    Ion-imprinted polymers (IIPs) are created based on enzyme phenomenon, where these polymers exhibit selective recognition of metal ions in the presence of matrix ions. For that reason IIPs find many applications in sensors, solid phase extraction and membrane separation of metal ions. This review focuses on the synthesis, characterization and application of IIPs.

    This publication refers to the J. Bowlby’s attachment theory. This theory says that in human there is a biologically conditioned tendency to search and create proximity to significant persons. Followers of Bowlby – C. Hazan i P. Shaver considered romantic relation as an attachment relation. They have found that both in child-parent and romantic relation the same biological system is responsible for emotional and behavioral evolution of relation. The base of attachment is emotional and psychical proximity. In this work it is emphasized how important for creation of attachment in romantic relation first sexual contacts are. It is also underlined that breaking romantic or child-mother relation may provoke serious traumatism. The author of the publication claims that among factors influencing proximity in sexual relation are: emotional proximity, sex (stronger impact in case of women), earlier effort to abstain from this relation (eg. religiously motivated), whether the partner is or is not the first one (stronger impact in case of the first sexual partner).

    Opis:
    There are higher requirements for microstructures and high-precision components in microelectronics, photonics, sensors, optoelectronics and medical devices. For changing the traditional manufacturing methods with cumbersome process and complex equipment, researchers put forward a laser shock forming technique which can contribute to the metal forming with high precision and efficiency in recent years. So far, the laser shock forming needed high pulse energy and high energy. In this paper, nanosecond laser with high frequency and low pulse energy was adopted to make possible the aluminum foil forming on the copper micro-molds with different sizes and shapes. The deformations of aluminum foil were measured by SEM, optical profiler and AFM. Also, the deformation laws were analyzed by comparing imprinting results under different micro-molds. Lastly, stress distribution and deformation process of aluminum foil was investigated by numerical simulations.

    Prenatal imprinting of sexual behaviour and of other traits by environmental toxicants has been one important topic in the ongoing discussions in environmental medicine. This review of the literature shows that, so far, concrete data are sparse and, in part, contradictory.
    Prenatalne naznaczenie, czyli imprinting zachowania seksualnego i innych cech wywołane toksynami środowiskowymi było ważnym tematem w toczących się dyskusjach w medycynie środowiskowej. Przegląd dotychczasowego piśmiennictwa wykazuje, że udokumentowane dane są skąpe i w części sprzeczne.

    Opis:
    Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) are the group of polymers that possess an ability to selective recognize analytes or groups of analytes, which are similar by their structural construction. The recognizing ability, which is generated during the synthesis of material, is determined by various factors such as shape, size, and the presence of functional groups in the MIP cavity. This molecular recess is created as a result of removing the specific analyte from the inclusive complex (polymeranalyte). Thanks to the valuable properties of molecularly imprinted polymers, these materials are commonly used in various fields. The multitude of their applications results from their properties such as high physical stability to harsh chemical and physical conditions, straightforward preparation, remarkable robustness, excellent reusability, and relative low-cost synthesis. Due to the attractiveness of MIPs widely demonstrated in the literature, as well as the possibilities of their application in various fields, these materials also have gained the favor of Professor Grzegorz Schroeder’s research group, in which numerous scientific works devoted to the subject of their use have been published.
