    Opis:
    Informatyka, a zwłaszcza jej zastosowania zyskują coraz większe znaczenie dla życia współczesnych społeczeństw, a te najbardziej rozwinięte określa się mianem informacyjnych. W zinstytucjonalizowanej edukacji szkolnej w Polsce przedmioty informatyczne zaistniały kilkanaście lat temu. Interesującym obszarem badawczym okazał się zakres przygotowania informatycznego wśród uczniów, którzy ukończyli kształcenie na poziomie gimnazjum. Wybrano do badań region Zagłębia Dąbrowskiego i przeprowadzono test wiadomości z informatyki dla losowo wybranej próby reprezentatywnej absolwentów gimnazjów. Wyniki statystycznego opracowania przeprowadzonych testów wiadomości z informatyki prezentują znikome lub umiarkowane przygotowanie informatyczne absolwentów gimnazjów w regionie Zagłębia Dąbrowskiego. Pomimo powszechności Internetu wśród respondentów badana warstwa pojęciowa dziedziny informatyki jest obszarem wiedzy najsłabiej opanowanym przez uczniów.
    Information technology especially its usage gets more and more larger meaning for the contemporary societies, those most developed ones are described as information societies. In institutionalized school education in Poland, IT subjects were introduced a few years ago. The knowledge squired by students of junior high school is an interesting research area. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie was introduced to carry on tests assessing the computer knowledge of the group of junior high school graduates chosen at random. The statistic results of the above mentioned tests show scarce and moderated the computer knowledge of respondents in Zagłębie Dąbrowskie area. Despite the popularity of the Internet among junior high school students, the terms of the computer science turned out to be the most faintly well-known area.

    RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The main purpose  of this paper is to analyze the level of competences among postgraduate students of Big Data, digital marketing and trend-watching specialization at the Department of Journalism, Communication and Technological Studies University of Lower Silesia. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: The main aim of the paper is to diagnose and define competences of the future in the context of the labor market and to indicate points the most important competences in the didactic process. Current data from labor market and 12 in-depth interviews with lecturers working on the project are analyzed. The group of lectures consists of academics and professionals. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The argumentation comprises two main parts. Firstly, most needed competences in the field of internet marketing are characterized. Currently available data from the labor  market is the basis of this part of the study. In the second part, dilemmas of lectures , their observations and conclusions are presented. Competences which are considered as key one by academics and professionals are named. RESEARCH RESULTS: Students’ digital competences are considered by the lecturers to be at the very high level, however, their social and managing skills are considered to be poor . CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The research points out  the necessity of developing students’ social and interpersonal competences. At the same time, students’ digital competences should not be neglected. The most important recommendation for academic society is that professionals should  be included as lecturers in order to adjust the academic education to the demanding labor market.

    School health education is supposed to be aimed at taking actions based on the concept of positive health and good well-being but its scope is extending due to socio – cultural changes. Nowadays virtual world is becoming a part of the social reality and is perceived as an important socialization factor. For this reason Internet use should be treated as one of the health education areas as it influences psychosocial health and wellbeing of individuals. The article presents the Polish educational system and the place of health education in core curriculum. This issues constitute a theoretical framework for reporting the findings of research, which were aimed at determining the behaviours of Polish pupils undertaken in virtual space. The main goal of the research was to establish the influence of these behaviours on physical and psychosocial health as well as wellbeing of respondents. A similar studies were conducted by Sonia Livingstone, Michał Klichowski and Maciej Tanaś. The research proved the strong engagement of pupils surveyed in all types of Internet activities, which had an impact on occurring disorders of many areas of functioning (e.g. back pains, visual problems, tiredness, anxiety, insomnia, learning difficulties, social problems). The findings justified the urgent need to include the issues regarding safe and healthy behaviours undertaken in cyber space in health education curriculum. In conclusion some guidelines for educational practice have been formulated.

