    Gospodarka platform internetowych jest umownym pojęciem używanym do określenia ogółu przedsiębiorstw, osób fizycznych oraz internetowych platform, współpracujących w modelu biznesowym, w którym platformy pełnią rolę pośredników pomiędzy pozostałymi podmiotami będącymi dostawcami i odbiorcami określonych dóbr. W artykule omówiono część tej gospodarki, obejmującą platformy pośredniczące w odpłatnym świadczeniu usług. Wyodrębniono właściwości gospodarki platform internetowych, które wywierają wpływ na bezpieczeństwo i higienę pracy osób świadczących usługi. Stwierdzono, że sposób organizacji pracy w gospodarce platform internetowych wpływa negatywnie na poziom bhp, powodując powstanie nowych zagrożeń bądź powiększając ryzyko związane z istniejącymi. Postuluje się kontynuowanie i pogłębianie badań dotyczących bhp w gospodarce platform internetowych celem zidentyfikowania źródeł zagrożeń i opracowania środków profilaktycznych w postaci rozwiązań prawnych i organizacyjnych.
    The platform economy is a conventional term used to describe enterprises, individuals and Internet platforms, cooperating with each other under a business model in which the platforms act as intermediaries between remaining two parties that are suppliers and recipients of specific goods. The article discusses the part of this economy that includes platforms intermediating in the provision of services against payment. The characteristics of the platform economy, which have an impact on the health and safety at work of workers providing services, were identified and the nature of this impact was characterized. It was found that the work organization in the platform economy has a negative impact on the health and safety, causing new hazards or increasing the risk associated with the existing ones. It is postulated to continue and deepen research on OSH in the platform economy in order to identify sources of hazards and develop preventive measures in the form of legal and organizational solutions.

    Od kilku lat globalne platformy internetowe są przestrzenią dla nowych form świadczenia pracy. Niektóre z nich swoją ofertę kierują na lokalny rynek pracy, inne działają w sposób globalny. Cechą, która wyróżnia tę formę świadczenia pracy od tych tradycyjnych, jest tzw. zarządzanie algorytmiczne. Polega ono na tym, że specjalnie zaprojektowany algorytm przydziela, optymalizuje i ocenia sposób wykonania zindywidualizowanych zadań poprzez konkretnych wykonawców usług. Zarządzenie algorytmiczne w środowisku pracy jest dziedziną wiedzy, o której, mimo gwałtownego wzrostu technologicznego, nadal niewiele wiemy. Konsekwencją daleko posuniętej integracji człowieka ze sztuczną inteligencją, w ramach zarządzania algorytmicznego, jest szereg problemów natury prawnej i etycznej. Jeden z nich to pytanie o to, czy tego typu format świadczenia usług powinien być objęty regulacjami ochronnymi, wypracowanymi przez dziesiątki lat na gruncie prawa pracy. Zakładając odpowiedź pozytywną, należy zapytać, jakie są cechy zarządzania algorytmicznego rozpatrywanego w świetle całości procesu zatrudnienia na platformie internetowej.
    For several years now, global Internet platforms have become a space for new forms of work provision. Some of them direct their offer to the local labour market, others operate globally. The feature that distinguishes this form of providing work from traditional ones is the so-called algorithmic management. It consists in the fact that a specially designed algorithm assigns, optimizes and evaluates the way of performing individual tasks and specific service providers. Algorithmic management in the work environment is a field of knowledge about which, despite the rapid technological growth, we still do not know much. The consequence of far-reaching integration of man with artificial intelligence, within the framework of algorithmic management, is a number of legal and ethical problems. One of them is whether this type of service provision should be covered by protective regulations developed over decades on the basis of labour law. Assuming a positive answer, one should ask what are the characteristics of algorithmic management considered in the light of the entire process of employment on an Internet platform?

    W artykule omówiono zagadnienia związane z prowadzeniem zajęć laboratoryjnych z przedmiotów chemia budowlana i materiały budowlane na kierunku Budownictwo. Pandemia z 2020 roku wymusiła natychmiastową zmianę formy nauczania.     In this paper we consider challenges regarding teaching of building chemistry and building materials for Civil Engineering udergraduates. 2020’s pandemic forced an immediate change of the way how the teaching is delivered. Against all obstacles, with unshakable desire to teach new generations, a decision was made to try replacing traditional teaching with a distant one, using the most modern distant teaching techniques.

