The aim of this paper is to comment the links between the work of Louis-Sébastien Mercier, The Year 2440: A Dream If Ever The Was One, and narrative utopia model. The Mercier’s work is often considered as inventive fiction which presents a new type of utopia focused on the future, but a large number of traditional narrative strategies is used by the author to show Paris in 25th century. The future civilization is built on the Enlightenment ideas but it remains still attached by its culture to the 18th century. The Mercier’s work is inspired by the utopism but in this fiction the reader finds more a fictional realization of dreams and philosophical thinking about human nature.

Opis:
This paper introduces a new classifier design method that is based on a modification of the classical Ho-Kashyap procedure. The proposed method uses the absolute error, rather than the squared error, to design a linear classifier. Additionally, easy control of the generalization ability and robustness to outliers are obtained. Next, an extension to a nonlinear classifier by the mixture-of-experts technique is presented. Each expert is represented by a fuzzy if-then rule in the Takagi-Sugeno-Kang form. Finally, examples are given to demonstrate the validity of the introduced method.

Opis:
First, a fuzzy system based on if-then rules and with parametric consequences is recalled. Then, it is shown that the global and local ε-insensitive learning of the above fuzzy system may be presented as a combination of both an ε-insensitive gradient method and solving a system of linear inequalities. Examples are given of using the introduced method to design fuzzy models of real-life data. Simulation results show an improvement in the generalization ability of a fuzzy system trained by the new method compared with the traditional and other ε-insensitive learning methods.

The Ukrainian creative galaxy of outstanding Ukrainian composers and performers has forever entered its history into the world treasure of musical creativity. Respect for the history and revival of Ukrainian musical art revives a new generation in the spirit of dignity and pride for the country. On the example of the work of Ukrainian professional masters, a new page of deep understanding of the identity of the nation and the purpose of society is revealed, there is a definition of the importance of preserving the Ukrainian musical treasure, both composer and performing. The main principle of the creative combination “composer-performer-listener” is to highlight the beauty of the country where you live. Historical memory, folk wisdom, Ukrainian identity, the beauty of the nature of the Ukrainian corner, melodious songs and national traditions, all the colors of the nationality are at the heart of Ukrainian composers. Executive professionalism and sensual perception of the violinist’s music provides an even more colorful trend for the listener. The article analyzes the combination of the disclosure of the composer’s idea and performance. The play “Music” by Ivan Fedorovich Karabits for solo violin fully corresponds to the semantic meaning of the concept of “music”, corresponding to all folklore folk traditions, revealing the violinist and his violin. The images are multifaceted, boundless; Pictures of everyday life, love songs, folk tales and legends, Ukrainian songs, the beauty of the native land, the history of the Motherland, the courage of brothers, etc. All stages of the program are a common understanding of the deep, essential and significant contribution to the creation of the form, principles and content of the work. And the main purpose of a piece of music is to understand the composer’s intention and musical idea of both the performer and the one for whom he reveals the beauty of the play “Music”, which is simply an example of the possibility of improvisation. Listening to music performed by an outstanding Ukrainian violinist, you really feel the master, Ukrainian “music”, a real Ukrainian. Understanding the work has recently become a hot topic for research. It is the psychological and emotional possibilities of human qualities that are studied by a fairly new concept of scientific musicology, musical hermeneutics. The combination of the outstanding violinist Anatoly Ivanovich Bazhenov and the talent of expressing his thoughts on the musical palette of the Ukrainian composer of our time Ivan Fedorovych Karabits carries the beauty and pride of Ukraine, especially in a difficult time for our country, when there is a war. Such music and performances raise the national spirit and the desire to win.

