Artykuł prezentuje podstawowe zasady funkcjonowania istniejącego w Płocku w latach 1611-1773 kolegium Towarzystwa Jezusowego1. Ogólnej, obowiązującej we wszystkich domach jezuickich regule nauczania, towarzyszyły zawsze niepowtarzalne elementy lokalne. Tak było również w Płocku. Dom Towarzystwa był nie tylko szkołą, gdzie nauczano łacińskiej gramatyki i składni, ale również żywym centrum duchowości i kultury, promieniującym na codzienne życie Grodu Krzywoustego. Życie kolegium splatało się z życiem miasta a ogólne zasady funkcjonowania w płockich realiach nabierały specyficznego, lokalnego kolorytu. Ten szczególny związek, dzięki wyjątkom z kronikarskich zapisów, udaje się odtworzyć i jeszcze raz spojrzeć na budujące lokalną społeczność współistnienie środowiska nauki i wiary, miejsce przekazywania wiedzy i nauczania mądrości.
The article presents the basic functioning of the Company of Jesus College in Płock in the years 1611-1773. Apart from the mandatory rules of learning that operated in every Jesuit house, there were also additional rules unique to that house. The situation was no different in Płock. The Company of Jesus house was not only a school where Latin grammar was taught but also a thriving centre of spirituality and culture, influencing daily life in Krzywousty’s City. College life merged with city life and Płock gained its own distinct character. Thanks to chronicles, this exceptional relationship between college and city can once again be observed; the local community building centres of learning and faith, places of passing on knowledge and learning wisdom.

Jan Duklan Michnar belonged to the most outstanding fathers of the Blessed Virgin Mary Immaculate Conception Order of Friars Minor Province in the 20th century Poland. He was recognized as a great preacher and a prolific feature writer who left a considerable amount of literacy works. This article’s author aimed at showing Jan Duklan Michnar’s profile and to discuss some of his religious publications, as well as his numerous homiletic works whose typescripts are deposited in the Province Archives in Kraków. Jan Duklan Michnar was a well-educated specialist in Polish studies, whose passion was general history. After graduation, he was directed to the Serafic College in Radecznica, where he was a Polish language and history lecturer, being the College director at the same time. Jan Duklan’s articles written to Franciscan magazines can be divided into two groups: the first one created in the years of 1923 – 1939 and the second one created in the years of 1956–1966. The keynote of the first group articles was emphasizing the Franciscan and tertiary ideas as well as a widely recognized spiritual-moral background of the readers, who were ley people in their majority. In 1956 Father Duklan’s articles started to appear in ‘Serafic Youth’ (‘Młodzież Seraficka’) and in ‘Vita Provinciae’. Those were mainly his reminiscenses written on various anniversaries celebrated in the Province or to familiarize the young generation with the Observants monks, important events or significant persons. Father Jan Duklan left over thirteen volumes of sermons and homiletic works which can be regarded as his preaching activity and his priesthood summary. His homiletic works were mainly based on Marian teaching.

Opis:
The article lays down the analysis of the scope and methods of operation of the Soviet state security bodies in 1939–1941. It describes the technology of political search as the main profile of Stalin’s special services. On the basis of documents of NKVD of the USSR the categories of the so-called “anti-Soviet element” are described. Some features of the secret service work, field surveillance, mail cover check, the use of provocative methods in the struggle with “enemies of the people” are revealed. The arrests procedure, investigations organization and the system of imprisonment functioning, the use of offence methods and in-ward agents by interrogation officers are investigated. Considerable attention is paid to the activity of the Special conference at NKVD of the USSR, which was the key organ of extra-judicial punishment of the political prisoners. The article is written based on the original actual material, first of all based on the documents of the National Archives of the Security Service of Ukraine, Branch National Archives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Russian State Archives of Social and Political History, the Russian State Archives of the Contemporary History, the State Archives of Russian Federation.

