In this paper, we consider, and make precise, a certain extension of the Radon–Nikodym derivative operator, to functions which are additive, but not necessarily sigma-additive, on a subset of a given sigma-algebra. We give applications to probability theory; in particular, to the study of μ-Brownian motion, to stochastic calculus via generalized Itô-integrals, and their adjoints (in the form of generalized stochastic derivatives), to systems of transition probability operators indexed by families of measures μ, and to adjoints of composition operators.

The equation for nonlinear diffusion can be rearranged to a form that immediately leads to its stochastic analog. The latter contains a drift term that is absent when the diffusion coefficient is constant. The dependence of this coefficient on concentration (or temperature) is handled by generating many paths in parallel and approximating the derivative of concentration with respect to distance by the central difference. This method works for one-dimensional diffusion problems with finite or infinite boundaries and for diffusion in cylindrical or spherical shells. By mimicking the movements of molecules, the stochastic approach provides a deeper insight into the physical process. The parallel version of our algorithm is very efficient. The 99% confidence limits for the stochastic solution enclose the analytical solution so tightly that they cannot be shown graphically. This indicates that there is no systematic difference in the results for the two methods. Finally, we present a direct derivation of the stochastic method for cylindrical and spherical shells.

We consider the problem of optimal estimation of a state of a quantum system interacting with the Bose field being in a mixture of the vacuum and coherent state. The system and electromagnetic field are described by making use of quantum stochastic unitary evolution. We derive stochastic master equation using Gardiner and Collet's input-output theory and the concept of cascade systems. To find the stochastic evolution of the system conditioned on the result of the quadrature measurement of the output field, we extend the compound system by an ancilla driven by the vacuum and generating the desired non-classical state of light.

We establish a duality for two lactorization questions, one for general positive definite (p.d.) kernels K, and the other for Gaussian processes, say V. The latter notion, for Gaussian processes is stated via Ito-integration. Our approach to factorization for p.d. kernels is intuitively motivated by matrix factorizations, but in infinite dimensions, subtle measure theoretic issues must be addressed. Consider a given p.d. kernel K, presented as a covariance kernel for a Gaussian process V. We then give an explicit duality for these two seemingly different notions of factorization, for p.d. kernel K, vs for Gaussian process V. Our result is in the form of an explicit correspondence. It states that the analytic data which determine the variety of factorizations for K is the exact same as that which yield factorizations for V. Examples and applications are included: point-processes, sampling schemes, constructive discretization, graph-Laplacians, and boundary-value problems.

The paper deals with integrably boundedness of Itô set-valued stochastic integrals defined by E.J. Jung and J.H. Kim in the paper [4], where has not been proved that this integral is integrably bounded. The problem of integrably boundedness of the above set-valued stochastic integrals has been considered in the paper [7] and the monograph [8], but the problem has not been solved there. The first positive results dealing with this problem due to M. Michta, who showed (see [11]) that there are bounded set-valued -nonanticipative mappings having unbounded Itô set-valued stochastic integrals defined by E.J. Jung and J.H. Kim. The present paper contains some new conditions implying unboundedness of the above type set-valued stochastic integrals.

This paper shows a review of literature data on the possibilities of indium recovery from ITO layers of waste LCD and LED displays. A short characterization of indium, its compounds, resources, production, and applications is presented. The structure and operation of LCD displays are shown. A detailed overview of the ITO leaching process is presented. Methods of indium(III) ion separation from the leachate solutions (SX, HoLLE, IX) as well as recovery of the final products (precipitation, cementation, electrowinning) are also shown.
Artykuł przedstawia przegląd literatury na temat odzysku indu z warstw ITO w zużytych panelach LCD i LED. Przedstawiono krótką charakterystykę indu, jego związków chemicznych, zasobów, produkcji i zastosowań. Omówiono budowę i zasadę działania paneli LCD. W sposób szczegółowy opisano proces ługowania ITO. Przedyskutowano także metody rozdziału jonów indu(III) z roztworów po ługowaniu (SX, HoLLE, IX) oraz odzysku produktów końcowych (strącanie, cementacja, elektroliza).

This paper presents the results of a numerical analysis of nitride-based edge-emitting lasers with an InGaN/GaN active region designed for continuous wave room temperature emission of green and blue light. The main goal was to investigate whether the indium thin oxide (ITO) layer can serve as an effective optical confinement improving operation of these devices. Simulations were performed with the aid of a self-consistent thermal-electrical-optical model. Results obtained for green- and blue-emitting lasers were compared. The ITO layer in the p-type cladding was found to effectively help confine the laser mode in the active regions of the devices and to decrease the threshold current density.

This paper presents research on the deposition of an indium tin oxide (ITO) layer which may act as a recombination layer in a silicon/perovskite tandem solar cell. ITO was deposited by magnetron sputtering on a highly porous surface of silicon etched by the metal-assisted etching method (MAE) for texturing as nano and microwires. The homogeneity of the ITO layer and the degree of coverage of the silicon wires were assessed using electron microscopy imaging techniques. The quality of the deposited layer was specified, and problems related to both the presence of a porous substrate and the deposition method were determined. The presence of a characteristic structure of the deposited ITO layer resembling a "match" in shape was demonstrated. Due to the specificity of the porous layer of silicon wires, the ITO layer should not exceed 80 nm. Additionally, to avoid differences in ITO thickness at the top and base of the silicon wire, the layer should be no thicker than 40 nm for the given deposition parameters.

