    Heinz Piontek and Christa Wolf before the turnaround. A comparative study. The article is a comparative study. The aims of the study is to analyze the essays written by Heinz Piontek and Christa Wolf before the turnaround, mainly in the 1970’, and to discuss the similarities and differences between them. We can notice some points of contact in their literary work. Similar motives in similar constellations appear in both essays writing. Although they worked in different regimes, the same themes and literary tendencies are described by both of them, and some phenomenons are being similar assessed.

    Opis:
    Noch weit über dreißig Jahre nach der deutschen Wiedervereinigung gibt es in der germanistischen Literaturwissenschaft in keiner Weise eine Einheitlichkeit in der Begriffsbestimmung zu der nach 1989 in Ostdeutschland geschriebenen Literatur. Termini wie Wendeliteratur, Regionalliteratur, ostdeutsche Literatur und Post-DDR-Literatur bestimmen die Aussagen. Dabei ist auffallend, dass in literaturwissenschaftlichen Abhandlungen der postkoloniale Diskurs über Jahre weitestgehend ausgeblendet bzw. sofort wieder in Frage gestellt wird. In der Aufnahme postkolonialer Verfahren wird in dem Beitrag der ‚dritte Raum‘ in der Post-DDR-Literatur bestimmt, indem die vom amerikanischen Kulturwissenschaftler und Philosophen Homi K. Bhabha geprägten ‚Gegengeschichten‘ in ihrer Bedeutung erschlossen werden, da sie kritische Perspektiven auf Einheit und Vielheit einer Nation sowie deren Postulat einer stabilen teleologisch und hegemonial informierten Geschichtspolitik artikulieren können.
    Jeszcze trzydzieści lat po zjednoczeniu Niemiec w literaturoznawstwie germanistycznym nie ujednolicono w żaden sposób określania literatury powstałej po 1989 roku w Niemczech Wschodnich. W wypowiedziach na ten temat pojawiają się pojęcia takie, jak ‘literatura przełomu’, ‘literatura regionalna’, ‘literatura wschodnioniemiecka’ lub ‘literatura post-NRD-owska’. Zauważalne jest równocześnie, że w pracach literaturoznawczych przez wiele lat unikano dyskursu postkolonialnego, bądź też natychmiast go negowano. W nawiązaniu do metod analizy zjawisk postkolonialnych w artykule określono ‘trzecią przestrzeń’ w literaturze post-NRD-owskiej poprzez uściślenie znaczenia tzw. ‘historii przeciwstawnych’ ukonstytuowanych przez amerykańskiego kulturoznawcę i filozofa Homi K. Bhabha, gdyż pozwalają one na krytyczne spojrzenie na jedność i wielość jednego narodu oraz jego postulat prowadzenia teleologicznie stabilnej i hegemonialnie zorientowanej polityki historycznej.
    The German unification process took for more than thirty years ago and still there is no consistency in German literary studies in how to define literature that has been produced in East Germany after 1989. There are terms like ‘Wendeliteratur’, ‘Regionalliteratur’, East German literature or Post-GDR-Literature. Postcolonial discourse has rarely been considered by German philologists or has been questioned from the core. By using postcolonial analysis methods my aim is to define the ‘third room’ in post-GDR-literature and to find ‘Gegengeschichten’ the American scientist and philosopher Homi K. Bhabha located in his postcolonial studies on modern nations. The ‘Gegengeschichten’ are able to articulate a critical perspective on unity and plurality of nations and questions their posit of a stable, teleological and hegemonical informed history policy.

    W artykule Recepcja twórczości Jenny Erpenbeck w Polsce i krajach niemieckojęzycznych przedstawiona została twórczość niemieckiej pisarki Jenny Erpenbeck z perspektywy literaturoznawczej i krytyki literackiej. Omówione zostały następujące aspekty utworów Erpenbeck: rozrachunek z przeszłością nazistowską (obecny zarówno w niemieckiej, jak i polskiej recepcji), rozliczenie z dyktaturą reżimu komunistycznego w NRD oraz problematyka współczesna (podejmowane głównie w recepcji niemieckiej). W artykule przedstawiono rozbieżności i podobieństwa w polskich i niemieckich przyczynkach literaturoznawczych i krytycznoliterackich poświęconych powieści Klucz do ogrodu (Heimsuchung). Uwzględnione zostały również analogie w przedstawianiu elementów świata powieściowego (rzeczy i ich funkcja w literaturze) u Erpenbeck i w utworach polskich pisarek Olgi Tokarczuk i Joanny Bator.
    The article entitled The Reception of works by Jenny Erpenbeck in Poland and in the German-speaking countries presents the artistic work of the German writer Jenna Erpenbeck from both the Polish and the German perspective. In particular, the article highlights those aspects of Erpenbeck’s works that could be of interest to Polish readers, such as coming to terms with the Nazi past, but also with the dictatorship of the communist regime and the contemporary problems. The Polish and German reception of Erpenbeck’s works focuses mainly on memoirs, the article presents similarities and differences in the Polish and German reception of, primarily, the novel Visitation (Germ. Heimsuchung), as well as the analogies in presenting the elements of the fictive world by Erpenbeck with those found in the works of Polish writers Olga Tokarczuk and Joanna Bator.
    Im Artikel „Rezeption der Werke Jenny Erpenbecks in Polen und den deutschsprachigen Ländern“ wurde das Schaffen der deutschen Schriftstellerin Jenny Erpenbeck aus der literaturwissenschaftlichen und literaturkritischen Perspektive dargestellt. Besprochen wurden folgende Aspekte der Romane Erpenbecks: die Abrechnung mit der Nazivergangenheit (präsent sowohl in der polnischen als auch in der deutschen Rezeption), die Bewältigung der kommunistischen Vergangenheit in der DDR und die aktuelle Problematik ihrer Werke (angesprochen vor allem in der deutschen Rezeption). Im folgenden Beitrag wurden Diskrepanzen und Ähnlichkeiten in den polnischen und deutschen literaturwissenschaftlichen und literaturkritischen Besprechungen dargestellt, die sich auf den Roman Heimsuchung beziehen. Berücksichtigt wurden auch Gemeinsamkeiten in der Darstellung der Romanwelt (Dinge und ihre Funktion in der Literatur) bei Erpenbeck und in den Werken der polnischen Schriftstellerinnen Olga Tokarczuk und Joanna Bator.