    Dynamic technological progress is actively influencing the shape of modern education. Inventions that are constantly appearing on the market are often adapted to the needs of schools. One of the technologies that shows special potential in didactics is beacons. Beacons are small devices that can be used for communication, navigation and researching the recipient’s behavior. These functionalities are used in the education process, enabling the creation of completely new learning experiences. According to research, they can be successfully used in the classroom, during the formal learning process, as well as in various institutions, such as in informal transfer of knowledge, for example in cultural institutions. These sensors can contribute to the creation of a dynamic space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, which will automatically respond to the individual needs of the recipient. The main goal of this article is to present the possibility of using beacons in the context of stationary education. The considerations were based on a review of the available literature. The work draws attention not only to the problems of the sensors themselves, but also to the possibility of their cooperation with other technologies. The collaboration of technical tools may contribute to the creation of more comprehensive solutions and, as a result, an increase in the quality and efficiency of the education process. However, as the analysis shows – beacons can be a promising technology in education, but their use is niche. Perhaps in future years, there will be more such solutions that will enable a more accurate assessment of these sensors. The author intends to continue her research to support the adoption of the described technology in Polish educational institutions.

The advantages and disadvantages of learning online have been pointed out. Development of education technologies together with new methodologies of gathering and distributing information opens alternative forms of education in an educated society

    The author presents the problem connected to the use of the internet teaching English to business students. All the materials and information available on the internet help students to improve their text understanding, writing, listening, grammar, vocabulary, idioms and conversations in English. The author compares traditional and new interactive teaching methods. The paper consists of a list with internet addresses, which can help in English teaching. That list was prepared by the author of the paper.

    The article presents the general characteristics and the didactic activity of the Pedagogical Provincial Library in Krakow (PBW). This library is a partner of teachers and all persons implementing the teaching process, and it is also an ambassador of modern education. PBW supports schools and educational institutions. In every school year, an educational offer is prepared, tailored to the needs of recipients and current environmental requirements. The Library promotes different activities on its website and in selected social networks.

