- Bodzanów parish was probably established at the turn of 12th and 13th century, when the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was being built. Since late 17th century, the parish was a part of Bodzanów dekanate, which in turn was a part of Płock archdiaconate, Płock diocese. In October 1774, Norbertine canonesses from Płock have proposed Maciej Garnysz (Dean of Włocławek and Canon of Płock) to Bishop of Płock Jerzy Michał Poniatowski, as candidate for the position of parson in Bodzanów. The document, edited in the source annex, is a valuable source document for the history of Bodzanów parish. The annex also includes a list of abbesses and provosts of St Mary Magdalene Abbey in Płock since mid-16th century until the end of 18th century
