The paper presents a method of modelling photovoltaic (PV) cells in the MATLAB & SIMULINK environment. A two-diode photovoltaic cell structure was developed, featuring series resistance. Measurements of a PV panel were carried out to determine the value of series resistance, open circuit voltage, and short-circuit current. The model suggested was used to operate the ST-STP020S-12/Cb panel with an actual input function (measurements of solar radiation power density of the south-east area of Poland in 2011). Simulation experiments were conducted of the system modelled to determine current changes, power changes, electric energy production, voltage-current characteristics, and to come up with results and draw final conclusions.

Opis:
The main object of the research was to examine the acceptable time horizon that could be predicted by previously learned models of the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) TGE S.A. system. The article contains the results of research on the predicting ability of different ANN models of the DAM TGE S.A. The research was conducted based on data covering the operation of the Polish stock exchange in the period from 2002 to 2019 (the first half of the year). The research was carried out based on the learned ANN models of the DAM system. Data were taken for examination covering the time from 2002 to 2019 (1st half of the year) and was divided into a different period, i.e., a month, a quarter, and a half-year., year, etc. The MSE, MAE, MAPE, and R2 were adopted as the criteria for assessing the ability of individual models to predict electricity prices. The research was carried out by successively expanding forecasting periods in a rolling manner. For example, for a half-year, prediction time intervals were increased from one week to month, two months, quarter, half-year, etc. results for a model representing a given period. A lot of interesting research results were obtained.

Randomly selected population of individual chromosomes in both the initial and in the following parent population have been converted to binary values, and these to quantum values by using created for this purpose quatization() function. Quantum gene value was determined on the basis of stonger pure state represented by different chromosomes, to which dequantization() function was used. Selection of individuals was conducted based on the model of neural robot PR–02 motion implemented in Matlab language using calculationsNeuralNetworks() function.

Opis:
The work contains selected results of research on the application of quantum computer science to a systemic evolutionary algorithm for the purpose of improving accuracy of neural models in electrical engineering and electrical power engineering. Artificial neural networks are used in neural modeling, which networks are designed and taught models of systems using available numerical data. Parameters of neural networks, and especially, elements of weight matrices, biases as well as parameters of activation functions may be improved using evolutionary algorithms. It seems that applying solutions offered by quantum computer science to systemic evolutionary algorithm, and especially, as regards creation of quantum initial population, quantum crossover and mutation operators as well as selection, considerably improves the accuracy of modelling, which was verified in MATLAB and Simulink environment using selected examples such as RP–02 robot’s arm movement, the development of the Polish Electrical Power Exchange (polish: TGEE) system, etc.

In the study the method of modelling of the photovoltaic system (PV) in MATLAB & SIMULINK environment was presented along with test results of the impact of shading on the value of energy output from the photovoltaic system. The PV system model constructed of five parallel connected photovoltaic panels of TPSM6U type was proposed. Simulation tests were conducted considering the effect of poor and strong shading of panels causing differences in the density of the radiation power (irradiance) for individual panels and the PV system. The values of electrical energy generated by individual PV panels and the whole photovoltaic system were determined for the purposes of the actual forces. Optional switching on and off of the bypass diodes was considered in the photovoltaic panels. The tests were developed and final conclusions were formulated.

Opis:
W artykule przedstawiono możliwości zastosowania zintegrowanego środowiska programistycznego MATLAB&Simulink do komputerowej symulacji wybranych układów sterowania. MATLAB (MATrix LABoratory) to program komputerowy będący interaktywnym środowiskiem do wykonywania obliczeń naukowych i inżynierskich, służącym do tworzenia symulacji komputerowych, zaś Simulink to część pakietu numerycznego MATLAB dający możliwość symulacji komputerowych modeli przy pomocy interfejsu graficznego oraz tzw. bloków. W artykule podano przykłady symulacji rozwiązań równań różniczkowych zwyczajnych, wyznaczania różnych typów charakterystyk częstotliwościowych; badania stabilności układów na podstawie kryterium Hurwitza i Nyquista; badania stabilności, sterowalności i obserwowalności układów wielowymiarowych; wyznaczania portretu fazowego oraz regulacji dwupołożeniowej.
The paper presents the possibilities of using the integrated environment of MATLAB&Simulink for computer simulation of selected control systems. MATLAB (matrix laboratory) is a multi-paradigm numerical computing environment and fourth-generation programming language. A proprietary programming language developed by Math-Works, MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages. Simulink, also developed by MathWorks, is a graphical programming environment for modeling, simulating and analyzing dynamic systems. It offers tight integration with the rest of the MATLAB environment and can either drive MATLAB or be scripted from it. The paper shows examples of solutions of ordinary differential equations, determination of different types of frequency characteristics, system stability tests based on the Hurwitz and Nyquist criteria, stability testing, controllability and observability of multidimensional systems, creation of phase-portrait and study of two-position control.

The subject of the examination was the Day-Ahead Market system of PPE S.A. The article presents the learning results of both networks and the results of the predictive abilities of the models. The research was conducted based on data published on the Polish Stock Exchange for the 2018 year. The MATLAB environment was chosen as a tool for providing the examinations. The determination index (R2) and the mean square error (MSE) was adopted as the network evaluation criterion for the learning ability and for the prediction ability of both networks.

This article, which is a continuation of the article under the same main title and subtitle: part 1 Design and its implementation, includes the obtained results of research experiments with the use of a designed and implemented racing game. It uses a neural model of the vehicle motion control system on the racetrack in the form of a Perceptron Artificial Neural Network (ANN). In designing the movement of vehicles on the racetrack, the following were used, inter alia, Godot Engine and MATLAB and Simulink programming environment. The numerical data (14 input quantities and two output quantities) for ANN training were prepared with the use of semi-automatic measurement of the race track control points. This article shows, among others, the results of 10 selected research experiments, testing and simulation, confirming the correct functioning of both the computer game and the model of the neural control system. As a result of simulation tests, it turned out that the longest lap of the track in the conducted experiments lasted 4 minutes and 55 seconds, and the shortest - 10.47 seconds. In five minutes, the highest number of laps was 34, while the lowest numbers of laps were 1 and 5. In the course of the experiments it was noticed that under the same conditions the ANN learning outcomes are sometimes different.

The subject of the research was placed within the scope of the available literature on the subject. Then, appropriate research experiments on human movement along a given trajectory were developed. First, the method of measuring the parameters present in the experiment was established, i.e. input quantities (displacement of the left heel, displacement of the right heel) and output quantities (displacement of the measurement point of the human body in space). Then, research experiments were carried out, as a result of which numerical data were measured in order to use them for teaching and testing the Artificial Neural Network. The Perceptron Artificial Neural Network architecture was used to build a model of a neural human walk along a given trajectory. The obtained results were discussed and interpreted, drawing a number of important conclusions.
