage is more and more common to disintegrate, and divorce, in the post modern time is interpreted as right for decent quality of life. Therefore it is no more a constant institution. The problematics of happiness in marriage is being more important as it is seen as binding material between married couple and their guarantee of relationship permanence. In this article the author tries to answer following questions- What is happiness and what is happiness in marriage? What are its basis in context of married couple functioning? What are happiness conditions? This article is based on research conducted among 103 inhabitants of Podkarpacie region, who are in marriage relationship longer than 10 years. The results indicate that feeling of happiness is conditioned by good housing status and relatively high material status. The research results show that there is no connection between feeling of happiness and length of before-marriage acquaintance, time of cohabitance before marriage or structure of family. While basis of this happiness are pointed in love, shaping bonds, communication and belief of relationship constancy.

Our whole discussion has focused on man’s self-fulfillment in and through the marital union. The mutual self-donation of man and woman is a participative act in that whenever acting is performed ‘together with the other,’ the husband and wife transcend themselves in action and thereby realize the authentically personalistic value of the action and man’s self-fulfillment in it. This mutual selfgiving of husband and wife finds its expression in and through the body. This self-fulfillment, however, is attained only when the husband and wife become responsible for each other and meet the demands of the personalistic norm. The marital union must adapt itself to the objective demands of the personalistic norm, without which the act of mutual love between husband and wife is degraded to the ‘utilitarian’ level. The structure of responsibility which demands reference to the object in accordance with its true value must be satisfied.

This paper focuses on the relationship between woman and man in the writing of Stanisław Przybyszewski. It discovers the link between love and death that is characteristic of this playwright. Przybyszewski's dramas are analysed here under the angle of the motive of betrayal present in this writing, the motive that leads from unfaithfulness and harm of another person to his death. This paper indicates an indispensable necessity to bear punishment for trespasses against morality. It touches the causes for which the heroes decide to break the vow given to God at the altar, and its consequences. It shows Przybyszewski's anthropology that entangles man in the system of dependencies on the power of his own nature, the sexual urge determining human life. The manifestations of the Christian vision of the world are lacking, a fact that makes the heroes' repentance impossible.

Artykuł podejmuje problematykę religijności nupturientów oraz małżonków widzianą jako kryterium jakości narzeczeństwa i małżeństwa. Pierwsza część artykułu prezentuje kryteria dojrzałej religijności. Tylko taka bowiem religijność może być związana z kształtowaniem zarówno ogólnej jakości życia człowieka, jak również życia w związku małżeńskim. Część druga artykułu nawiązuje do teorii jakości związku autorstwa Grahama Spaniera i Roberta Lewisa. Model tych autorów uznawany jest za najszerzej obejmujący swym zakresem znaczeniowym omawiane pojęcie, czyli jakość związku małżeńskiego. Trzecia część artykułu ukazuje związki religijności z ogólną jakością małżeństwa, z komunikacją interpersonalną oraz z rozumieniem miłości.
The article deals with the issue of the religiousness of nupturients and married couple perceived as the criterion of the quality of the engagement period and marriage. The first part of the article presents the criteria of mature religiousness. Only such religiousness may be connected with shaping the overall quality of people’s life and the quality of living in marital relationship. The second part of the article relates to the theory of the quality of marital relationship by Graham Spanier and Robert Lewis. Their model seems to be the widest-ranging in terms of the meaning of the issue in question, namely the quality of marital relationship. The third part of the article presents the connection between religiousness and the overall quality of marriage with interpersonal communication and the understanding of love.

In light of the distinction Saint Augustine makes between a committed evil, understood as the result of a mistake in choosing (culpa), and a suffered evil, described as the effect of a just divine judgment (poena) – a distinction he makes in several texts dealing with the origin of evil – I analyze Augustine’s reflections in the Confessions on his relationship with the unnamed women. He calls the relationship a pactum libidinosi amoris, that is, one aimed at satisfying the passions. The negative moral judgment he passes on this stage of his life is expressed with particular poignancy by the word libido/libidinosus, indicating the passions to which man submits at times. Looking back at his affair with the unnamed woman, he considers the evil committed a culpa; hence one has the impression that he wanted to place the moral responsibility of the evil committed upon himself, thus giving greater witness to the goodness of the merciful God who revealed to him gradually the truth concerning the various phases of his spiritual journey and the pain experienced along the way.