    The paper refers to the issue of applying modern information technologies in the marketing of rural tourism. The results of the SWOT analysis of rural tourism in the border areas are presented in the context of its promotion. The authors describe the origin of a modern marketing tool: the multilingual information interchange platform, Via Gustica. The platform, promoting the border rural areas, is the effect of more than 2-year work of partners from the Lower Silesia and Saxony within the project entitled ‘Tourist promotion of the rural areas along the Polish-German border’, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Short- and long-term effects of the project are also discussed, e.g. benefits that result from creating a partnership network of many entities engaged in the promotion and development of rural areas, as well as widening their co-operation.

    The main purpose of the work was to analyze sensory platform solutions for use on the Internet of Things. Emphasis was placed on the literature study on Sensor Platforms, Internet of Things, Bluetooth Low Energy Communication Protocol, serial digital and analog interfaces most commonly used in sensory platforms. Analysis of sensory platform solutions was carried out in terms of their functionality and efficiency. The SensorTag CC2650 sensing platform by Texas Instruments, turned out to be the best and has been used to build the hub model. The hub model was based on hardware and software implementation, which resulted in the expansion of the sensor platform with 6 additional analog inputs and a Bluetooth Low Energy data transmission profile. Testing the correctness of the software produced in the laboratory environment has made it possible to determine the correct functioning of the concentrator model.
    Głównym celem pracy była analiza rozwiązań platform sensorycznych do zastosowania w Internecie Rzeczy. Nacisk położony został na studium literaturowe dotyczące platform sensorycznych, Internetu Rzeczy, protokołu komunikacyjnego Bluetooth w standardzie Low Energy, szeregowych interfejsów cyfrowych oraz analogowych najczęściej stosowanych w platformach sensorycznych. Analiza rozwiązań platform sensorycznych przeprowadzona była pod kątem ich funkcjonalności oraz wydajności. Najlepszą okazała się platforma sensoryczna SensorTag CC2650, firmy Texas Instruments, którą wykorzystano do budowy modelu koncentratora. Wykonanie modelu koncentratora opierało się na realizacji sprzętowej oraz programowej, którego efektem było rozszerzenie platformy sensorycznej o 6 dodatkowych wejść analogowych oraz profil transmisji danych w standardzie Bluetooth Low Energy. Testowanie poprawności działania wytworzonego oprogramowania w środowisku laboratoryjnym pozwoliło na stwierdzenie poprawności działania modelu koncentratora.

Modeling and design have been adopted as the leading methods for learning IoT topics. A home weather station is described as an example of a didactic IoT project.

Taki rozwinięty system złożony z wielu elementów wyposażony w odpowiednie oprogramowanie sterujące i aplikacyjne nazywa się Internetem Rzeczy (ang. Internet of Things, w skrócie IoT). Artykuł przestawia przegląd głównych cech technologii IoT oraz ogólną charakterystykę węzłów podłączanych do takiego systemu.
    Innovation and development in the field of computer and network technologies have led in the last decade to rapid development and expansion of the marketing offer associated with modern devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) for the average recipient. The growing offer of network possibilities and available applications has become the beginning of the idea of connecting various devices within the Internet network, also those that are not associated with computer technology such as sensors, household appliances, executive elements and even clothes or books. Such a developed system composed of many elements equipped with appropriate control and application software is called the Internet of Things (IoT for short). In order for an object to become part of such a system, a number of requirements related to its computing power, communication, routing etc. should be met. The article presents the main features of IoT technology and the general characteristics of nodes connected to such a system.