Opis:
Badacze zajmują się: (1) prowadzeniem badań naukowych oraz (2) upowszechnianiem ich wyników. Badacze zatrudnieni na uniwersytetach podejmują jeszcze dodatkową aktywność – (3) przekazują intersubiektywną wiedzę naukową (sprawdzone teorie i metody pozyskiwania tej wiedzy) swoim studentom i młodym badaczom, przygotowującym pod ich kierunkiem dysertacje doktorskie. Głównym kanałem przekazywania naukowych treści (wypełnianie przez badaczy obowiązku poddawania społecznej kontroli wytworów ich umysłów) są czasopisma naukowe. Tak jest w matematyce, fizyce, chemii, biologii, naukach medycznych czy w naukach inżynierskich. Tak też – w interesujących autora naukach społecznych – jest w psychologii. Z kolei w naukach humanistycznych (filozofia, historia, literaturoznawstwo itp.) duże znaczenie przypisuje się monografiom naukowym. Autor rozpatruje problem publikowania osiągnięć naukowych badaczy z obszaru nauk społecznych (ale jego rozważania mają też znaczenie dla klasycznych nauk humanistycznych) w czasopismach i w monografiach na tle dokonanych w Polsce – jego zdaniem - nieudolnie i bez należytego poszanowania tradycji, reform w obszarze nauki i szkolnictwa wyższego (tzw. ustawa Jarosława Gowina, ministra ds. nauki szkolnictwa wyższego, autoryzującego krytykowaną ustawę). Autor krytycznie odnosi się do negatywnych konsekwencji społecznych – zwłaszcza dla rozwoju nauki i studiów wyższych w Polsce. Autor krytycznie odnosi się do: (1) uznaniowego (bez racjonalnego uzasadnienia!) wyróżnienia listy wydawców książek naukowych, (2) stworzenia, bez należytej wnikliwości, listy czasopism. Te dwa wykazy stanowią podstawę do przeprowadzanych ewaluacji dorobku naukowego instytucji naukowych i pojedynczych badaczy. To nie mogą być rzetelne oceny. Zdaniem autora przeliczanie publikacji na punkty prowadzi do zjawiska depersonalizacji ocen osiągnięć naukowych (w wymiarze indywidualnym i instytucjonalnym). Prowadzi też do udziału, zwłaszcza młodych badaczy, w „wyścigu szczurów” (formuła: Publish or Perish) oraz rodzi zjawiska patologiczne w nauce: ghostwriting, guest authorship, plagiarism, self-plagiarism, falsification of data, fabrication of data,  publikowanie w predatory journals, publication bias. Środkiem zaradczym może być tylko odejście od „punktowania” publikacji i dokonywanie ocen metodą peer review.
The article raises a few issues – essential in the author’s view – which are related to the place of scientific journals in the system of science, with special emphasis laid on the publishing practice of scholars representing the social sciences. The practice of overusing bibliometric indices with which individual journals are assigned – especially in evaluation procedures – is taken into account and subjected to criticism. The author strongly supports DORA (the declaration on research assessment) when it comes to the common practice of replacing peer review with a simpler and more effective procedure of using bibliometric indices (also to assess the performance of individual scholars). When employers (for instance, universities) exert pressure on scientists to obtain points from publications, this results in a number of pathological phenomena: the emergence of predatory journals and the appearance of ‘virtual’ teams of authors only pretending to collaborate. The article ends with the author's recommendations for young scientists on how to design their careers – including how to publish wisely in scientific journals.

Opis:
In order to realize a system that supports human actions timely, the system must have a certain model of human actions. Therefore, we propose a modeling method of human actions. In this method, it is supposed that a person changes his action according to the situation around him, and the causality between the situation around a person and the change of a human action is modeled. This causality is expressed by an If-then-Rule style where a human action and the situation around a human are expressed by a discrete event and time series data respectively. Moreover, as the necessary function for human support systems, an estimation method of the next human action and its execution timing is consisted based on the proposed modeling method. The usefulness of the proposed modeling and estimation methods is examined through the estimation experiment of next human action and its execution timing with a radio-controlled vehicle.

Before WWII, Jadwiga Andrzejewska 1915–1977) was among the most popular actresses in Polish cinema. During WWII she acted in the Dramatic Theatre of the Polish Second Corps. Returning to her hometown Łódź in 1947 Andrzejewska was initially perceived by the Polish authorities as politically uncertain. Her notable theatrical roles included the heroine in A Woman of Wonder and the heroine in Mother Courage and Her Children. Although she lived in Łódź – a capital of Polish cinema – her film career languished after the war. She had bit parts in about thirty feature films (among them television films). Her biggest and most notable post-war role was in a political propaganda film produced for television, And if Will be Autumn…

Opis:
This paper shows effective method of linear distortions compensation in zero-IF receivers. With application of frequency domain processing a computation efficient method was developed that allows to correct quadrature mismatch in Zero-IF receiver along with gain and group delay independent of receiving signal type. Method was implemented and tested on hardware platform confirming its effectiveness. This method makes it possible to build high sensitivity devices to monitor spectrum in very wide frequency ranges.

