    Opis:
    Replacing the IPv4 protocol with IPv6 on the Internet is currently one of the aims of the European Union policy. The main reason for this replacement is the effeteness of the addresses pool in the IPv4 protocol, which can cause serious complications in the evolution of the Internet and its adaptation in new areas, e.g., in next generation mobile telephony or the so called Internet of Things. Simultaneously, the addressing capabilities of the IPv6 protocol are practically unlimited and its new functionalities increase the attractiveness of its usage. The article discusses the problems connected with the IPv6 deployment on the Internet. Especially, the rules for realization of the IPv6 deployment and rules for cooperation of IPv4 with IPv6 (including cooperation tests) in network infrastructure and in applications are presented. Moreover, the European projects' results and the activity's directions of the national project Future Internet Engineering are discussed.

    In this article the author follows progressive evolution in web design that has been observed in Google Maps over the last 13 years (2005–2018). The analysis includes the graphic presentation of buttons, their layout and the changes in the functionality of the website. The results of the analysis corroborate the argument that it is possible to adept the existing concept of progressive evolution, to the needs of Internet cartography. In the process of the analysis several crucial changes were spotted, such as the fact that as a result of the technological advancement the need to scroll the map with up, down, left and down buttons disappeared, being supplanted by the dragging function. In article all the discussed changes in Google Maps as an application for desktop computers and laptops, as well as a mobile application, prove that the product has been constantly improved. In the author’s opinion, the crucial aspect is to enrich the web map in the non-invasive way to make it as user-friendly and easy to use as possible. The synthetic juxtaposition allowed one to highlight the evolution, considered by the author an important feature of the non-invasive way of introducing changes. The author notes that progressive evolution on Google Maps and other internet maps will continue. It is important that the user’s needs are noticed during these changes.

    Nowoczesne technologie są doskonałym czynnikiem ułatwiającym relacje międzyludzkie. Eliminują lub marginalizują znaczenie granic geograficznych, politycznych i kulturowych. Zadajmy więc sobie pytanie, czy technologia zbliżyła ludzi i sprawiła, że zachowanie ludzi stało się bardziej zrozumiałe? Czy społeczeństwo skorzystało na wiedzy, która znajduje się w zasięgu myszki komputerowej? Innymi słowy, czy większe obciążenie informacyjne spowodowało poprawę więzi społecznych? Paradoksalnie przeciążenie informacji prowadzi do poczucia straty, a możliwość zdobycia wielu przyjaciół skutkuje sztucznością ludzkich relacji. Czy zatem nowoczesna technologia pozbawia ludzi ich naturalnej zdolności do wiązania się ze sobą, czy jest jedynie etapem rozwoju stosunków społecznych? Czy ludzie w dzisiejszym świecie mogą stać się częścią społeczeństwa i pełnoprawnymi obywatelami bez nowoczesnej technologii?
    Modern technologies are a great facilitator when it comes to interpersonal relations. They eliminate or marginalize the importance of geographic, political and cultural borders. Thus, let us ask ourselves a question whether technology has brought people closer together and have made people's behaviour more understandable? Has society benefited from the knowledge wicher is within a computer mouse's reach? In other words, has greater information load resulted in the improvement of social ties? Paradoxically, the overload of information leads to a feeling of loss, and the possibility to make a great number of friends results in the artificiality of human relations. Thus, does modern technology deprives people of their natural ability to bond with each other, or is it merely a phase in the development of social relations? Therefore, it is worth considering what is going to be the end result? Are people in today's world able to be a part of society and fully-fledged citizens without modern technology?

    Przez lata immanentną cechą radia była awizualność. Obrazy funkcjonowały jedynie w kontekście rozważań o wrażeniach percepcyjnych wywołanych w wyobraźni słuchacza. Ekspansja Internetu sprawiła, że obrazy w radiu stały się rzeczywistością. Współczesne radio, zachowując sygnał analogowy, jest również producentem multimedialnych treści publikowanych na wielu platformach dystrybucji. Posługuje się fotografią, wideo, współpracuje z telewizją, jest widoczne w mediach społecznościowych. Artykuł omawia wybrane aspekty wizualnej ewolucji radia: udostępnianie obrazu ze studia, projekt radia z wizją, wspólne programy stacji radiowej i telewizyjnej. Wskazuje również, jak zdjęcia i materiały wideo służą do budowania relacji z odbiorcą.
    For years, the immanent feature of the radio was avisuality. Pictures functioned only in the context of reflections on perceptual impressions produced in the listener’s imagination. Thanks to the expansion of the Internet, images in the radio have become reality. While retaining the analogue signal, the modern radio is also a producer of multimedia contents published in many distribution platforms. It uses photographs and video, co-operates with the TV and is visible in social media. The article deals with selected aspects of the visual evolution of the radio: the provision of picture from the studio, the project of a radio with vision, common programmes of radio and TV stations. It also shows how photographs and video footages are used for building a relation with the recipient.

Zwracają uwagę również na zacieranie się różnic między światem cyfrowym i rzeczywistym, co generuje interakcję wpływającą na gotowość obronną społeczeństw otwartych państw demokratycznych. Tekst nie aspiruje do wyczerpania tematu, ale zakończony jest apelem o budowę dialogu poświęconego szeroko rozumianemu bezpieczeństwu między specjalistami o kompetencjach inżynierskich, badaczami społecznego wymiaru rewolucji informacyjnej oraz osobami zajmującymi się problematyką bezpieczeństwa.
    The article attempts to consider the impact of two dimensions of the information revolution on the course of armed conflicts. The authors present a theoretical reflection on the dynamic development of social media and the dominant position of various transnational corporations. They also draw attention to the blurring of distinctions between the digital and the real world, which generates interaction affecting the defensive readiness of democratic states open societies. The text does not aspire to exhaust the topic; it is concluded with an appeal to build a dialogue dedicated to security in a broad sense between specialists with engineering competences, researchers of the social dimension of the information revolution and people working on security issues.

    W artykule dokonano próby przedstawienia ewolucji bankowości internetowej w Polsce, która dokonuje się od połowy lat 90. ubiegłego stulecia do czasów obecnych. Autorka przedstawia najpierw trzyetapowy podział rozwoju i-bankowości, a następnie zwraca uwagę na konieczność wyodrębnienia etapu czwartego. Szczególną rolę w artykule odgrywa krótkie omówienie tzw. technologii WEB 2.0, jako wyznacznika zmian również w bankowości internetowej (etap czwarty). Na koniec opracowania autorka przywołuje przykład, który obrazuje innowacyjną bankowość internetową oraz przedstawia rozbieżności w postrzeganiu WEB 2.0 przez klientów oraz przedstawicieli bankowych.
    The article attempts to show the evolution of online banking in Poland from the mid- nineties of the twentieth century to the present. Author presents the first three-stage development of banking and draws attention to necessity of isolation of the fourth stage. Important subject in the article is a specification of the so-called Web 2.0 technologies, as a determinant of changes in Internet banking (fourth stage). At the end of the study author presents the example that illustrates the innovative online banking and the differences in the perception of Web 2.0 by customers and bank representatives.