    Artykuł dotyczy pierwszego okresu rozwoju polskojęzycznych platform blogowych. Cel: Przedstawienie historii niekomercyjnych platform blogowych w Polsce oraz określenie ich wpływu na rozwój blogosfery. Metody badań: Analizą objęto lata 2000–2001, a materiał źródłowy stanowią m.in. dawne wersje stron WWW dostępne w Internet Archive. Wyniki i wnioski: W artykule scharakteryzowano platformy blogowe: Nlog, Prawda.org, Blog.art.pl oraz określono ich wpływ na ewolucję blogosfery w takich aspektach, jak znoszenie bariery technologicznej uniemożliwiającej blogowanie osobom pozbawionym kompetencji programistycznych czy ustalenie struktury blogu. Wartość poznawcza: Artykuł uzupełnia jedną z luk w badaniach nad polskojęzyczną blogosferą i stanowi odpowiedź na głosy ekspertów akcentujących potrzebę badań dotyczących dawnego kształtu sieci.
    The paper concerns a first stage of the Polish language blogging platforms development. Scientific objective: The aim of this paper is to introduce the history of non-commercial blogging platforms in Poland and to define their influence on the growth of the blogosphere. Research methods: The analysis covers the years 2000-2001 and the source material is (among others) previous versions of Web pages available in the Internet Archive. Results and conclusions: The presented paper contains a characteristic of the blogging platforms: Nlog, Prawda.org, Blog,art.pl and sets out their impact on the evolution of the blogosphere in such aspects as removing the technological barrier making blogging impossible for people without programming skills or setting the structure of the blog. Cognitive value: The paper fills a research gap in studies on Polish language blogosphere and is the answer on experts’ voices emphasize the need for research on the past shape of the Internet.

    Przywracanie ludzkiej skali do miast i oddawanie miasta ludziom przemieszczającym się pieszo opiera się na stopniowej eliminacji ruchu samochodowego, otwieraniu przestrzeni publicznych oraz na udrażnianiu bezpiecznego ruchu rowerowego i pieszego. Jest to zadanie bardzo trudne. Aby mieszkańcy miast zaczęli preferować poruszanie się pieszo muszą mieć stworzoną odpowiednio atrakcyjną ofertę. Jednym z największych sprzymierzeńców w popularyzowaniu "pieszego stylu życia", wydaje się dzisiaj postęp technologiczny w dziedzinie komputeryzacji i bezprzewodowej komunikacji mobilnej w powiązaniu ze współczesnymi możliwościami interaktywnego zarządzania danymi. Pozwala to na powiązanie rozwiązań dedykowanych odbiorcom indywidualnym z rozwiązaniami w skali miejskiej. Dzięki współczesnym multimedialnym urządzeniom mobilnym, odpowiednio przygotowanym interaktywnym wirtualnym portalom miejskim oraz pokryciu miasta zasięgiem nadajników WI-FI i BLUETOOTH możliwe staje się w pełni aktywne funkcjonowanie mieszkańców w strefach pieszych, gdzie z symbolicznej ławki w parku, która kojarzy się z brakiem zabiegania, pośpiechu i zgiełku, można połączyć się z siecią i załatwić większość swoich bieżących spraw "on-line".
    Restoring the human scale in cities and bestowing cities to people moving around on foot is based on the gradual elimination of car traffic, on opening of public spaces and on enhancing safe bicycle and pedestrian traffic. It is a very difficult task. City residents must be provided with a sufficiently attractive offer in order to start preferring moving around on foot. One of the most effective allies in popularizing "the pedestrian lifestyle" seems to be the technological progress in the field of computerization and wireless mobile communications, in connection with the contemporary opportunities of interactive data management. It allows to connect solutions dedicated to individual recipients with solutions operating in the scale of the entire city. Thanks to contemporary multimedia mobile devices, properly developed interactive virtual city portals and covering the city with the range of WI-FI and BLUETOOTH transmitters, it becomes possible for city residents to fully function in the pedestrian zones, where from a symbolic bench in the park, which usually brings the associations of a withdrawal from all the urban rush, hurry and bustle, one can connect with the network and handle all their current business "online".

    With the development of tourism in the inland waters, various types of accidents in the waters have posed a great threat to human life, property, and the environment. This has caused concern in all circles of society. According to water tourism safety issues, and relying on Internet technology, shipping safety, and public safety management theory, this paper has proposed the concept and design plan of an Internet + maritime emergency management platform. This platform includes functions such as the intelligent perception of a ship’s navigation status, the scientific selection of a maritime emergency rescue site, the emergency rescue scene, the online dynamic management of maritime emergency resources, and the online production of a maritime emergency rescue plan. The design scheme has been used in the platform’s development. This paper has taken the application of the Internet + maritime emergency management platform for the Liujiaxia reservoir in the Gansu Province of China as an example. The results showed that the design of the platform that has been proposed in this paper is reasonable and that it can provide scientific, fast and accurate decision information for emergency command in the Liujiaxia reservoir and improve the effective control of the accident site as well as the use of resources.