Opis:
The mixture of Inorganic Fullerene-like (IF) WS2 and Graphene-like nanoparticles were tested under mixed and boundary lubrication in air. The mixture of nanoparticles was synthesized by chemical vapor condensation (CVC) by the pyrolysis of W(CO)6 carbonyls. The synthesized nanoparticles were not found to give an ultra-low friction coefficient compared to hexagonal 2H-WS2 nanoparticles made by special rolling-milling technique. However, under the conditions of our experiments using contact loads of 300-900N and sliding velocity 0.44m/sec it is found that all nanoparticles can dramatically improve the anti-wear properties of the base oil. Additionally, an unusual friction behavior was found for nanoparticle suspension applied in step-load tests. A sharp drop of friction coefficient (up to 0.015) was registered at the normal load increase while usually friction coefficient sharp increase (up to 0.025) occurs for oil lubrication case. The nanoparticles and the interface were investigated using High Resolution TEM, SEM, XRD and surface analyses (XPS) on the wear tracks. The WS2 graphene-like nanoparticles were found to present in amorphous-crystalline mixture. The WS2 films were generated at the interface. Shear-induced reorientation of the graphene-like nanoparticles at the increase of contact stress assured low friction and unusual friction behaviour as compared to those of oil lubrication.
Badano mieszaninę nieorganicznych cząstek fullerenopodobnych (IF) WS2 i grafenopodobnych w warunkach smarowania mieszanego i granicznego w powietrzu. Mieszaninę nanocząstek syntetyzowano w drodze skraplania pary chemicznej (CVC) przez pirolizę karbonylów W(CO)6. Nie stwierdzono, by zsyntetyzowane nanocząstki dawały bardzo niski współczynnik tarcia w porównaniu z sześciokątnymi nanocząstkami 2H-WS2 sporządzonymi specjalną techniką walcowania-mielenia. Jednakże, w warunkach naszych doświadczeń z zastosowaniem obciążeń stykowych 300-900 N i prędkości poślizgu 0,44 m/sek okazuje się, że wszystkie nanocząstki mogą znacznie poprawić przeciwzużyciowe własności oleju bazowego. Ponadto, stwierdzono niezwykłe zachowanie tarciowe dla zawiesiny nanocząstek stosowanej w próbach obciążania krokowego. Duży spadek współczynnika tarcia (do 0,015) zanotowano przy normalnym wzroście obciążenia, gdy tymczasem w przypadku smarowania olejem zwykle zdarza się duży wzrost współczynnika tarcia (do 0,025). Nanocząstki i powierzchnię styku poddano badaniu za pomocą TEM, SEM, XRD o wysokiej rozdzielczości i w drodze analizy powierzchniowej (XPS) na śladach zużycia. Stwierdzono obecność grafenopodobnych nanocząstek WS2 w mieszaninie amorficzno-krystalicznej. Na powierzchni styku tworzyły się filmy WS2. Spowodowana ścinaniem reorientacja nanocząstek grafenopodobnych przy wzroście naprężenia stykowego zapewniła niskie tarcie i niezwykłe zachowanie tarciowe w porównaniu ze smarowaniem olejowym.

The article examines the narrative strategies of two documentary films that give insight into the direct-action campaigns of two radical environmental groups; Jerry Rothwell’s How to Change the World (2015) recounts the birth of Greenpeace and its development of “mindbomb” communication strategies. Marshall Curry’s If a Tree Falls (2011) chronicles the rise and fall of the Earth Liberation Front and its tactics of ecotage. Situating both films in the larger history of radical environmentalism in the United States, the article explores the affective side of their rhetoric on two levels: on the level of the activists’ own communication strategies and on the level of the films made about these activists and their strategies. It argues that making a documentary film about radical environmentalist groups raises moral questions for the filmmaker and that, each in his way, Rothwell and Curry have both made films that straddle the line between ostensible objectivity and sympathetic advocacy for the individuals they portray.
Niniejszy artykuł analizuje strategie narracyjne dwóch filmów dokumentalnych, które dają wgląd w kampanie akcji bezpośrednich dwóch radykalnych organizacji ekologicznych. How to Change the World (Jerry Rothwell, 2015) opowiada o narodzinach Greenpeace i rozwoju strategii komunikacyjnych „bomby umysłowej”. If a Tree Falls (Marshall Curry, 2011) opisuje powstanie i upadek Frontu Wyzwolenia Ziemi (Earth Liberation Front) i jego taktykę ekotażu. Sytuując oba filmy w szerszej historii radykalnego ekologizmu w Stanach Zjednoczonych, artykuł przedstawia afektywną stronę ich retoryki na dwóch poziomach: na poziomie strategii komunikacyjnych aktywistów oraz na poziomie filmów nakręconych o tych działaczach i ich strategiach. Autorka dowodzi, iż kręcenie filmu dokumentalnego o grupach radykalnych ekologów wywołuje w filmowcach pytania moralne. Rothwell i Curry nakręcili filmy, które oscylują pomiędzy obiektywnością a empatycznym poparciem dla postaci, o których filmy te opowiadają.

This paper aims to select the hospitals based on incongruous and conflicting criteria involving group decision-making using the Intuitionistic Fuzzy (IF) and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The criteria used are concomitant to an insured public health scheme named Ayushman Bharat-National Health Protection Scheme (AB-NHPS) of the Government of India. For each alternative Euclidean distance has been used to calculate the positive and negative separation measure from the ideal solution. The relative closeness to the ideal solution has been used to rank the hospitals. The result is a list of hospitals ranked from best to worst based on the laid criteria. It can aid governing bodies in decision-making under an uncertain environment with multiple complex criteria to analyze.

Characterizations of IF-filters of a pseudo-BL-algebra are established. Some related properties are investigated. The notation of prime IF- filters and a characterization of a pseudo-BL-chain are given. Homomorphisms of IF-filters and direct product of IF-filters are studied.

Opis:
This paper shows results of researches of a structure and mechanical properties of metal sheets of IF steels subjected to recrystallization annealing. The annealing was held in the scope of the temperature of 600-900°C over 25 min time. The impact of heat treatment on changes of properties and structure of the researches steel has been analysed. During annealing typical processes of rebuilding of the structure deformed as a result of cold deformation in the form of forming new recrystallized grains and their growth were observed. As the temperature of annealing increases the hardness of the material gradually decreases.