The article presents the method of magnetron sputtering for the deposition of conductive emitter coatings in semiconductor structures. The layers were applied to a silicon substrate. For optical investigations, borosilicate glasses were used. The obtained layers were subjected to both optical and electrical characterisation, as well as structural investigations. The layers on silicon substrates were tested with the four-point probe to find the dependence of resistivity on the layer thickness. The analysis of the elemental composition of the layer was conducted using a scanning electron microscope equipped with an EDS system. The morphology of the layers was examined with the atomic force microscope (AFM) of the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and the structures with the use of X-ray diffraction (XRD). The thickness of the manufactured layers was estimated by ellipsometry. The composition was controlled by selecting the target and the conditions of the application, i.e. the composition of the plasma atmosphere and the power of the magnetrons. Based on the obtained results, this article aims to investigate the influence of the manufacturing method and the selected process parameter on the optical properties of thin films, which should be characterised by the highest possible value of the transmission coefficient (>85–90%) and high electrical conductivity.

Artykuł stanowi wyłącznie zarys wykorzystania potencjału centrów usług wspólnych i robotyki w celu wspierania procesów księgowych przedsiębiorstw. W artykule przybliżona została istota tworzenia centrów oraz wykorzystania nowoczesnych technologii w standaryzacji i automatyzacji wybranych procesów. Opisano także wyzwania, jakie stoją przed przedsiębiorstwami w trakcie wdrażania zaawansowanych technologii, ewentualne bariery i potencjalne korzyści. W celu identyfikacji omawianej w artykule problematyki wykorzystano następujące metody badawcze pozwalające m.in. na ocenę stanu wiedzy teoretycznej oraz doświadczeń w zakresie omawianej tematyki: oprócz literatury naukowej korzystano także z raportów opublikowanych przez liczące się firmy doradcze. W celu weryfikacji dostępnych materiałów wykorzystano metody analizy oraz syntezy.
This article constitutes a mere portion of the potential of SCCs and robotics in fostering company’s accounting processes. The article provides insight into the essence of creating such centers and using state of the art technologies of standardization and automation of particular processes. It also describes the challenges that enterprises may have to face in connection with implementing advances technologies, potential barriers and opportunities. In order to identify the issue discussed in the article, the following research methods were used, allowing, among others for the assessment of the state of theoretical knowledge and experience in the subject matter discussed. In addition to the scientific literature, reports published by major consulting companies were also used. In order to verify available materials, analysis and synthesis methods were used.

The method of proof relies upon Taylor expansion, Burkholder-Gundy's inequality, best constants in Doob's maximal inequality, Davis' best constants in the $L^p$-inequalities for stopped Brownian motion, and estimates of the smallest and largest positive zero of Hermite polynomials. The results extend to the case of any continuous local martingale (by applying the time change method of Dubins and Schwarz).

Artykuł podejmuje temat półprzezroczystości w architekturze na przykładzie współczesnych obiektów architektonicznych w kontekście kultury japońskiej. Na podstawie założenia teoretycznego Jun’ichirō Tanizakiego, takiego jak kontrast pomiędzy wschodnią a zachodnią wrażliwością i estetyką, autorka podejmuje próbę potwierdzenia teorii Tanizakiego we współczesnych realizacjach japońskich, w których zastosowano półprzezroczystość.
The article deals with the topic of translucency in architecture on the example of contemporary architectural objects in the context of Japanese culture. Based on Jun’ichirō Tanizaki’s theoretical assumptions, such as the contrast between eastern and western sensibilities and aesthetics, the author attempts to find confirmation of Tanizaki’s theory in contemporary Japanese projects in which translucency was used.

In this article, we consider finite dimensional dynamical control systems described by nonlinear impulsive Ito type stochastic integrodifferential equations. Necessary and sufficient conditions for complete controllability of nonlinear impulsive stochastic systems are formulated and proved under the natural assumption that the corresponding linear system is appropriately controllable. A fixed point approach is employed for achieving the required result.

Among the large family of metallic oxides, there is a considerable group possessing excellent semiconducting properties. What follows, they are promising materials for applications in the field of optoelectronics and photonics. Thanks to the development of nanotechnology in the last few decades, it is now possible to manufacture a great variety of different nanostructures. By controlling their size, shape, composition and crystallinity, one can influence such properties as band gap, absorption properties, surface to volume ratio, conductivity, and, as a consequence, tune the material for the chosen application. The following article reviews the research conducted in the field of application of the metallic oxide nanoparticles, especially ZnO, TiO2 and ITO (Indium-Tin Oxide), in such branches of optoelectronics as solid-state lightning, photodetectors, solar-cells and transparent conducting layers.