     In recent years, the majority of studies on new technology-related phenomena have focused either on proving the benefits of innovative solutions or on criticizing social costs. The path chosen in the reviewed book Collaborative Society by Dariusz Jemielniak and Aleksandra Przegalinska is to capture a wider cultural shift that is taking place because ICT (Information and Communication Technology) tools allow people to take advantage of their willingness to cooperate. The key thesis is that the collaborative society goes far beyond the sharing economy – or economy in general. New means of digital communication, remix culture and citizen science prove that this shift is transforming social relations and our mutual relations. The authors search for the manifestations of a collaborative society in joint online production and consumption, cooperation of social activists and hacktivism, social production of knowledge, gadgets encouraging cooperation and subversive connection in digital spaces. The future of cooperation is a story about the tension between the new, communal mode of production and its distortion by capitalism. The book is a good summary of the research area and an introduction for anyone looking to explore this topic or participate in a collaborative society.

    Research background: With growing evidence of consumer adoption of mobile shopping apps, there is a pivotal need for comprehending Internet-enabled consumer devices in mobile shopping behavior. Mobile shopping platform features and user technological readiness configure consumers' expectations and demands as regards mobile retailing adoption, leading to acceptance of mobile shopping apps and payment services. Purpose of the article: In this research, prior findings have been cumulated indicating that mobile social apps extend throughout consumer attitudes and behaviors by the widespread adoption of smartphones. We contribute to the literature by showing that cutting-edge technological developments associated with customer behavior in relation to mobile commerce apps have resulted in the rise of data-driven systems. Consumer behavioral intention and adoption intention in relation to mobile shopping apps/websites are developed on perceived risk and trust consequences. Methods: Throughout February and March 2021, a quantitative literature review of the Web of Science, Scopus, and ProQuest databases was carried out, with search terms comprising "mobile shopping app", "mobile commerce platform", "mobile payment service", "Internet-enabled consumer device", "consumer technological adoption", and "mobile shopping behavior". As research published between 2018 and 2021 was analyzed, only 330 sources met the suitability criteria. By removing questionable or indeterminate findings (insubstantial/inconsequent data), results unconfirmed by replication, too imprecise content, or having quite similar titles, 66, chiefly empirical, sources were selected. A systematic review of recently published literature was carried out on technological adoption of mobile commerce apps by employing Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. The Systematic Review Data Repository was used, a software program for the gathering, handling, and analysis of data for the systematic review. The quality of the academic articles was determined by harnessing the Mixed Method Appraisal Tool. Findings & value added: The consumer purchase decision-making process in mobile app-based marketing involves consumer engagement and willingness to adopt mobile commerce apps. Further advancements should clarify how technological-based consumer adoption of mobile shopping throughout social commerce can improve the payment for products and services.

Cyfrowy świat niesie nie tylko zagrożenia, ale również korzyści. Logopedzi, którzy są odpowiedzialni za rozwój językowy dzieci, powinni szczególnie uważnie obserwować i badać te zjawiska, by wypracować jak najlepsze metody stymulujące mowę i komunikację „cyfrowych tubylców”.
    The author of the article analyzes the phenomenon of b-learning in speech therapy of children. The article presents answers to research hypotheses from the PhD dissertation of the author, ”B-learning in the diagnosis and speech therapy of children”. The author tries to find an answer to the question whether new technologies have a positive impact on the linguistic development of contemporary children? The digital world has not only risks but also benefits. Speech therapist, who are responsible for the linguistic development of children, should pay particular attention to these phenomena and study them in order to develop the best possible methods of stimulating the speech and communication of ”digital natives”.

    W artykule przedstawiono problemy z przechowywaniem danych cyfrowych w bibliotekach, które są nie tylko nabywcami danych, ale i ich wytwórcami. Przybliżono wybrane światowe i polskie projekty bezpiecznej i długoterminowej archiwizacji. Zwrócono uwagę na konieczność wypracowania ogólnopolskiej strategii i procedur właściwego przechowywania i zarządzania cyfrowymi zasobami, aby zapewnić im długoterminową użyteczność oraz znacząco obniżyć koszty wieczystej archiwizacji.
    The paper presents problems with the storage of digital data in libraries, which are not only the data buyers nowadays, but data manufacturers as well. Selected Polish and international projects on secure long-term archiving are discussed. The authors emphasize the need of developing national strategies and procedures for the appropriate storage environment and digital asset management to ensure the long-term accessibility and usability for the spiraling amounts of digital data and to significantly reduce long-term archiving costs.