    At particular stages of its development, the Internet [or the World Wide Web] would be referred to as the iconosphere, semiosphere or infosphere to imply its nature of a ‘self-regulating ecological system‘ capable of accommodating infinite numbers of icons [i.e. representations], meanings [generated in the perpetual process of semiosis], and fresh news items. All these function as contexts to ‘Internet Education [IE]‘ understood as the body of e-learning courses provided via the Internet. But actually the Internet remains deeper involved in IE provision in consequence of its multiple other capacities of, inter alia, a marketing tool, a mirror of trends, and a magnifier of perceptions. To see how the above multiplicity affects information provision, the author took up an Internet query and collected some observations on IE featuring hypertext nodes [equivalent to linked entries] only to discover that [apart from purely commercial agents] they are mainly put up by two types of entities, i.e. non-for-profit organisations and universities. Both identify their mission as creating new [technological or educational] opportunities and target individuals in restrained life situations with a marketing type rhetoric contrasting global with individual perspectives [or advocating ‘going global‘ as a strategy to escape personal constraints]. The resulting image highlights selected IE strengths [further hyped by visualisations, more conservative for academic institutions than other organisations]. A more balanced IE picture should emerge from thematic reports, but these are scarce. The latest comprehensive UNESCO report relatively easily accessible on the Internet comes from 2003, Moscow. Its argumentative section inspires looking at the hypertext entries targeted at ‘on-line‘ and school teachers, as well as parents. In the guise of ‘useful tips‘ they signal the problems associated with the use of the Internet in education – related contexts and, interestingly enough, stay in line with the findings from the studies focused on the cognitive styles, behaviours and constraints common among today’s twenty-year-olds [as representatives of the first generation raised in a fully Internet-penetrated world] who currently prevail among university students. By way of reference to the Internet’s multiple capacities [as mentioned above], the author asks the question if it is possible that the Internet could be used as a provider of remedies to the problems it has helped to create.
    Na poszczególnych etapach rozwoju o Internecie (lub sieci ogólnoświatowej, WWW) można mówić jako o ikonosferze, semiosferzelub infosferze, co ma implikować jego charakter „samoregulującego się systemu ekologicznego”, zdolnego do pozyskiwania nieskończonej liczby ikon (tzn. obrazów), znaczeń (generowanych w nieustannym procesie semiozy) oraz świeżych pozycji wiadomości. Wszystko to funkcjonuje jako konteksty edukacji internetowej (EI), rozumianej jako całokształt kursówe-uczenia się, realizowanych przez Internet. Tak naprawdę Internet pozostaje głębiej zaangażowany w realizację EI w efekcie jego licznych pozostałych możliwości, między innymi jako narzędzia marketingowego, zwierciadła trendów i zwielokrotnionych percepcji. Żeby zobaczyć, jak wyżej wspomniana wielorakość wpływa na przekazywanie informacji, autorka przeprowadziła kwerendę internetową i zebrała pewne obserwacje na temat hipertekstowych węzłów przedstawiających EI (ekwiwalent do haseł w linkach), by odkryć, że (poza czysto komercyjnymi czynnikami) tworzą je głównie dwa typy podmiotów, tzn. nie nastawione na osiąganie zysków organizacje i uczelnie. Jedne i drugie identyfikują swą misję jako tworzenie nowych (technologicznych lub edukacyjnych) możliwości i obieranie za cel osób w niekorzystnych sytuacjach życiowych z retoryką typu marketingowego, przedstawiającą perspektywy globalne w kontraście do perspektyw indywidualnych (lub będącą orędowniczką ‘rozpoczęcia działań globalnych’ jako strategii ucieczki odosobistych ograniczeń). Uzyskany wizerunek uwypukla wybrane mocne strony EI (dalej stymulowane przez wizualizacje, bardziej konserwatywne w przypadku placówek akademickich niż pozostałych organizacji). Bardziej zrównoważony obraz EI powinien wynikać z raportów tematycznych, lecz tych jest niewiele. Najnowszy wszechstronny raport UNESCO, stosunkowo łatwo dostępny w Internecie, pochodzi z roku 2003 z Moskwy. Jego rozdział argumentacyjny inspiruje do spojrzenia na hasła hipertekstowe skierowane do nauczających w systemie ‘on-line’ i nauczycieli w szkołach, jak również do rodziców. W przebraniu „użytecznych wskazówek” sygnalizują one problemy towarzyszące korzystaniu z Internetu w edukacji – powiązane konteksty i, co dość ciekawe, pokrywają się z ustaleniami badań skoncentrowanych na stylach poznawczych, zachowaniach i ograniczeniach powszechnych wśród dzisiejszych dwudziestolatków (jako przedstawicieli pierwszego pokolenia wychowanego w świecie całkowicie spenetrowanym przez Internet), którzy obecnie przeważają wśród studentów. Poprzez odniesienie się do wielorakich możliwości Internetu (jak już wspomniano) autorka zadaje pytanie o to, czy możliwe jest wykorzystywanie w Internecie oferenta jako środków zaradczych na problemy, które pomógł stworzyć.

    Artykuł przedstawia wyniki analizy forum dyskusyjnego poświęconego przyczynom ignorowania interpunkcji w tekstach współcześnie redagowanych przez Polaków. W trakcie analizy wyłonione zostały trzy kategorie głosów, w obrębie których plasowały się opinie forumowiczów — uczestników autorskiego kursu internetowego typu MOOC: 1. Demaskacja edukacji; 2. Technologie informacyjno-komunikacyjne jako podstawa upowszechniania się uproszczonego pisarstwa; 3. Mity na temat (nie)znajomości interpunkcji. Respondenci w obu współczesnych przestrzeniach komunikacyjnych (online i offline) odnotowują zarówno obecność normy interpunkcyjnej (komunikacja oficjalna, wzorcowa), jak i ignorowanie zasad interpunkcyjnych (komunikacja nieoficjalna w mediach społecznościowych).
    The paper disputes the results from the analysis of discussion forum about the causes related to ignorance of punctuation in the texts currently edited by Poles. Having analysed the texts, three categories of views were grouped following the respondents’ opinions. They were the participants of the author’s MOOC online course: 1. Unmasking education; 2. Information and communication technologies as the foundation for dissemination of the simplified writing; 3. Myths about (un)awareness of punctuation. Respondents in both modern spaces of communication (online and offline ones) register both presence of punctuation norm (official and standard communication and ignorance of punctuation principles (unofficial communication in social media).
