Opis:
The presented study aims to investigate the impact of cultural intelligence on management effectiveness and conflict management styles. The target population of this research includes all senior managers of universities and higher education institutions in Urmia. The nature of the study requires the use of a descriptive-correlational research method. Findings of the study show that there is a significant relationship between cultural intelligence and management effectiveness. Results of stepwise regression analysis show that components of cultural intelligence allow for predicting the avoidance style. Moreover, among the components of cultural intelligence only the metacognitive cultural intelligence allows for predicting management effectiveness.

Analysis of the efficiency management of local government against the challenges of public administration Modern management of a local government implies the use the various instruments supporting the decision making process. Long-term financial planning is becoming a necessity in the face of constant government deficit of local government. However, system solutions requiring the government to draw up various planning documents do not always produce the expected result. Perhaps the same definition of indicators, the corresponding limits allowable debt (in modified form in relation to the previous limits of debt) would have been sufficient to local government to draw more attention to effectiveness public spending, rather than decreasing the efficiency of their actions.

In order to remain competitive in the current market, organizations must change. W celu zachowania konkurencyjności na ciągle ewoluującym rynku, organizacje muszą się rozwijać. Istnieje kilka sposobów na dokonanie zmian w organizacjach, tak aby dostosować je do rynku. Jednym z najbardziej skutecznych narzędzi jest przyjęcie efektywnej strategii zarządzania i wydajności. Proces ten wydaje się autorom optymalny pod względem realizacji funkcji zarządzania. Właściwa implementacja funkcji kierowania, umożliwia managerowi osiągnięcie celu, którym jest jedność pod względem rentowności ekonomicznej i użyteczności społecznej.

This paper presents the essence of inter-organizational collaboration in public management, guidelines for control of its performance and its determinants in shaping safety. The proposed method of measuring collaboration efficacy is both, quantitative and qualitative. However, this method is open and indicators can be shaped according to individual needs.

In the research carried out by one of Polish research agencies [Pentor 2010], local administration offices were in general seen as institutions which, despite high expenditures, maintained inefficient operations and as a result did fully satisfy the needs of citizens. In addition, searching for the causes of failures in projects, the lack of professional approach to project management should be highlighted, which relates to the undertaken ad hoc adaptation activities to changes in the environment, and the implementation of projects in interim and in unsystematic way. The research found that the consequence of this state of affairs was the reduction of the effectiveness of implementation of projects and of synergistic effect created by audited entity. As a result, the growing importance of project management in the functioning of local government units in Poland, with low levels of performance previously practiced in this field, tended to take the search for a new approach to project management in the units.

W XXI wieku, w erze gospodarki opartej na wiedzy, trwały sukces przedsiębiorstwa na rynku osiągnąć można przede wszystkim poprzez poprawę efektów uzyskiwanych przez pracujących w nim ludzi oraz rozwijanie zespołów i poszczególnych osób. Trzeba mieć też na uwadze, iż efektywność można rozpatrywać z różnych punktów widzenia, wynikających z rozumianych przez nią efektów. W praktyce gospodarczej istnieje wiele terminów o podobnym znaczeniu: sprawność, skuteczność, produktywność, rentowność czy też ekonomiczność. Wszystkie jednak dążą do pomiaru efektywności, gdyż najczęściej definiuje się ją jako uzyskane efekty w odniesieniu do poniesionych kosztów – zależy to od postawionego przez przedsiębiorstwo celu. Trzeba też zrozumieć, iż nie można efektywności przypisać jednoznacznie jednemu działaniu, ponieważ jest to szereg czynności, które zmierzają do osiągnięcia, wyznaczonego przez przedsiębiorstwo celu. Dlatego też niezwykle ważni są w tym procesie ludzie (pracownicy), których efektywna praca przekłada się na efektywność całej firmy.
In the 21st century, in the era of the economy based on the knowledge, on the market to achieve the permanent success of the enterprise it is possible above all by the improvement in effects get by people working in it and developing teams and individual persons. It is necessary to take into account also, that it is possible to consider the effectiveness from different points of view, resulting from effects understood by her. In practice economic many dates exist about the similar importance: the efficiency, the effectiveness, the productivity, the profitability or also a cost-effectiveness. All however effectivenesses are approaching the measurement, because she is most often defined as get effects with reference to incurred costs – it depends on the destination put forward by the enterprise. It is necessary also to understand, that it isn’t possible to assign the effectiveness explicitly to one action, since it is sequence of duties which aim at the achievement, appointed by the enterprise of the purpose. Therefore in this process people are extremely important (for worker) which the effective work is transferring oneself to the effectiveness of the entire company