Opis:
This paper examines the composition of both Oxford and Cambridge Universities, with particular emphasis upon the college-based tutorial as the blueprint for a more relational form of education. The article covers a brief history of the college system, the life cycle of an Oxford student, and the educational outcomes of the tutorial. This is shown to promote creativity of thought, and therefore proves to be a successful method of teaching. In conclusion, it is suggested that the tutorial is gaining popularity within secondary education as an alternative to group teaching, chiefly because of its focus on the development of the individual student.
W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono strukturę uniwersytetów w Oksfordzie i Cambridge; skupiono się szczególnie na opartym na strukturze kolegialnej systemie tutoringu jako modelowym rozwiązaniu edukacji opartej na relacjach. Przedstawiono historię systemu kolegialnego, kolejne etapy doświadczeń studenta oraz skutki stosowania systemu tutorialnego. W tekście argumentuje się za tym, że jest to skuteczna metoda uczenia, która wspiera twórcze myślenie. W podsumowaniu wskazuje się, że tutoring staje się coraz bardziej popularny w szkolnictwie średnim jako alternatywa dla uczenia grupowego. Jest to umotywowane przede wszystkim naciskiem, jaki tutoring kładzie na indywidualny rozwój każdego ucznia.

The second meeting of the Archaeology Advisory College at the National Heritage Board of Poland, held on 21 August 2008, considered current problems of archaeological conservation. The first part discussed archaeological storehouses, presented exemplary solutions, and recognised the interest of self-government authorities to be a necessary condition for the establishment of new facilities. The second part of the meeting was devoted to cooperation between the National Heritage Board of Poland and the General Head Office of National Roads and Highways. The participants discussed problems associated with a rapid increase in the number of planned road investments, which leads to the growth of salvage-oriented archaeological studies.

Józef Herman Osiński związany był z Kolegium Pijarskim w Rzeszowie w latach 1757 – 1758 (lub 1757 – 1759) jako uczeń oraz w latach 1778 i 1783 – 1786 jako nauczyciel. Pobyt prekursora elektryczności w mieście nad Wisłokiem jest mało znany. Z zachowanych źródeł i powstałych na podstawie ich analizy opracowań wiemy, jak wyglądały budynek szkolny i kościół oraz ich wyposażenie i obejście, gdy Osiński przebywał w Rzeszowie. Znamy kilku jego wychowawców (prefektów Floriana Grochowskiego i Marcina Moszczeńskiego, nauczyciela Andrzeja Jodłowskiego), kilku kolegów szkolnych (Patrycego Skaradkiewicza, Stanisława Ładowskiego i Michała Siekierzyńskiego) oraz współpracowników z okresu, gdy był wykładowcą (Gabriela Szybińskiego i Józefa Piotrowskiego). Wymienieni pijarzy cechowali się wszechstronnością. Wnieśli znaczący wkład do nauki i dydaktyki, byli kronikarzami, tłumaczami, poetami i nie ulega wątpliwości, że wywarli duży wpływ na rozwój zainteresowań J. H. Osińskiego. Do poznania sylwetek innych osób, z którymi zetknął się w rzeszowskim kolegium „pierwszy polski elektryk” niezbędne są systematyczne badania historyków regionalistów.
Kazimierz Osiński (the convent name - Józef Herman) was at first a pupil in 1757-1758 or 1757-1759 and then a teacher in the Piarist Collegium in Rzeszów in 1778 and between 1783 - 1786. There, in his free time without young people, he was working on his books The way of life and property insurance against lightning and “The work of the air machine of Mr. Montgolfier.” Hardly is it known about his stay in the town upon the Wisłok River. It is due to the fact that, soon after the cassation of the Piarist Order, in 1790 their archive was sold at auction; though a purchaser was not stated. The description of the school building and the church is possessed, as well as their furnishings and yard, when Osiński resided in Rzeszów. We know some of his tutors (the prefects – Florian Grochowski and Marcin Moszczeński, the teacher Andrzej Jodłowski) some schoolmates (Patrycy Skaradkiewicz, Stanisław Ładowski and Michał Siekierzyński), his colleagues when he was a lecturer (Gabriel Szybiński and Józef Piotrowski). Mentioned Piarists were characterized by versatility. They made a significant contribution to science and teaching, they were chroniclers, translators, poets and, no doubt, it is appropriate to introduce their profiles since they exerted a strong influence on the development of interests of J. H. Osiński.
