    Artykuł przedstawia dyskusję, do której doszło w pierwszych dniach lutego 1965 roku w Ariccia na spotkaniu podkomisji doktrynalnej mającej opracować na potrzeby Soboru Watykańskiego II propozycję konstytucji pastoralnej Gaudium et spes. Porównano dwa projekty: oficjalny tekst Pierre’a Haubtmanna i projekt krakowski Karola Wojtyły. Pierwszy projekt podkreślał rolę społeczności katolickiej w budowaniu relacji międzyludzkich, dialogu i współpracy ze światem z odwołaniem się do katolickiej doktryny społecznej. Położono akcent na „zrozumienie” współczesnego świata przy jednoczesnym ukazaniu jego chrześcijańskiej wizji. Drugi projekt prezentował teologiczne podstawy posłannictwa Kościoła w świecie, ze szczególnym zwróceniem uwagi na prawo wolności religijnej i zachowanie tożsamości ludzi wierzących. Wskazywał na nadprzyrodzony, zbawczy charakter działania Kościoła jako istotny wymiar jego natury, ale także w relacji z dzisiejszym światem. W trakcie debaty podkreślono kluczową rolę antropologii chrześcijańskiej dla właściwego ujęcia relacji Kościoła do świata. W wyniku dyskusji postanowiono, że projekt Haubtmanna zostanie uzupełniony o rozdział eklezjologiczny: „Zadania Kościoła we współczesnym świecie”. Było to skutkiem wzięcia pod uwagę głównej linii projektu krakowskiego Wojtyły, wyrażającego doświadczenia Kościoła zza żelaznej kurtyny.
    The article presents the debate which took place during few days on February 1965 in Ariccia (near Rome), where the members of the subcommittee of doctrine “Gaudium et spes” met to prepare the pastoral constitution. Two projects were compared. The firstone was that of Pierre Haubtmann from Paris and the second one that of Karol Wojtyła from Cracow. The role of the catholic community in forming interhuman relationship, dialogue and the significance of social doctrine of the Church were underlined in Haubtmann’s project, and as well a Christian vision of the world was presented. The second project showed the theological principles of Church’s mission in today’s world with special attention given to religious freedom and the identity of believers. The supernatural, salvific character of the Church’s activity was stressed as an essential perspective in her relationship with the contemporary world. During the debate, the key role of Christian anthropology was indicated to treat this relationship as well. As a result of the debate the subcommittee decided to add to the Haubtmann project a new ecclesiological chapter: (“the Role of the Church in the modern world”) of the pastoral constitution. This was a result of having brought into consideration Wojtyla’s project which reflected the situation of Church behind the Iron Curtain at that time.

    serious confrontation with the subject: “Person” in the Code of Matrimonial Law (CIC and CCEO), is an—invariably relevant—challenge that the study of canon law and jurisprudence have to face. The argument for the validity of this conclusion is provided by the famous John Paul II’s thesis, proclaimed in the Familiaris Consortio exhortation (1981) and the famous 1997 Address to the Roman Rota, which can be summarized in the following words: the foundation and structural principle of interpersonal (ethical and legal!) relationships in marriage is matrimonial love. This axiom—still insufficiently present in the thoughts of canonists and church judges—reflects the deepest truth, of which “prophetically” the author of the monumental works Love and Responsibility and The Acting Person gave testimony; the truth that not elsewhere, but in the conciliar spiritually person-centric vision of matrimonial community (communio/consortium), a hermeneutic key should be sought for an adequate and complete understanding of the structure of marriage, harmoniously integrating its two personal and institutional dimensions.Karol Wojtyła’s/John Paul II’s brilliant thought deserved to be confronted with the premises that prove the hypothesis that the mere declarative identification in the expressed judgments/concepts with the idea of a personalistic aggiornamento (“programmed” especially in numbers 47–52 of the Council’s Constitution Gaudium et Spes) does not yet guarantee the adequacy and completeness of the canonistic approaches to the “truth of matrimony.” This is both in the sphere of theological exposure in accordance with the Magisterium (in the light of the “Image of God”) and at the praxis level: the interpretation and application of the normative records in the nodal canons of CIC and CCEO. The first part of the study is dedicated to illustrating such a state of affairs – in various proposals of doctrine and jurisprudence: from a concept that is completely misguided and destined to fail in advance; through a concept that, because of its extremely conservative approach to the need for vetera et nova harmonisation, has not stood the test of time, to concepts, indeed, universally acknowledged in the study of canon law, whose authors (or their adherents), after all, should be suggested to implement certain necessary corrections: bigger or smaller. In the second part, the research contemplation focuses on the conclusions of the realization of the conciliar postulate of “harmonization” in presenting a person-centric vision of matrimony. These synthetic remarks constitute an attempt to show the basis for an adequate interpretation of the formula adopted by the two codes announced in the title: “a partnership of the whole of life”.

    Punktem wyjścia jest w artykule pytanie: Czy istnieje związek między tematem słowiańskim we wczesnej poezji Karola Wojtyły a papieskim nauczaniem Jana Pawła II skierowanym do narodów słowiańskich? Rozpoznaniu głównych inspiracji i idei obecnych w juweniliach Wojtyły służy analiza trzech aspektów jego poezji: kreacji podmiotu, literackich pokrewieństw z wyboru oraz ewokowanych idei historiozoficznych. Wynik komparatystycznego badania wskazuje na zakorzenienie poetyckiej wyobraźni Autora przede wszystkim w Biblii i w twórczości polskich poetów romantycznych. Szczególnie uprzywilejowane miejsce zajmuje tutaj Cyprian Norwid jako autor poematów Promethidion i Fortepian Szopena. Koncepcja narodów i ich dziejowej misji ma i w poezji, i w nauczaniu papieskim liczne punkty wspólne z myślą słowiańską Adama Mickiewicza (prelekcje paryskie) i Norwida. Świadczą o tym wątki wybranych homilii oraz encyklika Slavorum apostoli.
    The starting point of this article is the question of whether there is a connection between the Slavic theme in the early poetry of Karol Wojtyła and the papal teaching of John Paul II addressed to the Slavic nations. The main inspirations and ideas present in Wojtyla’s juvenilia are identified through the analysis of three aspects of his poetry: the creation of the subject, the literary kinship by choice and the historiosophical ideas evoked. The results of this comparative research indicates that the author’s poetic imagination is rooted primarily in the Bible and in the works of the Polish Romantic poets. A particularly privileged place here is occupied by Cyprian Norwid, the author of the poems Promethidion and Chopin’s Piano. The concept of nations and their historical mission in the papal teaching has numerous points in common with the Slavic thoughts of Adam Mickiewicz (in his Paris lectures) and Norwid in his poetry. The threads of selected homilies and the encyclical Slavorum Apostoli testify to this.