The article presents the issues of effective management of local government debt. Local government debt can be seen as an effect of accumulated budget inequality. The considerations in the article concern the analysis of the sources of financing the activities of local government units and the effectiveness of their use in the context of maintaining an appropriate level of liquidity and meeting statutory standards. For this purpose, financial data of local government units for the years 2010–2020 were examined. The study was enriched with the results of research on the budget policy of municipalities on which the authors worked in previous years. It made it possible to trace the tendencies in the field of debt policy in local government units and to establish the challenges faced by representatives of local government authorities.

Przedsiębiorstwa funkcjonują w dynamicznie zmieniającym się otoczeniu, w którym dominuje niepewność, a w związku z tym pojawia się coraz wyraźniejsza potrzeba zarządzania ryzykiem. Celem artykułu jest zidentyfikowanie metod oceny skuteczności i efektywności zarządzania ryzykiem w przedsiębiorstwach oraz wskazanie determinant skuteczności i efektywności systemów zarządzania ryzykiem. W artykule zaprezentowano główne założenia i wyniki współczesnych badań dotyczących systemów zarządzania ryzykiem opracowane na podstawie studiów literaturowych.
Enterprises operate in a dynamically changing environment in which uncertainty prevails, and therefore there is a growing need for risk management. The purpose of the article is to identify the methods for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management in enterprises and the determinants of the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management systems. The article presents the main assumptions and results of contemporary research on risk management systems based on literature studies.

Self-management is a relatively new concept. Only a human with the sustainable personality, a relatively broad knowledge of the surrounding reality and the sense of his / her own life is able to wisely pursue his / her far-reaching life goals. The balance between the most crucial aspects of personality, i.e. physicality, mentality, spirituality and emotionality, is the most important condition to make the above possible. If a person treats those characteristics in a balanced manner and none of them gains a significant advantage over others it should be assumed that all decisions concerning the present and future socio-occupational and personal life will be rational, deliberate and planned in such a way that any socio-situational conditions never interfere his / her traced out vision of life.

Organizations today are looking for a variety of methods and actions that will allow them to gain a com- petitive advantage in a highly uncertain environment. In this context, rational and efficient use of human resources through addressing the age-related differences in needs and abilities of individuals, is gaining importance. The purpose of this article is to look at the issue of age management through the prism of obtaining organizational effectiveness. It is about conceptual tracing of the links between specific age-related measures undertaken by companies towards employees and operational as well as strategic effectiveness obtained as a result. The research method used here is the theoretical analysis of literature on the subject. The article is an attempt to compile the above-mentioned elements i.e. age management and organizational effectiveness into a coherent and bringing the intended results total.

Reorientacja systemu ochrony zdrowia w kierunku rozwiązań stosowanych z powodzeniem w krajach, gdzie realizowana jest liberalna doktryna ekonomiczna, oznacza konieczność dokonania usprawnienia zasad organizacji systemu ochrony zdrowia jako całości oraz organizacji i funkcjonowania poszczególnych jego podmiotów. Osiągnięcie celów stawianych przed dokonywanymi w ramach reformy działaniami, których wspólny mianownik można określić jako uzyskanie pożądanej efektywności systemu ochrony zdrowia jako całości oraz poszczególnych jego podmiotów, wymaga implementacji innych niż dotychczas sposobów zarządzania jednostkami świadczącymi usługi zdrowotne, a to takich, które stosowane są z powodzeniem w sektorze organizacji komercyjnych. Mając na uwadze różnice, jakie występują między sektorem publicznym a prywatnym, uważamy, iż możliwe jest zastosowanie w organizacjach metod i narzędzi zarządzania, jednak z uwzględnieniem specyfiki sektora ochrony zdrowia.
Reorientation of the healthcare system towards solutions successfully implemented in countries following a liberal economic doctrines signifies at need for reinventing both the healthcare system as a whole and its individual entities. Achieving the goals of reform orientated towards attaining the desired efficiency of the healthcare system and its organizations requires implementation of management methods used in commercial organizations. Taking into account differences existing between the public and private sector, we believe that it is possible to apply methods and management tools from the private sector, but their application must take into account the specifics of the healthcare sector.
